This year’s SIRE Under the Tuscan Stars event brought a beautiful touch of Italy to our community. Guests enjoyed an authentic Italian dinner, Wines of Italy tasting, limoncello cocktails, live entertainment by JB Barnett, casino games, auctions, and even hat branding.

A standout moment was a special performance by William Gray, who played piano and shared an original song inspired by Whiskey, the horse he rides at SIRE.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests—and a matching‑gift challenge from Jane and Johnny Mancuso—the evening raised over $210,000 to support SIRE’s mission.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Mary Elizabeth Wise Sand & Greg Mostyn, Leslie Kuhn & Mike Sowers, and Thomas Stringer & AJ Benjys for helping make the night unforgettable.

All SIRE Holiday Show

Congratulations to our riders who participated in the All SIRE Horse Show on December 9. We had 18 riders participate in friendly competitions and celebrate the holiday season with family, friends, staff and volunteers. Over $33,000 was raised to support the ongoing programs at SIRE and help to maintain the low-cost tuition for participants.

Hi! My name is Julia Brown and I am a current junior at the Awty International School in Houston, Texas.

My journey with SIRE began at the end of summer 2022 where I started volunteering weekly as a side-walker. Throughout these past few months, I helped incredibly talented riders achieve their goals, whether that be navigating an obstacle course without a leader or “turbo-walking” with only an ankle hold. The staff, horses, volunteers, parents, and of course riders have given me experiences and perspectives that deepened my love for this sport. From all the big equitation finals to ribbons in Wellington, SIRE has been the most enlightening and gratifying opportunity to date!

I feel an obligation to do everything I can to help make sure SIRE has the resources they need to feed horses, train staff and volunteers, and keep costs for services affordable for families. Will you please join me in supporting SIRE with a financial gift to meet these critical needs? I learned a gift of $21 can purchase a month of hay for one of their 30 horses. Saddle Up for SIRE surpassed its goal of $50,000. Combined with the All SIRE Horse Show, we celebrated the day with 30 riders who showcased their riding skills through friendly competitions. Families enjoyed holiday activities like cookie decorating and a surprise visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
