In4mation x Etnies Sal 23

Its been a long time coming, however the release date for the almighty return of the Etnies Sal 23 is set to drop this weekend, thanks in part to a collaboration with Hawaiian lifestyle brand In4mation. The sneaker has received a contemporary update with a slimmed down profile to reflect the evolution of skate footwear. Both a black leather and red suede version will release at In4mation's two locations Ward & Waikiki on June 7th.

Nike 2008 Fall/Winter Footwear Preview

Previews have surfaced regarding various Nike sub-collections and their upcoming footwear releases for the 2008 fall/winter collection. The usual suspects include the Dunk and Air Max 90 which is featured alongside some interesting hybrids including the continuation of the Air Jordan x Air Force 1 campaign. Another highlight includes an ACG Gore-Tex version of the Blazer.

Chinatown Soccer Club x adidas Top Sala

When I first came across this collaboration, I was pleasantly surprised to see the soccer loving collective of Chinatown Soccer Club rewarded with a collaboration with the quintessential soccer brand adidas. In a soccer world where aside from signature models, collaborations are few and far between this was a definite surprise, on one of adidas' little known contemporary products nonetheless. For those unaware, the CSC is a group of individuals who from different backgrounds were brought together sharing similar loves for the Beautiful Game. With an intense passion for the game, this isn't overruled by a respect for others on the pitch and a strong desire for developing great experiences. The Top Sala will launch on June 14th with special festivities taking place. At CSC's home turf, the venue will be filled with BBQ, drinks and of course soccer with special events and projects as well. Look for New York's streets to also develop a CSC flare as a special poster campaign is initiated. CLOT Royale x Visvim Christo

From a recent visit at Kaws' office, EDC gives us a look at the newly updated samples of the Christos featuring gold buckles instead of black, seen on the original. These will be available later this month at Juice in Hong Kong.

adidas Skateboarding Food Court Collection

In an unofficial team-up with your local food court fast food purveyors, adidas has created a pack of sneakers in their color likeness. For the Polson ST and the Superstar Vulc, each pay homage to cheap delights such as Orange Julius and Sbarro respectively. These should hit most adidas skate retailers later this month with another two models to feature alongside these.

Jun Matsui x Nike Dunk Electric Part 2

We gave you a preview of the Dunk Electric by Jun Matsui and Nike here, now let us show you some pictures from the launch event and take a closer look at the shoes itself. It seems that the left and right shoe uses different shoelaces, one gold and the other brown. Overall, the shoes give off a very natural vibe, being covered with brown leather and shown off on a tree trunk podium.

With all the rage with super hero films and the like, Nike has incorporated this theme into their Nike Team of Heroes, a site dedicated to Israeli basketball powerhouse Maccabi Elite. The team has been transformed into a legion of heroes complete with their own comic cards. Also incorporated with the project is a capsule of products ranging from custom Air Force 1s and t-shirts. The Air Jordan Force XX (AJF 20) has just been previewed via the Nike/Jordan Holiday 2008 collection pictures that were released via Sneakers.fr. It’s say to say that although these Force Fusions looked like they had some potential the final product if this is what will be released is a bit lackluster in the aesthetics category. Using an all patent leather Black upper this Force Fusion does nothing to really bring out the best qualities of the Jordan XX. Maybe some of the other colorways will do a better job. via Sneakers.fr

Nike Hyperdunk - Olympics - China Colorway

A couple weeks ago we gave you an in depth look at the Olympics Yi Jian Lian Hyperdunk and now thanks to one of our friend’s in China, PM-Lab, we have some detailed pictures of the Chinese National Team’s Hyperdunk that uses a similar colorway and blocking technique as Yi’s. It’s reported that most of the National Team aside from players who have contracts with other competitor brands, such as Yao Ming, will wear these Red and Yellow Hyperdunks. Note the Yi Jian Lian pair used Gold as opposed to Yellow. No word on whether or not these will be released but we’re sure they’ll look good to match the new Chinese National Team jerseys. via PM-Lab

Nike Blazer High x Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM) - Black

The first round of the Nike x Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM) Blazer High’s in a Light Lavender color sold out almost instantaneously when they were released a month or so ago at DQM in New York City. Now the second pair that we were shown prior to the first release will be released on June 7th only at DQM. This pair is identical in almost every aspect but the most important, color, this pair comes in Black as opposed to Light Lavender but still features the dope Safari print that we’ve been seeing used more and more from Nike as of late. Word is that the Nike x DQM Blazers will also be released worldwide at select Tier 0 shops . via DQM

