I was an addict. The house was looking haunted, the kids where feasting on who knows what, and my hubby was thinking of intervention. I could not put it down. Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight was love at first bite. Literally.

It is a love story with one foot in reality and one foot in fantasy. It involves high school craziness, first loves, and how can we forget – vampires. The story line is sweet and thrilling. The best way I can describe it is: cotton candy – light, youthful and sticks with you.

Please, do not let the thickness of her books fool you. Buy them all and do it all at once. I, like many of my friends, could not get my hands on the next book in the saga fast enough (yes, there are 4 in all). I finally caught on by book #3; I bought Eclipse and Breaking Dawn at the same time so my craving would not become a public display of hysterics.

So I finally decided to re- paint the bathroom. It was this two toned green color with texture. Not so much what anyone liked. It is a small bathroom and with the green it looked smaller. I decided to go with a color called cozy cottage. It is a very pretty yellow, and of course very cozy. I wasn’t sure about the texture on the wall and what would happen if I painted over it.

So I asked the experts at Home Depot. They are so knowledgeable about paint and what kind I needed for the bathroom walls and trim. They also recommended that I use a 3/8 nap for rolling on the paint because of the texture. Well the bathroom looks great, very bright and cozy. Thanks Home Depot for all your help.

Like a Lamb

I am hoping that March will come in like a lamb this weekend. I have had my share of snow this winter. I am ready for spring.
