Google Buzz widget for Android devices has also been released today along with several other updates that Google Mobile team has made today.

They seem to be on a roll with updates for Android phones. Google has released a major update for Google Maps today and also launched the new Orkut for Android app.

The new Google Buzz widget allows you to post text and photos with a single tap. The widget lets you choose to tag your post with the location or place from which it was posted. Posts and updates will be posted in the background allowing you to continue doing whatever you were doing on the phone.

The widget is initially available in English for Android phones running on Android OS 1.6 (and later).

After dominating the web, Google entered the mobile market and now a Google TV? The search engine giant, Google, has teamed up with Intel and Sony to develop an Android-based platform known as Google TV.

The main idea behind this project is to make web apps like Twitter, Gmail, online high-quality video streaming etc accessible in your TV using the remote control. In simple words, it will bring the web to your living room and exploring the web will be as easy as changing the channels of the TV using a remote control.

The three companies have tapped Logitech to make the peripheral devices such as speakers and remote controls including a remote with a tiny keyboard which can help you navigate the web easily. According to sources, the three companies have refused to comment on this and said that they have no idea about this project.

Reports also suggest that the project started several months back and was described by people who have knowledge that the company is planning to launch an Android-based TV in collaboration with Sony, Intel and Logitech.

All we can do right now is wait and see whether all these rumor about the Google TV are correct or not. What do you people think about this under cover project of Google?

P0sixninja, the developer behind Greenpoins0n posted a long post telling about the details about this new unlock iPhone 3.1.3 tool and jailbreak iPad 3.2 exploits and tools. And also cleared the rumours that everyone was raising questions if Greenpoins0n is a fake tool or not.

Greenpoins0n is the tool I wrote about two days ago which claims to jailbreak iPad 3.2 firmware and now it would also be able to unlock and jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 firmware!

Jailbreak iPhone 3.2 with Greenpoins0n Possible

Samsung has finally announced that they have upgraded Samsung Galaxy Spica to the latest Android 2.1 OS. The upgrade will be available in Europe by the end of this month and will be released in Asia afterwards. However, there is no news when the upgrade will reach other countries.

Users who already own Samsung Galaxy Spica can upgrade their phone’s firmware via PC Studio 7, a tool designed to upgrade Samung mobile software, as the update will be available for users to download and install. If you don’t have PC Studio 7, you can download it from Samsung’s official site.

Although I am not a huge fan of Samsung mobiles but for people who want to enjoy the Android 2.1 OS and don’t want to spend a lot of money, they can give Samsung Galaxy Spica a try.

Earlier, when all the other mobile manufacturers had announced the availability of Android 2.1 for their devices, Samsung was the only one left to release any official word on that.

Orkut for Android app is now available for Android 1.6 (and higher) users and is now available for download from the Android Market.

Google announced the Orkut app after the announcement of their updated version of Google Maps for Android devices.

This latest version brings the best two features of orkut on your Android devices i.e Scraps and photo uploads.

You will now get a notification whenever you receive a new scrap on your Orkut profile. The notifications will appear on your Android device notification bar; clicking on notifications will take you to your scrapbook page.

Google Maps 4.1 Android Updated: Latitude Widget, Maps Live Wallpaper, New Search

Google has announced that Nexus One will now be available for AT&T in US and Rogers Wireless in Canada. When Nexus One was launched, it was only available on the Google Web Store, unlocked version so users can user any GSM network.

However, different carriers have different 3G frequencies. Nexus One in the start worked with almost all the carriers except AT&T and Rogers because of its 3G frequency. So users using any of these SIM cards usually could access 2G or EDGE network.

But if you visit Google Store, you can see the option of a new Nexus One which supports these 3G networks. And it can be used on any GSM operator worldwide. The new model can be purchased on Google Web Store without any service plan.

Can the compatibility issue be the reason for the decline in the sales of Nexus One? We cannot say right now. Let’s see if this boosts the sales of Google Nexus One.

Greenpois0n could be the first tool which would allows users to jailbreak iPad 3.2 OS. It is not yet verified if this tool is real or a fake one like Gull1hack, but the hacker has posted a screenshot of the iPad 3.2 jailbreak tool to prove its real.

You can check out the screenshots of Greenpois0n after the jump which is a tool to jailbreak iPad 3.2. P0sixninja, the man behind this tool posted these screenshots on his Twitter account.

By the looks of these screenshots, Greenpois0n looks like a real tool to jailbreak the iPad. But that will only be proved when once the iPad hits the market on April 3.

Greenpois0n is an iPad 3.2 jailbreak tool which help you in jailbreaking your iPad, which will be running on the iPad 3.2 firmware.

Apple started taking orders for the iPad on March 15, and will be delivering them on April 5, but hackers are trying to get their jailbreaking tools working before the iPad comes into the market.

So far, none of the iPhone hackers have come up with any announcement of working on an iPad jailbreak tool, but I’m sure as the product launches, there will be many tools released like in the case of iPhone.

