Cool Italian restaurant serving neapolitan pizzas in Midtown Manhattan. The margherita with sausage was really fn good, perfect dough and sauce. Just got better with each bite. Also tried the Montanara Startia, which featured lightly fried dough that is finished in the oven. Very unique, pillowy crust with tasty smoked buffalo mozzarella and also a great sauce. Would recommend to anyone staying in NYC and would definitely return!

Love at first bite! We went here and ended up sitting at the chef's table. Such a cool experience and vantage point. Can see the chefs prep and cook all the food. The food and service here is great. We ended up getting a few small plates and the sausage pizza. The pizza was great. Good crust and great mozz cheese and sauce. The other dishes here are amazing as well. Highly recommend coming here to try the pizza and the other dishes

I was impressed! Wasn't sure wat to think prior to coming...passed by this place so many times I can't even count. Got the spicy sausage pizza and loved it. Great crust and sauce. 1 pizza is more than enough for 1 person. I would def come back and would like to try the other pizza's. Outdoor seating, great lunch spot and good people watching

We loved this place - the space - but the pizza left something to be desired. This is a small, quaint and cool space. Feels like you're eating in someone's home. Only like 4 tables and a small bar with stools. The pizza options are astounding - really cool, organic, fresh ingredients. The crust however wasn't all that. Overall, the experience was amazing, but the pizza was decent. We would love to come back and try some other dishes as everything looked great.

Wow! We were shocked at the quality of the pizza here. First off, it is located in Fisherman's Warf (tourist aea of SF); second, we've never heard of it outside Yelp; third, it's not your typical restaurant - more of a food truck meets street food shack. Don't let Any of that deter you from coming here. We absolutely loved it! We got the Margherita pizza and the Caprese with fresh, local heirloom tomatoes pizza. Both were absolutely amazing. The crust was superb, the cheese and crust cooked to perfection. They have a small space to cook and only outdoor seating (but covered for unpredictable weather). The owners are so nice and love to interact with the patrons. This is a hidden gem that will soon be all the rage in SF regardless of location. The one thing I wish they had (and they said they are working on it) is a liquor license...cause you know, a beer and pizza is a perfect pair!

Let me tell you, this place is great. It just opened not too far down the street from me, and wow, finally some great Pizza in Park Slope that isn't 20 blocks away. The crust is a bit chewy for my personal taste, but I could tell that the ingredients were top notch and that is more of a personal preference than a criticism. The staff were SO NICE all around, cheerful and always ready to help and make recommendations. I can't recommend this place enough, I hope they have many years of great business in front of them!

Our first time here and very surprised in the quality and selection. We opted for the Tenderfoot, but got a great tip from a local to ask for tomato / pizza sauce on the Tenderfoot. Made a huge difference. Great crust and toppings. They also have a great selection of apps (the brussels sprouts are amazing!), wine and beer. Fun for groups and kid friendly. Even have a fireplace! Would love to go back and try some of the other pies.

Very good Neopolitan pizza. Had the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo, their signature Margherita - named after a hiking trail on nearby Mount Tamalpais (as are all of their pies). Pleasantly surprised by the firmness of the crust - not too soggy as many of the newer "fancy" Neopolitan pizza places can be. Great crust, loved the somewhat spicy sauce, and good cheese distribution. We had about 4 pizzas at our table, and the crowd seemed to enjoy them all. Would definitely return!

Decent at best. We stopped here on way to Santa Barbara but should have kept driving. The pizza was a thicker crust even though they said thin crust. The cheese all came off with 1 bite. The pepperoni was really good but wouldn't come back. You also have to order at counter they give you a number and they "serve" you.

Great food. Horrible place to work. The manager hires douchebags and then lets them run the store as they please, for the most part. He lets them give the handicapable a hard time and then pigeon holed me for being angry. The corporate end wasn't much help either, says one thing, does another. Try the Pear Primo next December.

From the man, the myth, the legend who brought you Tony's Pizzeria in North Beach...has done it again! This time with a new twist: Chicago style pizza. So 3 choices on most pizza's between: deep dish, pan crust and thin crust. We got the Deep Dish and loved it! I'm not normally a huge fan of deep dish, but Tony is the master and has crafted some wonderful deep dish pie's. The bar is really cool - they coin it as a whiskey bar. Great decor inside, but is small. So expect a wait during peak hours. We sat at the bar and had a blast. Great pizza, drinks and staff. We will definitely be going back once have the craving for deep dish again.

This relatively new pizza place in Mill Valley is a keeper! It is a chill atmosphere with sophisticated, yet still good, pizzas. The have a combination of unique toppings mixed in with the traditional recipes. It offers thin crust pizzas that can be folded or eaten with a fork. The side dishes and salads were good, although I haven't had too many. The brussel sprouts were delish! If you have kids, its perfect for you since they do have small tables for them to eat and hang out at. Adults, there is a bar you can belly up to and watch TV. The beer and wine list was decent. Not sure if they have alcohol, doubt it. Overall, I think this place is a popular spot in MV for a reason, it's good!

Cracker Crust Pizza with Tomato, Mozzarella, Fontina and Parmesan. Excellent very thin (obviously) pizza. Loved how the crust stayed crisp and kept it's shape. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Perfect portion size for one. I think i went in with extremely high expectations which is why I went with 4 rather than 5 stars. I'll definitely be getting this again, you can't go wrong.

We came here right from the airport to meet some friends, grab a drink and something to eat. Of course I opted for the margherita pizza. These are small pizzas, not meant to be shared...or if you do shared, but sure and get a few of them. The pizza was decent. Not enough mozz cheese, but the crust was excellent. The sauce didn't have a lot of flavor. However, what the pizza lacked in flavor, the restaurant made up for in style. Huge cool dining area. Also, outdoor seating with fire pits. Really fun.

Brought my Dad, my wife, and my 4 year old daughter to the Portsmouth location this past weekend. Pricey but pretty fantastic overall. So basic: pizza and salad pretty much 100% organic. Big wood fired oven in the middle of the room that the kids can sit in front of and watch the guy make pizza. Tables are very rustic / with a smattering of actual picnic tables. Fantastic beer selection – mostly local micros. they've also got organic juices for the kids and a chocolate milk that was so good it came out of a glass jar. we got a couple of the salads with goat cheese and the two pizza specials of the day: one was a broccoli w/ healthy dose of parmesan over an alfredo base. The other was a meat lovers with their home made sausage, nitrate free pepperoni, and a couple of other things over a red sauce. Damn good. wait staff was very friendly and knowledgable. all seem to have "bought in" on the concept and were seriously excited about the ingredients they had just bought at the Farmers Market and how they were being incorporated into that day's menu. overall it's highly recommended and we're looking forward to going back.

Love at first bite! Now I was going to give this place 4 stars as opposed to 5, but after thinking about Ragazza and the experience, I gave it 5 stars. The crust - my god the crust! This is what sold me for the extra star. So needless to say, the crust is amazing - not sure if they put extra butter or what in there, but sooo good. the cheese and sauce we perfect and as a whole, a perfect pie! The atmosphere is really cool too. Cool interior, and then they have a large deck out back with heat lamps. We got service outside and was just amazing. Definitely going back soon and can;t wait to try other pie's here.

Really good. Not your typical pizza. More like a flat bread crust, but perfectly cooked, great sauce and toppings. Great place for lunch. Be aware that the pizzas are small; one is good for 1 person.

Now we've heard a lot about this place so we thought we'd give it a try and were excited to go. We went at lunch time and eas to get a table. The atmosphere is cool - awesome chandeliers and tables. The pizza left something to be desired. We got the margherita and the breakfast pizza (eggs and bacon on top of pizza. Was good and the crust was great but I've had much better margherita. Good service and selection but was longing for more. Glad I went but won't go again if looking for awesome pizza.

