Updates from mobile website :)
I’ve fixed somethings and added some cool stuff and icons! Now if you go to the homepage with an iPhone (or Android?) you’ll find a popup. If you’ll add a bookmark to the iPhone Home you’ll find a new app there to reach this site in a optimized way.
That’s one small step for this website, one giant leap for mankind :P

Forse qualcuno l’ha già visto questo video perché circola in rete già da un bel pò di tempo (2005), ma per chi non l’ha ancora fatto lo ripropongo anche qui perché si tratta di una preziosa testimonianza di vita fatta non da Steve Jobs, ma da un uomo che, è innegabile, sa cosa sia il successo e sa quali strade attraversare per raggiungerlo…
Che lo vediate come uno delle più importanti figure che hanno contribuito a cambiare per sempre la storia dell’umanità o come un uomo che ha solo pensato a chiudere le sue genialità dietro un brevetto, vi consiglio comunque di fermarvi due minuti per ascoltarlo.
Io non so se qui in Italia, questa testimonianza di vita possa essere adattabile alla situazione italiana, forse si o forse no, ma quello che è certo è che queste parole riassumono in breve le scelte che ognuno di noi prima o poi si trova ad affrontare nella vita…c’è chi sceglie senza saperlo strade sbagliate e chi senza saperlo quelle giuste.Solo il senno di poi è il giudice spietato delle nostre azioni….

Today in my twitter friend list I read a Joe Hewitt tweet. I’m agree with him in some parts.

So that’s why it took so long to get a half-decent Android app out of Facebook. Joe Hewitt, the man who created the popular Facebook app for iPhone, and then quit over frustration with Apple’s review process, is dipping his toe into the Android pool. And it looks like Hewitt doesn’t like the water. Since the beginning of this month, Hewitt has been making comments about Android that reveal his distaste for the development process on the green bot. In response to a question about how he rates Android development compared to iOS, Hewitt replied that “Android tools are horrendous, OS is hideous.” He also disapproves of Android’s device fragmentation and the lack of a tracking system to “chart the subtle differences between each device, so [developers] needn’t buy every one.
It’s not all bad in Hewitt’s eyes. Despite the fragmentation and “sloppily-designed” development tools, he gives Android the slight edge for the “absence of big brother telling me what to do.” The developer also expressed positive feelings towards the Motorola Droid X, namely the device’s large screen.

Hewitt’s comments have been expressed by other developers who don’t like Android’s splintering among phones, but this is the first time I’ve read about a developer as recognized as Hewitt complain specifically about Android’s development tools. He’s definitely not a fan of Java, but he’s accepted that as a trade-off for obtaining more freedom. Either way, at least he’s involved in Android and will hopefully come up with results as good as what we’ve seen him do on other platforms.”

“I didn’t say Android is horrendous, I said the tools (Eclipse) are, and the OS is ugly (visually). On technical merits Android is great.”

I’d to add Android market is horrendous also…and unrewarding..I love to earn very much when I work, I’m not a guru :P

Ho sempre amato questi sfizietti da geek soprattutto gli orologi strambi e le t-shirt inusuali e il mondo di internet ne è pieno. Quando ogni tanto becco qualcosa di originale, se non costa troppo, allora l’oggetto dovrà essere mio :)
E’ il caso di questa t-shirt ANDY VS APPLE che ironizza sulla battaglia android-apple che si consuma ogni giorno tra le lande del web.
Com’è risaputo io al momento sto dalla parte dello smartphone di zio Steve ma ciò non mi esime dal trattare la cosa ironicamente e anzi dal divertirmi quando qualcuno piu’ agguerrito di me si abbandona in proseliti pro-android :) la questione è piuttosto complessa e anche se ritengo android un sistema ottimo per i cellulari evoluti ha secondo me alcuni punti deboli che si fondano su un sistema strutturalmente traballante che lo fanno ancora preferire al sistema Apple, ma queste sono mie considerazioni che ho ripetuto piu’ volte e che lascio volentieri ad altri post futuri per una discussione piu’ accesa.
Per il momento posto soltanto due immagini della mitica magliettina da sfoggiare rigorosamente ai futuri GTUG ;)

iCharger for ASUS Motherboard

I installed this asus motherboard’s driver to quick charge apple products and it works!

The ASUS iCharger fix gives many of its mainboards, along with its all-in-one desktops and notebooks, the 1.2 amps of current needed to charge Apple’s tablet from their USB ports. It can automatically recognize when Apple’s hardware is attached and step up from the usual 0.5 amps when needed.

Great. Reccomended ;)

Benevenuti nel mio nuovo log! It needs to change sometimes. Finally i found a nice light and social friendly theme for my log ! Now automatic crossposting to the social networks is perfect ! i will can control every aspect of crossposting thanks to some wordpress plugins that functions now. I will can choose to post to facebook, tumblr, twitter and to other many social sites without problems in image thumbs, text and video thumbs.

I belive that SMASHLog will be like tumblr style sometimes..it because microblogging is the better form of blog for me in this moment. I have not many time to spend in it sometimes and i search a place where i can post quickly and no-frills. The best choice is find a place where i can control every aspect without limitations and this place is my hosting domain.

So, in this place you will find every thing i wish to share…you will find nice and particular video of design, CG and everything of visual interesting but also images, quotes and some my thoughts and opinions. I will write post in italian and others in english indifferently it will depends if i will be in a hurry or not.

A Shadowpuppet- Animation to Elvis Presley´s “King Creole”. -Some night I came up with this silly shadow-puppet resemblance to entertain my friends. Seemed silly enough to make a video of it. I shot my hand in front of a green solid in my monitor. Then attached those to Vector- Drawings of the bodies.
