It certainly has the (glossy) looks, but from the published specifications I am still unsure of how the phone will work and what kind of software it will be able to run. I have seen a lot of eastern smartphones in the past. When advertised on websites they normally look too good to be true, and in fact they mostly are. They have the looks, but the software is always awful. So I guess in this case it is best to reserve judgement until May, when the quad-core MX should be made available.

A Look at Apple's New 'Siri'

BY CHARLIE MCKEAGUE ANCHOR ANA COMPAIN-ROMERO Ladies and gentlemen -- the iPhone 4S -- it's here and it's real. Apple's highly anticipated new smartphone was announced Tuesday. And while the specs are impressive, its got one new feature that's really getting some press - and its not the cloud. "It's the next evolution of voice control and based on their acquisition of the Siri assistant. Now, its all voice control and will allow you to make appointments that are instantly added to your calendar, compose voice to text messages, and create reminders for that rash ointment you forgot about." (Video: CNET) Boom! But is it really a breakthrough? Google has basically already been there, done that. But either way -- a reporter for Fox News says Assistant IS all that. "Imagine if you had a personal assistant built into your iPhone. ... You just pick up your iPhone and say remind me to pick up bread later today. Then it populates puts that information right inside your calendar and then sends you reminders. No typing involved." And all of that causing Wired to say... "Apple's Rumored Virtual Assistant Could Outshine New iPhone" So it's gonna be cool, but is it any different than what's already out there? According to Apple Insider, Apple says yes - and here's why. "It will figure out what results you don't like, what restaurants you frequent, and what people you want to talk to the most. It will adapt to your needs and become more than just a module for voice commands..." So it ...
Author: NewsyTech
Link...

New Sony Xperia Play. Soon after the merger, the Sony Cybershot brand was given to the Sony Ericsson range of camera phones, but despite the wishes of many, the Playstation phone never came. In recent times, the fortunes of Sony Ericsson within the industry haven't always been positive, but the release of handsets running the Android OS has breathed a new lease of life into the brand, and now at long last we have the fabled Playstation phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Weighing 175g, the Xperia Play measures in at 119 x 62 x 16mm, and boasts a large, 4.0 inch LED backlit capacitive touchscreen, supporting up to 16 million colours and with a pixel resolution of 480 x 854.
