National symbols are part of a shared history and experience, remembrance of any given country, like a brand's icon or a school's mascot. Think of your family and friends - are there objects, Pics, drawings, songs, etc that evoke strong emotions and feelings of togetherness?

It is the same with national symbols, they evoke our feelings of community that somewhere deeply rooted in our minds. But even after these many years of freedom, in a transitional period, we are looking for a new approach in our attitudes to preserve some of these symbols. Peacock, which was declared as the National Bird of India in 1963 .

The criteria for this choice were many, but because of its rich religious and legendary involvement in Indian traditions -- The peacock fit the bill. The term "peacock" is commonly used to refer to birds of both sexes. Technically, only males are peacocks. Females are peahens, and together, they are called peafowl. In contrast to the natural phenomenon, the male peacock is more stunning than its female counterpart. The most beautiful part of a male peacock is a spectacular bronze-green train of elongated feathers.

One of the most beautiful sights in the world of birds is that of a peacock displaying the beauty of its glittering tail features. It is capable of extending its tail erect like fan as ostentatious display. It displays the divine shape of Omkara when it spreads its magnificent plumes into a full-blown circular form. Various references about the peacock are found in World history.

It was considered as symbol of immortality, Central figure of faith, 'Resurrection of Christ' in Christianity and even as Guardian to royalty in Persia. In Hindu culture, the peacock is the mount of the lord Karthikeya, the god of war. From ancient times, peacock has drawn the attention of poets, emperors, invaders, warriors for its beauty and grace.

During the Medieval period, various types of fowl were consumed as food, with the poor consuming birds as chicken. And the more wealthy were privileged to more exotic foods, such as swan and Peafowl. Even at that time neither its meat nor its eggs were frequently eaten but It was considered poultry due to the possibility that the meat and eggs can be eaten and that the species is often raised for its feathers. They consider a peacock would be for ostentatious display on a king's table, Later on from Gupta period the Peacock established itself as the royal bird.

Asoka and then followed by Aurangzeb ordered a ban on shooting and killing of peacocks. Protected under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, the peacock, which has been declared the National Bird of India, is gradually declining in numbers. Though it’s found in almost all parts and enjoys full protection but Increased poaching, indiscriminate use of pesticides and lax laws to nab those who kill the peacocks for their feathers, have all added up to endanger the population of beautiful peacocks which at one time teemed all over the country.

Though the bird got the identity as National symbol because it was well-distributed within the country so it could truly 'national'. But now peacock is predominantly found in the Indian sub-continent, ranging from the south to east of the Indus river. Jammu and Kashmir, east Assam, south Mizoram and the Indian peninsula. White peacocks make up less than one percent of the world peacock population and Thiruparangundrum in Tamil Nadu is one of the few pockets in India where the rare peacock is found.

Ironically, until today no census has been conducted of the peacock. Non-feasibility has been cited as the only reason. But is this the only single reason can't the common man realises the need of their contribution for the preservation of these birds.

We, the people have to work to see that their numbers increase. We should not leave everything to the government.

We have to launch a drive to see that the birds are not harmed. After all this is our National Bird which foster patriotism in citizens, and hence it must be preserved.

My Fellow Citizens,

I address you today for the last time as Prime Minister of India.

Ten years ago, when I was entrusted with this responsibility, I entered upon it with diligence as my tool, truth as my beacon and a prayer that I might always do the right thing.

Today, as I prepare to lay down office, I am aware that well before the final judgment that we all await from the Almighty, there is judgment in the court of public opinion that all elected officials and governments are required to submit themselves to.

Fellow citizens, each one of us should respect the judgement that you have delivered. The just concluded elections have deepened the foundations of our democratic polity.

As I have said on many occasions, my life and tenure in public office are an open book. I have always tried to do my best in serving this great nation of ours.

In the last ten years, we as a country have seen many successes and achievements that we should be proud of. Today, India is a far stronger country in every respect than it was a decade ago. I give credit for these successes to all of you. However, there is still vast latent development potential in our country and we must collectively work hard to realize it.

As I leave office, my abiding memory will be the love and kindness that I have always received from you. I owe everything to this country, this great land of ours where I, an underprivileged child of Partition, was empowered enough to rise and occupy high office. It is both a debt that I will never be able to repay and a decoration that I will always wear with pride.

