After escaping capture on his home world, Sonic made his home on Earth where he lives in solitude and survives on wild imagination.  That is until he draws the attention of government funded tech bro Dr. Robotnik.  Now Sonic has to go on the run (snicker), to save himself and his friends while Jim Carrey chews scenery like it’s the most delicious bubble gum ever created.

Years after the events of Kick-Ass, Dave Lizewski decides to put the Kick-Ass mask back on, while Hit Girl Mindy-Macready tries to be a normal high school girl.  And 2013 edgy wackiness ensues.  Does it hold up?  Maybe.  Does it have a literal shit joke?  You bet it does!  Tons of bloody action?  Sometimes. And debate the Snark Knights do as they weave their way through with some surprising results you’ll have to hear to believe!

We dive into 2004’s Spider-Man 2, first of its name.  This brings to close our own trilogy of reviews for the (mostly) incredible Sam Raimi trilogy.  It’s been a journey following these kids from high school to emotionally abusive adult relationships.  And lots of crying from us and them.  Seriously, there are basically five main characters throughout this trilogy and they all cry so much.  Not that there’s anything wrong with crying of course but why so serious? Oh wait, we already did that movie.  Why am I still typing about this?  I could have stopped at any time.  Even that seems like the setup to a joke, but no, I’m just going mad.

Anyway, come take a break from this garbage fire of a world and join us as we discuss what is still one of the best superhero movies ever. Your Spidey sense might be tingling but if that just turns out to be melancholy or depression, we have your back because we’re also kinda melancholic and depressed. But really, Black Panther exists as both a solid superhero popcorn movie while also delivering a level of social commentary that doesn’t really exist in mainstream superhero blockbusters. It may not always land on all fours (sorry, last one) but it takes a big step in the right direction. Plus, it gives us a lot to talk about! So get yourselves wrapped up nice and snug in your virtue signal flag because as we get into the highs and lows and mediums of Black Panther.

This movie has aged really well thanks to a great cast, sharp story, and lots of charm. It has a legacy that is still seen in today’s Spider-Man films. And the legacy of J.K. Simmons utterly owning, in perpetuity, the role of JJ Jameson. But there’s so much more to love about this film so join us as we do our best to do it justice.

Travel back in time with us to when newspapers were still a thing and those same papers had yet to inform us how terrible some of the people involved in this movie are. Watch as the Man of Steel behaves more like the Jealous Stalker of Feels, as this overlong homage reduces one of our all-time favorite fictional characters into a petty weirdo.
