Of Baguio (part II)

Summer is coming. The atmosphere is getting oppressive but that doesn’t affect me to look back at the memories that we had with my friends in the cold city of Baguio. Yes, I was serious at my previous post (Of Baguio) na magkakaroon ito ng Part 2 and this is the continuation.

After we took a rest and charged our cell phones and cameras in our Inn, we decided to amble again along the coldness of the street. This time, we were no longer just four but seven (my lucky number, lols). We met Asiong, an anonymous blogger who is undoubtedly very nice guy, and two other bloggers (nakalimutan ko names nila hahaha. taga GMA talents kasi ata)

Guys on the hood- a must try

Two thumbs up for 50's Dinner. Great food and inexpensive. The resto was full that time but we didn't mind waiting outside because it's worth the wait. I ordered Guys on the hood for 135 pesos which is a combination of pork chop, fried chicken, garlic bread, spaghetti, mixed vegies, french fries and sliced pizza. Sorop sorop at sa dami nito muntik ko di na ubos.

Teacher's Camp and Laperal House

Since we were all brave that time except Hustin who went back at the Inn after we took our dinner (heheh may Online Exam siya), pumunta kami sa famous hunted house in Baguio- the Teacher's Camp and Laperal House. It didn't creep me out but you should have seen the face of Arvin. Sobra siyang takot. Ilang beses din siya nag yaya umuwi but according sa isang naming kasama that night............. may nakita daw siya (aawhoOoo) pero ako wala talaga eh kahit ilang beses ako tumanaw sa loob.

Burnham Park

Since walang multo that night sa mga hunted houses, we decided to go in Burnham Park which is located at the heart of Baguio. It is actually a man-made lake where there are different facilities and recreational activities that you can do like boating, biking or just leisurely stroll around the area like we did.

2nd Day

It's another cool day for every one, I don't wanna think that our second day was bad day even though there's something happened. what was it? ( secret)

Wright Park

With all our bags and pasalubongs we bought yesterday, we carried it all leaving our Inn going to our first destination, the Wright park. The place is not just full of pines but also full of ponies. The main attraction in this area is the shallow rectangular body of water called the Pool of Pines

Because of the breathtaking panoramic view of the place plus the market that gives cheap pasalubong, Mines View park is also one of the most visited park.

Of Baguio

Yes, after 48 decades and almost forgotten, I am here narrating my Baguio trip with my blogger friends last December. This is totally "A throwback moment" and I hope I can still remember everything. But Oops! before I go further about our adventure, let me tell you that It's my first time to see the Summer Capital of the Country even though I'm from the north. Yes! Perstym ko here and this is my footprints.

And As I've said, I was with other Blogger buddies: Arvin of Château de Archieviner, June of Life and Spices and Hustin

At last, After all the stolen sleep in our eight hours trip from Victory liner bus, Pasay at "malayo pa ba?" quetion ko, we arrived in the cold city and checked in at Upstairs Beds and Baths inn na may motto na “Where beds are pleasing while baths are distressing”

SoO true. Maganda ang hotel because of its rooms and its vehicle accessibility pero na kaka turn of ang mga comfort rooms. May topak ang mga heater at sira ang mga flush ng toilet bowls kaya it’s so disappointing (arte lang).

It was Sunday kaya nag simba muna kami to thank God for His grace and provisions. Arvin and I attended our Sunday service at Victory church while Hustin and June prayed at Baguio Cathedral then after the service that we took our brunch at Lucia’s restaurant.

After we fed up our stomachs, we're ready to hit the road. First Destination?

Strawberry Farm

When we arrived at the place, ang saya lang kasi sinnalubong kami nga mga Ice cream Vendors with a spiel na "Sir bili na kayo ng strawberry Ice cream, pag Instant-gram este instagram" oh diba patok si kuya mag benta. Strawberry Farm is located at La Trinidad Benguet known also for their broccoli and lettuce veggies

After we bought pasalubongs at La Trinidad. We went back to Baguio and headed at the major recreational attraction of the city- The Camp John Hay

At dahil gutom kami when we arrived, kain muna and tried the best pizza in Volante.