Friends, I am confident about the future of India. I firmly believe that the emergence of India as a major powerhouse of the evolving global economy is an idea whose time has come. Blending tradition with modernity and unity with diversity, this nation of ours can show the way forward to the world. Serving this nation has been my privilege. There is nothing more that I could ask for.

I wish the incoming government every success as it embarks on its task and pray for even greater successes for our nation.

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement and it's not wrong to be optimistic, but the greatest obstacle is the illusion of knowledge.

With track records of 15 million jobs in 10 years, I think 10 crore jobs in next 5 years is a cruel joke.

Some leaders in our country are living in a myth that electorates are still living in the age when televisions are often found in one or two homes in the entire colony. I think time has gone today's generation don't care about secularism or communalism. Go to any social site and you will find ample amount of pics with voting fingers. Mango people know about the current situations and will be enjoying their constitutional right to vote and bring the justice.

Every year more than 8 million students complete their college education and if you have provided formal jobs to 15 million people in last 10 years, then every year lacs of students are unemployed. If you were unable to produce these results in the past, then promising 10 crore jobs in next 5 years is a crime – Very basic question is why India’s young generation hasn’t got this in last 10 years when you were in power.

Though we all can trust this joke but if such are the promising plans then why these plans are not implemented in the past, why it's just before elections and that too in the election manifesto.

Unemployed people -- who were at the age of 21-22, when UPA1 came in to the power, would be under a big mess. Stats of country economics is a big joke for them. Do they really care about GDP, RBI interest rates, taxes or blah blah...?

In recent interviews Mr. Rahul Gandhi said that there is a proposed industrial corridor plan linking the metropolitan cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai which will provide employment to about 10 crore youth in the coming 5 years. But can he please explain how??? Such things need policies which are governed as holy books -- right to health, right to pension, right to housing, right to social security, right to dignity and humane working conditions, and right to entrepreneurship are all myth if you can't provide the vision of how you can achieve the same.

It's good to be better listener then speaker but sometime it kills your position and that's what has happened with our honourable economist -- current member of this political party. After 10 years of economic mismanagement, how can you commit 10% growth in manufacturing and increase in contribution of manufacturing sector share to 25% of the GDP. In current trends our industry growth is in negative, big projects are on hold because election is nearby. The share of manufacturing as a percentage of GDP as a result of 10 years of UPA has come down to 16% and if you are still promising 10 crore jobs then it's just an illusion. National unemployment percentage has reached to 9.4 in 2010-2012 and if you still think that with 1.6 crore jobs you can fit in 3.1+ crore literates, then it’s really tough to digest.

In view of vowing the voter’s food security bill is passed which btw will effect every individual of the society in terms of inflation, tax and many other things. Today you feel that you have given enough to urban middle class and right now it’s time to take back. Do you really believe that you have done so-- Just look at the graduate level (fresher level) salary standards of big pay masters and you will come to know that rates are reduced because of distortion in demand and supply chain. Paying more money in terms of fifth, sixth pay commission won't help other graduates who work day and night in private mnc’s.

Though you can still bank on your main constituency of poor voters in an election manifesto but this time promises won't serve the purpose.

Mr. Anand Sharma (Congress leader) was reported to say -- As part of India’s national manufacturing policy (NMP), the country is seeking to boost the sector’s growth and ramp up its share in the country’s GDP to 25 per cent from the current 15-16 per cent in the next decade. The target is to create 100 million jobs by 2022 and now here we are talking about 100 million jobs in next 5 years.

In a democratic nation they are free to say that they have uplifted the poor’s but in reality GDP, food inflation and policy paralysis has shown the graphs. Even in these elections they are vowing more than 81 crore voters in terms of food security bill, which means a clear investment of 100+ thousand crores in a year. Can they answer the funding of this investment? Helping the needed ones are not wrong but stats suggest that the government is spending Rs 3.65 today to deliver Re. 1 worth of subsidized food-- such is the level of corruption. At the end of the day intended beneficiary hardly gets 57% of the subsidized food.

However 10 crore jobs are not impossible if labour laws of manufacturing, land laws, Agricultural projects, strict governing laws, new projects approval, big programs in up skilling, big programs in infrastructure is changed. Nothing is impossible means that I M Possible but it requires a plan of how it will be done.

Congress vice president through its manifesto promised to bring India's two-third population into the middle class by setting out a 15-point agenda to transform the country's socio-economic and political condition. Congress elected prime minister says that manifesto is a “forward looking document” which attempts to cover the needs of all sections of society, from farmers, the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, women and children -- but where is the middle man.

