Our trips to Kerala

Our last trip to was around 2018, before all these Covid 19 issues started. It was all very wonderful. Basically speaking living in a foreign country is good , comfortable . But you will surely miss your motherland, your relatives , the weather , smell of rain and so on..

Apart from spending time with your family and visiting relatives , we always try to get some travelling time . We try to visit places we never seen in the 25 years of life over there . And yes.. there are many beautiful places there you should at least see once in your life.

This is one of those places we visited .. Spending time in the house boat , going through the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. Those who don't know Kerala.. It is the most beautiful piece of land in the southern most end of India , surrounded by back waters and mountains and Coconut trees :

You will see the difference in scenery from the sky , when the plane lands . That is a serene feeling ..

This picturesque place called LAKE ENTRANCE was our destination last year, when my in-laws came to visit us. This is a bit far from the place we live so we desided to do a three night stay in there. We took our car, although there is a three and a half hour drive to there, it was very good. We took a owesome two bed room resort with kitchen near the beach and city centre. Kids and in-laws like it and we enjoyed a lot

Lake entrance is mainly fishing and tourist destination. From the city centre itself we will be able to see all these different types of beautiful shipping boats ready for job. There are different fishing and cruising available if you have more time to spent there.

There is a strip of gippsland lake called cunninghame arm which seperates the city centre and the ninty mile beach which streaches a wast 90 miles of beach. The walk through the foot bridge that crosses the cunninghame arm is very famous .The foot bridge itself is 5 km long but even kids were not tried walking acroos it. We were only thinking about the beautiful beach that was waiting for us on the other side of the bridge.

In this picture you can see the foot bridge that crosses the strip of water. There is an ice cream place this side we were actually going to buy ice creams for us after that long walk.

This beautiful hut is a look out for life guards on the beach.

Kids collected lots of beautifulls shells and rocks all through the beach.

The next day we went to BUCHAN CAVES. This is another natural wonder you should never want to miss when you are in Australia. This is an underground lime stone formation, almost 400 million years old created by rivers cutting through the underground lime stones.

This picture shows the entrance of the caves. My kids are anxiously waiting for the tour guide to come and open the iron doors to the caves.

He is inside the cave, the narrow walk ways are little bit scary, its almost dark there, on some places you will have to squeeze through to get the other side. The lime deposits are beautiful and looks very sacred in the dim light.

In total, the trip was very good, we did'nt had to compromise on our menu, as we had the kitchen in our resort, we managed to make our kind of food and made my in-laws happy.

Tulip festival

There is a fantastic tulip farm in our place and during spring season from mid of september to the mid of october there is the flower festival dedicated for tulip flowers caleed TULIP FESTIVAL. Different varietuies of tulips are grown and lots of people go there at that time.Its really festival of colours.

After three years we managed to get there this time.

Another day to the Shrine of remembrance

Shrine of remembrance is the memorial for the great people who lost their lifes in saving the country.

Great ocean road

This is one of the most famous destinations in melbourne. Almost 250 kms going along the south west coast of Australia. We took our Kia carnival and went there on a summer day.(Its recommended to go there on a summer day because days are longer than nights. From 6.00 am to almost aroung 8.30 pm there will be sunlight in Australia so we can really enjoy the beauty of the longest coastal road in bright sun light.) That was a great experience for all of us. The sceneries on the way is really breath taking. There are cliff points where we can stop the car and enjoy the beauty of nature. And on the way there are few beaches where we can go and have a dip. The main atttraction of the Great Ocean tour is the 12 Apostles (There is only seven remaining now) in the sea. Twelve Apostles are gaint limestone rocks stacks that stand in the sea near to the coast line. They are created by constant erosion because of the harsh weather in that area.

We started at 5.00 in the morning and had packed every thing for breakfast lunch and dinner.One of the graeat advantages of touring in australia is that, we can find BBQ parks almost between every 10kms where there will be good toilets, play area for kids and BBQ area where we can heat up our food. so that we don't have to spent our money buying food from outside.

This is picture was taken from our First halt a park with a small lake where we had our small break fast. This is actually the starting point of all the excitements. The sun was slowly coming up.

The picture above was taken from a cliff point, there we can see a cargo ship going through far ocean.

These are the images of Apostles, no wonder why there are more than million tourists a year this is really wonderfull. And this is one of my favorite pictures of all that I took.

There are also helecopter services which take us to the sky over the whole place and have a better view of the nature.

Temple

I would like to show you guys another imporant place, Our temple "Shiva Vishnu temple" in carrudowns, Victoria.

Shiva and Vishnu are main but almost all hindu gods are there including Navagrahas. It is almost 15 Kms away from our place but we go there almost all week.

Rainy day

I took this pictures two years back, when we frst landed in Australia. Infact I have to say that this provoked me to watch sky and take photos when ever there is something special in the sky. Everyday there will be some special thing going around in the sky.

In Australia as the population is very less the buildings are only one or two level in almost every suburbs. So sky watching is very easy here.

Prakrithi whch means nature is something that we can't predict. This photo I took from Frankston beach, Victoria, Australia, reminds me something like that. It looks like the shower of blessings from the god.

When I was a child I used to believe that god lived in the sky just like we live in the earth and He is watching all of us. As I grew up, the believe become stronger but with a small change.Now I know that god don't live in sky. But if that believe prevents us from doing the bad things, its better to be in that way.