We are not promoting CAP. Gusto lang namin talaga umupo. hehehe

If your a person who loves quiet and relaxing place while staying at Baguio CJH might be the right place to you. This is what I observed as we strolled around the place. It is refreshing. and do you know what make me love the place? It's the pine trees. CJH is everyone's favorite because there are really a lot to do and see. There are Tree Top Adventure, Zip lining, rappelling, stores and resto. And even though there are establishments in the place, the government still preserved its historical value like the Museums, Bell Amphitheater and butterfly Sanctuary

Before we finally leave the CJH, they said that Baguio won't be completed if you didn't taste the bittersweet tsokolate made from local cacao bean. And I think that's the reason why June brought us in Choc-Late de Batirol pero honestly siya lang ang nag kape. damot lang di nag offer. Batirol is located at the small nook hidden among the trees.

Igorot Stairs

After our CJH, we decided to go back at our inn to take a rest but since Upstairs Beds and Baths is just beside Igorot Stairs we agreed to take photos there. Statues are all made from woods that have been painted and varnishes and they are all depicted from the Igorot tribes.

Bumaba si Victor sa kanyang sasakyan.

Tahimik. Tila hindi ito nasa Cubao. Tumingin siya sa kanyang relo, 2:53am.

Ano nga ba ang ginagawa niya sa lugar na ito? Kilala ko si Victor at ni minsan di siya na padpad sa lugar ng Cubao sa dis oras ng gabi. Ah! Alam ko na. Gusto niyang takasaan ang kanyang problem. Pagod na ito sa paulit-ulit na pag iisip sa mga taong nag pa-asa lang sa kanya. Para siyang ginamit at higit sa lahat nawalan pa ito ng trabaho. Gusto niyang makalimot kahit sandali lang.

Pinadpad ng aking kaibigan ang lugar. Maya-maya'y unti-unti na niyang naririnig ang mga tugtugan sa mga bar. Hindi ito huminto. Alam niya kung saan siya pupunta. Nagpatuloy siyang naglakad at wala itong paki alam kung masikip, madumi at madilim ang kanyang dinaraanan hanggang may humarang sa kayang harapan.

Napatingin si Victor sa kanya. Maganda. Bata. At kung tutuusin ay hindi lang kape ang katumbas nang mapupula nitong labi.

Dahan-dahang tinangal ni Victor ang kamay ng babae sa kanyang braso. Gumiti. Patuloy siyang naglakad at ‘di na muli lumingon.

Kina umagahan,

Gumising si Victor sa mali na namang kwarto. Sinulyapan siya ang kanyang katabi. Tulog.

Bigla nitong naisip ang babae kagabi.

Walang panghuhusga ngunit nag iwan ito ng malaking tanong.

Thanking God for everything, even in adversity

It is important to thank God for everything even in your most unfortunate of situations or time. All things had the potential of becoming a blessing for everyone. All things are created with the original purpose of glorifying His Holy name. So whatever it is that life throws at you is something that you must be thankful about.

You must count your blessings. Doing so will give you a psychological boost which attracts positive energies that can impact upon your overall health. Spend a little portion of your time each day remembering the things you would be grateful for.

You have to give thanks to the Lord because He has instructed you to do it. In the book of 1st Chronicles chapter 16 verse 8, it said: “Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name and make known His deeds among the people.”

Giving thanks is one way to help you see more blessings. The world is never run out of beautiful things, things that you often ignore because they may seem so small or ordinary. If you try to look and feel around you, you’ll be surprised to find about the lots of things that are making you rich: Azure sky, rustle of the leaves, flowers in the garden, the air that you breathe, beautiful sunset, song of the birds, and so on and so forth.

You have to thank God because ingratitude may be the prelude to your complaining. If you will try to recall the Israelites in the days of Moses when God set them free from bondage in Egypt, where God has performed many wonderful things before them while they were wandering in the desert, and yet they complained to the Lord. But they were complaining because they cannot appreciate the works of God in their favor. Their ingratitude paved the way for their asking for more.

To thank God is to appreciate the good things that are at work in you. To thank God is to breed more blessings. "And for those who love God all things work together for good," to quote from the book of Romans 8:28 in the Holy Bible, "for those who are called according to his purpose."

