Got a sore throat? Feeling a bit under the weather? Margaux Jean, B.S., N.T.P., shows us how to make a delicious and nutritious smoothie! It is full of immune-boosting vitamin E and manganese. It’s also a good source of vitamin A, B6, C, and zinc. Honey has antimicrobial properties which is why it is the perfect food for soothing a sore throat. It can also kill certain bacteria that may be causing the infection. The almonds and flax seed oil give this smoothie a nice boost of “good fats” to help your heart, skin, hair, and brain stay healthy. The banana is a good source of potassium and dietary fiber. Give this smoothie a try today!

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, But I am a HUGE Lady Gaga fan. I love her sense of style, I love her music. I love what she stands for and what she represents. What she wants to change. But the biggest reason I love her is, that she is so her. She is so true to who she is. And I think it’s brilliant.

Most “stylist’s” would tell me not to wear nude around the biggest part of my body, they would tell me to wear black and not draw attention to it. But I’m doing it anyway and it looks amazing. I feel amazing. I love this skirt/dress from SUPRE’, I’ve never owned a nude skirt before, but I’ve been really feeling lighter colours lately. So I was super excited for this, it also doubles as a dress and looks really fabulous both ways. It’s a very peachy nude, which is great for my skin tone, its not too pale at all! It retails for $35.00, if your near a SUPRE’ I suggest getting into store quick snap, I grabbed the last XL’s from my local store.

I picked it up in this nude shade, bright cobalt blue and classic black. I think the nude and black are the most versatile colours, but the blue is a really beautiful shade for Summer, and even winter with some black tights underneath.

Also how amazing are these massive, twirly hoop earrings from Diva? I’ve never been into “gold” coloured jewellery, but I think since re-watching a few Sex and The City eps, and seeing how Carrie rocks the gold bling bling, I kinda fell in love when I saw these. But they really are massive in size, luckily they are light weight.

So remember that you are beautiful, dress how ever you like, love yourself and you never have to worry about a thing, because if you follow those rules everything else falls into place. Since I started blogging the biggest rule I’ve learned is to not worry about the people who have something bad to say about you, that usually means your doing something right. <3

Sexy is an attitude that we develop when we learn to let go of our inhibitions. One of the best times to play with our confidence, push those boundaries and discover the beauty that lies within and outside of us is Valentine’s Day. It is when we should learn to love others but not before we learn to love ourselves more. So I urge every woman out there to find your inner sexy goddess and discover your curves. I had a blast shooting this sexy lingerie shoot for my modeling portfolio and I wore exclusively Lane Bryant Lingerie and bracelets (accessories) from Curvaceous Boutique.

By Bonnielee Cuevas www.bonnieleecuevas.com and www.pinkcouturelife.com

Plus Model, Makeup Artist, Fashion Stylist, Wellness Expert, Writer and Speaker. Empowering women to live their best life in beautiful, healthy and fashionable way.

So if you’re friends with me on Facebook your already aware of this amazing shoes I bought (when I say “I”, I mean my nan ) from Solestruck. They are by Jeffrey Campbell and called the “Audrey Twos”. Safe to say, I adore them. They were a Christmas present from my Grandmother, but I forgot to take a photo of them to put in my Christmas Message post, They arrived just before Christmas Eve, almost as if Santa brought them early on his sleigh!

I’ve never really been into pointed toe shoes, in fact I usually hate them. But when I saw these I thought wow, amazing. And then I saw an “on the foot” photo on Nasty Gal and I knew I have to have these! And the look amaze on! I love the way they make my feet look! And I am very much into pointed toe shoes now, I adore them! I have been converted, AMEN!

Even though I’m wearing all black and my leather skirt, I still wanted the shoes to stand out. And I think because of their beige colour against the black they really do pop a little.

They also make me insanely tall, but I really don’t care. I really, really don’t care because these shoes make me feel insanely sexy. Even if no one else thinks so, I feel that way!

And if you couldn’t tell, I missed my fringe a little tooooo much. Christmas morning I was cutting it back in! I don’t think Paul (my hair dresser) is going to be at all surprised

Until Next Time xox <3

Wait, did you say nutrition? I thought this was a plus fashion magazine?

Yes, we did! There’s NOTHING worse than people thinking plus girls don’t care about nutrition or fitness! And, at Skorch, we want to bring you more content that think you’re going to love (including more fitness! shhhhh). There are many things that can help you live confidently, and fashion is one, nutrition is another. And, being that Margaux is a fashion & nutrition girl, we are excited to have her apart of the team. She’s a long time friend of mine in the Portland Fashion scene and an advocate for women to feel their best at any size. She has lived the life of a plus size woman and I believe has some great nutrition tips we can all benefit from. Please take a minute to watch her intro video to learn more about why Margaux has partnered with Skorch.

