Creations from the past two years

2013-01-01T08:00:00.000+10:00

I thought I would start my "try to blog more in 2013" with a snapshot of some of the creations I have done since I last posted. Some you may have seen on either Facebook oron the Cricut MB.

I will start with the word books I have made and two off the page creations. It is going to take quite a while to add all the card pictures.

I will try to blog more in 2013

WOW, I can't believe it has been over twoyears since I last blogged. I think in 2013 I should rectify that. I will try and post more of my card creations, I won't promise but I will try :)

Wedding invites

2010-09-05T22:14:00.002+10:00

One of my co-workers commissioned me to make her wedding invites for her. The order was for 100 of them and they took forever to finish, but I am very happy with how they turned out. There is a pocket for motel locations and maps as the wedding is taking place in New Zealand and the bride and groom live in Australia.

I am a very lucky and happy girl

I have a new addition to my Cricut family, I would like you all to meet King Cricut (like King Tut). He is a very shiny golden Expression. These were available using the points collected from Cricut cartridges and if you saved up 8000 points and if you were fast enough you could get one of the 12 on offer. I was one of the lucky 12 that got one, I did have some help from a very special friend of mine who helped with a few extra points that I needed and shipping it to me once it was shipped to her place first. I will be getting a glass display case made for him as he is too pretty to use LOL. He also came with two gold cartridges.

So here he is in all his shining glory.

Vinyl project

2010-09-05T21:40:00.001+10:00

I did two vinyl projects this week, one using heat transfer vinyl and one using wall vinyl. I also used the Block Party Lite cartridge from the Cricut range of cartridges.

Project one using the heat transfer vinyl for my husbands birthday t-shirt.

Project two using the wall vinyl. I placed the design on the power box above the BBQ area.

Finally found time to craft

2010-08-16T08:27:00.003+10:00

I have been super busy with work and have had not energy or desire to craft. But work has slowed down a bit and I do have more energy and want to get into my craftroom and craft. I finished up two projects that got pushed to the side due to work taking all my time so here they are.

First up is some very cool teen boys cards. I find making male cards of any age a challenge, but with the Dude! Cricut Lite cartridge, and a selection of embossing folder including the new Tim Holtz collection of embossing folder, I found it pretty easy to come up with some.

The next project I finished over the weekend was some cute note pads. I got the idea from the Cricut message board where some very talented girls showed their versions. The ones I saw on the Cricut site had the inside pages cut out the same shape as the cover critters, but I found this to be a bit time consuming (remember I was very time poor due to work LOL) so I decided to make the pages and cover up in a regular pad style and added the critters on the cover, they are mostly smaller than the critters to add a fun aspect to them, they also have a back of the critters on the back cover (see the last two pics).

Forever Young birthday cards

2010-06-20T22:06:00.000+10:00

Well after finishing the boy cards (only took me two months) I decided to make some more cards today, surprisingly I made 20 in a day. These are for teenagers or young girls. I used the Forever Young Cricut cartridge.

Boy birthday card, finally :)

2010-06-20T09:57:00.000+10:00

That's correct after a small break (working way to many hours to make cards) I have finally finished the boy birthday cards that I started a couple of months ago. So here they are, I used the Cricut Robotz cartridge, a great one for cards for boys of all ages.

Mother's Day vase cards

2010-04-10T11:28:00.000+10:00

yes that's correct still no birthday cards LOL. But I can see 40% of my table top, so some cleaning did get done.

Here are the Mother's Day cards I made.

Double embossed wedding cards

2010-04-04T10:16:00.000+10:00

I am supposed to be cleaning my craft room then making birthday cards and what do I do, make wedding cards LOL
So here they are, they are all white and simple but I like them I hope the customers do.

Mother's Day cards

2010-04-02T20:14:00.004+10:00

With Mother's day fast approaching I thought it was time to make up some cards for the next market day.
I found this great tutorial to make Flower Pot Pocket cards by Stephanie Luman, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/flowerpotpocket/
Here is my interpretation of Stephanie's cards.
The first two photos show the hidden card both inside and outside the flower pot.

Finally got my card mojo back

2010-03-08T19:22:00.000+10:00

I am starting a new blog to showcase my new found card mojo. It is so good to be able to share with you my new creation, please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

I have been making cards in 'sets' it is a great way to make up lots of cards at once. So here is my first set.

I used the Cricut A Child's Year cartridge and just love the modern vintage feel I got.

The next set I have to show was designed on the Gypsy using the Cricut Hello Kitty Font and Hello Kitty Greetings carts.

The last set for this post is a set of wedding cards, using Nestabilities ans stamps. I love the simple elegance of theses.