Wala ako gaano maalala na very significant event these months bukod sa walang katapusang opening spiel na “ Thank you for calling Xfinity Signiture Support”.

April-

First time ko sumama sa PBO for their outreach in Bahay ni Maria. masaya. I met a lot of nice bloggers. Sana one day pag okay na lahat. makasama ulit ako.

May-

Birthday ko at dahil malayo ako sa aking relatives, friends and family members ay greetings with matching photos of cakes, balloon and candies na mula sa google images ang natanggap ko via Facebook. Very thoughtful right? Pero salamat. I love you. Nways, I really celebrated my birthday with my call center agent friends and I treated myself a trip sa Puerto Gallera

June-

A blessing after a long month birthday celebration. Lols. Nag offer sakin ang Makati para magturo. Di ko natangihan at dahil dito naging dalawa ang work ko for almost a month. “Thank you for calling Xfinity Signature Support- Comcast” ang spiel ko pag gabi at “Good morning, Class” pag umaga. Di ko kinaya. Umalis ako sa call center and naging full-time teacher ako.

July-

Bukod sa pag tuturo, wala akong gaanong moment. Na kay Napoles lahat ang Spot light. Kainis. Pero sa mga buwan din na ito nawala ang laptop ko. Salarin: si Janet Lim Napoles. lols

August-

One very special person finally went home. Heaven took a very kind and gentle man, my grandfather. Bigla ako nangulila while writing this but I know am still blessed for God allowed me to experience a life having a noble and compassionate lolo.

September-October

Very busy sa paper works kahit love life wala!!!!( bitter). lels

November-

Chalks and lesson plan parin ang hawak ko siyempre. Pero aside from teaching, we conducted the BSP in our school as part our annual activities. First time ko’ng maging Scout Leader. Kapagod pero very relieving ang mga smiles ng mga bata.

December-

It’s Christmas. Syempre walang katapusang party party at reunion with family and relatives here in Isabela. Pero bago pa man mag Christmas Vacation ay bakasyon grande na ako with other blogger friends in City of Pines which was totally a great adventure, saya lang.

2013 is indeed a great year to remember and I always thank the Lord for the gift of life.

Of CHANGES

As you can see, there are changes happened in this site (from my URL, layout and my followers). As much as I loved my minted black template, I felt like it was enough of dark color for me. Goodbye my old one and you’ll never be forgotten.

I really needed “change” and hopefully this new layout helps me think more positively.

I want to write more and tell stories but this past months I have this hesitations because I have many things to consider. I have to practice self-control, keenly edit and delete specifics, and hold my emotions. And because of these restraints, I have this irregular post and updates. I am sorry. I knew what I wanted to say but I don’t know how.

And to you, my dear readers, thank you for always being here every time I want to spill out my soul and clear-up my head. Your comments make me feel better. I owe you a hug.

Alas dose ng gabi.

Naalimpungatan ako sa katahimikan. Biglang nabuhay ang aking diwa. Ilang minuto 'ding patuloy kong nilalaro ang aking paningin sa madilim na kisame hanggang na isipan kong bumangon at sumilip sa bintana. Tahinik. Natahimik ako sa mga sinabi niya. I really didn't know how to react that time peo I realized na he's not actually soliciting any advice from me. Gusto niya lang mag labas ng kanyang saloobin. Ngunit dahil pabida ako ay nag bigay parin ako ng short but sweet piece mula sa kaibuturan ng aking puso.

Mag aalasdos na noon. Sabay kaming tumayo at parehas na naglabas ng cell phone. Gusto ko sanang kunin ang kanyang numero at pangalan pero tila naging sapat na sa amin na kami ay naging istranghero lang isang madilim na gabi.

Umalis ako sa lugar, naglakad pabalik sa aking tinitirhan ngunit tila may naiwang tanong sa aking isipan.

Having a rational attributes, human has the power to picture the possible consequences of his actions and probable result of his decisions. In the same way, he has also the capability to hear and follow his core.