The good peoples at Marquee Sole is at it again, bringing you the newest early-release, the Air Jordan Force III in Black, Metallic Gold and Varsity Red which doesn’t even have a release date yet. Well, some are saying July 1st, 2008 but its not official yet. With these beauty shots, they are definitely look good with an upper of black patent leather, black elephant print, gold contrast stitching, varsity red lining and gold laces. The sole is also pretty nice with red stitching, a clear layer over the gold midsole with the visible Max Air Unit, and a very brilliant red outsole. A unique detail on these are the words “Best on Earth” written into the back heel and on a similar white pair, the words “Best on Mars” are also written into the back heel. This leads to the question, are they Spike Lee inspired colorways? While we wait for an official release date and some more info, you can already cop these on Marquee Sole.

Similar to the black version of this AJF 3 we just put up, this white version also features premium leathers and accenting colors. As with the black pair, this White, Metallic Gold and Varsity Red AJF 3 also does not have an official release date yet. Some are saying July 1st, 2008 but its not official yet. The beauty shots, definitely make the leathers and materials on these look good. Jordan Brand has definitely been stepping up its game this year, stepping away from its traditional models in favor of a number of new designs. Among these are the Jordan High Rise Lows, designed with the upcoming summer months in mind. Nike just dropped this nice and simple Blazer High with a Dark Obsidian cloth upper, white swoosh and sole. And just for a little color, a set of sunburst (blood orange) laces. For those who want to have a nice a and simple look you can easily replace the laces with a set of dark blue or even white laces to keep the shoe monotoned. With the familiar colors and materials that so many people love from the Air Max 90 on this edition of the Air Force 1, this pair of kicks definitely delivers the best of both worlds: the classic design of the Air Force 1, combined with the treasured colorway of the Infrared. Air Jordan Force V (AJF 5) - White - Black - Varsity Red

The Jordan Force V (AJ 5) has been well received by a number of people due to a striking resemblance of the shoe to the actual original Jordan V, the only problem is that there have been no original colorway releases until now. The latest JB Force Fusion release is this Jordan Force V (AJ 5) in White, Black, and Varsity Red with a stitched 23 on the back of the upper. Add on the fact that these have an “Ice” outsole and it seems like you have your first major Jordan Force V hit on your hands. These shoes just hit retailers but we’re sure they’ll be off the shelves in no time. You can pick them up at the ARC in New York or other fine Jordan Brand retailers.

Air Jordan Esterno for June & September 2008

This year seems to be THE year for Jordan Brand, as they’re definitely taking huge steps away from their core products, Air Jordan 1 through Air Jordan XX3. In doing this, Jordan Brand has created many new models, including the Air Jordan Esterno. The Esterno is, as Jordan Brand puts it, “a team shoe crafted for the rugged nature of outdoor basketball.” It appears to be a very heavy, durable shoe; this is definitely no Hyperdunk, at least in terms of weight. However, the trade-off in durability is more than worth it- for those out there who love outdoor basketball, but are tired of replacing worn-out kicks, these shoes will be worth their weight in gold.

Sneaker Shopping Update - From The Rivington Club

Usually we do one of these updates for the weekend but since this past weekend was a bit slow and a lot of the shoes dropped on Monday, we thought we’d do one for you beginning of the week shoppers. Lot of big releases for a few major silhouettes, in Air Force 1s: Purple Forst Air Force 1 WMNS, White and Neon Yellow Air Force 1, Air Max 90 Infrared inspired AF1 and the AJF 5 Fusion in White, Black and Red has finally dropped. Three new Nike Vintage two-tone Dunks are now available, White with Light Grey, Green and Black. For those interested, the Terminator Color Pack with a pair each in Green, Purple and Orange. Only youth sizes of the Air Jordan VI Olympic are left and select sizes of the military Air Jordan 1 are still available. And finally, the intense Air Stab Runnin’ and Gunnin’ with Elephant Print and Infrared along with the matching shirt just dropped today.

For all the ladies that love canvas out there, Nike has just dropped these women’s Air Force 1’s in a Purple Frost/White colorway. As mentioned, canvas is the primary material used in these shoes; for the female canvas-heads out there, these are definitely the perfect kicks.