Unemployed person don't care about country's economy because at the end of the day success in your degree without actual rewards is an unseasoned dish. Stats matter to an economist but for an unemployed person it’s hunger and frustration.

Red which is often referred as aggressive color sits at the end of the spectrum. It also had a negative association, with heat, destruction and evil but that's not all in some cultures like China -- Red color is associated with happiness, where as in others it is commonly associated with sacrifice, passion, fire, beauty, battle, communism, socialism, blood and anger.

Since it is the color of the wavelength of light on the spectrum and easily visible, hence all danger signs like stop signs/lights, fire equipment’s, brake lights are painted red.

People like to write using colorful inks for fun or to emphasize particular words. Though the intention is to make sure that those words in particular will get your attention but sometimes using red ink in such emails is risky.

Since red color has negative connotation, so you are leaving the level of emphasis up to the other side. It sounds as if you are an angry person, it might create a bad impression about you. In normal course of the day Red ink makes your email as warning email which is to express that the sender is clearly upset and want you to action on the email on priority. However there is nothing wrong in writing red ink email in casual correspondence because you know the reader and you are just sending an email with a louder voice. This is much different than writing an email in all caps or yelling on someone.

However, it’s always Good to avoid negative connotations unless its really required.

I remember when my dad sugested me to deposit some money in PPF and I never agreed to him till the time i realised i should have opened it long back. Now I have openned my PPF account and now I understand the benifits of it. Below are some key features mentioned about PPF.

Public Provident Fund scheme is a long term investment scheme floated by the Government of India. PPF has been introduced for salaried as well as for self employed people to encourage savings habit and provide tax benefits. As compared to other small savings schemes introduced by government and by non- government institutions, The balance in the PPF account cannot be attached by any order or decree of court in respect of any debt or liability incurred by the subscriber.

Investor can invest as minimum as Rs. 500 to maximum Rs. 1,00,000 in the PPF account in one complete financial year in one lump sum subscription or in maximum 12 transactions. Tenure of PPF scheme is 15 years and premature closure of account is not allowed. After 15 years investor can completely withdraw the accumulated balance (Principal + Interest) and close the account or if investor desires to extend his PPF account, extension can be taken in a block period of 5 years for any number of times. As per PPF scheme terms and conditions prescribed by Government, an investor can avail of loan and withdrawal facility.

The interest rate in your PPF account is calculated on the lowest balance between the fifth and the last day of the month. So to maximise your earnings, try making deposits between the 1st and the 5th of the month. Interest is compounded annually and credited on March 31 each year.

You could take a loan on your PPF deposit, subject to certain terms and conditions. Loans could be taken from the third year onwards till the sixth year. Up to a maximum of 25 per cent of the balance at the end of the 2nd immediately preceding year would be allowed as loan. Such withdrawals are to be repaid within 24 months. Rate of interest charged on the loan would be 2 per cent more than the PPF interest rate prevailing then.

A second loan could be availed as long as you are within the 3rd and the 6th year, and only if the first one is fully repaid. Also note that once you become eligible for withdrawals, no loans would be permitted. Inactive accounts or discontinued accounts are not eligible for loan.

Deposits in a PPF account qualify for a deduction under section 80C. Furthermore, the entire maturity amount including the interest is non-taxable. Not only is the interest earned tax free, PPF deposits are exempt from wealth tax too.

After 15 years of maturity, full PPF amount can be withdrawn and all is tax free, including the interest amount as well. The PPF is a great wealth building tool for risk-averse investors and should be opened and continued till maturity by one and all.

Individuals who are residents of India are eligible to open their account under the Public Provident Fund scheme. A PPF account may be opened under the name of a minor by his/her legal guardian. However, each person is eligible for only one account under his/her name.

Non-resident Indians (NRIs) are not eligible to open an account under the Public Provident Fund Scheme. However a resident who becomes an NRI during the 5 years' tenure prescribed under Public Provident Fund Scheme, may continue to subscribe to the fund until its maturity on a non-repatriation basis. Deposit to PPF is tax deductible for individual assessees in India u/s 80C of Income Tax Act, 1961.

Under no circumstances, can an individual open two PPF accounts. You can not open an account for a minor. If you open an account with a minor, it is considered to be your PPF account.

Funds can be transferred via CASH or NRO Account. Funds can be transferred via Internet banking.