After hearing so many rave reviews about the pizza, we finally ventured to 11th and Howard to see the what all the hype was about. I walked into this restaurant wanting to love the pizza. The restaurant space was very unique - it had a bare bones, minimalist feel that was centered around pizza making and a gorgeous wood fire oven. The menu is short and sweet, which I loved, there were only 5 or 6 pizza options available, one pizza size -12-inches only, served whole (not sliced), no substitutions or alterations allowed. We decided to go for the traditional Margherita Pizza, seeing as this place prides its self on offering best Neapolitan-style pizzas outside of Italy. The ingredients seemed to be extremely fresh and the service was great but overall I have to say I was a little disappointed. The pizza crust was a bit doughy and the pizza lacked the flavor that you would expect from an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza.

Wow - what can I say - I was expecting something totally different. I have heard a lot of people saying how good this place is, but nothing specific. So we walk in...does NOT look like a restaurant, more like a minimalist art gallery. Stark white walls, 30 foot ceilings, stone pizza over in the back middle of room and right in middle of room is a stand where a lone pizza chef rolls the dough, and has the 7 pizza ingredients where he makes pizza as ordered. On the left half of room - a handful of tables, on the right hand side NOTHING. And to top it off, on the stark white walls are only 4 very small pictures. The menu, only has a few selections - no salads, no apps, nothing buy 5 different types of pizzas and beer and wine. VERY limited selection. So we sit and order the margherita pizza and watch him make it. It was good, but the dough left a lot to be desired. A little too doughy. the sauce and the cheese was amazing. I would recco this place, but I wouldn't go here again...out of the way and it seems like its more of a 1 time deal.

Giorgio's "everything" pizza had a great ratio of sauce/cheese/toppings that made every bit fulfilling. Only downside was the price- let's just say I couldn't have bought a Pizza on Slicefinder's ad revenue The Mediterranean salad was large but really basic. Iceberg lettuce and way too much dressing.

I didn't know what to expect as this is a chain, but I was pleasantly surprised. We got the sausage, red pepper pizza. Perfect thin crust, excellent sausage and the peppers were really good. I liked the sauce and cheese. I would have liked bigger pizzas, but this was for happy hour so might have been smaller. The atmosphere is cool too. Outdoor seating, great views of the Bay and Bay Bridge. Great for groups and a full bar.

I was here for our annual Musky Marauder fishing trip. We come to the Black Oak every year for drinks after a long day of fishing. This however is the first time I tried the pizza. I gave it 2 stars as I really didn't expect the food / pizza to be amazing...which it wasn't...but it was about as good as i thought it might be. Thin crust, small pizza's and the pizza slices were cut into squares and not "slices". I was fine with that, but the cheese and sauce left a lot to be desired...however, the crust was really good. I'd stick to the beers at the Black Oak - fun place - food just leaves a little to be desired.

I went here after work for a couple beers, but walked out trying a new pizza - of which I didn't even know they served pizza. They only have a small margherita pizza and it wasn't terrible. When I say small, I mean serves 1 person and not even close to filling you up. Decent cheese and sauce at best. I would stick to the sandwiches there if you go.

I think I may have found my new go-to personal frozen pizza - The California Pizza Kitchen BBQ Chicken Pizza. Nice and thin with a crispy dry crust. The chicken tasted better than your typical frozen pizza toppings. Pretty small portion, but for about $3.75, this is a good staple. Will stock up on these!

While I didn't expect Kauai to have really good pizza, I was still a little hopeful. But I was sorely disappointed even after we were recommended to Tiki Man Pizza from several locals. But again, we are on Kauai and in Princeville at that, so choices were extremely limited. We ordered a large cheese pizza to go... but as the guy was ringing me up, he opens the box and starts pouring parmesan cheese all over our pizza! I couldn't believe it...off to a bad start. When we got back to hotel and busted open the box, the pizza was flimsy, the cheese (under all the parmesan cheese!) was flavorless and the sauce, decent at best. I wouldn't recco this place, but options are limited.

Best pizza on the island. Hands down. This is a new place from recent San Francisco chef Jim Moffat who was the head chef at both The Slow Club and 42 Degrees. He definitely does not disappoint here. Wow! We were blown away. We ordered the margherita pizza and was sooo good. Perfect crust, great sauce and the mozzarella was amazing. Would tell all my friends who would be traveling there to go here!! Outdoor seating is available as well as inside tables or at the beautiful bar. This is mostly a tapas plate so try some other things as everything we had was amazing.

We were recommended to this place via my gf' and her parents as well as a local family. Bev Gannon is well known and the food lives up to the hype. Her specialty / signature dish here is the crab pizza. Amazing!! Thicker crust, but great dough. The crab was amazing and we all loved it. Tons of other great selections and can sit at bar if you like. I highly recommend this place to any locals and visitors. Also - near airport if want to stop for food and / or drinks before long flight home.

Great delivery option! Love the crust, cheese and sauce. This is my go-to delivery pizza place in San Francisco. Pretty inexpensive, good selection of toppings and the delivery service has never been late. I've also bee to Victor's for a sit down meal. they have a lot of other options besides pizza, but the pizza is their specialty. Full bar when there in person. I highly recco Victor's!

Came here with a big group for a birthday party. Sampled a few pizzas, but I'll comment on the best one I tried - The Manilla Special (Linguica Sausage, Mozzarella Cheese and Tomato Sauce). Excellent thin and crispy crust. Great sauce and the right amount of cheese. Thinly sliced sausage, almost resembling pepperoni. There were some issues with the other pies I tried (the garlic overpowered the margherita, which was also sort of soggy), but this one was perfection.

We went here prior to a Giants game as is pretty close to the ballpark, but not as crowded as not mainly a bar... which is nice before a game. Now I've heard a lot about this place, but mailing it's sandwiches... which are supposed to be excellent. However, me being a pizza freak, I opted for the pizza... margherita at that. While I expected heaven on crust, I was disappointed. The crust left a lot to be desired (dry and hard) the mozzarella scarce and the sauce decent at best. We also ordered the meatballs and a caesar salad. The salad was BY FAR the best out of the 3. They do however have a great beer tap selection and from what I hear, the sando's are great. This being said, if you go to IRONSIDE try and sandwich.

Cool brewery in downtown Auburn. First off this place has excellent beer, which is obviously the main attraction. Tried the BBQ chicken pizza. Sadly, the pizza did not measure up to the beer. Very bland crust with little character. The chicken was good, but the sauce and cheese were concentrated to the middle of the pie creating poor distribution. I'd definitely be down to go back here, but next time I'll try a sandwich.

I was looking for a lunch spot near my office and as I'm passing the small farmers market at 1st and Mission notice a string a restaurants tucked between a few buildings. I did a double take at Cello. The name: Cello Kebob & Pizza. Ahhhh, definitely caught my attention, but not in a good way, more humorous. But they got me, I had to try. Inside it is counter style serving, but numerous tables. There is a decent pizza selection and then a huge selection of middle eastern dishes. Of course, me being a pizza fanatic (and since I'm reviewing this place) I elected to get a couple slices of pizza. I got 1 slice of cheese and 1 combo slice. the combo slice was actually pretty good - decent crust, decent sauce and the veggies and meat were good. the cheese however left a lot to be desired. Soggy and smelled a little weird. If it wasn't for the combo slice I would have gave this place 2 stars, but I'm a nice guy and gave it 3. Go here if Portico across the street is closed.

Believe it or not, this past week was my first time ever in Seattle and I loved it! Not only is the city cool and beautiful (yes it was sunny out), but it is a fantasy land for the taste buds! Great pubs, wine bars, restaurants and last and def not least pizza! Serious Pie was recco'd to us by a client and they hit it right on the head. Great thin crust pizza. Following the amazing gourmet pizza craze. Apps are amazing, but the pizza was even better. The place is small, but long shared / communal tables - makes it fun and interactive with others around you. Great service and suggestions by the staff. On thee way out the owner and staff all are super cool and ask about your pizza, experience. Great personal touch. Highly recommend this p.lace if in Seattle

Bland pizza with WAY too much crust. My first experience with "Chicago Deep Dish" left me unimpressed. Aside from being super thick, the dough tasted like it sat in a fridge for too long. You could get the same pizza from a HUT and pay half the price. =(

Excellent personal sized gourmet pizza. Very small restaurant (like 3 tables), but we did carry out. The crust makes this pizza. Very thin, just a little crispy, but also a soft center. Also loved the tangy, slightly spicy sauce. Did the margherita - and would do the same next time. Great stuff.

