If you’ve got a Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6 phone you can use Fring to make VoIP calls and live chats via multiple sessions and clients, such as MSN Messenger, Skype, Google Talk and several others.

Though most of the basic services will be free, outbound calls to real phone numbers will still incur a fee.

Depending on where you are in the world you may have trouble using any kind of VoIP. T-Mobile asserts that it isn’t blocking Truphone calls to a large spectrum of UK customers, and that these numbers just happen to be Truphone numbers.

T-Mobile claims that Truphone’s termination rates are simply too high, whereas they’re willing to work with Fring and Skype.

Fring is a VoIP client you may want to check out. According to Fringland Fring can now be used on Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 devices.

Users can wok with Fring to make free VoIP calls and chat with multiple users over Google Talk, Skype, MSN Messenger, and other clients.

Fring uses 3G cellular or WiFi hot spots to deliver VoIP calls, as well as PSTN phones using SkypeOut or similar services.

I was reading ZDNet when I came across this interesting comment.
If this is true, those of you who can wait for a few months after the June 29 launch of the iPhone, stand to be rewarded for your patience.

I just got off the phone with an ATT Rep who said that there are no rebates for the 2 year agreement towards the phone. He said that Apple has released information on a NEW IPhone that will be 3G and 12gig with new features that will launch in 6 Months. So for those of you who can wait, in 6 months you can get a killer IPhone or get a used 8gig/4gig from someone selling there old one to get the new one,

Russell Shaw found this picture at the FCC site. It’s an illustration that comes bundled with some of their other documents that, apparently, grant a 45-day non-disclosure period to Apple for some iPhone documentation and drawings.

There is one drawing that made it through –what could be discribed as an Apple Bluetooth Headset …for the iPhone.

According to trusted sources in communication with Ryan at Engadget the touchscreen keyboard on the iPhone leaves something to be desired.

As noted, the iPhone does not have a device mounted keyboard, but a virtual, touchscreen keyboard.

Ryan reports that it’s too easy to hit more than one key. Users are recommended to use one finger rather than thumbs, the kys are so close together.

Also, the touchscreen reportedly requires some heavy handed pressing in order to register the keys being selected.

Ok, of course this would happen, but… ads for iPhone line waiters on Craigslist?!

So maybe you have an actual job or something and can’t stand in line for hours. Apparently this set of circumstances will not bar you from acquiring an iPhone on June 29, but it’ll cost ya.

Most of the ads I’ve seen settle somewhere between $200 and $250. I’m not really sure if you’d want your ‘waiter’ to sign the contract form, but I’m sure you could work something out.

TeleGeography reports that the Fijian Cabinet has approved a VoIP policy that allows the licensing of VoIP technology without infringing upon the legal rights of the country’s two licensed federal telecom providers, Fiji International Telecommunications Limited (FINTEL) and Telecom Fiji.

Previously, Fijians have been able to access popular VoIP services like Skype, but with this new development new players will enter the market and bring variety for the customers.

In this morning’s issue of USA Today, Leslie Cauley talks about iPhone supply chain issues that AT&T Wireless is sturggling with as it gets ready for the launching of the iPhone on June 29.

There have been somewhere around 2,000 hirings of AT&T Wireless store employees, with half of these being assigned to crowd control and the rest for customer service.

When stores run out of iPhones employees will then take orders for units that should arrive within 3-5 days. Do expect limits on the number of iPhones you’ll be able to purchase on opening day. Speculation has this number estimated at 2, possibly 3 iPhones to a customer.

Yesterday it was announced that the iPhone will be YouTube-compliant, which means that YouTube content can be streamed wirelessly over WiFi or EDGE networks to play on the iPhone’s 3.5 inch display.

YouTube is doing its share by encoding videos in the H.264 format. Apple and YouTube bot hsay that omre than 10,000 YouTube vidoes will be available on June 29th, the day the new iPhone comes out.

YouTube plans to continue adding to their H.264 format videos until their catalog is full.