Invest in PPF account only if you are willing to invest for a long duration. But the returns will be high. Longer the duration you keep money in an investment like ppf higher will be the returns.

It's all happening with Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf -- a former military chief who ruled the country from 1999 to 2008. After returning to Pakistan last year with the aim of running in the country's national elections had been receiving several threats to his life, explosives have been recovered from around his farmhouse residence on a number of occasions.

Musharraf indicted in Bhutto killing, declared a state of emergency, suspended Pakistan's constitution, replaced the chief judge and blacked out independent TV outlets. Musharraf said he did so to stabilize the country and to fight rising Islamist extremism. but the action drew sharp criticism in form of court charges of high treason. On monday he faced total of five charges during the hearing at the court in Islamabad. These includes three counts of subverting, suspending and changing the country's constitution, sacking Pakistan's chief justice and imposing emergency rule.

Leader who had once ruled the nation is now attending his court trails under tight security, with thousands of police and security forces lining the route to the court.

On thrusday his convoy escapes a powerful blast,.His convoy was passing from Faizabad bridge and just after the convoy passed from it a serial explosion has hit the bridge.

According to sources, almost four to six kilograms of explosive material was planted in a pipeline near a footpath.The intensity of the blast caused about a foot deep hole in the ground at the site of the explosion.... DawnNews reported.

Recently Intelligence agencies had warned that terrorists affiliated with Al Qaeda were planning to target the retired general.Retired four-star general who has once attributed education as the main reason for low levels of social and economic prospects of muslim world. Person who belives in empowering womens as they constitute 50% of the population.

So Question is will it be a demolition of retired four-star general Or will he bounce back....

Hindustan - Land Of the Indus, Hindustan is derived from the modern Persian word Hindu

Let’s discuss about Akhand Bharat “Undivided India” and its history. Akhand Bharat's mythical borders that extend from Afghan to Far East Malaysia. Afghanistan, Burma, Srilanka, Nepal and Bhutan were some of the present countries which were believed to be the part of Undivided India.

Before Persians gave the name HINDU, religion followed by people of Ancient India was "Sanadhana Dharmam". Persians gave the name Hindu.

India is supposed to be the oldest land in which the civilizations were created. Persians who lived at this period were the reasons for the name of the religion Hindu that we use now. They even gave the name Hindustan and India to our country. Sindhu was the river that was flowing in our country. In their pronunciation there is no "s" so they called it as Hind and later the groups of people with similar culture were called as Hindus in our country.

Sindhu was a Sanskrit name given to the river that flowed here and the people beyond the river Sindhu were called Hindu and the place they follow the religion was called as the Hindustan. And moreover the Persians don't have the "S" sound in their script and pronunciation so they named the Sindhu River as Indus. The place that the Hindus lived was called as the Hindustan in Sanskrit. This was the origin of the word Hindustan.

With the increase in the population of India, there were lots of concepts of living together in groups. Then there emerged civilizations in our country where people split themselves and formed into many groups. There came the Indus Valley Civilization.

Hindustan is derived from the Modern Persian word Hindu. In Old Persian, the region beyond the Indus River was referred to as Hinduš (the Iranian equivalent of Sanskrit Sindhu), hence Modern Persian Hind, Hindu. This combined with the Iranian suffix -stān results in Hindustan, "land of the Indus". By about 1st century BCE, the term "Hein-tu" was used by Chinese, for referring to North Indian people. The term came into common use under the rule of the Mughals who referred to their dominion, centered on Delhi, as 'Hindustan'.

India and Bharat are equally official short names for the Republic of India, while "Hindustan" is still widely used as an alternative name when Indians speak amongst themselves.

The Prehistoric Era:-

The Stone Age: The Stone Age began 500,000 to 200,000 years ago and recent finds in Tamil Nadu(at C. 75000 years ago, before and after the explosion of the Toba Volcano) indicate the presence of the first anatomically humans in the area. Tools crafted by proto-humans that have been dated back to two million years have been discovered in the Northwestern part of the country.

The Bronze Age: The Bronze Age in the Indian subcontinent dates back to around 3300 BCE with the early Indus Valley Civilization. Historically part of ancient India, it is one of the world's earliest, urban civilizations, along with Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. Inhabitants of this era developed new techniques in metallurgy and handicraft and produced copper, bronze, lead and tin.

Early Historic Period:-

Vedic Period: 1500-500 BCE.