Went here with my family over the Christmas holiday and I have to say this place definitely brought on the holiday cheer. Beautiful, italian restaurant. Has a little wine bar in the front and a market that sells cheese, cured meats, breads and olives. The sights and smells in this place is wonderful and we haven't even sat down yet. The staff is very knowledgable and they have pairing suggestions for wine and pizza. The pizza is fabulous. This is not your typical pizza, it is of the gourmet trend sweeping the nation. The wood fire oven cooks the crust to perfection and the sauce is amazing. There is a wide range of choices for toppings / pies. I got the Salsiccia: tomato sauce, mozzarella and Italian sausage. The toppings were great and the cheese perfect. I would highly recommend this place to whomever is in the area

Pleasantly surprised with this local spot. Had the pepperoni - great tasting sauce and cheese. Pepperoni was spicy as well. Only complaint was the crust was a little doughy/undercooked, but it didn't take away from the overall experience, and it might be what they're going for. Not too many great pizza spots around these parts from what I understand, so this place was a nice surprise.

Walking around the Ferry Building in San Francisco has many advantages: incredible food, fresh produce, great wine, people watching, fun shops, gorgeous views of the SF Bay and now a great pizza stand in front! Don't get me wrong, this isn't a permanent fixture, but a traveling pizza stand (usually in front of Bay Area farmers markets). I got the classic, the margherita pizza. Cooked in a wood-fire oven. $8 for a personal pizza - not bad. The crust was superb! The sauce, amazing, the cheese was great. This place replaced Eataliano (or simply a name change). They serve very thin 9" personal pizzas. Had the plain cheese - at $2.50 this has to be the best pizza bargain in the Financial District. The pizza is pretty standard, by no means bad, a decent sauce, though the crust was a little under cooked. One thing you gotta like is they make each pizza as it's ordered, so you know it'll be fresh. All in all, you can't beat a $2.50 personal pizza! Will definitely be back.

The cheese was good and fresh tomatoes. All said, was good, but not great. Would recommend for the lunch and beers. Right off the beach and in a great town. Very tasty sauce. More than enough fresh pepperoni - piled high! On the downside, overpriced ($4/slice), and for rather small pieces. Other than that, great stuff!

I've heard so much hype about this place that it was hard to walk in without feeling like this better be the best pizza ever. I mean Obama was turned away as he didn't have reservations. We got there on a Sunday at 5:20pm...it doesn;t even open until 5:30...but there was still a line waiting 15 people deep. Tables are limited and reservations even more so. We got 3 pizzas: First the Salsiccia. WOW! This one was just amazing. The crust is sooo good. Perfectly cooked. The sauce was amazing and there was an oil or something on this pizza that was just incredible. It was my favorite of the 3. Next we for the Funghi pizza. This was also incredible. The mushrooms were fantasic and the sauce again and the crust were outstanding. Last was the classic...the Margherita. This one was the least impressive (although I usually use as my deciding factor on how good the pizza is). I think it was just sitting out longer than the others. Long story short - this place rules! I highly suggest coming here with a small group. Tables and space is ezxtremely limited and you will almost undoubtly be waiting...but well worth the wait.

Very tasty, slightly sweet and smoky. Extremely thin, almost cracker crust, great for folding. One pizza could almost be enough for two people if you add an appetizer or two. A fun restaurant with average to below average pizza. Sat in the open air backyard with a big group for a later night semi-drunken dinner. Cheese slides right off the sauce, which had very little flavor or tangyness. This is probably a 2 star pizza, but the restaurant vibe bumps it up to 3. Still, would I get it again if I was as drunk or drunker? Maybe.

I knew the place would rule, but I was seriously shocked at just how good the pizza was. We got the 4 cheese pizza and meatballs, but it took a while to decide becuase all the options looked awesome. Thin crust, cooked to perfection. The cheese, melts in your mouth (and not cause it scaulding hot), and the sauce, my god man the sauce!!!! This might be my favorite pizza joint in San Francisco. The beer / tap selection is limited, but what choices they have are great. they also have wine on tap! And great wine. Love this place and will recco it to everyone I know. My only complaint...a ton of kids were there. Might be the fact that we went at 6:15pm, might be the fact that it was in Pac Heights...but the screaming kids was the only negative about this place.

I had really high hopes of Portico - I've heard great things about the place and now my office is right next door. Huge place - lots of tables, great lighting and more of a cafateria style place than anything. There is a great salad bar, sando options and of course - pizza. The slices are huge - you can have 1 slice and should be good unless you are starving. I got the BBQ chicken slcie. Good crust, but a little dry. The toppings were good - not great. There is a large selection of toppings (ready made slices). This is a great place to go if rushed on time and want a slice to go. If you want to sit down and check out the other food here - I would definetly suggest trying one of their sandwiches - large selection and delicious. I will def go back here for pizza, but only when in a rush or just want to grab a slice for on the go.

Personally, i wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone...the food isnt that great and its highly overpriced... Ever since worthens left the pizza has went down the crapper. Most of the food isnt fresh its frozen, and the appetizers cost as much as entres. The owner isnt too friendly and minors frequent the bar often. The owner had a feud with my brother and on occasion has treated me and a few other people like dirt.... even though i was loyal to the bar for years because i supported local business.. Occasion i have caught them overcharging people on drinks when they are drunk...one occasion i was sold a long island iced tea for $7 dollars then a few hours later the owner served me and charged me 10$.. You guys need to learn to treat customers with respect.

Normally I wouldn't review a place this far removed from a "pizza restaurant", but after trying I felt I must. Topped with short-ribs, sharp cheddar, charred onions and cilantro. Never had a pizza with ribs - amazing! Very rich and full of flavor. The crust was thin and crispy. This place is Michelin rated, so you should expect awesomeness, but typically high end non-pizza focused places try and fail. Not so here!

Long behold, down some dark streets we run into a lone, open pizza joint. The place is empty and the 2 owners are behind the counter watching some asian TV show. The smell hits you instantly - ahh, sweet mop water. No matter, we are starving. We find out they only have 2 slices left and there are 4 of us. Tony's...this one is tough for me. Probably a classic case of too much hype to rise up to. Don't get me wrong, this place rocked, but I came in with expectations way over the top. Overall, this was a great authentic Italian pizza. The margherita was very flavorful with the freshest ingredients, yet dare I say, a little too soft/floppy for me. But I should mention, this pizza style falls into a category that doesn't quite suit my tastes - so I'll keep it light. Liked, didn't love. Judge this SF staple for yourself. This is a great place tucked away in the seedy Tenderloin district. Great place for happy hour and to get stabbed on the way in and/or out. This place is a little out of the way, but worth it. Cool atmosphere and bar. And the owner of this place, none other than the famous Franz...used to own the Curve Bar (now O'Reilly's by AT&T Park) and Plouf in Beldon Alley. The wine selection is broad and all (that I tried) were great. Now comes the best - the pizza! Great selection of pie's to choose from. We got the Pep / Sausage and spicy chicken. Both excellent. Great crust (thin) and the toppings were fresh and it shined through int he taste. I highly recco this place to anyone in this hood (good for after work and large groups).

Perfectly spread out cheese - no bare spots - and the flavor of the sauce mixed with the cheese was divine. Great tap selection from Belgian beers to great Norcal IPA's and local breweries. A couple blocks from the 24th St BART and lots of cool bars to go to afterwards.