In our journey, however, there are tricky points in our lives that we could hardly follow our Center simply because it is not in accord to what other people want us to be. At times, It's too ironic that the reflections of our thoughts are not in the conformity of what's inside our heart. Life as what they say is simple but the environment itself makes it complicated because of its norms. And because of that measure, we limit ourselves and wave our decisions especially if we're not too confident with its potential result. That instance leads us toward internal self struggle. A battle that brings pressure to what we should consider.

Of Puerto GALERA

It's post summer season but yeah this doesn't stop us to raid and dig our summer wear and sunblock and jump into the white beach of Mindoro ( langoy, langoy, langoy na parang shokoy). Okay, I'm not a travel blogger but I just want to share my pretty awesome experience in the island.

This getaway was originally planned by our team but I ended up going not with my teamates but instead with those agents who supposed to be "sabit" only in our ally. nag backed-out sila eh, di kami nalang.

looking at the photo we are still ragged with our office clothes because we boarded on JAM bus in Buendia directly after our shift. We arrived at Batangas Pier terminal around 01:30pm but we departed the place around 3:00pm because 3 of our colleagues were late.

Ang Ayrte- Ayrte kasi ng GF ng office mate ko.

When the boat docked, picture picture agad. It was drizzling that time but the weather did not stop the tourists to enjoy every splash of wave in the beach. At night, I wondered because girls were wearing make ups, Whaattt? make up before swimming. okay na OA. kayo na ang ARYANA. hehehe

here's our first babad. the water was perfect. though we had drowsy eyes, all of our stress were washed out because of the reviving temperature of the sea. we had also great time laughing with stand-up comedians in the bars and drop-jaw with professional fire dancers

This is a human-made tamaraw falls. It is actually 47 kilometers from the white beach. It is very ordinary in sight and located just beside the highway but what makes this different from other falls is its the unparalled floor. Sinubukan kong sisirin ang pinaka ilalim but I failed hindi ko kaya ung pressure.

The Virgin Island.

I asked kuya trisi driver why they called it virgin Island sabi niya di niya alam. okiy.

When we arrived at the place I saw a groto of Virgin Marry on a huge rock. ahuh so that's the reason, virgin Island because it has a virgin Marry statue I said. Mali pala kasi when I stepped into the sea floors 3 meters from the shore ang dami palang buhay na coral reefs doon kaya they called it virgin Island. The place is full of stones kaya hirap maglakad my friends kept on asking why it is not sand Island. I kept my mouth shut but I know the reason why , the water is too calm and there were just minimal waves in the sea therefore scientifically the stones have small chance to be weathered. ( Kuya kim lang ang Peg diba)

True Story: Jhun's DOODLE

Last weekend as I sat on a three-day seminar in our church, I had one of those life-changing experiences that you hear other people talk about — the kind of experience that sneaks you up unexpectedly. This was the moment my eyes nailed to one of the male delegates in our row.

He is Jhune. I learned it through the ID pinned in his shirt. He had nothing special though. He wore ordinary clothes, got dark color and had his obvious straggly hair but what really caught my attention to this person was his Doodle. An adult doodling inside the church? It's aberrant.

While I was staring at him I noticed that his hand suddenly stopped from stroking. I was caught starring to a stranger.

"Hi" I smiled as my immediate excuse to my rudeness.

"I heard na Ilokano ka, taga san ka pala?" I asked which I thought a great topic to start a conversation but he just nodded, bowed his head and resumed his doodle. Maybe he's not interested for a talk I thought

"Taga Cagayan Valley ako" a voice sounded out besides me after a couple seconds. It was him.

"Talaga, taga Isabela ako" I smiled "kailan ka pa umalis doon?" I added but he offered no immediate response for the second time. I was displeased with the situation, loss of face. And to manage my guilt I simply diverted my attention to my notes and swore not to talk to him again but my plans repeled when he reponded.

"Lumayas ako when I was 17. The night pagkatapos akong buhusan ng kumukulong tubig ng tatay ko" that soft husky voice striked deep within my soul. I looked at him and felt sorry about what I heard.

"Oh sorry, pero un na un diba, wala ng iba." I said trying to convice myself

After saying those words, he looked at me and smiled maybe because of my silly reaction. I could hardly put in words in what I saw. He smiled yet there was a perceptable somber in his eyes.

