Been wondering what's been up?
Sorry I have been to busy to post much and when I know I only have 0 to 2 regular readers I tend to forget to update. I need to remember I am doing this for myself and not the public.

Anyways here is the skinny on Mike over the past few months

0 Hours for Detroit Newspapers.
Kick ass fun times with Gabi & Silva.
Gabi's mom in the hospital, out of the hospital, back in, out and in again.
Moving.

Life is ok. Some medical stuff going on. I have been having a ton of migranes lately and the doctors wanted me to get a CT scan so I went in today. First, I hope it comes back clean. Second, I hope it does provide an answer for the problem. Otherwise just cleaning the house today.

I have a new project I am going to start working on. I have decided to put Crimson aside as a "when I feel like it project" and will be centering around this new project. Time-Mind is still gonna happen as well just the new one will be at the front of what I am working on.

The project is called, The Santa Bill. This is an idea I have been kicking around in my head for sometime and am now deciding to get it out.

I have 2 albums I have been listening to lately one of which I am shocked is so good, the other I am shocked I have never discovered it before.

Panic at the Disco - "Pretty Odd"
I was so into "Nine in the Afternoon" That I decided to check it out. After downloading Pretty Odd, I gave it a listen and was elated to find out that Panic at the Disco has matured in their music. This is something that bands are forgetting to do lately. They are sticking to the fad and not branching their styles. Pretty Odd does this. This album is so catchy that it just gets in you. You will have every song stuck in your head by the end after just one listen. Some key songs I enjoy: "Nine in the Afternoon" "I Have Friends in Holy Places" "Northern Downpour" "Behind the Sea" "Folkin' Around" "She Had the World".

Rise Against - The Sufferer & The Witness

I have always considered myself a fan of Rise Against...Based on what I have heard on the radio. Because of that I really knew nothing about them. "The Good Left Undone" has be killing on the radio recently and I can't get it out of my head. That opening riff just gets into me, it is one of the best riffs I have heard on the radio in a long time. I love it...So, I gave it a download. This album surprises me with every song. Each one is so good from intro to end, it takes you on a ride that never stops. Some key songs I like: "The Good Left Undone" (of course) "Injection" "Under the Knife" "The Approaching Curve" "Bricks"

I work at FedEx Ground as a Package Handler on the evening shife. I have been there for 1 year today. I really enjoy this job but the hours are from 4:30PM to 9:30PM. As a result I never see my wife, Silva. She works from 8AM to 4:30PM, I am sure you see where the problem. I see her for maybe an hour at night before bed. The only time we have together is on the weekends...And we are way to busy on the weekends to enjoy each other. We always seem to fight and it is really getting old fast. Today, I told my manager I want to switch shifts to the morning shift....3AM to 9AM. Sure I half to be up early but whatever I will be just happy to be able to see my wife.

I am a huge Oasis fan. So this past weeks release of the single, "The Shock of the Lightning" off their upcoming album, "Dig Out Your Soul" has me really excited. From this track you can tell that Oasis is making a return to it's old self. I found a link from Talktonight.co.uk that has a download of the song for you.

Of all the Oasis songs my favorites ones are the Noel sung Acoustic ones. So when I saw this I was excited that this is Noel singing all of the best songs they have plus a Beatles song to boot. The track list is as follows:

I had a dream the other day.
You were there,
at the end of a tunnel.
You were just a silhouette,
but I could see your eyes,
shinning blue;
brighter than any precious blue gem I’ve ever seen.
My heart was in joy.
The thought of being with you again,
made me ache.
I ran for you.
I ran tell I could feel battery acid pump through my veins.
but you were still just a silhouette.
Black against a sea of white light.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

We went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival. We had Liam and Gabi so we were to busy worrying about the baby and the heat so taking picture wasn't paid attention to. Silva and I will probably be going again at the end of the festival season, sans kids so we can really enjoy it. We won't be spending any money except on food and stuff but it will be nice to see all the shows. Some of the pics below. The rest are here

World of Warcraft/Work

I have been playing WoW again...I took a brack for 3 or 4 months but am back now. I hit level 70 with my main a Human Paladin (Millyan on Kul Tiras). The only problem is I don't have WotLK yet, therefore I am just working on leveling alts and doing acheivements. My wife plays as well so we have been leveling 2 characters together they are both 50 and we are going to play those hardcore so we can get to Outlands.

As far as my life goes it's been all about work. I have been doing FedEx in the early mornings and Bank of America during the day and it is killing. I am actually in my last week at BofA and will be switching back to the afternoon shift at FedEx.The amount of money I will be making won't be much different but I will be less overworked. Silva (my wife) is pregnant again so in May we will have another boy. Working this way I will be able to watch the kids and take care of the baby myself instead of paying for daycare. My son Liam is 13 months now and is walking and starting to talk. It is very exciting.

New TV/Ikea

Got the new TV.

We did a lot of research and decided the best tv for the amount of money we had was the 32" Vizio 1080p from Sam's Club. It was only $557. Also has good reviews online.

When we got home and hooked it all up we were faced with reality that with only a regular DVD player and only a standard Digital Cable box the picture sucks. Immediately, we called Comcast and ordered an HD Box so we can watch Hannah Montana in FULL HD!!!

I decided that I did not want to spend money on a Blu-Ray player when I don't have any BRDVD's so I went to Best Buy to get an Upconvertable DVD player. The one I wanted was not in but they did have a Sony Blue-Ray out of the box for $212. After the salesperson told me that it upconverts I decided it was a good deal. Later, I will buy a PS3 but for now it is worth it.

Went to Ikea on Sunday and got a new TV stand so that Liam can't reach the TV. Works great for now but I am afraid in a couple of months he will be big enough to get to it. By then he should be able to understand that touching the TV is not a good thing.

Also, at Ikea we picked up a crib and a dresser for Liam. We have decided that when the new baby comes we will give Liam his own room. The theme for his room will be Star Wars, so we got a blue crib. Also it turns into a toddler bed for when he is big enough for that.

I will post pictures of the new crib and the dresser later when they are put together.

Wrote this in 2007 when my sister's son passed away 2 days after birth.

The night was cold,

the moon was bright.

We were all sleeping,

when you left us that night.

I remember you there,

breathing so still.

You gave us all hope,

you always will.

You were so tiny,

on your little white bed.

With lots of black hair ,

I have decided that kids need to come with spoiler alerts. A little while my little girl, who was 5 at the time, told me about the movie she seen. I really didn't know what movie she was telling me about. but her discription went so:

Gabi: "this one guy his grandpa was died and his friend turned bad and tried to died him then the man who died his grandpa turned even badder and tried to die him."
Me: "Really...then what happened"
Gabi: "He turned into a spider and then tried to die the man who died his grandpa. Then his friend was good and and he helped the spider die the bad man"

At that point I realize she is refering to Spiderman 3 which I had not seen. It turns out her Grandpa on her mom's side let them watch the movie. I decided to rent the movie and was very disappointed to find that she ruined the entire move!

So, I think humans need to evolve at this point and include a message that warns us when a kids is going to give away the ending to a movie