The Vedic Period is distinguished by the Indo-Aryan culture which was associated with the texts of Vedas, sacred to Hindus, and that were orally composed in Vedic Sanskrit. The Vedas are some of the oldest extant texts, next to those in Egypt and Mesopotamia. The Vedic era in the subcontinent lasted from about 1500-500 BCE, laying down the foundation of Hinduism and other cultural dimensions of early Indian society. The Aryans laid down Vedic civilization all over North India, particularly in the Gangetic Plain.

Mahajanapadas:

This period saw the second major rise in urbanization in India after the Indus valley Civilization. The word "maha" means great and the word "janapada" means foothold of a tribe. In the later Vedic Age a number of small kingdoms or city states had mushroomed across the subcontinent and also find mention in early Buddhist and Jain literature as far back as 1000 BCE. By 500 BCE, sixteen "republics" or Mahajanapadas has been established, namely; Kasi, Kosala, Anga, Magadha, Vajji (or Vriji),Malla, Chedi, Vatsa (or Vamsa), Kuru, Panchala, Matsya, Surasena, Assaka, Avanti,Gandhara, and Kamboja.

Persian and Greek Conquests: Much of the Northwest subcontinent (currently Afghanistan and Pakistan) came under the rule of the Persian Achaemenid Empire in C. 520 BCE under the rule of Darius the Great and remained so for two centuries. In 326 BCE, Alexander the Great conquered Asia Minor and the Achaemenid Empire, when he reached the Northwest frontier of the Indian subcontinent he defeated King Porus and conquered most of Punjab

Maurya Empire: The Mauryan Empire was the first major empire in the history of India and ruled the land from 322 BC to 185 BC. Important rulers of this dynasty were Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara, and King Ashoka. Bindusara was succeeded by his son Ashoka, the most famous of the Mauryan Kings who reign from- 273 - 232 B.C. He extended the boundaries of his empire considerably - stretching from Kashmir and Peshawar in the North and Northwest to Mysore in the South and Orissa in the East - but his fame rests not so much on military conquests as on his celebrated renunciation of war. After witnessing the carnage at the battle field of Kalinga (269 B.C.) in Orissa, Ashoka resolved to dedicate himself to Dhamma - or righteousness. The war of Kalinga was the turning point in the life of Ashoka to the extent that he shunned all forms of violence and became a strict vegetarian.

As Ashoka became a devout Buddhist, he began to spread the teachings of Buddha by issuing

edicts. These edicts were sent to different parts of the empire, where they were engraved on rocks or pillars, for the common people to see and read them. These edicts were written in different scripts. Most of them were in Brahmi, which was common in most parts of the empire. The language was generally Prakrit (ancient language), as it was spoken by the common people, whereas Sanskrit was spoken by educated upper caste people.

The great Mauryan Empire did not last long after the death of Ashoka and ended in 185 BC. Weak kings on one hand and the unmanageability of a vast empire on the other caused the rapid decline of the Mauryas

The Golden age: After Mauryan decline lot many smaller kingdoms came into picture. Massive Mauryan kingdom was broken into smaller kingdom.Many other Empires ruled India like Satavahana Empire (50 B.C to 250 A.D), Kushan Empire (ca. 2nd century b.c.-3rd century a.d.), Gupta Dynasty (320 to 600 CE).

The Classic age:

- Hrasha's or Harshwardhan's Empire (590-647 AD)

- The Chalukyas, Pallavas, and Pandyas (550 AD to 1310 AD).

- Chola Empire , Pratiharas - Palas - Rashtrakutas, The Rajputs, Vijayanagar Empire

- Islamic Sultanates from Persia and Turkey.

- Delhi Sultanate (1211 - 1525 AD).

The Mughal Empire: In 1526, Babur, a descendant of Timur and Gengis Kahn from Fergana Valler (present day Uzbekistan) swept across the Khyber Pass and established the Mughal Empire which covered modern day Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The Mughal dynasty ruled most of the Indian subcontinent till 1600; after which it went into decline after 1707 and was finally defeated during India's first war of Independence in 1857.

Colonial Era: From the 16th century, European powers such as Portugal, Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom established trading posts in India. Later, they took advantage of internal conflicts and established colonies in the country.

The British Rule: The British Rule in India began with the coming of the British East India Company in 1600 and continued till Indian independence from British rule in 1947.

