Cute overload! Meet little Petunia…she is a French Bulldog puppy and so adorable I can’t stand it! We went down to the boardwalk for a little photo shoot a couple of weeks ago and she was so much fun to photograph. She held up really well considering the fact that she is only about 9 weeks old. She was very outgoing and loved saying hello to everyone who walked by. Here are some of my favorite photos from our outing…

Martini & Molly Moo – Va. Beach, VA Pet photographer

Meet Martini and Molly Moo…these two are the dynamic duo of dogs. They were both so funny and a joy to photograph. Martini is the bulldog and she has the best expressions…there was never any doubt as to what she was thinking at any particular moment. My favorite part of the photo shoot was when her Mom put her in her winter sweater (which she absolutely hates) and she just stood there and would not move. She looked at us like we were beating and torturing her…I couldn’t help but laugh but felt bad at her obvious humiliation…Molly Moo was an entirely different challenge. She is the younger of the two and she wanted to lunge at the camera every chance she got. I was fully expecting to be head butted while holding my camera up to my face to take her pictures…luckily, a perfectly held leash kept her from taking out the photographer which is always a good thing! We lucked out and had a really beautiful, mild Winter day on the beach…here are their photos…

This year the calendar features pets that have been adopted from our shelter posing in front of local businesses that have supported the VBSPCA over the years. All of the proceeds from the calendar go directly to the animals which is awesome. This is my second year doing the calendar and it is always a lot of fun…BTW, the calendar is also available for purchase at the shelter, as well as, Doc Taylors Restaurant and Hotline Surf Shop. The cost is $12.00…what a deal and for a good cause!

Hey everyone! I have just updated the look of my blog for the new year…I have new galleries at the top of the page and some new social networking links as well. I will be trying out some new blog frames over the next few weeks, trying to see which ones work the best for me. Today I have a new blog template featuring a sweet little kitty named Madison. She is her Mom’s pride and joy and actually seemed to enjoy all of the attention focused on her at her photo shoot. Cats can be very wary of cameras and often times run and hide…Madison was a very curious kitty and was intrigued by the new visitor in the house. I wish I had more cat clients (hint hint) because they are so different than dogs and they challenge me to work in a very different way…so all you cat lovers out there need to step up and represent! I hope everyone has a great week…warm weather expected here, so I am happy ……

Most of the dogs had a great time….some were scared to death, others weren’t too sure about Santa and some just had a ball…the cats did suprisingly well…I hope these photos help get you into the holiday spirit!
