This was not all that unusual since there had been a considerable amount of noise and strangers moving boxes and furniture. I figured that she was simply sleeping in a closet avoiding the bedlam. But dinner time rolled around and still no sign of Jasper...

Want to know what happened to Jasper? This blog constantly gets new subscribers and followers even if it is not active anymore.
For those of you who would like to keep reading me I have an option now, other than just to subscribe to my new feed you can simply join the new site with google friend connect. Just jump over to http://www.thecolorsmagazine.com/, find the widget on the sidebar and click "Join the site". Simple as that. Let's build a beautiful community out there. We might be different. We might argue a lot. We might fight and try to prove our point of view. But in the end of the day when we go to bed and are one on one with our thoughts and dreams and desires we want the only one thing - admit it or deny it - we want to be loved. And we want to be happy. And somehow one does not go without another.

At the late hour of the night some of us lie there awake dreaming of something they have never had but know exactly what it should be like. They have not yet had this feeling of comfort and calmness love gives you. They have not yet looked into the eyes of their soulmate and have not seen unlimited care and understanding there. They have not yet trusted someone unconditionally. And they have not yet met that one person who can read their mind, answer their questions before these questions are actually being asked. They have not met that person who can bring excitement, happiness, joy in their life. They have not met that special someone who can literally take their breath away just by being there. They have not. But they know they will. They hope, they dream and while they are lonely at this very moment they know very well that it is not going this way forever. Or so they hope.

She was cute, but aren’t all babies cute? She was sweet, but isn’t that what all babies are? Everyone around loved her and wished only the best for her. The little girl grew up with love, care and smiles around her.

Time went on and people noticed that she was not only sweet but smart, not only cute but intelligent, not only lovable but loving and caring. She loved people and trusted them with the unconcern that is only in a child’s nature.
She didn’t divide people into good or bad. Everyone was equally good.

I love rains, but they make me think. So I am sitting here. Wondering. Thinking. About what has been. About what will be. Not about what is. I can’t change the past. I can’t control the future. Not now. I can change the present. Today. Or Tomorrow. Or even the day after. I am not sure I want to. I am rather sure I don’t want it. Maybe I should.

It is raining here. You can get outside. Get yourself totally soaked and dance in the rain. You can be happy for a moment, for an hour, for a day. Then you get back to reality. Reality makes you think. Reality makes you choose. And for every choice there is a price. I don’t want to pay the price now. I am not ready.

You counted the days. You knew how much fun you would have with your new pet. It should be a white one. A cute white bundle of joy. You decided to call it Snowy, chose a place for it to sleep where she would roll herself into a ball and make you smile every time you look at her. You imagined how you would go to school and tell all your mates about your new little friend and everyone would beg you to show them your Snowy. And you would choose the lucky ones and bring them home and show them your white love.

And then the Day comes. You wake up, run to the piles of beautifully packed gifts, don’t pay attention to anything. You are searching for her, your Snowy. And she isn’t there. You are disappointed and leave crying. Your parents don’t understand what is wrong. They got the best gifts for you, and yet you left like you don’t care. But how can you explain to them that you don’t need any gifts? You need Snowy. Your Snowy, the one who sleeps nested up to you in the night, the one your friends love so much, the one that scratches your arm to get your attention. The one you never had.

Don’t ask me how I have chosen the city for One City - 3 Facts this time, do not really know what hit me that hard that I moved from Europe to Asia. But I must admit it is not that bad a choice.
The official name of the city is Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. I guess you would never have guessed, would you? Even if it is a part of Republic of China, Hong Kong enjoys a high degree of autonomy in all areas except only foreign affairs and defence. You can read more on political set up and history of the city here. Not my task. My task is to tell you about some not so obvious facts of Hong Kong.

Not that I didn’t know what to answer. In fact I answered instantly. I seem to have had the answer for this question since ages. Maybe I knew it all the time. And now was only waiting for someone to ask me.

“If it’s love it’s true,” I answered.