Fight For Independence:

In the 20th century Mahatma Gandh or Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi led millions of people in a national campaign of non-violent civil disobedience to contain independence from the British.

Independence and Partition of Hindustan:

Religious tension between the Hindus and Muslims had been brewing over the years, especially in provinces like Punjab and West Bengal. The Muslims were a minority and they did not feel secure in the prospect of an exclusively Hindu government and hence made them wary of independence. All through this Mahatama Gandhi called for unity among the two religious groups. The British, whose economy had been weakened after World War 2, decided to leave India and participated in the formation of an interim government. The British Indian territories gained independence in 1947, after being partitioned into the Union of India and the Dominion of Pakistan.

Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer Butter Masala is one of the most popular dish in Indian North Indian Cuisine. Very commonly ordered in restaurants in India.

This is rich in ingredients and its tastes delicious.

Most of the North Indians are fond of Paneer Butter Masala. This recipe will help you tp prepare PNB very easily and quickly without putting extra efforts. Within Minutes you will have a delicious and rich PNB ready to be served.

Ingredients-

200 or 250 gms paneer/cottage cheese, cubed or diced
2 tbsp cashew – soaked if you have time and then ground with some water to a smooth paste. if less time, then just grind the cashews to a smooth paste.
4-5 medium size tomatoes – puree
1 or 2 green chili, slit (reserve a few for garnishing)
1 inch ginger and 3-4 garlic – crushed or ground in a mortar & pestle
1 inch ginger – julienned (reserve a few for garnishing)
1 bay leaf/tej patta
1 tsp kasuri methi/dry methi leaves
1 tsp garam masala or tandoori masala
½ tsp red chili powder/lal mirch powder or deghi mirch or kashmiri mirch powder
1 tbsp oil + 1 or 2 tbsp butter
1.5 cups water
a few coriander/cilantro/dhania leaves for garnishing (optional)
salt and sugar as required – check notes below for adding sugar

Instructions

heat oil and butter in a pan. add bay leaf and fry for some 10-15 seconds or till the oil become fragrant.
add ginger-garlic paste and fry till the raw aroma disappears.
add the tomato puree and stir well. add red chili powder after 2-3 mins and stir again. saute till the oil starts to leave the sides of the tomato paste.
add cashew paste and stir well. saute the cashew paste till the oil begins to leave the sides of the masala paste.
add water and stir. simmer on a low flame.
add julienned ginger and green chilies, salt and sugar and simmer till the curry begins to thicken.
add the paneer cubes and cook them for 2-3 minutes till they become soft.
don’t cook for a long time as the paneer will become dense.
lastly add crushed kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves & garam masala. stir.
garnish paneer butter masala with coriander leaves.

Serving-

Serve with corriender leaves and some green chilli with rotis , Naan or basmati rice. Have some onion and lemon with side compliments.

“The Socialist” Mulayam singh Yadav respectfully known as "Netaji" was recently compared with Italian dictator Mussolini by Beni Prasad Verma.

A diminutive but a "never say die fighter" draws strong support dominantly from the Yadav clan and Muslims.

SP is running a private company, there is no space for the genuine and common workers. Mulayam Singh is distributing lucrative posts and seats to family members and 'loved ones' -- says Trilok Tyagi who had joined the party in 2007 along with 2 other members of RLD.

Party is facing resentment over ticket distribution for 2014 lok sabha elections. Some of the leaders who were associated over a decade, moved out of SP.

Time has knocked the door; current government is already sitting on the records of Poor governance in Muzaffarnagar and with strong leaders like Ramakant Yadav, who won the azamgrah seat for SP both the times, will now be posing a strong challenge to the SP supremo.

With other senior party leaders unhappy with ticket distribution and many leaving the party ---2014 elections would be a tough situation not only for the Samajwadi party but for SP Supremo family limited company.

Dear Mr. Suresh Kalmadi,

Namaskar!!

Welcome back to Pune. I know you have been busy out of your constituency for most time, but we can understand your commitments with the Tihar Jail.

Now, that you are back in the city and spending some leisure time thinking to decide whether or not you should contest the Lok Sabha elections or not, I would want to give a piece of ‘unwanted’ advice. Now that Congress has not given any ‘bhav’ to you and have fielded Vishwajeet Kadam from Pune instead, we are to believe that you are left with limited options – either you support Kadam or contest elections yourself or boycott election completely and live a retired life probably as a governor of Telangana or any other state. (Sheila Dixit told us being a Governor is the best retirement job these days).

