Cudos to Brown Manufacturing

What a top notch family run business Brown Manufacturing is.

Last Sunday while printing, my pallet table came crashing down. I didn't know why it did but it sure was a thundering boom when the table came crashing down. Anyway, it was Sunday but I called Brown's main number. As luck would have it, Steve answered the phone. Steve happened to be in working on some paperwork but didnt hesitate to help me diagnose what the problem was. My auto broke a drive shaft that lifts the pallets. Steve was very empathetic and tried to figure out how he could get a motor assembly out to me on Sunday but that just wasn't possible. He said he would have Hans give me a call on Monday.

Being the impatient person I can be sometimes, I called Brown on Monday morning right when they opened and received the best customer care I've had from any company in a long long time.

Without hesitation, Hans took ownership of the problem and arranged for a new motor assembly to be shipped. The motor was upgraded to their latest edition. Never once was I made to feel like it was my fault or I had done something wrong. Never once was I made to feel like I was bothering him on a Monday morning. The entire call was truly hands down professional. The assembly had to be sent by freight so Wednesday was the earliest I could get it. No worries, back to the manual I went.

I received the new assembly on Wednesday. It was easy to install and Hans walked me through the re-wiring. Easy peasy... Within about 45 minutes, the auto came back to life and shirts were flying off it again.

I can not state how impressed I am with Steve, Hans, and Brown Manufacturing as a whole. These people really take a genuine care in their customers and have never hesitated to help me with questions. Cudos to Brown manufacturing!

Pass It On

You know how you go out to eat, and the service is awful? But sometimes it’s outstanding. If you get exceptional service, you chalk it up to that being their jobs. Not only should we leave a handsome tip, but we should share our good experience with others.

Statistics show that 80% of people tell others about a bad experience they’ve had, while only the other 20% tell if they’ve had a good one. People in service or retail industries are there to serve their customers. If they are good at their jobs and enjoy what they do, you’ll get better service.

Sometimes all it takes is a kind word to change someone’s day. A little verbal pat on the back goes a very long way. So if someone has done a great job, tell them that you’re happy with their service. Or better yet, tell someone else.

Photo T-shirts

Back To School

It’s hard to believe it, but it’s almost time for back to school. A huge thank-you to all teachers and administrators for the incredible job you do. Our children are getting a great education because you love what you do. Be proud because you’re making good adults out of good kids. We parents need to pitch in and do our part as well for the sake of our children. It’s a team effort.

Some of the more interesting things we do at Skyline Prints to assist teachers throughout the year are through our Partners In Education program. Family Reunions can be very emotional

Does everyone cry when their family reunion ends? Since we don’t see each other more than once a year, we probably do. From the great-grandparents to the babies, there’s a common bond that only your family can share.

At my reunions, Aunt Catherine always sits in a corner sewing. Her project is always the same--adding a square to the quilt she’s making for her granddaughter. Each square is made from that year’s family reunion t-shirt. So far, there are 14 squares to be sewn together, one for each year of her granddaughter’s life. When Haley turns 18, she’ll receive the quilt as a special gift from Nana. No doubt, it will be one of her most cherished possessions for the rest of her life.

Ever wondered where the T-shirt originated. Here's a few facts Ive dug up. The Tshirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century. The first Tshirt was created by cutting the one-piece "union suit" underwear into separate top and bottom garments, with the top long enough to tuck under the waistband of the bottoms. Named the T-shirt due to the shape of the garment's outline, they soon became popular as a bottom layer of clothing for workers in various industries. The T-shirt was easily fitted, easily cleaned, and inexpensive. In the early 1950s several companies started to decorate T-shirts with different resort names and various characters. The first company, Tropix Togs, was the original licensee for Walt Disney characters that included Mickey Mouse and Davy Crockett. They became even more popular after Marlon Brando wore a Tshirt in A Streetcar Named Desire, finally achieving status as fashionable, stand-alone, outer-wear garments. I wonder y people running 4 local office cm by my store asking 4 my vote but order their campaign tshirts & signs from companies outside their district or even the state. let's make sure i understand, you want me 2 support you but you wont support local businesses in your district? hmm.. i wonder if you are going 2 vote for whats best for your district if you won't support local business that create jobs?