UK based label Anna Scholz has been a favorite of mine for years. I’m a huge fan of prints and color but the combination of Anna Scholz’s luxury and ability to create unexpected pieces for curvy women are what set the brand apart. I had a chat with the one and only Anna Scholz about her spring 2012 collection and here’s what she had to say: Click to read interview and view all the images >>

Q. For those who’ve been living under a rock, tell me a little bit about the Anna Scholz brand and where you are sold
The Anna Scholz label in sizes 8-24US has been established in 1996. Our label is famous for celebrating and flattering curves with an emphasis on strong prints and sexy silhouettes.
We now carry a white label, black label and our diffusion collection for Simply Be. We sell to a variety of department stores ( Saks.com andBloomingdales.com from February 2012 ) and boutiques all over Europe and the US. For more information of your nearest stockist please visithttp://www.annascholz.com/customer-service/stockists

Q. You have a White Label and a Black Label, what’s the difference between the two?
White Label is the original annascholz collection and is luxurious , sophisticated and uses only high end fabrics like silk, cashmere, hand embroideries and digital printing.
Black label is the little sister collection which is younger, funkier, hemlines are a little shorter , silhouettes quirkier and the label is more purse friendly and therefore accessible to a wider audience.

Q. The Black Label spring/summer 2012 is called Hippie Chick, where did that inspiration come from?
I have always been a little hippie chick at heart and love nothing more than summery days in maxi dresses, sandals, fringe bags and long tousled hair. My prints are very retro-inspired too and I rummage through many flea-markets wherever I travel.
Camber Sands ( where we also shot the campaign) is one of my favourite locations in the UK where I often escape to clear my head and design new collections, so the beachy hippie chick collection seemed like a natural progression. Although I am positive that the collection will work for city life just as well.

Q. The White Label spring/summer 2012 is called Colour Voyage. You always use bold color and prints. Is that a nod to your personality?
I have always loved colour and print and that is actually my favourite part of creating a collection..when I start on my colour palettes and choose and design my first prints. I feel my signature as a designer is definitely a strong bold print look.
I loved the spicy hot colours of Morocco where we also shot the campaign this season and I think our prints work beautifully with the pink city Marrakech.

Q. So many plus women are looking to hid and are always draped in muted colors what would you say to someone who likes bold prints but is afraid to be noticed?
I believe when you are big you are more likely to be noticed anyway , so you might as well make a bold strong statement. I definitely have black days in my wardrobe too but I still want to carry those off with a certain pasazz as well.
I hate that draped layered hiding look and don’t think it does anything for anyones shape. You can wear a loose big top, but will have to combine it with a fitted bottom to carry it off and vice versa.

Q. We’ve met before and you’re an easy to smile, fun, confident woman, has it always been that way for you? Did confidence come naturally or is it something you work at?
I have to say that I was born with a healthy amount of confidence, and because I always held my head up high ( also being 6ft1) I got much positive feedback.
Of course there were times were I struggled with my weight or my parents were nagging me as a teenager, but I feel that I turned my size into something hugely positive and my whole business grew out of the struggle to find the right clothes to suit my personality and shape.
Especially when I used to be a plus size model myself, I realized that I didn’t want to wear the layered shapeless grandma sacks I was offered 20 years ago and there was nothing like my collection in the market.
I believe you have to look after yourself and should be prepared to analyze and better yourself throughout your life.
When I didn’t feel fit and healthy anymore last year I started in the gym with a personal trainer which has given me loads more energy and confidence in return.

Q. Anna Scholz is certainly a luxury brand, do you find it difficult to operate in a category where women are in a constant state of looking to lose weight and thus not investing in quality pieces?
Yes this is a constant struggle , and it sometimes really annoys me that especially people in the industry wear cheap crap to cool events.
It is important to look and feel great right now ! and you can always take a few dresses in once you changed your size.
I also understand that not everyone can dish out $400 for a dress, but it is important to support the labels you like otherwise they don’t stay in business. Thankfully we have a great following of customers who love our collections and invest into some really cool fashion pieces.

Q. What would you like to see happen in the plus size industry over the next few years?
I think we are heading in the right direction with more plus size models being featured in the mainstream media, all the recent coverage has been such a breath of fresh air. Now it would be nice if they could photograph the girls in clothes and not always naked.
I would love to see another plus magazine make it into print, see more modern plus fashion boutiques open their doors, the return of the high end plus department in Harrods and our own fashion show at London Fashion Week, have my own diffusion collection with Target, collaborate with a lingerie and shoe brand….
Oh dear didn’t realize I wanted that much…

I’m so in love with the spring 2012 black label, I literally felt a little faint looking at the incredible images that Anna sent over!
www.annascholz.com – There’s currently an AMAZING sale going on. A great time to invest in pieces that will last a lifetime.