"Pina ampon ako when I was 7, pero bumalik ako sa kanila para maramdaman ko kung saan ako nang galing pero worst binubog lang ako, sinaktan. During my birthday when I was Grade 6 tinulak ako sa ilog ng tatay ko.... But in God's grace buti nalang marunong na akong lumangoy that time" he grinned narrating his victory.

"Minsan nga" he added "sabi ng nanay ko sana namatay nalang daw ako noon. kaya tinanong ko sila kung ampon lang ba ako pero imposible kasi may kakambal ako, and I keep asking myself at times "bakit ako ang pinag bubuntungan ng galit nila kahit kasalanan ng iba?... parang sumpa ung tingin nila sa akin" he seriously said.

My world suddenly froze by his words, tongue-tied. I was totally stunned especially when he told me about the moment he was being wrapt inside the rice sack and disdainfully beaten by his father. I did not expect the story nor the trust he gave me in our 15-minute conversation. I asked if he already shared forgiveness to his parent and he just simply said "yes" and seconded that all he'd been through were just part of the history.

I felt undaunted and thrilled. After all the odds and ordeals he faced from his own parents, he never learnt vengeance and fought back to those people who made his life miserable. Indeed he hold no hatred towards our Creator and he is so eager to learn the good news of His words. He even told me about the elation he is getting from his friends, in attenting to church and how he is being adored by his boss through his job.

Joes, This might be a very ordinary conversation which started in a doodle but I believe this is a story that must be shared for everyone and keep it as chance to have a better people around us.

For me, Jhune' soul is like a doodle- It is a simple drawing yet it has concrete representational meaning---FORGIVING.

A couple going on vacation but his wife was on a business trip so he went to the destination first and his wife would meet him the next day.

When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email.

Unfortunately, when typing her address, he mistyped a letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.

When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.

At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

Dearest Wife,
Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

P.S. Sure is hot down here.

WIFE with Skates

3 men died and went up to heaven. The guy at the gate said “The better you were to your wife, the better kind of car you’ll get.”

The first guy was very loyal to his wife and got a Ferrari. The second man fought with his wife so he got a broken down car. The last guy cheated on his wife dozens of times so he got a scooter.

One day the guy on the scooter saw the guy in the Ferrari crying. He asked him, “Why are you crying?”

He answered, “I just saw my wife on roller skates.”

My Wife had a dream

There was a couple sleeping. The wife had a bad dream, she woke up scared and cried.

Her husband comforted her and asked why she cried, she replied: “I had a dream that a very rich and handsome man kidnapped me from you.”

Husband: “It is ok honey, it was just a dream.”

Wife responded loudly: “That is why I’m crying.”

My Remorse and Rejoice To Thee

Lord, I remorse
for my heart within has disillusions;
Ashamed because to You I can't conceal my true color

Short Story about this Poem

I had my first draft that tackles about my insecurities, hatreds and hostilities of life but I immediately deleted it when I attended a mass in Word for the World Church where all of the attendees are shouting with joy, raising their hands to God and singing with bliss on their faces. That time I felt certain sense of guilt knowing that I am very lucky and blessed.

Yeh It's not a winning poem but let's rejoice and ask no more questions because we are not deaf when Jesus shouted "It is Done" on His cross.

Jei's LOVE Analogy

I am not brave, I'm no Superman, I am just a coward bird.

It's been years since I felt affection in my heart. Time when I let myself in in a cage of love. The immeasurable happiness made me stay being trapped in this florid cell. It's because you. I am here because you my mate.

But like the rainbow in the sky, the feeling gradually grew faint and disappear. Now I'm alone and the dark clouds are getting befriend with the sky. You left me crying. Abandoned with no clear reason. I wanna sing to lessen the pain but how would I open my mouth if every note in the song is a representation of my sorrow? so tell me my mate, tell me.

I guess my left wing is a bit okay now, - quite recovered from a great fall when you left me but I keep on asking why, Why I'm still afraid to fly?

Other birds are waiting for me to take my flight. Encouraging me to take another try.

But how could I spread my wings if I already forget how to fly?