My sincere advice to you would be to totally ignore first option as it would be totally unfair to Kadam who may be losing anyways, to get a perfect excuse – “I lost because of affiliation with Kalmadi.” I would also advice to dismiss the third option because I believe people should not lose the respect for the First person of the state (Governor). So, that leaves the second option – contest as an independent. I would highly recommend you to do so.

My reasons are very simple. Every time I discuss politics at the tapri with my fellow colleagues of IT company, who are from different parts of India, my head goes in shame to mention my MP is a tainted politician who has been sacked from IOA on charges of corruption. When my international clients boast about China and London Olympics, I feel embarrassed that my MP could not even ensure a clean CommonWealth Games in 2010. So much so that misuse of office party funds is jokingly called ‘Kalmadisation’ nowadays. Even during the Anna movement, when people were confronting their MPs across India to press for Lokpal, we could not even do that because you were busy sipping tea in the Tihar jail. Therefore, I now believe that in the city of Tilak and Gokhale, we cannot afford to have a Kalmadi.

And so, it would be in the earnest interest of the reputation of Punekars that you contest elections and we get a chance to repent what we did the last three times. If you feel that it is just your name that has been tainted, its not correct. Collectively it is a taint on us who sent you to parliament in the first place. So, ideally it should be us who should disown you through the medium of these elections. I wish that you contest and we thoroughly reject you. I wish you lose so badly that it be a lesson to future leaders of consequences of corruption. I wish you lose deposit in the same way our nation lost deposit of honor while hosting the games. I wish that we succeed in washing our sins of sending a tainted politician to the parliament by defeating you. I wish we regain our Pune pride by completely marginalizing and disowning you.

And I wish when you come to us this time asking for votes, we ask “Who are you?” in the same way as you claimed you suffer from dementia (memory loss) in the Commonwealth Games scam investigation.

23 Years on the cricket field , has been an immense contribution from a single human being .

What he did to this game was just tremendous, Cricket once just a game in India , has now become a religion , which unites Indians not just in India , but across the world,be it any part of the world you go to.

Its all because of what this legend did in the decade of late 1990 ,It empowered India to at a big level , he single handedly proved to the world he was ready for any challenge , and today if you read comments from the best of those era

You will just see words of applause from any bowler, Denis Lillee to Curtly Ambrose to Allan Donald to Brett Lee to Wasim Akram to Dale Steyn. He has dominated the best in the world and that’s the reason for him to have achieved all the respect he holds today.

I need not mention any specific innings , or about his ups and downs in cricket. Its not anything new , that people are not aware off, but I want to share a recent experience, which I suffered and what made me feel a glimpse of what it takes to be Sachin Tendulkar.

Recentlty I appeared for trials of Bowling for one my closed groups organized by corporates in India. We had around 2000 people who appeared for the trials ,

When I was given the chance to bowl , I was allowed to bowl only 2 deliveries. And the ball was taken from me. And same was the case with just everyone ,later on they just went on to select just one bowler and on what basis only they know , because for me its too difiicult to judge someone just on two balls.

I just wondered if it was that difficult for me to be selected out of 500 bowlers, being a 24 year old grown up, how would a 14 year kid would have made it to Deniss lilee’s pace academy, what kind of determination he would have possessed.

Yes Sachin Tendulkar first came in for trials at the age of 14 as a medium pace bowler and was asked to forget bowling and concentrate on batting rather, two years later he turned up again and finally at age of 16 made it to the Indian team , out of the billion people of India, being the youngest to be representing your nation , shows the passion , determination , prowess of this great Human Being.

And there after he never looked back . There are hardly words to describe what he has done , encouraging genrations , and being an idol for them, Inspiring them to do wonders in their field and making them believe , that if you remain focused to your targets , there’s not a thing in this world you cannot achieve.

Today being one of the most renowned sports person in this world , he truly deserved the Bharat Ratna award.

But what hurts me is when still you here people saying some utter crap about him , especially about his decision of retirement coming up late/early , should have been after worldcup 2011, etc.

I mean the youth who grew up watching him , are just 24. 25 years old , that’s almost age of his career . these people who don’t even know how to hold a bat properly speak about him , he should have done this that , or india loses when he scores a hundred or other stuff. I do believe that everyone has their own opinion and I am not discerning their thoughts or criticizing any one .but all I have to say is just one thing and make a request to all these people who think that way .