Joshua Hill aka P0sixninja who is a member of the Chronic Dev Team, claims to be working on an iPad jailbreak tool called as Greenpois0n. But for that, he is asking for donations which will help him get an iPad.

Not sure, if this is for real and not another joke like the Gull1hack, but this will be only proved when the actual iPad comes out.

Few months back, at the PDC 2009 in November, Microsoft announced that they will be releasing a newer version of their browser i.e. Internet Explorer 9.

As the second day of MIX10 kicks off, Microsoft unveiled the Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview build for developers to try and experience how fast is the next IE.

Since the older versions of Internet Explorer had many bugs that caused many people to shift from their default Windows browsers to other alternative, Microsoft now attempts to bring back all the users who are using other web browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox.

Dean Hachamovitch, Microsoft General Manager of team responsible for the design, development, and release of Internet Explorer said,

“We are committed to updating the preview every eight weeks.”

Internet Explorer 9 is built upon a new Javascript engine known as Chakra which is faster and supports greater interoperability and standards. They also claim that the new Internet Explorer 9 will be faster and much more stable then the older versions which is a good sign, if they want to get hold of high browser market share.

Microsoft released the beta version of Silverlight 4 at PDC in November, 2009. On the 2^nd day of Mix10, Microsoft announced the availability of the release candidate version of Silverlight 4 which comes with many new features which include better out-of-browser capability, powerful media and better tools to support Visual Studio and Express Blend.

As many people speculated, Microsoft declared Silverlight 4 as the functionality platform for Windows Phone 7 Series. Microsoft also unveiled Express Blend 4 beta which also adds support for Silverlight 4, .NET Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010.

Microsoft’s Vice President, Scott Guthrie said,

Using Silverlight, you can deliver awesome applications for Windows Phone 7. It’s fully hardware-accelerated; it enables you to build smooth, fluid UI; you can choose to use either the default look-and-feel of the Windows Phone app [light text on dark background] or…you can have a custom app UI yourself. What this means is, you can build killer applications for this device.

Microsoft is working really hard in order to compete with the Silverlight substitute, Adobe Flash, by introducing features that were not present in the beta. They are even extending the new Silverlight in their upcoming Windows Phone 7 Series operating system which they describe as the functionality platform for WP7. Let’s see what else Microsoft releases in their ongoing Mix10 conference.

HTC HD3 Concept Pictures

Evan Williams, Twitter CEO, plans on introducing a new feature in Twitter, @anywhere, which will allow Twitter users to connect to their Twitter accounts using third party websites. This service allows users to easily share news while reading them online from different websites like The New York Times, eBay etc.

Twitter said they have developed a new set of framework which will improve Twitter experience. The new @anywhere feature does not work on the API already implemented by Twitter but works with simple javascripts. The owner of the side needs to add few links of javascript on his site to use this feature.

Some sites that will be testing out this new @anywhere feature include Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube.

Facebook Connect by Facebook also provide the same function so there is a big challenge for Twitter ahead as they have to compete with many big websites.

The launch date of this feature is not yet finalized by Twitter but it looks like they will be rolling out this new feature really soon.

After Seesmic for Android and Seesmic for BlackBerry, they have now introduced, Seesmic for Windows Phone at the MIX10 conference which is being held in Las Vegas.

Seesmic for Windows Phone is still in its early development stages, and by the time first Windows Phone 7 devices hit the market, they would be fully utilizing the Windows Phone’s OS rich user experience and full integration of Bing maps and its geo-location features.

Nowadays, so many rumors are going on all over the internet. First it was about iPhone 4.0 to support multi-tasking, Nokia to announce C6 and the latest rumor suggests that HTC is planning to launch HTC Touch Pro 3 running Windows Mobile 6.5.

Ofcourse, it won’t support Windows Mobile 7 because of its different requirements (but who knows?), but Windows Mobile 6.5 would be cool for the HTC Touch Pro 3.

A post on XDA said,

Just had a dinner with a friend of mine who is the main distributor for HTC in Europe, and he informed that they will receive the first shipment of Touch Pro3’s this summer and they will be on sale in Europe third quarter of this year. This is my main contact for HTC devices and he arranges a Touch Pro2 for me 4 months before it was officially released…He told me that the device will be much smaller and thinner, and soon he will provide me with the evidence including the full specifications Do you guys think this would be something you would purchase or would you rather wait for the Windows Phone 7?

Well, with Windows 7 release expected by the end of this year, the chances of HTC launching a WinMo based mobile are not very high. Even if they are planning to release the mobile this summer, there would have been some news related to its launch or an event where they would launch the product. Although there are chances it may be a Windows 7 based handset.

All we can do is wait and see what HTC will announce in the upcoming days.

Nokia C6 first exclusive photo has been leaked online. Nokia C5 was just announced a few days back, and now we have the C6.

Sony announced PlayStation Move yesterday. Yes, the long-rumoured motion controller was finally unveiled by Sony.

This long stick-shaped motion controller has been named PlayStation Move, which brings all the rumours of it being called the Arch (or previously known as PlayStation Motion Controller) to an end.