Dear Pa,

Many people keep on saying that every time they look at my face, I am your duplicate of my generation. -"Ang gwapo mo pala nung binata ka, san kaba nag mana?" hehehe. However, I still consider it as ironic because even though we share almost the same face in different time, we know that we've got only chunk of similarities because of our differences. Coffee is the least example- you love black, I like white.

Pa, I know when I was a kid you were expecting too much from me and there is a life that you want me to live with in my future but gone were the days and I chose to follow my dream and not the person you want me to become, my apologies I am such a prodigal son. But in lieu with your expectation, I am doing my best in my chosen career and I am happy with it.

Seven days from now your age value will again increase hehe and it seems like yesterday when you were teaching us taekwondo together with my cousins. The time you let me run on the field to check if the kite we did was working right, such wonderful summer days. But I also remember those days we were being forced to do some errands which we actually didn't like, times you shouted us every time we mess up, but I still thank you because all of those things and your being disciplinarian have big impact to what kind of person I am now.

God has been very kind to us and I bow my head to Him for the second life He gave to you. I remember the day you were being sent in the hospital because of motor accident, I don't know what to do that time, the doctor says if you did not arrive an hour earlier your condition could be worse and I am very lucky that your lasingerong friends still help you. Pa, maybe you don't know this but during the time I was looking at you sleeping in the hospital- still unconscious from the accident, I laid my finger on your palm and you held it tight. There was a connection between us, tears flowed in my eyes and I said my prayers. That time, I realized that even we have unsymmetrical likes, you have authoritative personality and strong principles, I am still your son and you're my father. I love you.

I live independently now, I generate my own money and I make my own decisions but I want you to know that I still live with your wisdom, the lesson of being a responsible person and not being a liability to someone. I will keep those piled lessons Pa, though quite sometimes, I need also to break some rules for a reason of satisfaction (bad) but don't you worry I am not worst. hehehe

Now that you've totally recovered, I still wish you to have a good health and happy life. Happy Birthday.

Second OPTION

Most of the times, we always seek for the best. One that will satisfy mostly on the standard of our wants and not into our needs. Maybe it's a human nature that when we choose something or someone, we always make sure that we take the best and if it doesn't work- we take the second option.

Just this lazy Saturday afternoon, I went to the kitchen to find some thing to eat but since I've just eaten my lunch, I looked at the available fruits on the fridge's door where oranges and an apple nestled. At sight, my saliva ran on my tongue while thinking about the sweet pulp of oranges until my hand grabbed one fruit below -the apple.

While I was comfortably sitting on my couch, I looked at the apple on my hand thinking

"why I chose it despite that it was my second option?"

and an idea popped up in my head.

Commonly, second option is always taken for granted when someone claims that he has a better fish to fry, a person who could actually supplement the things what the second option doesn't have.

Admit it or not, I still believe that many of us give the first chair to the person who is pleasing and good-looking in our eyes and we just give a so-so attention to the second one. It might not be our intention to be prejudice but we are honestly doing it. We are clouded by our norms of fancy without thinking that there is also someone out there waiting to prove him\herself to us- a person who has unique and better personality than the first option. I am not saying that after I write this entry, I will be fair to all the people around me, I just realized that we should not only see the beauty of our second option after we messed-up with our first one.

Siya si Jillian, ang bestfren kong babae, sobrang saya ko when she came to mylife because I really long to have a girl friend like her. She trusts me with her secrets and vise versa. Marami kaming pag kakatulad- magbasa ng books, manuod ng movies at mag sulat. Actually, mayroon nga siyang na published PHR story ang "I Love You number Eight" at sa sobrang saya at supportive ko ay di pa ako bumibili ng libro niya (lakas ng tama no. busy eh). Ok lang yan, panoorin ko nalang sa TV ang teleserye adaptation niya. Diba Jill?

Bakit nga ba ako tinatamad mag sulat????

1. Pag nag susulat ako, sabay edit na kasi (mali daw un kasi mawawala ung flow ng idea mo) peo ganun ako eh kaya minsan sa kaka edit at kababasa. Iyon naboboringan na ako.

2. Tatlong stories ang gusto kong isulat ( Fantasy novel, Family Short story, at Suspense Novel) dami no??? Sino nga ba di tatamarin??? at diyan kami nag kakatalo ni bestpren kasi more on love story siya.