“How do you know it is love then?” I was asked. I really saw it coming. Nobody would just accept the answer I have given.

It got me thinking. I know what love is, I really do. I just don’t know how to express that with words. They don’t seem to be enough. They seem to be shallow and too small to define it. After having written about love for almost 2 years since Tuesday Love Ramblings on my blog were launched I still cannot find the right words to show what love is. Maybe I am not supposed to? I mean, I am definitely not Shakespeare, and he was good, wasn’t he? Romeo and Juliet still makes me cry every time I read it or watch the play or the movie. But even having all the works of Shakespeare available, people still ask what love is. Though, maybe they haven’t read Shakespeare? Maybe next time someone asks me what love is I will send them to the library instead?

Life was so much easier when goodbyes meant “I’ll see you tomorrow” and when no one was afraid to say “I love you”.

As we grow up things change. Or maybe we do. Fading away, drifting with the flow, losing ourselves. Forgetting childhood dreams and old promises. Getting lost in the whirlpool of fake priorities and artificial emotions. We do things because we are supposed to do them. Because someone said so. Because everyone does this. We forget who we are and what we want. We are too scared to follow our own dreams.

The site covers different topics starting from relationships, life style, literary fiction and ending with travelling and cooking. As you surely know running a website is a tough task and I need some help from my friends and readers to make it even better for all of us.

These days I am working on "cooking" - section of the Magazine. This section will feature collection of facts of different cuisines and recipes. And that is where I need your help.
If you have some really good recipes, something you would advise people to try, something you are proud of while cooking, please do not hesitate to send it to me. I believe that by contributing to the site each of you could find some benefits for yourself. I promise not only to post the recipe but link back from that post to your site/blog (if you have one), adding some few lines about you and even posting a pic of the recipe's author if you feel like this.

You can mail the recipes to info@thecolorsmagazine.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Nothing in life is as it seems. From all the dozens of people you come across in life, there will be hardly a few who are honest, loyal and true to you in all kind of situations. And even these few might crash your belief in friendship, mutual understanding and caring.

Imagine when you are friends with someone for long, know each other's good and bad sides, believe that nothing would ever change. And then suddenly everything does change. You don't even notice, don't understand and more than that... you don't believe it is happening to you.
One day you were the best friends and the other you are ignored, abandoned, left alone. The funniest thing is when you confront them, they would tell you nothing has changed, they are the same and they care the same way. And if they seemed to be away from your life, then that's for your own good, to make you stronger...

I for one don't want to get stronger this way. But despite this I am becoming stronger thanks to them, stronger in a sense that I am getting used to their ignorance, their permanent not-being-there-when-I-need-them.

That is not "becoming stronger" I wished for, that is not how I have seen our friendship, that was not supposed to happen with me. But it did.

Funny... when I ask questions I get smart answers...

The answers that are supposed to explain everything...
The answers that should make me feel better...
The answers which I don't want... because they are a lie.

It is easier to believe some things because they are what we want to hear. It takes a lot of courage and strength to look beyond those words and see the truth. The truth spoken by actions. I don't ask people to tell me they love me and care.

I don't believe words anymore.

I have got strength to accept the truth of people's actions.
The strength I have not asked for.
The strength I don't want to.
The strength I have to live with now.
Every day of my life.

Wish I were weak...

PS: did not think i would write here again after The Colors Magazine was launched ... but things happen and I feel better after I write down what I feel :)

And if they actually should? That's the topic which is covered in today's Love Ramblings on The Colors Magazine.

Here is a short abstract of it:

"I could understand why you want to get someone back. You might still love this person. No matter if you hurt them or they hurt you. You are ready to forgive and forget or you are ready to beg for forgiving. Is it worth it? Yes, the history knows the cases when people get married, divorce, then realize their mistakes and get married again. And live happily. Like all the fairytales promise. And you so want to believe that yours is the same case. That once you get back together things will be different and you won’t repeat same mistakes and you won’t ever part your ways again".

Want to read more, check it out here