This is the best thin crust pizza not only in Hot Springs but in the world. It is also the best Italian food I have had outside of Rome which is where I am from. The owners are Italian from what I can see. The restaurant is also nice. They have two in Hot Springs. A nice surprize for me. Who knew you could find this great food in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This may be the worst pizza I've had yet in San Francisco. Their business cards say "Pomodoro Gourmet Pizza". I don't know what they consider gourmet, but it is completely different than my idea of gourmet pizza. We got 2 slices of pepperoni and 1 slice of the BBQ chicken pizza. Te slices are big, I'll give them that, but all he did was take a cheese slice that was already cooked and then threw some pepperoni on it. He obviously wasn't paying attention, cause I also got some mushrooms as an "added bonus" on the slice - WTF! The slices were bland, chewy and just outright horrid. I couldn't even finish my second slice it was so bad. About half way through eating, we could smell weed streaming out from the kitchen...so I guess I know why I got some mushrooms on my pepperoni slice...

Excellent thin crust pizza. The toppings were amazing. Cheese was perfect and the crust was divine. Great place for lunch or dinner. Not cheap, but worth it. The one complaint - it took 35 minutes to get my pizza! I had the Pizza Inferno: red bell peppers, chili flakes, spicy green peppers, sausage and onions.

This pizza took a couple times to grow on me. Trader Joe's Pizza Olympiad with fire roasted peppers, kalamata olives, topped with feta and mozzarella cheese. While the crust doesn't offer much, the olives and peppers make up for it. The toppings add so much great flavor. 2 per frozen box. Each pizza can be a meal, but 2 if you are really hungry will do it. It's also only $3.99 for 2 pizzas. Great deal.

If you are coming for pizza or drinks - SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! $5 Menu all day! $5 glasses of wine (great wine), $5 app and $5 pizzas. A whole pie for $5. I prefer the chicken pesto and the plain cheese, but the others are good as well. Also - a jazz band plays there every Sunday. This is one of the best, hidden gems in San Francisco on Sundays.

Named after exactly who you would expect, Dimaggio's offers much more than pizza...mainly an all day happy hour on Sundays with a delectable variety of $5 apps and wines by the glass. The pesto chicken pizza here is ridiculous - I'm actually not a huge fan of chicken pizzas mostly cuz the chicken chunks usually take over the slices, but they execute this one perfectly. Eaten here 4 time over the last year. Recommended to friends & family. Atmosphere OK, nothing more than a dark college-style sports bar, BUT I GO THERE FOR THE PIZZA! thank you to the family that owns this Reno eatery. The Sign says original goes back to the 70's. This fancy new restaurant serves thin crust, wood fire oven gourmet pizzas. It also features a large wine selection and other Italian dishes. We tried the sausage and tomato pizza and the margherita. Both were great, leaning toward the sausage/tomato. The only drawback I found was the crust was a little floppy/wet, it lacked some crispiness - but great flavors and sauce made up for it. It combines razor thin crust with a mountain of toppings - it is so delicious and the slices are so huge, you can probably only eat about 2 slices. If you get the pizza to go, they wrap it in wax paper around the top and the grease comes through the top, which lets you know you're in for a treat. There is no way you could eat this pizza too often though, because it literally is a heart attack on a plate that will have you pounding your chest and saying "Ditka" just like the Chicago Superfans in no time.

By far, my FAVORITE pizza place in Alexandria thus far. I've been getting pizza from these guys for about 5 years and it is wonderful every time. Good consistency that passes my tests everytime. Those 3 tests are: 1) Grease test - are there little pools of grease on the slice? If so, then you know the flavor is baked in. 2) The fold test - can you fold the slice in half? If the pizza is overcooked then the bottome will be burnt and you won't be able to fold it. 3) The cheese test - is it very cheesy? If a strand of cheese is hanging from the slice, can you "flip" the slice so that the strand flips up and onto the slice? This demonstrates good consistency in the cheese. The only drawbacks I have to these guys is that they have a minimum amount when you order, so generally one pizza won't be enough to qualify for the minimum. Also, their drivers never seem to have change for a 20, which can get kind of annoying.

I'm not a huge fan of deep dish pizza, but they do it right here. Thick, perfectly cooked crust. Thick layer of cheese and tomato sauce, this was a great pizza. Expect a wait here as this is in the heart of Hayes Valley and the place isn't huge. You can however order some beers while waiting - decent tap beer selection. If your looking for a great deep dish pizza, this is a perfect choice. The thin crust looked amazing, but can't speak for it as we didn't try.

Leone's offers a good slice of Sicilian pizza. At under $2, it's a great bargain. The sauce was flavorful, loaded with cheese, and on a nice thick square slice of pizza. The only knocks are the slice is definitely on the heavy side, and the slice needed to be served hotter.

I just finished the New York Pizza Tour '09, and on the way home, we stopped at Pepe's. I heard rave reviews about Sally's and Pepe's but I was skeptical. Could this place in New Haven compare with some of the best pizza in New York City I had the day earlier? Probably not, right? Wrong, Pepe's is legit. My uncle, aunt, and I ordered a medium vegetarian pizza but we did some maneuvering with the ingredients to create a vegetarian pizza masterpiece. We left out the spinach and broccoli, and just ordered onions, mushrooms, and roasted peppers on the pizza. You got to order the roasted peppers, so good. If you are a cheese pizza purest, I'm not sure how this would compare with other topnotch cheese pizzas, but if you are into vegetable toppings, I highly recommend the pizza we ordered. A medium pizza was a good size for us, and not only is the pizza delicious but it is affordable.

The pizza was horrible, the place stank like mildew and there was barely any cheese on my pieces! I will never come back here. This place is really small, only about 4 tables, so expect a wait. It is worth the wait though. Thin crust pizza that will put a smile on your face and keep you wanting more. Margarita pizza is what I got and once done, I could have gotten more. Service was cool - waitress was pretty good looking :)

Tony's just opened in a great location in the heart of North Beach, but for some reason this building always seems to leave the tenants...well broke. There have been multiple restaurants in the past 2 years here, but I think Tony's is here to stay. Authentic, award winning Italian pizza's made in their wood burning brick oven. We had the margarita pizza and the prosciutto pizza. Both were awesome. Thin crust, Great sauce and the service was amazing. The only thing we didn't like was the beer selection...Coors Light at a nice pizza joint? Really? I would highly recommend Tony's to anyone looking for a great pie in SF.

When I was a young, poor lass living in NYC, I used to frequent this spot. It was right down the street from my work so when I was cutting it close to not making my rent, I came here for their lunch special, which was a slice and soda for $2. You couldn't beat it. I basically lived here towards the end of every month and the pizza is not bad. Nothing great but not bad. Their pasta, however, is so bland...I used to get their ziti and had to drown it in parm. Having lived in San Francisco the past five years, you can get the multiple topping pizza fix from Escape of New York Pizza but don't waste your time as that pizza isn't that good. Fly cross country and get a slice from Antonio's Pizza. Grab a slice or two of Buffalo Chicken Pizza or Chicken Quesadilla Pizza, and you can't go wrong. For $6.25 you are pretty full after two of those slices.

I had forgotten all about this little Nob Hill gem until I was reminded by my hermit neighbor who, despite staying up all hours of the night moving furniture around for no particular reason, is quite the pizza fanatic (delivery of course). Anyhow...Victor's is a solid, straight forward, and predictable pizza. I love the crispy crust as it's not too thin and not too thick and doesn't resemble the tase of cardboard in the least (which seams to be the common theme in SF pizza's). Their pizza sauce, which couldn't be anything other than homemade, has a really good zest to it. I'm a huge veggie fan myself so the real test is if the veggies arrive crisp and fresh or mushy and brown and I'm happy to report that the viggies passed the test. It's not quite 5 stars in my book, but you better believe I'll be ordering from Victors again in the very near future.

A close second to Pagliacci on the Eastside, in a family-oriented mall foodcourt. Friday and Saturday nights have (usually) good live music and you eat at plastic tables surrounded by multiethnic families with loads of kids and folks from nearby assisted living facilities with caregivers. Nothing hip here. But the crust is good, could be thinner, cheese pizza is a good slice when it's fresh, as is the artichoke pesto slice. Sometimes they get grumpy when you ask for a slice to be reheated. Calzones are good here, starring the good crust, cheesy filling, sauce on the side.