3. Busy din ako kababasa ng Hunger Games ni Suzzane Collins at di ko pa natatapos ang Girl With a Dragon Tattoo ni Stieg Larsson at nasimulan ko na naman ang Angels and Demons ni Dan Brown. Oh san ka pa sabay-sabay!!

4. At huli, kailangan din naman pumasok sa trabaho. Dahil pagod, pag uwi sa bahay ay nuod nuod din ng TV at tulog tulog din. So ano time ko mag sulat?? (sigh)

Kayo pano ba kayo mag sulat?? what are your motivations?? how your hands weave great stories?? share naman diyan.

Her words cracked in my eardrums.

"Gusto lang ko po maging elementary teacher, mapurol lang po utak ko" ( I just want to be elementary teacher, I only have featherbrain) she smirked after saying the words.

BboOoOm!!! the words exploded and I'm totally upset. The intensity of her statement is more like reaching the highest wave length in the seismograph. Very alarming.

Being Ignorant is inescapable human condition but to remain one is an option. According to John Locke in his Tabula rasa theory "human brain is born like a clear sheet" meaning the mental content doesn't exist at birth and it is in the individual who will nurture it. Multiple intelligences, in contrast, believes that everyone has already innate knowledge or talent during the process of conception which the person only needs to develop it as he grows up. Whatever be the correct theory between the two, both of them dwell in the idea of responsibility in self development.

Reality check. A person entering teaching profession because he is dull is no longer new to me. Sad but it's the truth and don't judge them. Actually, I have nothing against these people because I believe they have special capabilities that make them great teachers on their own way however I just hate the way they look at themselves and how they just simply accept their limitations which stops them from learning new concept.

If you want to be a teacher, make an introspection. Assess and ask yourself what makes you at least good teacher in the eyes of your children because once you admit that you only have feather brain and use teaching as your opportunity to escape your condition and be called professional, You won't gain my respect and worse even to the society. Use your personality as your reason to be part of the team and not your weaknesses, because in this field being intelligent doesn't always matter. I remember talking to my colleague after she was insulted by one of our co-teachers, she admits that she's not good enough in language and she already aged in the teaching kindergarten however, if I try to assess them, people respected more our kinder teacher primarily because of the attitude and the patience she's giving to her pupils are immeasurable. She might not inclined in advanced academic subjects but she studied how to be a good agent in dealing different personalities of small children while teaching. Passion counts.

To remind some...

being a teacher needs to wear different hats carrying out his duties,- be a communicator, a disciplinarian, a conveyor of information, an evaluator, a classroom manager, a counselor, a member of many teams and groups, a decision-maker, a role-model, and a surrogate parent. Each of these roles requires practice and skills that are often not taught in teacher preparation programs. Not all who want to be teachers should invest the time and resources in teacher training or teacher preparation programs if they do not have the appropriate temperament, skills, and personality. Way back in college when I set to decide what level will I teach, I felt certain degree of fear when I chose primary level because of the idea of being stagnant with all the basic lessons that I will be teaching to my pupils and the fear that I will totally forget what I've learned from school until I realized that it is I who will totally decide what kind of teacher I become.

To those who are not in the profession, think that...

As elementary teacher is not all about A- as in Apple, B- as in Ball, C- as in Cat and D- as in Diaper. It is more than that.

To those who plan to be in the profession, remember that...

Being a teacher doesn't require a person to be too intelligent but being feeble-minded must not be a reason to be one. Remember you'll be like stone being dropped in the sleeping lake. You create ripples. You influence.

AMININ - ung unang tatlong entry ko ay masyadong Emo. Oo na! pano naman kasi sinulat ko ang mga iyon sa gabi na ako ay nag iisa at ang ihip ng kalungkutan ang aking naging kasama. Peo ngaun? Iba naman. At ito ay tunay na nang yayari sa aming opisina.

