Diddy and his guest celebrated the 4th of July while at the same time raising money for Malaria No More, a non-profit, non-governmental organization determined to end the malaria crisis in Africa.

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot multiple times, including once in the head, and a pistol was discovered near the body of the 20-year-old woman found dead with him Saturday in a downtown condominium. Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron identified the woman as Sahel Kazemi, whom he called a “friend” of McNair’s. She had a single gunshot wound to the head. Police said the 36-year-old McNair was found on the sofa in the living room, and Kazemi was very close to him on the floor. Aaron said the gun was not “readily apparent” when police first arrived. Autopsies were planned for Sunday. Aaron said McNair’s wife, Mechelle, is “very distraught.” “At this juncture, we do not believe she is involved,” he said. “Nothing has been ruled out, but as far as actively looking for a suspect tonight, the answer would be no.” For More click

1. Whitney still has a hold on Bobbi Kristina. She is still probably off the chain but at least she’s not being left in other cities while Whitney travels.
2. Whitney isn’t bloated, she has all her teeth and she’s back to her regular, thin size. This makes me happy because I love Ms. Houston’s music and I want her to be back on top again. Nobody can sing like Whitney so I am rooting for her, heavy! I Look To You is due in stores September 1.

MJ holds the top nine positions on Billboard’s Top Pop Catalog Albums chart. Michael Jackson sold over 422,000 records since his death last Thursday. The King of Pop’s “Number Ones” will fittingly lead the pack at No. 1 with 108,000 (an increase of 2,340%) while “The Essential Michael Jackson” and “Thriller” are in the Nos. 2 and 3 slots with 102,000 and 101,000, respectively. Last week “Number Ones” was the only Jackson title on the chart, at No. 20 with 4,000 copies; both “Essential” and “Thriller” re-enter the tally this week.

Additionally, his classic 1979 studio set “Off the Wall” re-enters at No. 4 with 33,000 while his 1987 album “Bad” returns at No. 6 with 17,000. At No. 5, the Jackson 5’s “The Ultimate Collection” debuts with 18,000. Jackson’s fourth studio album for Epic Records, 1991’s “Dangerous,” re-enters at No. 7 with 14,000 while his 2001 compilation “Greatest Hits: HIStory — Volume 1″ also comes back to the list at No. 8 with 12,000. My wish list is: Manhattan, furnished, about $3,000 and starting at some point in September.” Good luck with that one, Kerry! Maybe she’s looking for one of her celebrity friends with a place they don’t really stay in to let her ussssse their place and she’ll contribute that as a token of appreciation.

R. Kelly Can’t Escape the Little Girl Headlines

R. Kelly’s name is always and I guess it will forever be tied to headlines about some young girls.
A rep for the R&B star has vehemently denied a National Enquirer report that Kelly’s home had been searched by Chicago-area police as part of their hunt for a missing 17-year-old girl.

“A wildly exaggerated and inaccurate report has been circulating on the Internet that Olympia Fields police showed up at R. Kelly’s house with a search warrant just before the singer left for his three-week concert tour in Africa last month and then searched the place looking for a missing 17-year-old girl,” rep Allan Mayer said in a statement.

“This is completely false. No police ever showed up at Kelly’s house with a search warrant nor was his house ever searched. It is also not true, as the unsubstantiated report claimed, that any such girl ever stayed overnight in Kelly’s house or that she had been there but left shortly before some mythical police search.”
Meanwhile, the teen has since been located and the Olympia Fields Police Department says that it has been fielding calls for three days about the bogus story.

Kelly is not involved in any investigation, authorities said.

DEA Joins Investigation into Michael Jackson’s Death

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s diversion division, which oversees prescription-drug issues, will be assisting the Los Angeles Police Department with its ongoing investigation into Jackson’s death, ABC News reported Wednesday. “We routinely offer assistance to any agency regarding the Federal Controlled Substance act, however at this time we have nothing further to comment about the death of Michael Jackson,” read a statement issued by the DEA.

