type="text">Shigeru Miyamoto Retiring</title><content type="html">In a bit of sad news for Mario fans, Shigeru Miyamoto &lt;a href="http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/718983/shigeru-miyamoto-is-retiring-as-head-of-game-design-at-nintendo-to-work-on-smaller-projects-within-the-company/"&gt;announced&lt;/a&gt; that he is retiring as the head of game design at Nintendo, though he is staying with the company to work on some smaller projects.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He will be missed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Update: type="text">Mario Vs PETA????</title><content type="html">In a bit of puzzling news, PETA has attacked the game &lt;i&gt;Super Mario 3D Land&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;and its inclusion of a Tanooki suit, which they see as evidence that Mario supports the wearing of fur. &amp;nbsp;They created a parody game called &lt;i&gt;Super Tanooki Skin 2D&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;in which a skinless Tanooki chases Mario. &amp;nbsp;Being a family site, I decided not to link to any images from this game.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is obviously an attention grab on PETA's part. &amp;nbsp;This is especially true considering the fact that &lt;i&gt;Super Mario 3D Land&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;isn't even the first game where the Tanooki suit appears. &amp;nbsp;It has been around since its debut in &lt;i&gt;Super Mario Bros. 3&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;over 21 years ago. &amp;nbsp;Where was PETA then?</content><link rel="replies" type="application/atom+xml"