AMININ, Sa TRABAHO ang daming magaling, ayaw patalo, lahat may alam. pasabog, BOOBM! Totoo. Ung tipong alam ni B1 ung konsepto at nag papanggap namang alam ni B2 (sarap katusan diba?).......mamaya-maya hala hayan na! ang mga mata ni B2 sumisilip sa monitor mo kung paano gawin ang ang tamang proseso. kunwari chika-chika, pa fren fren. Iba-ibang teknik parang ninja. Ang kaibahan nga lang ng mga ugaling B2 inbes na hands' projection ang gamitin tila may kakaibang Ninjitsu ang lumalabas sa bunga-nga para maging pasikat na palaka. Tsk.

Ganun man. AMININ natin, pag nagkakahiwalay kayo ~~(in good terms)~~ mamimiss niyo din ang isa't isa at sabay sabay kayong tatawa sa kabulukan ng iba. Hala. ito ang e-mail na natanggap ko kay Charles na aking katrabaho ng may konting bangayan at kakulitan dahil sa trabaho.

Oh diba ang sarap ngayon balik balikan ang mga kalokohan kahit sa trabaho ay di mag kasundo minsan . Tunay nga, para kaming Halo-halo, Iba- iba pero masarap pag nag kasalo-salo.

Gusto ko lang din klaruhin at wala akong AAMININ......Hindi po ako nag papacute sa sa mga bading para mag karoon ng bagong sapatos na mamahalin (defensive). ^_^ hahaha

Stolen MEMORIES

Its been years and yet I can still feel the infliction irking inside of me.

All I thought, living from you at bay will help me moving on from our past but this odd feeling is extremely towing me towards you. Tonight, the deep silence of the evening only reminds me the same time when we both fuel our curiosity. It was our innocent year of our life, a year in the school which supposed to be a season of gaining knowledge only but NO we took something from each other which the book can't give.

Do you still remember how it all began?

It was a cozy evening of August and a bright star was gazing us through the open window.

"Mark" you said with your soft voice

"why?"

"have you been kiss?"

"I haven't, you?"

"not yet too. How would you like to experience it?"

"I want to be perfect" I whispered

after that, dead air came between us. I was thinking at that moment picturing myself dancing with someone while beautiful music is serenading the place until..................
until my consciousness backed when l I felt your warm hand touching my wrist.

"Can I hug you?" you inquired and affirmation came through me despite second thought crossed in my mind. You passionately embraced me. you tucked your head in my shoulder and I smelled your aroma. I liked it especially the sense of security coming from you.

That same night, desire ignited us and we are lost in the sea of curiosity and lust.

We spent more nights together: ~~hugging, kissing and more~~ until you asked me about our status and if I have someone other than you. Those made me think about us, do you already have feelings towards me? were you jealous when I was with my other aquaitance? why were you showing care towards me? all of these rushed in my head but I knew everything was just product of lust and I was entirely convinced that I felt no emotional attachment to you except.................except when I graduated. I like you. Yes! I like you more that I knew. I long your embrace, I miss your scent and the taste of your lips but now that I realized it, why everything has changed? I tried to reach you out but you already moved-on while I am here stranded in my own sentiment helping myself nothing except remembering those stolen memories.

Forget the ALPHA

Could it be possible to forget your past?
Maybe, maybe not.

Sand prints the history of footsteps, so as life. Our decisions and actions in the past leave marks to the people around us however unlike the footprints on the sand- it vanishes. The wind and even the waves from the ocean help to cease the markings of the steps.

I talked to my friend over the phone yesterday and the core of our conversation was all about me and my past. I told her about the admiration I feel toward a girl I met in Greenhills- her being gorgeous and simple made her more beautiful. When I first saw her, I said to my self "I like her" which there's nothing wrong about it. We are both single.

That same night, I got her phone number but instead of texting her, I just kept it and I am hesitant to make a move because of one thing -my past. What if, she will totally become my girlfriend and she learned something about me? will I endure it seeing her crying because of that? and if I tell her everything about myself, am I ready to take a rejection? or maybe I am just putting clouds of doubt in her mind.

I know, no matter how hard I revert the things I did, I won't change it anymore. My friend over the phone told me to forget the alpha and be someone new but many "what ifs" are still running in my mind.

I just hope that one day, the wind will perfectly forget my flaws in the past and a wave of changes will definitely cover them all.