This has been our favorite frozen pizza so far. As a cheese pizza purist, I like the crust, the sauce seasoning, and almost the cheese. There is a cheese in the mixture I don't care for. But it's close enough, quick to heat, inexpensive, organic, etc. Of course, then I have a slice of fresh pizza and it doesn't seem so great. But can't beat it for the convenience. Better than most of the other cardboard stale bread frozen pizzas out there.

This place is so great! They have great pizza and just remodeled to offer an amazing atmosphere, as well! Really good baked subs and the ice cream desserts are great. They sell pizza by the slice during lunch, they serve beer and wine and they even have 6-packs of beer available for take-out with your pizza! My kids absolutely love the "make your own pizza" where they bring a small pizza dough, one topping, cheese & sauce and the kids can make smiley faces or whatever. Their pepperoni is fabulous and their breadsticks are amazing! We go there for dinner at least once a month. It's located in downtown Midland. Try it!

Definitely would work for a drunken late night delivery.

Wow! I wasn't expecting much, but got an incredible pizza experience for brunch. Rose's is one of those cafe's everyone talks about, but I never went to. Now I know why everyone talks about it. Great outdoor seating (great people watching) and the pizza is amazing! Thin crust and they have unusual toppings. We got 2 different kinds due to being overwhelmed by the menu and not wanting to leave one of the 2 great pizza choices untouched. We got the smoked salmon with over-easy eggs for one choice; and then the prosciutto with scrambled eggs. I can;t really compare the 2 against each other, but I can say they were both amazing. I came in with low expectations and walked out full and Very happy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a not-so-ordinary pizza experience.

Without going into specifics - no es bueno. One note - there's chewy crust, and then there's cardboard. Try the burger.

You can sit inside or outside (which was great last week cause it was hot in SF last week). The pizza is decent, wasn't overly impressed. What really spawned me to only give 3 stars was the service. I was at a lunch meeting and the pizza took like 35 minutes to be served! I mean, come on. It was Italian style, thin crust, a little flaky, and the sauce was decent. I would keep walking and look for other places if I were you

I have been wondering what all the hype is about this place and now I know. Fantastic pizza and the drinks are amazing (alcoholic ones that is). The staff is incredibly nice and they are great at helping pick the right dish and drink for you, that's if you can;t decide yourself. The menu is small, but everything looked amazing and the pizza was perfect. Thin crust, only serve pizza's, no individual pieces. I highly recommend Beretta to anyone looking for a great lunch, dinner and / or drinks.

Living in North Beach, I have a plethera of good pizza options, however this happens to be right around the corner and has a lovely view of the park. The pizza is okay, very thin crust, light sauce, and pretty decent the next day. My roommate had their caprese panini, and upon seeing it, I quickly regretted my choice. I will probably come back to this restaurant, but for their panini's not their pizza.

Just a few bites in on a cheese slice at the Baltimore airport, a couple walking by asked "how's the pizza?" which forced a quick on the draw review. "It's alright..." then as they walked to the counter I added "decent...nothing great". That pretty much sums it up - the "NY Cheese" was soft and floppy. The cheese was decent and seasoned well which helped. The couple opted instead for Arby's. Good call.

Probably my favorite pizza in the bay area. Although I must admit that the last time I ate there, it was way too sauce heavy. Too many tomato chunks. The caesar salad is also amazing, and if you like anchovies, you should definitely ask for it on the side. You can't go wrong with this place and it's even been featured on the Food Network's Top 10 pizzas in the US. Not too shabby. The only thing that is a downfall is the wait, which can be up to an hour on a busy night. Double whammy- the pizza also takes about half an hour to cook, so sometimes they take your order ahead of time while waiting for a table. That's when you should try the ridiculously good caesar salad.

Rocco's is pretty much a staple for any sports team in the WC area. They have such great deals such as $5 for any large pizza for softball team players every night of the week, which is awesome!! They have a huge space which comprises of a dining area, bar/ cocktails section, and a private dining area that can be rented out. For some reason it's kind of a see be scene crowd for locals, as every time I go in there I always run into some random person I haven't seen in ages. So for the pizza.... it's usually pretty good, however very inconsistent which earned it a 3 star rating. Let's focus on the good, shall we? I have eaten here for several years, and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza is my favorite. They use the smaller pepperoni that curls up and gathers the grease into a nice little cesspool of cholesterol, but hey, we all know that's where the flavor comes from. Nothing a napkin can't fix. However this may also be the achilles heel of the pizza, as sometimes it will make the whole thing soggy. It is a very delicate tango. Overall, the place has really come a long way and is a great place to go for a large group of people. It may also help that they are one of the few bars in WC that carry Fernet. Check it out!

Jamal sat and conversed with us and we all felt somewhere far away, in this very comfortable pizza cafe. I can safely say that all of us were extremely pleased. If you find yourself in the Marina or Cow Hollow late and craving Pizza, skip the other joints and go visit Jamal.

This is where it all began - my journey to find the worst slice of pizza in all of California. Seemingly innocent enough, Presto Pizza is a nice looking joint in the drug buying district of downtown LA. For about $7.50 you get two slices, a salad (technically), and a soda of your choice. Sadly enough, giving them money is actually the BEST thing that will happen to you at Presto - it's all downhill from there. The slice itself was an abomination - let's start with the sauce. Pizza sauce is pretty simple, correct? Throw in some tomato paste, some magic shit, and boom - it's universally good. My homeboys at Presto seem to disagree with convention, and put as much oregano in the sauce as sauce itself. I'm trying to be clever here, but fuck it - the sauce tastes like shit. Shit with oregano stirred in for good measure. The pepperonis tasted like I'd sliced a thin layer of skin from the underside of my nutsack off and sprinkled pubic dandruff liberally. You don't have pubic dandruff? The dough wasn't even bread - in fact, I'm not even sure what I ate was pizza. I'm not even sure this place exists, and honestly, I hope it doesn't. This place was a great find. I love all of the food. The name doesn't tell you the full story. The pizza and calzones are amazing, but the rest of the Italian food Pizza Bona serves up is outstanding. As for the dessert, my sister put it best when she said "This is the best tiramisu I've ever had, and I've been to Italy!" This place is conveniently located in the medical center and the service is fast and extremely friendly. I've only visited the place twice and the owner already knows me by name. It's a very welcoming environment and the food is great! You should check it out if you're in the area. In fact, you should probably go out of your. They also have free Wi-Fi which is quite convenient.

Totino's is cheap, but I liked it. I had the sausage, pepperoni mix and thought the crust was crispy, brittle and tastes good. The cheese and the sauce are decent, but overall it wasn't that bad, especially for the price: $3.50 (for the 10.7 oz.). I'm not full, but was a good starter. Takes only about 15 minutes to cook and can eat in slices or whole. This isn't my favorite, but I enjoyed it.

Zachary's deep dish is an east bay classic. I can't tell you if it is authentic Chicago style or not, but I can tell you that it is good. The deep dish features fresh tomatoes piled high on top of layers of cheese and toppings. Two slices will have you stuffed. I highly recommend the sausage and bell pepper pizza with a pint of beer. This place is always crowded, and there is usually a wait, but kick back with a pint of beer and the wait will be worth it.

In a way, Z's deep dish pizza is in a class by itself: chunky tomatoes in the excellent sauce, a crust that stands (literally) on its own. I'm a fan of the basic cheese. 2 slices is a meal by itself, and the rest will be remarkably good the next morning--cold or reheated!

Woodstock's is definitely a Davis institution. The location and set up make it a great spot for a slice and a beer. One of the best features of their pizza is the option for a whole wheat crust. Surprisingly, it's a very soft, tasty crust that's complimented by a sort of tangy sauce. Good selection of toppings, sides, and salads, though their prices are a bit high. But no doubt solid pizza (and great for hangovers!).