The announcement was made during Sony’s Game Developers Conference event yesterday. Several games were also demoed that you will be able to play with the PlayStation Move.

PlayStation Move is Sony’s answer to the Xbox Project Natal and Nintendo Wii and boy, the device looks amazing!

This device will be sold in several bundles/packages. There will be a “Starter Kit” which will include the Move, PlayStation Eye (camera) and a game which is expected to go on shelves at less than $100. Or it would be sold as a standalone device – cost of which is still unknown and could be sold bundled with the PlayStation 3 console too.

Sony also unveiled a wireless “PlayStation Move Sub-Controller” featuring an analog stick which will support Move in games. This is similar to that of Nintendo Wii’s Nunchuk.

Some of the games demoed at the Game Developers Conference were Sports Champions, Move Party and SOCOM 4 will be fully playable with the PlayStation Move and its Sub-Controller.

Few pictures and specs of Verizon’s upcoming Android based phone, HTC Incredible, have been leaked today. The pictures look somewhat real compared to all the prototypes that were leaked before. Rumors have it that it’s another Sense UI Android with an 8MP camera with LED flash.

One of the biggest complaints that all iPhone users have is the lack of multitasking support in the iPhone, and no, this is not a new issue, but something which has been bugging everyone for the last 3-4 years since the first iPhone released.

According to some sources for AppleInsider, Apple is finally planning to incorporate a task manager that will integrate with the established iPhone user interface in the iPhone OS 4.0.

Apple believes that multiple apps running simultaneously will run down the battery faster, or could lead to more out-of-memory errors as apps contend for resources of the iPhone. But it looks like some big changes are going to be seen in the iPhone 4.0 firmware.

iPhone 4.0 is expected to be unveiled at the WWDC 10 and also the iPhone 4G featuring a 5 megapixels camera (may flash too?), faster CPU and a new design.

Remember ODROID? Yes, the handheld gaming device powered by Android. ODROID Developer Edition recently got an Android 2.1 update which makes it running on the latest Android version up to date.

It is based on a Samsung-manufactured application processor called S5PC100 833MHz. The system-on-chip(SoC) uses the latest ARM’s Cortex-A8 with NEON multimedia accelerator.

This device has so much potential to be the next big thing in the Android world, but it looks like developers haven’t yet realized that. From the video above, everything seems to be running very smooth on the ODCROID with Android 2.1.

Some really cool new 3D games can be expected now, thanks to the new 3D features of the Android NDK announced by Google.

Google has launched a marketplace integrated within Google Apps that would allow third-party developers to sell software directly to Google business consumers.

The rumours for such an app store have been for a month now, but yesterday at the Google’s Campfire One event in Mountain View, the search engine giant announced the Google Apps Marketplace.

Few days back, we posted a video by SE officials unboxing the XPERIA X10. We had some idea that they will be introducing new interface for their new smartphones, XPERIA X10.

Sony Ericsson has designed a completely new interface called UXP or User Experience Platform. It is based on Sony Ericsson’s latest phones, XPERIA X10, X10 mini and X10 Pro, based on Android OS.

CNET reported,

CNET took an in-depth tour of UXP with George Arriola, Sony Ericsson’s head of human interface design, at the company’s lab in San Francisco. Overall, we liked what we saw. Sony Ericsson’s UXP interface is clean, easy-to-use, and attractive. We also like that it lets the basic Android framework shine through.

This can finally change things for Sony Ericsson smartphones in terms of user experience. This change may attract many SE fans who were expecting something new from Sony Ericsson Team.

They show the boxes for both colors of XPERIA X10 and also show a bit of what to expect in the box i.e the XPERIA X10, USB cable, charger, earphones, battery and documentation.

HTC Legend has been reviewed by Gizmodo, and according to them, it is not just a “HTC Hero sequel”.

Every feature and hardware specification that has received an upgrade as compared to the Hero shows what beautiful device HTC has come up with this time!

Gizmodo says the Legend is way more responsive, super fast and HTC Sense (on Android 2.1) is said to be at its best. Now this all adds up how the HTC Desire would be when it is released.

HTC Supersonic has been briefly caught on cam and boy, that 4.3 inches screen looks awesome!

Not much was shown in the video accept the HTC boot screen on the HTC Supersonic and showed the backside of the deive which had HTC Supersonic printed.

HTC Supersonic still has not been officially announced, but will soon be as the device photos have been leaking on the web for quite some time. This device will be powered by Android, and have a 4.3-inch display and WiMax (4G).

HTC Supersonic, Caught On Cam

Apple finally announced the exact date of when the iPad will be available in the US. It’s coming on Saturday, April 3 – for the WiFi models. WiFi + 3G models will be available later in April.

For the countries other than US, i.e Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK, iPad will be available there in late April.

Apple is taking pre-orders for the iPad, starting from March 12, for the US. WiFi and WiFi + 3G models will have to be ordered online through the Apple Online Store. Or you can get an iPad (WiFi model) reserved to pick up on April 3.