Just look at your lives , You want a leave every sat , Sunday , govt holidays , you want to celebrate your festivals with Family , and leave your work aside , on the other hand , he served your country , no matter it was Diwali, Christmas , new year , and most importantly 3 days later his father passed away . just ask your self if you are ready to give that commitment to your work , career. He missed life with his family and so many other sacrifices , but all people want from him is to score a hundred everytime he bats.

Thers is some much to write and say , that I wont be able to cover up in just one blog.

So guys I would just request you to do one thing , #respectTheLegend if not for what he has done , then for atleast something you know you cant do.

Rahul Gandhi in his strongest attack on BJP prime ministerial candidate on his home turf on Tuesday has repeated the past by comparing Modi to Hitler.

Hitting straight on the ideology Mr. Gandhi said that a true leader is one who goes to people, not to give speeches but to listen to people.

Talking about leaders like Gandhiji and Hitler he said -- There are two kind of leaders, one who wants to understand people and has no pride, and others who believed there was no need to learn from the people and claim credit for everything.

Addressing a rally in Balasinor, he said "Taking away farmers' lands without any compensation is chori not chowkidari.

Mr. Gandhi said -- Thousand acres of land were taken without compensation but still there is no employment. He said Gujarat is shining but only for handful of industrialists who are shining like gold but the houses of the poor in Gujarat are still under dark.

Talking about the corruption he alleged BJP for corrupt ministers in cabinet which includes Karnataka ex-chief minister.

Taking a dig on Modi's unity project, the proposed statue of Sardar Patel, Gandhi said building a statue is fine, but people must know atleast 10-12 pages about Mr. Patel before doing it.

They (BJP) say they will erase the Congress, but do they realize who made the Congress. It was Gandhi and Patel together.

He said -- India doesn't need a security guard, people of the nation need their rights and in the same speech he said -- Hum Aapko apne ghar ka Chowkidar banana chahte hein.

Illustrating the benefits of MNREGA and Right to food he said BJP's main problem is Anger.

Somehow I personally feel that talking about programs like right to food, which will help 80 crore people can show a big picture, but money for such programme comes from Middle men pocket.

Even in his own speech he said - 70 crore people falls in a category between the BPL and middle class -- which means money for such programs will come from handful of persons.

So in a way such programs are a good gimmick to woo the voters but on actual grounds it won't serve the purpose.

Overall it was hard-hitting attacks which still lack the content.

Ways are different agenda is same but who will win this battle.

After the blot of pepper spray incident in Parliament, now the passage of Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha can be condemned as murder of democracy.

Telangana bill may or may not be fruitful to some but stopping the live broadcast is probably the worst that can happen with right of information. So tomorrow if someone asks: Hey listen we brought the RTI act then guys please be aware its only on papers nothing else. If the government is too scared in showing their true face to the nation while passing an important bill then such acts are of no use.

With more than 363 major political parties in India, lok sabha can only be governed by any single or a group of parties which can prove the majority of 272.

These 363 are from the group of 1534 political parties in India which are recognised by election commission of India in November 2013.

All political parties claim to represent the poor, because the poor are the most enthusiastic voters. When I was in my college days I have heard about freebies like Flour, TV, Sugar, Rice, Cycle, Laptop, Cloths etc etc but now as the time is revived so is the style -- now a days we are seeing a new Chai, Chaat, Khichdi and milk kind of campaigns to woo voters.

Each political party represents poor’s in terms of groups, grouses, castes and rivalries within them.

But have we ever realised why we have so many political parties in India and Is it good for government formation?

For more than two decades, Bihar politics is traditionally bipolar, where Mr. Lalu is on one end and all opposition parties are constituting the other end.

Though from last 2 consecutive terms RJD has been out of power in the State, but still due to Lalu’s strong personality, deep caste networks and a strong image among senior leaders, he remains in formidable force.

But with yesterday's incident, which actually was started on 14th Feb, it seems Lalu's era is over.

There were times when a political leader think twice before talking in front or about lalu ji, but now leaders like Samrat Chaudary, son of senior RJD leader Mr. Shakuni Chaudhary, alleged that he was camping in Delhi and ignored Bihar, he has turned the party into the "B" team of congress.

Yesterday 13 out of 22 MLA's have quit the party, almost close to 60% -- in my engineering days 40% was minimum passing marks.