Wow - that's all I have to say. Great pizza and a cool staff to wait on you. This is one of the better pizza's I've had in San Francisco. Good location as it is downtown. Perfect for a quick lunch and great for going here after work with friends for some drinks and pizza.

I've heard great things about Za, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. They serve large, thin crust slices with corn meal on the bottom. The cheese is decent, but they have good sauce. This is a small space with only a couple choices for tap beer, none of which is great. You can sit at the counter or at a table inside or on the sidewalk. This is the only place that sells pizza in the immediate area, so if you are craving pizza in this neighborhood, this is your only choice - decent, not great.

Golden Boy is a San Francisco landmark. You can see Golden Boy from down the street due to its neon red and green finger sign pointing you right to it. This is not your average slice though. They make their pizza on thick focaccia bread. Inside is a long narrow bar where you can sit and have a slice or 2. They only offer a few beers on tap, but they are all great. This place does get really packed on weekend night. There is usually a line out the door and the people here are usually drunk and loud. The sauce and cheese is perfect. I highly recommend Golden Boy to everyone!

THICK! If there had to be one word to represent this pizza, Thick would be it. It would have to be thick as the name of the restaurant has Chicago in it. Old Chicago is great for large parties as it is a huge space and has multiple rooms. The exposed brick gives a warm feeling and the staff is great. I really like Fly Bar and you wouldn't think of Fly as a place with good pizza or having pizza at all, but it is decent. Thin crust and decent sauce. I recommend this place for people looking to get together for some drinks and you have the option of decent pizza.

What a find! Though I was beyond starvation from the moment I walked in to Zeeks I must say I was quite impressed with the overall quality and taste of Zeek's Pizza! Their crust was a little thicker than normal, but nothing crazy like Chicago style, it was crunchy but yet not too hard as there was still some doughy consistency to it as well. When you order your pizza they ask how spicy you like the toppings on your pizza - on a scale of 1 - 5. Since we were still recovering from a long night of alcohol consumption we opted for a 2 which still had quite a kick to it, which is quite exciting as I'm a huge fan of spicy foods (imagine what a 5 would be if a 2 was making us guzzle our water down!)! Finally the toppings: fresh, delicious veggies and meats, and the cheese was perfectly melted over the fresh tomato sauce with out taking over the whole essence of the pizza. They had great salad selections which were all really tasty with generous amounts of veggies and toppings...love it! They get 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was absolutely horrendous! We went around 5pm...and we didn't get our salads or drinks until 5:40. There was no excuse for such bad service...other than that their pizza's great! Oh, and they only serve by the slice until 4pm!

I had a good feeling about this place when for a small slice shop they had no problem delivering to my apartment several neighborhoods away (thank you very little Za Pizza). The fact that I only ordered one large cheese from this distance didn't seem to bother them one bit either...and even arrived in a mere 35 minutes. Interesting pizza - not very thin, average thickness. Nicely seasoned, I didn't need to add anything to it. Good size pie too, cut into many small slices. Chewy crust, interesting sauce, great cheese. Not making my top 3 in SF, but well above the average in these parts. This pizza has character, definitely gonna get it again.

They allow kids here, which hurts, but I like to earmuff it and drown them out with a nice tall beer. They have a killer egglplant salad. It's heaven. The eggplant pizza is also heaven-sent. I can't recall what other pizza I've had here. Just stick with my recommendations. Eggplant eggplant eggplant. Xtra beer for each additional kid...

I used to work near this area and South Beach was one of my fave lunch spots. They have small, individual sized pizza. I don't think that they have large pies that you can pick up and take out. They offer a nice variety of toppings. My go-to is the bruschetta pizza. It's so freaking good. Come to think of it, that's the only type of pizza I've ever had here. Hmm. They have a little outdoor space but also spots to sit indoors. I am scared of one of the guys that works here.

Call me crazy but I love Extreme Pizza. My favorite is the Holy Cow with Fontina, Swiss, gorgonzola, mozzarella, roasted walnuts and freshly cut sage. Two employers ago, we used to always have "pizza lunches" to celebrate birthdays from the month. After working there for 6 years, I have eaten my share of pizza from different places in the city and would have to say this is one of my favorites. I met up with a friend who had a limited lunch break, and even though I knew that takes a while to bake, but I still wanted deep dish pizza in Chicago. This restaurant had a lunch special for $6.99 for an individual pizza. I thought, what a great deal. But when I wanted to customize my order, the waiter informed me, that if I wanted to make any changes, it would take 30 minutes longer. With the time constraint, I decided to just go along with the basic cheese and spinach on the menu. When the pizza finally came I was sorely disappointed. My friend and I both ordered off the lunch menu and agreed that this place was not worth the hype. My pizza tasted like it was premade, then frozen and then popped into the oven. I was expecting a thick crust of buttery goodness, but it instead ended up being very dry and not good. If I ever give this place another chance, I will have to forgo the "special" and hope their other pizzas taste better.

Search no further. If you're looking for the best deep dish pizza in Chicago run to Gino's East. Although the city has multiple locations, you have to go to the original restaurant. This restaurant was actually the second place I went to in order to get some good pizza. Our first place was quite disappointing and I didn't want to leave the city without having good pizza. I heart Beretta! I have to breakdown this review b/c I have too much to say: *The Food: Delicious. Started with the fritto misto de pesce. Yummy fried goodness but surprisingly not heavy. Had the sausage pizza which was thin and yummy. It kind of tasted like a mix of sweet and spicy sausage. Loved it. *The Atmosphere: They have a long bar along one wall, tables along the other and then communal tables in the center. The wait is long if you want a table (only take reservations for parties of 6+) but the communal tables were fine. This place is open til 1am every night. Godsend... *The Service: I'm a sucker for good service and it's the best here. Our appetizer took longer than expected so they gave us a free one while we waited. Then it came out the same time as our pizzas, which I honestly didn't mind. They comped our appetizers and were so polite that it honestly made up for it. I freaking love this place!

CPK frozen pizza is definitely one of the better frozen pizza's out there. This thin crust is great. Brittle, yet not to brittle. The BBQ chicken is their best, second only to the pepperoni and sausage. One won't fill you up, but is a great starter or if sliced up great apps at a party. They are on the more expensive side (when it comes to frozen pizza), but I think worth it.

This is in the category of gourmet pizza, think Little Star or Paulines. Here we have authentic Neopolitan pizza, made by an Italian chef who knows what he's doing. No reservations for parties under 6, and this place is quite popular, so be prepared to wait. A fun, loud atmosphere, we opted to sit at the communal table as soon as we arrived as opposed to waiting for an hour and 15 minutes for our own table. The pizza is really good - thin chewy crust. Tried the Margherita and Italian Sausage - the sausage was really good. Only reason I didn't go to 5 stars is I'm rating it against other gourmet pizzas - and it was right up there with the rest, but didn't blow me away. Oh, another nice feature, they serve food and cocktails (including full bar with exotic drinks) until 1 AM every day - nice to see that in SF. Also our server was fantastic!

A great little place in downtown Sheboygan. Thin crust pizza with a marvelous array of ingredients. Great atmosphere - good for families in the early evening, great for older guests as the evening wears on. This information just posted about Il Ritrovo: a combination Neopolitan pizzeria and Italian specialty store, opened in 2000. IL Ritrovo recently became the fifth member of the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association, a prestigious organization based in Naples entrusted with protecting the methods and ingredients used in making the famed Pizza Napoletana.

I'm gonna agree with Greg on this one...their crust is somewhat bland. But that's where is stops. I would order RT way more often if they weren't so over priced...their pizza's really good with a huge selection of toppings and creative pies that go beyond "pepperoni and cheese" ...boring!! They have great salads (coming from a big salad lover) and they're pretty speedy on their delivery.

