Smart buttons are one of the current trends in IoT enabled wearables. The best part is the diversified set of actions they can be used to trigger effortlessly. Today we are going to see how to make our own DIY smart wifi button and link it with IBM Cloud.

Hardware you will be needing:

1) ESP8266 -01 Module
2) TP4056 Module
3) Lipo Battery 700mAh
4) Push Button
5) USB to TTL converter

A Project Summary:

This project is a basic setup for creating a wifi Button. Initially, ESP is in deep sleep which helps us reduce the overall power consumption to save our low cap batteries from running out quickly. when the user hits the reset button,it triggers a boot cycle. once the booting is complete, it connects to a hardcoded WiFi hotspot then connects to the public MQTT server and publishes a message with device id in it and goes to sleep. the message triggers an action on the cloud

Hey there android users!wassup?are you in a dilemma of whether or not to root your android device? well,then this post is for you.i'm gonna briefly point out the advantages and dis advantages of rooting your android and then you yourself can weigh them and take a decision.

Remove pre-installed Apps( blotware ):

Most of the phones with stock ROMs come with many unwanted pre installed apps like flipkart,m buddy etc etc which are there even if we never use them,they are by default un-uninstallable,but rooting helps you get rid of them

Tweak every possible display element:

There are certain apps that allow you to customize every corner of your android without installing much of third party running services which hog your memory.you can customize your boot logo,system fonts,task bar,notifications,keyboards,list scroll effects,change the complete look and feel of your device

LIMITED network connection error may be caused due to various reasons,but mostly due to an ip conflict or improper ip address configuration.and doing a network troubleshoot may fix that.but what if it doesn't? O_O

Don't worry you are just one command away from getting back your internet.open command prompt and type in

ipconfig/renew

and there you go its fixed!

What have we done?

what we've done is basically simple.we just asked windows to release the old ip address configuration and get a new one.this error can also be fixed if you wait for some time and then connect to your network,the same thing happens,your system would be allotted a new ip address automatically,but we've chose not to wait and manually renew our ip address

NOTE: this trick only works if your limited connection problem is caused due to any ip conflicts.

Hide files from Android Gallery

If you want to hide media items from your android gallery without using any suspicious applications,you can simply follow this tutorial.

.nomedia method:

All you would need is a good file manager.I would personally suggest using x-plore its a very good file manager
open xplore and create a new text file

remove the .txt extension and create a bare file with ".nomedia"extension remember leave it name less,but just with an extension

now when it opens the editor just put in a dot,nothing else and save the file

And now which ever directory contains this file will not be indexed in your android gallery.you can copy it and use for multiple directories,leaving it in your root sd card mount will prevent any media from being read by your device.
once you've created this file,you can use it to hide multiple directories or even all the media files from your sd card at a shot

the "." :

in case you quickly want to hide a directory and don't have the above said .nomedia file,you can simply put a "." before the name of the directory and vola!its hidden from the gallery

First download USBasp drivers and extract them
Plug in your USBasp programmer,wait till windows tries to install it,in most of the cases,it may fail to
Before proceeding any further,you would need to disable driver signature verification on windows,just go through that post
once you are done, open system properties and on the right corner select device manager

You would see not installed devices under "other devices",USBasp is ours.right click it and select "update drivers"

Select browse my computer for driver software

just browse to the extracted folder,remember just the "folder" not into it, and click next

there you go now your USBasp drivers will be successfully installed :)

I would be using my windows 8.1 system for demonstration,so first of all mve your mouse to the bottom right corner to open the charm bar,

Choose settings

Change pc settings,

Goto update and recovery tab

open recovery tab

And in the advanced startup,click the restart now button

wait for the system to shutdown and restart again,goto advanced options,then a menu similar to the below image shows up

Choose start up settings and then hit restart

And then you will be given a gui with various options like boot in safe mode,eneble low resolution video mode etc etc
Check if "Disable driver signature Enforcement" is the 7th option in the list,if so hit F7 or the respective function key,then the system proceeds with usual start up,and you've successfully disabled driver signature verification

Hey guyz! it'z been a while since my last post,so hi again!

so if you have gone through my Emulators post,one of the most interesting thing you will find is the Bluestacks Android App player.yes its fun and comes in handy for those who don't have an android phone,but If your purpose for using Bluestacks is App testing,then at some point of time you would definetly need Root or SuperUser access.Lets see how we can break free Bluestackz from its chains shall we?

First you need to have a latest version of BlueStacks.If you already have one,then its fine or else get one ( in case you have a old version,just give it a try if the rooting doesn't work then go on and download the newer version )
once you've installed BlueStacks and its running well,now download the SUpatch pack
Enable Hidden Folder Visibility
Now open your c drive > program data > BlueStacks > Android

C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Android

Now backup the two files initrd.img and Root.fs
Uncompress the downloaded file (the supatch one ) and copy the two files in it to this folder and thats it!you are done rooting!
TO verify,you whether rooting is done properly or not you can use Root Checker App

For most of you i need not point of the advantages of having a rooted device,but incase you don't know,just google it ;)

Now a days WiFi is becoming as Essential as food for people,with the growing popularity and use every public place has started providing wifi hot spots,but the problem is,many people with all their data hungry devices compete for bandwidth and which some times can clog even a higher band network which is a bit annoying.and that feel can some times turn into a bit of frustration that you would hope that you can just kick off all those people from the network.And now yes you can!

First Download NetCut and Install it
Now Turn Off windows firewall
Run NetCut with administrator privilege

Now give it a couple of minutes to scan your network and wait for the ready signal

Now select the ip address of the device which you wanna kick off and click cut off!thats it you can again resume it if you want

Defend YourSelf:

And wait what if someone uses NetCut against you?no problem you can install NetCut Defender to save yourself from it