L.A. County coroner’s officials confiscated a number of prescription drugs Monday from Jackson’s rented Holmby Hills mansion and dual autopsies confirmed that the iconic pop artist had been on unspecified meds.
The LAPD is in the process of interviewing a number of doctors involved with writing prescriptions for Jackson, who died June 25 after going into cardiac arrest. source

Tameka states in her newly filed court documents that she and Usher haven’t been separated since July 2008 and, in fact, were “intimately together” less than a week before he started divorce proceedings. She had “every reason to believe her marriage was intact,” her attorney stated in documents filed Monday in Atlanta. Guess it wasn’t that good.

I think it’s time for this reality tv stuff, especially on BET, to come to an end. It’s just ghetto mess dressed up. Tiny is all plastic and injected. The show is so scripted that its not even funny. Tiny and Toya, the two accents together, felt like fingernails on a chalk board. Oh, Tiny nor Toya don’t appear to be very smart, so every scene looked like it was pretty difficult and may have taken hours to tape. The whole let’s go get moma stuff was just ridiculous. Anything for some ratings….BET won with Frankie, so their thinking, lets put some more disfunctional family shyt on tv. Sigh.

Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael. All three children were conceived in vitro — outside the womb. Multiple sources deeply connected to the births tell us Michael was not the sperm donor for any of his kids. Debbie’s eggs were not used. She was merely the surrogate, and paid well for her services in the births of Michael Jr. and Paris.

In the case of Prince Michael II (the youngest), we’re told the surrogate was never told of the identity of the “receiving parent” — Michael Jackson. Three days after Prince was born at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego County, Jackson’s lawyer came to the hospital to pick the baby up and deliver him to Michael. We do not know if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were.
Although Rowe is not the biological mother, it’s not a slam dunk that she would lose a custody battle. This type of case has never been litigated in California courts. Since Rowe was married to Jackson when Michael Jr. and Paris were born, there’s a presumption that she’s the biological parent. That presumption can be rebutted by other evidence. We know there are documents outlining the whole arrangement for the birth of all three kids. Nonetheless, it’s still an open issue with the courts.

Vibe magazine, the urban-music magazine founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones, is the latest victim of the media recession. A source with knowledge of the situation tells DailyFinance that the staff has learned the magazine is ceasing publication, and assistants in the offices of editor in chief Danyel Smith and publisher Edgar Hernandez confirmed the news. No further information was immediately available. Messages left for Smith, Hernandez and Vibe Media CEO Steve Aaron were not immediately returned.

Vibe enjoyed significant success in the late ’90s and early part of this decade as hip hop and R&B became the nation’s predominant forms of pop music. But in recent years the title has fallen on hard times under its new owner, the Wicks Group, which bought it in 2006. In February, it reduced its circulation and publishing frequency, cut salaries and moved employees to a four-day workweek to save money.

I think people are making to big of a deal about Joe Jackson and his statements in the media. Remember these things before we start to criticize him…..
1. Joe Jackson just lost his son and didn’t have anytime to mourn because somebody had to represent the Jackson family and take on the press. What if he didn’t do the interviews? Who would’ve and what info would they have given…..very little I’m sure.
2. Nobody ever said the Jackson’s were normal, so why would they start being normal now. Why should the Jackson’s start acting and grieving the way we think that they should?
3. Joe Jackson is old school. He only knows one way to handle things—his way. He’s been in this business for what 50 years??? So some of this stuff is natural instincts.
4. Mr. Jackson is 80 years old so give him a break. Think about your grandfather doing press. Would he embarrass you? Probably so!
5. Where the hell do you think Michael Jackson got his shrewd business skills from?
6. No matter what you think, Michael Jackson is Joe Jackson’s son. I wish somebody would tell people why I shouldn’t be speaking about my son or how to go about it. Nobody knows about their relationship or if they came to peace or some kind of understanding. Not Nancy Graces, not Deepak Chopra, nobody.