Some lady "coming" out of this slice shop told me that this was the best pizza she ever had! I should have guessed she worked there, pretending to be a customer. It is thin crust, but no flavor! It is also in the tourist section of San Francisco - in the Warf. That should have been tip #1 that this place will suck ass. I think the pizza had been sitting under the hot lamp all day. They throw it in the over when I ask for it and a little soggy and very little cheese. They should be ashamed to even call this place a pizza joint. And as for their "marketing" techniques - well it worked. But will not get a repeat visit.

I'm gonna go with 3.5 stars here as they're not quite deserving of my 4 stars, but I really do like their slices. Their delivery is ok if you live in North Beach...you're looking at over an hour on any given day. Other than that I like their thicker crust and the toppings are plentiful and fresh!

This place F'in rules! It is a little pricey, but it is worth it. They deliver too. The topping selection is huge. So whether on a date or just looking for something different, there is something for everyone. I've heard people compare this place with Zachary's, but it's not that good. Delivery here is key though. Good selection of beers and toppings (once again with the toppings). I normally do not get a bunch of toppings, but it is nice to have the option.

Ahhh, Chicago pizza. How could you go wrong at a place called Pizza Chicago? I really enjoyed going here. I went with 2 friends and we were all happy and left content. Incredible! This might be the best pizza in the world! It is the best pizza I've had on the west coast. I normally go for thin crust. Zachary's is THICK crust though. North Beach Pizza, ahh what to say. I live in North Beach, so I should love it right? Wrong. North Beach Pizza always smells incredible when walking by on a way to a local pub for a beer or whatever. Once inside though, the pizza is always disappointing. The sausage never seems to be fully cooked. The crust is too doughy. The cheese always falls off. They don;t sell slices. No hard alcohol. What do they have? Beer and a great location.

I have always liked Pizza Orgasmica, but not crazy about it. I don't really like the corn meal on the bottom of the crust. I do like the fact that they serve thin crust ad the staff and service is usually good. They deliver on time when called. Pepperoni is the best choice here in my opinion.

Ahhh, memories! This used to be my local hang out in High School. Two of my best friends back then - Trevor Waugh and Brent - used to work there. They weren't the only reason I hung out here. The pizza is great and they serve killer sando's. Thin crust pizza and can buy just slices or whole pies.I highly recommend you stopping here and grabbing a couple slices if for some god-awful reason you are in Mendon, NY. My old stomping grounds!! Like many pizzerias (and this place's name used to be simply, "Pizzeria"), Big Louie's makes a pie that should be eaten inside the restaurant if at all possible. Not that it's horrible when delivered...not at all. But one of the best things about Big Louie's is the crust. Dense yet crispy at the bottom, this is one of the top pizzas I've ever eaten, but it must be hot. As much as I love Big Louie's, don't eat it straight from the fridge the next morning (pop it into the oven for five minutes instead). There are other reasons to visit Big Louie's as well if you are a Eureka resident or just driving through town on HWY 101. Their beer selection isn't just extensive, focusing on some of the best representatives from microbreweries throughout Humboldt County (Steelhead, Great White, Downtown Brown, etc.), it's also cheap. We're talking $2 to $3 a pint. Big Louie's also has the best lunch special around, $5.99 for unlimited pizza, salad and soda, and the pizza is plentiful and varied. Once you're done with that slice of pepperoni, the combo comes out. Then the veggie, the Hawaiian, the plain cheese...

Although Little Star is still great, it's slipped a bit in recent months. The last time we went, we were told that the wait would be about 20 minutes. After waiting close to an hour and half, we finally got our table. Thankfully, we knew exactly what we wanted by that point, so we were eating soon after. They have their off-nights quality-wise, but it's usually very good. If you're a crust fan, you'll be in heaven the first time you taste their buttery cornmeal offering.

The crust can be a bit undercooked, with cheese that slides off the when you pick it up. Delivery is pretty weak, too, you're better off just picking up a few slices yourself.

Despite the fact that I cracked a tooth here (the owners were great about it), I really like the pizza here. The potato and roasted garlic pizza is excellent, as is the pesto. The crust is nice and thin, crispy but never crunchy. The only real drawback is the locale, as that section of the Upper Haight can be kind of gross (I've seen some nasty people in there!).

One of the best pizzas I've ever had was at celebrity chef Mario Batali's restauant. The crust is thin and crispy with prominent air bubbles that make it seem even thinner and crispier. There are some great combinations of topping, from the proscuitto and leek offering to the fennel/sausage blend. It's definitely pretty pricey, but well worth it.

If you live or vacation around Lake Sunapee, there's a good chance that you've visited a Pizza Chef at least once. The crust is nice and crispy, and the cheese is nicely browned, although sometimes there's a little too much sauce. There are also some great non-pizza options on the menu, with the Greek salad and chicken cutlet sub as particular standouts. There aren't a lot of other pizza plaes in the area, so this one's a no-brainer. The New London location isn't quite as good as the one in Sunapee...

Chunky tomatoes, tons of cheese, and a cornmeal crust that stays crispy. The spinach & mushroom is a classic. I prefer the deep dish, but the thin crust is a tasty treat as well. For a healthier meal try the whole wheat crust. Beware: this place is ALWAYS busy. Be prepared to wait around for a while. Try ordering pick-up either fully baked or half-baked and finish it off at home.

I added this place because people from the west coast seem pretty passionate about it, and we don't have it back east. For the record, I am no pizza elitist, I call upon Dominos when the mood strikes. After a few tries, I'm neither loving or hating it. The crust is like regular bread - quite bland...and I like bland. Also they are pretty light on the sauce, but heavy with the cheese, which is opposite for my tastes. I will say one time it had more sauce and less cheese, which bumped it from 2 to 3 stars. For a regional chain, his place has nothing on Papa Gino's!

This place is the tits!!! It is a local co-op bakery that serves ill pizza and other delicious baked treats. The place is clearly run by communists and I mean that in a nice way (all bakers are communists / anarchists at heart) and that fact that it is also a co-op puts the counter-culture quotient through the roof. If you roll in reading The Communist Manifesto or The Idiot you get a free slice, not. Arizmendi's has a crazy selection of slices, but only makes one kind per day, so check the menu online; it is usually updated at the beginning of the week. I would have given this place a half star but I had to round up to a full 1. This place BLOWS. They claim it's "NY Style" but don't be fooled by their deceptive marketing. It sucks. It's burnt. It's always at least $20. Save yourself and go eat a Bagel Bites or Stouffers or some frozen stuff...it's better than this pathetic excuse for what they claim is pizza.

This is my favorite place for a lunch pizza. The plain cheese pizza is so good that I don't even bother with adding additional toppings. The ingredients are just so flavorful. For a little less than $10, you get the biggest and best individual size pizza I've had so far in the city.

Stella Doro Pizza grew on me with time when I lived in the Western Addition area and started ordering more and more pizza from these guys. One of my roommates and I would often split a one topping carry out special at Stella Doro's and I would often stop in for a quick slice or two. Maybe my pizza slice standards have declined but at this point I enjoy eating the pizza and think it's good. Though I still have my senses and realize that this pizza would be probably a 1 or 2 in NYC. As far as a small neighborhood pizza place, friendly staff, decent pizza, and a business I like to support.

I can imagine some people liking Dino's Pizza a lot where others might prefer eating cardboard. It really depends on how you define a good pizza. I enjoyed the pizza overall. The cheese on the pizza is excellent, just the right amount of cheese and tasty. The sauce is also good. Where it gets more difficult in rating the pizza is the crust and crispiness of the slice of pizza. The pizza and crust are crispy. Some pizza goers might prefer a semi crisp pizza and chewy crust so before making the decision to try or not try Dino's, ask yourself one question .....Do you like Celeste frozen pizza? If you are one of those people that buy Celeste pizzas at your local supermarket in bulk when on sale 6 for $10, then you probably have found your new favorite pizza place in Dino's. Like Celeste pizza, Dino's pizza is crispy and has a crispy crust. If you have never tried a Celeste pizza or just prefer buying Red Baron or Lean Cuisine French bread pizza, I would recommend having a Celeste pizza before you go to Dino's. It's about a $2-$3 investment but a good test to see if you will like the crispiness of Dino's pizza.

