These are our favorite products to help you get the skin of your dreams.

Getting 8 hours of rest is one key to healthy and glowing skin, but before you tuck yourself in, don’t forget your nighttime skincare routine. A nighttime skincare routine allows you to wash away environmental stressors, dirt and oil from the day and replace it with key ingredients that promote healthy skin. Following these steps will ensure your skin receives the nourishment it needs.

Step One: Face Cleanser

If you want to make sure your skin is properly cleansed, double cleansing is essential. Double cleansing allows you to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen, dirt and excess oil on your skin from the day.

Depending on your skin type, follow up with a water or cream based cleanser like the Mimosa Cleanser or High Maintenance Cleanser to rehydrate skin and rebalance skin.

A properly cleansed face allows your skin to absorb the additional ingredients in your skincare routine.

Step Two: Face Toner

A facial toner rebalances your skin’s pH level and removes any impurities left after cleansing. The Honey Water Toner featuring skin loving Niacinamide, Honey and Sea Kelp to hydrate and lock in moisture and soothe your skin. The Sparkling Water Hydration Liquid featuring hyaluronic acid and snow mushroom hydrates even the driest of skin leaving it plump and dewy.

With the sweep of a cotton pad your skin will be hydrated.

Step Three: Face Masks/Exfoliators

We like to alternate between a face mask and a face exfoliator. The main purpose of a face mask is to target specific skin concerns. Face masks can help hydrate skin, remove excess oils and help improve the appearance of pores.

For exfoliators, we prefer chemical exfoliants like The Merlot Liquid perfect for acne and oily skin types, this liquid uses the power of salicylic acid to unclog and refine the look of pores. The Skin Cream Exfoliant is perfect for all skin types. This rich and creamy exfoliating mask uses glycolic and lactic acid to remove dead skin cells and reveal healthy while African shea nilotica butter, the finest grade of shea butter nourishes the newly revealed skin, keeping it supple.

When used 2-3 times per week your skin is left smooth and brighter.

Step Four: Face Serums

Serums come in a variety of forms and help treat many skin concerns The Skin Cream Concentrate Face Serum helps to ease inflammation and dry skin by imparting essential fatty acids necessary for a healthy glow into the skin. The Mimosa Concentrate Face Serum removes stubborn dark spots and dehydration with the use of powerhouse Vitamin C rich ingredients such as Jack Fruit, Kakadu C Plum, Ascorbic Acid and Alpha-Arbutin. The Prosecco Concentrate Face Serum helps keep acne at bay with the use of Niacinamide and Zinc PCA which promote a healthy complexion.

Step Five: Face Moisturizer

No matter your skin type, the correct moisturizer is essential to completing your nighttime skincare routine. The perfect moisturizer helps to keep your moisture barrier strong. The Sparkling Water Cream is an oil free moisturizer suitable for all skin types.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR DARK SPOTS [HYPERPIGMENTATION]

Over-the-counter fade creams and dark spot erasers can often be expensive and harsh on the skin.

Prescription and over-the-counter creams formulated to address hyperpigmentation aka dark spots are harsh enough to cause skin sensitivity. So we’ve compiled a list of alternatives that are not only inexpensive but all-natural.

Before we begin, we always recommend that you perform a patch test for sensitivity before applying any new products to your skin.

Stimulate cell turnover with fruits

Exfoliation is an important step in the evening of your skin tone.

Apple, Papaya and Pineapples are amazing fruit acids known as alpha-hydroxy acids. These acids remove the top layers of the skin through weakening the lipids that bond them together, thus removing dull and dead skin cells and revealing healthy skin cells. This is a gentle way to chemically exfoliate your skin

To treat your dark spots with apple, papaya or pineapple, simply mash the fruit in a bowl, make sure the papaya is ripe and apple and pineapples are peeled. Apply as a mask to clean skin for 2-5 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

Tumeric

Organic turmeric powder is a superstar ingredient for evening skin tone.

To fade dark spots with turmeric, make a mask using 1 part turmeric to 1 part honey.

Yogurt

Yogurt, another AHA works to fade dark spots using lactic acid. Like the chemically exfoliating properties found in fruit, the lactic acid found in yogurt breaks down dead skin cells.

Mix 1 tbsp of ground oats with 2 tbsp of plain yogurt and apply this mixture onto your face for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

Spinach

Spinach is a powerhouse of nutrients. It contains Vitamin K, A, C, B1, B2, B6, Manganese, Folate, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Protein, Phosphorous, Zinc, Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Spinach also contains beta-carotene, which has antioxidant properties that help in repairing the damaged skin.

Blend 4 medium-sized spinach leaves, mix in 1 tablespoon honey, 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Apply the mask on dry skin. Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

DIY NOT FOR YOU?

A DIY routine isn’t for everyone, as they can allow room for error. If a homemade mask and exfoliant aren’t for you, Skin Champagne offers a number of products designed with the same quality ingredients that last for more than a day or two.

Mimosa Cleanser

Mimosa Mask

Mimosa Serum

Which of these natural remedies would you try? Do you have your own remedy to share? Tell us in the comments!
