YEAR 10 FORMAL MAKEUP!

At the start of this month, i did 3 beautiful makeup looks on 3 beautiful girls!

Sharla: First I did Sharla’s makeup, she has such beautiful natural features that I couldn’t wait to use them to create a formal look. I ended up making the eyes the main feature, I did a cut crease using pinks and a silver shimmer. This was by far my favourite one!

Daetona: Dateona is not used to much makeup, which i took a lot of consideration in when doing her makeup, I made the most of her long lashes and didn’t add any fake ones and didn’t go too heavy.

Imogine: Lucky last was Imogine, she has such beautiful natural beauty! I created a nice look with some browns and golden shimmers, and also did a natural lip colour that she chose. So so beautiful!!!

So.. I have started something different. Special Effects was something I thought I would NEVER try, and if I did I thought I would completely fail. But since being in Big Picture at school I have gained confidence and even enough to want to give this a shot!

I looked at some videos on the cheapest way possible to do this as I’m on a budget, and found out toilet paper and glue works as a liquid latex. It’s a lot more work but it works!

Applying the toilet paper and glue is probably the hardest part of this. Once it’s dry all thats left to do is use the power of makeup to make it look realistic! And it’s so much fun as well and so cool!

First pic- this was on my beautiful mum that asked me to do her makeup before she went out for dinner one night.

She loves highlighter, the baking and just look “slay”!

Second pic- I created this at TAFE at the start of the course. It was a lot different to what my mum has as I matched this look with the personality difference.

Third pic- This is Jackie! she is so beautiful! I loved doing her makeup and I think she loved it too.

This was the LAST assessment I ever did at my TAFE course before getting my certificate!

This was a awesome challenge for me as I had to use my imagination and just go with what ever was in my head.

This was my first time doing anything like this and I am so so proud of myself!

I was inspired by a mermaid/galaxy theme and just went from there.

One of my first looks that i completed in my TAFE course. we learnt to create a soft, elegant look using mattes and metallic brown.

Some things I thought about when creating this was recognising her natural features, I didn’t want to enhance them too much and make it dark and heavy. I used a lot of nude browns and some metallics with a lot of blending.