In Chicago, I have had better deep dish at places such as Gino's but Zachary's Pizza is definitely the best deep dish pizza I've had in the bay area so far. If for some reason, you don't like deep dish pizza, go to another pizza place. The thin crust is good but nothing special

I'm giving the pizza two stars because it is average after drinking but the reality is that it is probably a one star sober. I'm just not willing to try the pizza sober.

Goat Hill's pizza delivery service worked out well for the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight. They do a generous job on the toppings and I especially like the sourdough crust. It's a little more expensive than other pizzas but worth a few extra bucks.

Not only did our pizzas look the same but they tasted similar as well. We split two small deep dish pizzas, and although both pizzas had completely different toppings, the pizzas tasted almost identical. The fresh tomatoes, though flavorful, overpowered the toppings and cheese of the pizza. The crust was too bland for my taste. The pizza is certainly not bad but it's not great either.

Best Sicilian pizza in cambridge, no contest. Crust is crunchy on the sides and bottom but soft and chewy right below the sauce and cheese; Tomato and Basil = delicious. The space is very small, so don't expect to really eat there unless you go at an off time. Perfect for grabbing a slice as to wander around the square with.

Awesome pizza; crust is thin and delicious especially when ordered when ordered "crispy". Stand topping offerings, as well as over a dozen "specialty" pizzas. Fast service and good staff. A pizza ordered for take out during the dinner rush only took 10 minutes. They deliver and a full, family style eat in restaurant space with BYOB.

I love the 21st Amendment - the brewery and the amendment however are even btter! The 21st is where SliceFinder.com had it first official meeting. Dan Lowrie, Greg Rpbinson andTom Ferguson (me) are the founders and hashed out the design, concept and basic idea at a table here. We all ordered a different pizza - they were all good, but not great. What a start to SliceFinder. 21st does however have great burgers and they are know for their beer - they are a SF micro-brew. My old roommate and still close friend - Joe Agrillo use to work there as well as Joe Kennedy who was the restaurant supervisor. All that being said - good pizza - incredible brews!

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. Dino's is the top pizza joint in the city. The crust is awesome and hand tossed, the sauce is better it's Dino's MaMa's recipe, so have some RESECT! Also, I always ask for extra sauce, extra cheese, and on my diet days, I just ask for extra sauce. The service is second to none, if you are a regular, Dino himself will fill up a pitcher of beer on the house for you. For garlic lovers, they will add garlic at no charge, personally I pass because I'm hot and someone will most likely want to kiss me, it's a sacrifice I make. As far as delivery goes, usually takes about 45 minutes, but you can ask for a 2 litre of RC cola or Diet RC at no additional charge. Dinos is the best pizza in SF, but if you need other reasons to eat here, there are plenty.

I was told my some locals that BayFront pizza is the best in Newport. Although I love Abbey's for consistency and thin crust, I found BayFront Pizza to be that more hand tossed, homemade sauce, and specialty pizza and in no way generic. I asked for extra sauce and next time I will ask for extra-extra sauce. The crust was soft and delicious. The pizzas were huge. They have two types of italian sausage, mild and spicy, I went for mild and it was great. I also ordered a Canadian Bacon, I will not lie, it was a little light on the meat, they could have doubled the meat and it would have been about right. Lastly they have these little appetizer garlic roll things that are really good and good value 12 for $4, well worth the money!!

Little Star is a little slice of heaven. It's like an upscale pizza place and can feel like a bar at night - very dark, loud music...in a good way of course. They have great selection of beers (Racer 5!) and wines. Now to the food...the large salads are huge and good for sharing. I love the "Classic" thin crust pizza. To be honest, I always get that so I can't really say what other thin crusts are good. I do get the Mediterranean thick crust - it's SO good, and I normally hate thick crust. It's not like NY sicilian pizza - it's more like Chicago style - very heavy with sauce on top. It's definitely delish. Overall, good place for any occassion.

I love Mario's, although their pizza leaves something to be desired. It is good, don't get me wrong. Thin crust, can eat and drink at the bar, and the service is awesome. Their pizza however, doesn't have a ton of flavor and they don't have a huge selection. The location is perfect! Right off Washington Square, right in the heart of North Beach. Great for people watching with a glass of wine or a few beers. I would personally stick to the chicken pesto panini.

Good pizza, it's just good. The cool thing about this joint is that it is actually an old converted bowling alley. So beware - it is thin - like 2 bowling lanes thin. They have a great beer selection and a cool crowd - mostly college students. So be prepared for lots of drunks people and for it to be loud. Only beer on tap - no hard alcohol.

Blondie's is a San Francisco staple. They have thick slices and usually eat to go, although they do have a large seating area - and another restaurant / stand - downstairs. Most people get a slice to go and eat right outside or walking to the next stop / shop. This place does have a ton of tourists though as it is in the shopping district and right next to the cable car turn around.

Great deep dish pizza! Great service and cool atmosphere. This old brick building used to be a brothel. The pizza is served on a pizza stand and the pizza is THICK! I usually go for thin crust, but there are a few deep dish pizzas I love - Old Chicago Pizza is one of them. Highly recommend Old Chicago Pizza and then maybe a few pints at a fun bar - McNear's Pub right next door.

Great pizza and service. This place is perfect for a snowmobile pit-stop for a drink and a bite. Snowmobilier friendly, great service, inexpensive and I highly recommend. Beers on tap, jukebox and family friendly.

One of my favorite places! I normally do not like thick crust, but this place serves their pizza on focaccia bread. Bar seating only. Packed on weekends - lines out the door. But they do have a window where you can order to go. Great beer selection (Prohibition, Red Tail, Red Nectar.) and the service is great - they love hard core music.

This place has all the markings of being below average - the interior alone gives you no confidence that they're even trying. Still, if you live within a 4 block radius of here, it might be worth it - the slices are so huge they cut them in half. This place is a mystery. Some days, the slices are amazing, the perfect NY style slice, and huge. Other times, it's bland and uninspiring. One thing I've learned - this place is much better by the slice than delivery. It's like a different pizza, the slices are much thinner and larger when purchased on the premises. Still, I've had some awesome slices here, possibly aided at least in part by multiple drinks prior in the Lower Haight.

Why do people like this place? This defines what's wrong with CA pizza - doughy, tons of cheese, and no sauce. It's like having a loaf of bread with a melted block of cheese on top. Fortunately Escape From New York is nearby, but for some reason I've been back to this place a couple times hoping I had a bad slice. Wrong. The only thing I could possibly blame it on is the stiff drinks at Gold Cane, but even then, unforgivable.

A solid pie. Many intense combinations of toppings, which can become a little overbearing. Stick with plain cheese or up to two toppings on this one and you're all set. A solid delivery choice, they also offer a bunch of good salads.

Simply put, the best thin crust, NY style pizza in SF. A pure slice shop, with just a few stools in the store, and no delivery. It's not cheap ($20 for a large cheese!) but so worth it. The one place in SF that actually understands what makes a NY style slice.

What is it about Little Star that rules so much?? Although they are known for their deep dish, this place has insanely good thin crust. It's all about the crust here. Just so damn good - once you try it once you'll be hooked. The hour long wait is worth it, not a bad place to have a glass of wine while you're waiting. I hear takeout isn't quite the same experience..

Great NY style pizza, and a wide delivery area. Crazy amount of toppings. Best bet when ordering delivery is to go for the Extra Large, this one comes out much thinner than the other sizes. Good slice shop as well, they always have a few types ready to go.

One of the best shops in SF, this place does the thin crust right. Go for the plain cheese here, they have the foundation down perfectly. Can be light with the toppings, but doesn't really matter. Great for delivery.

They're on the right track with this thin crust NY style pizza, but rarely get it just right. When it's good, the thin layer of sauce and cheese meld together well like NY pizza should, but all too often, this pizza is burned, undercooked, or too greasy. Might be too much of a risky proposition.
