<p> Plan, organize, direct, and manage consistent sales processes and activities across all locations.</p>
<p> Drive profitable revenue into existing capacity to improve and maintain branch utilization.</p>
<p> Responsible for the revenue and Sales &amp; Marketing contribution growth necessary to support company growth and earning targets.</p>
<p> Build and manage an expanding network of strategic customers, national / relocation accounts, business relationships, etc.</p>
<p> Develop overall Sales &amp; Marketing strategy and objectives for  &#8221;Client&#8221;  in the form of an annual Sales Plan.</p>
<p> Interact with, guide and support all sales personnel in their pursuit of revenue, new customers and lead generation objectives.</p>
<p>  Establish performance targets and budgets for all sales associates in alignment with company strategy and goals.</p>

<p>Required Educations, Knowledge and Skills:</p>

<p>Job Summary:</p>
<p>Develop new business opportunities in the hospitality sector for receiving, warehousing, delivery and installation of Fixtures Furniture &amp; Equipment (FF&amp;E) for hotels and other similar projects such as new store roll outs, senior living installations.</p>
<p>Select service vendors nationally as required to perform the work and manage the process daily or as required.</p>
<p>Exceed budgeted revenues for the business and ensure that each project returns 20% over cost to company.</p>
<p>Recap written monthly reports of P&amp;L statement outlining issues that impacted revenue, cost and profitability.</p>
<p>Grow the branch revenues, manage expenses tightly and increase profits as planned while delivering a great service and meet all agreed upon client expectations.</p>
<p>Submit all reports to the Vice President Moving &amp; Storage as required on a timely basis.</p>
<p>Develop and implement FF&amp;E processes, such as estimate / bid process, cost modeling templates and customer presentation deck.</p>
<p>Manage all aspects of Hospitality, FF&amp;E installations and warehousing</p>

