It's not uncommon to see snowboarders pulling handplants at the top of the halfpipe but you don't see skiers doing handplants nearly as often.

With summer winding down it's time to start thinking about hitting the slopes but most of will wait until there's some snow. Not Eric Lon however - he's determined to be the first to hit the slopes - even if it means skiing down bare rocks deep in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. Who knew skiiers has such a crazy edge to them?!

A cool ski jump picture that was captured just right with the sun blazing in the background. I'm going to have to read up and figure out what some of these tricks are called. I never got past back scratchers and the occasional daffy. At least that's what we called them when I was younger.