<p><span id="more-159"></span>II. Position Scope</p>
<p>This position has overall responsibility for meeting both profit and performance goals on an annual basis at their assigned location. In meeting this responsibility the General Manager will work with the Executive Committee, corporate Vice Presidents and managers, branch managers, supervisors, employees, contractors, customers, and the general public.</p>
<p>III.	Minimum Job Qualifications Required:</p>
<p>a.	Education: Bachelor&#8217;s degree from a four-year college or university</p>
<p>b.	Experience: Five years experience in moving &amp; storage industry required.</p>
<p>c.	Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Valid Driver&#8217;s License</p>
<p>d.	Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of rules and regulations imposed by various governing bodies of the transportation industry and Company&#8217;s policies and procedures.</p>
<p>IV.	Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p>
<p>1.  The General Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Agency. The General Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&#8217;s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p>
<p>2.      The General Manager works with the Executive Vice President to develop the annual Business Plan. Once the Business Plan is approved by the President the General Manager has the overall responsibility for meeting the Business Plan.</p>
<p>3       The General Manager works with the Senior Vice President and Vice President of Sales to develop the Marketing Plan. Once the Marketing Plan is approved the General Manager has the overall responsibility for meeting the Marketing Plan.</p>
<p>4.	The General Manager reviews financial statements, sales reports, operations reports, quality reports, and administrative reports to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises strategies and plans in accordance with current conditions.</p>
<p>5.	The General Manager directs the sales effort at the agency level by directing, coordinating, and supervising agency sales staff in the promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain and maintain competitive position in marketplace.</p>
<p>6.	The General Manager is ultimately responsible for both Local and Long Distance Operations at the agency and will obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operation, and maximization of profit potential through subordinate Operations managers and supervisors.</p>
<p>7.	The General Manager ensures that agency warehouses are maintained according to Company policy.</p>
<p>S.       The General Manager ensures that all agency-owned equipment is properly maintained according to Company policy and applicable laws.</p>
<p>9.	The General Manager ensures that all administrative, human resource, and accounting functions performed at the agency level are completed per Company policies and procedures.</p>
<p>10.	The General Manager is accountable for ensuring that agency goals for sales, operations, safety, and quality are understood by all employees and reached on a regular basis.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Operations Manager is responsible to effectively plan, organize, lead and control the Operations Department of the branch. Plans for and organizes required human resources and physical assets required to achieve planned objectives. Develops effective service mechanism and provides departmental leadership to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for regulatory enforcement and safety compliance.<span id="more-150"></span></p>
<h3>Additional Responsibilities</h3>
<p>Effectively manages employees reporting directly/indirectly to the position, providing leadership, motivation, development and discipline in order to promote quality performance and achievement of quality and financial objectives.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1-Recruit and maintain quality CDL drivers.</li>
<li>Std. 2-Ensure quality employees are hired in a non-discriminatory manner. No legitimate complaints of harassment, discrimination or violations of employment laws.</li>
<li>Std. 3-Develop effective training programs to orient new employees, train existing employees and develop all employees for additional responsibilities.</li>
<li>Std. 4- Prepare Performance reviews timely and accurately for your operations staff. Develop performance action plan for employees that are not meeting expectations or are less than competent.</li>
</ol>
<p>Ensures that all household and commercial jobs are properly dispatched with appropriate crews and equipment to provide the highest quality of service and efficiency.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1-No loss of customers due to operational service failures or lack of quality while constantly improving the gross margin.</li>
<li>Std.3-Institute a claims reduction program to reduce cargo claims by 10% versus prior year.</li>
</ol>
<p>Ensures all paperwork and documentation is processed in an accurate and timely manner. All paperwork must be reviewed prior to sending to accounting department review start and end times and that all charges were computed and collected properly.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1-Make sure all daily dispatch sheets are updated and retained for future reference.</li>
<li>Std. 2-Dispatch sheets are reviewed daily for maximum equipment/manpower utilization and crew productivity.</li>
</ol>
<p>Develop annual Operations Department budget and manages against budget during the fiscal year to meet or exceed planned operating margins by service line.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1-Develops accurate and timely budget that proactively plans for business needs and challenges</li>
<li>Std. 2-Quarterly and year to date Operations Department budget are at or below plan.</li>
<li>Std. 3-Quarterly and year to date gross margin objectives are met or exceeded by service line.</li>
</ol>
<p>Provide for the protection and custody of company&#8217;s assets through the adherence to federal, state, and local safety and compliance standards by all operations staff, drivers and helpers.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1-Enforces and complies with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and industry safety and risk management standards.</li>
<li>Std. 2-Reduce workmen&#8217;s compensation claims through recruiting quality employees and a continuous training program.</li>
<li>Std. 3- All equipment and vehicles are inspected by established safety guidelines.</li>
</ol>
<p>Manage the warehouse to efficiently receive, inventory, store and deliver out customer property without damage. Reduce loss/damage claims through a thorough review of warehouse procedures and implementing an ongoing training program.</p>
<ol>
<li>Std. 1- Reduce warehouse and cargo claims by 10% over prior year.</li>
<li>Std. 2- Ensure warehouse is efficiently organized to maximize storage space and revenue opportunity. A. Arnold housekeeping standards are met or exceeded at all times.</li>
</ol>
<p>Assist the sales staff to solicit O&amp;I, Logistics, Warehousing, Distribution, Intrastate, Interstate, and International moving and storage business by attending sales meetings and O&amp;I face-to-face appointments as necessary.</p>
<p>Meet with VP/GM monthly, quarterly, and annually to review and evaluate performance standards, objectives, operations department achievements, challenges and monitor the progress of your department goals.</p>

Improve hauler profitability and driver retention through effective dispatch, fill outs and assisting drivers with their day-to-day dispatch related problems.</p>
<p><span id="more-119"></span>SPECIFIC DUTIES</p>
<p>CHECK CALLS: Enter daily check call information recording the driver&#8217;s location, present status and location of next check call.<br />
TRIP UPDATE: Update status of each shipment on the driver&#8217;s trip, confirming load and delivery schedule is being maintained.<br />
TRIP ASSIGNMENT: Communicate orders to drivers on planned trips, conveying all pertinent loading, delivery and shipment requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.<br />
RESOLVE DRIVER PROBLEMS: Communicate with drivers and agents to resolve all related dispatch and customer problems.<br />
REVIEW DRIVER ACTIVITY REPORT: For planned shipments, missed check calls and shipment delays.<br />
EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWNS: Monitor progress of repairs until unit returns to service or coordinate with responsible scheduler to reassign loaded shipments if necessary.<br />
MONITOR ASSIGNED DRIVERS: To ensure availability and compliance with safety and operations&#8217; requirements.</p>
