We've seen homemade speakers crafted from all sorts of unusual objects, but these new sneaker speakers built for a design competition by professional sneaker customizer Nashmoney might just be the new king in town. As you can see, they started out as a regular pair of Nike Air Force 1s, and all of the speaker components are built right into the sneakers, including the amplifier and the controls. Of course, they're also one of a kind, but you can find some pictures and details of the build process at the link below if you have an old pair of kicks you'd like to try to retrofit yourself.

2010 Black History AF1

FINALLY THE BLACK HISTORY AF1 WILL BE RELEASED 2 DA PUBLIC.

Nike Sportswear commemorates Black History Month with its newest Air Force 1 release. Comprised of inspirational elements, the shoe touts an original design, which pays homage to the rise of Black enterprise, economic empowerment and the Harlem Renaissance individual behind this rise.

The shoe’s main inspiration is clearly imprinted onto the upper: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.” Silhouettes of a man and woman on the sock liner and hang tag signify that the change celebrated by Black History Month was made possible only by the participation of both genders. The boldest detail of the AF1 is its colorway, black red and green – the colors of the African American flag.

In the tradition of community and giving back, Nike will be making a donation to Cheyney University, the oldest Black institution in the country and a key inspiration in the creation of this shoe.

R.I.P. 5ifty Percent

Anyone that has a family member or friend: that works in Footlocker should know about the once a month 50% off sale. Rumor has it that the last 50% off sale was Dec 16-17. Everyone will sure miss the 5ifty percent off, but the good news is that the employee discount will be raised 10 percent. Employees will now move from 30 percent to 40 percent. There is one rumor lurking stating that they may give one more 5fity next month and that will be the last one for good. We will just have to wait and see.

Bo Jackson Gets It In

Pine Green SC Trainer

Nike is back at it once again with retro+ colors. How does the Pine green Bo look too you? It reminds me of the Ray Allen P.E. 8. The only major color difference is that the Bo's have white in the color scheme.

Now my next question is when did these drop? They popped up out of nowhere and now their all sold out on the niketown website. You heard it here first.

While out in the Sneaker store we noticed a pair of Mountain Gear boots that resembles the Goadomes. One even has the Eggplant colorway.

Retro SC Trainer Raiders 1997 Vs 2009

We heard that they were dropping the Raiders colorway in December of 09’, but they were released today at 21 Mercer. Samples were posted on the web sometime back in June. The samples didn’t show that this retro would have the number 34 on the back.
Rumors were tossed in the air stating the the O.G. raiders colorway would return once again in 2010 with the number 34 on the back. I guess we won’t be looking forward for the O.G. colorway anymore.

People were going nuts because they believed that the O.G. color would drop with the number 34 on the back. Some people would have taken the O.G. color without the 34. Let us know which retro is better. The 1997 or the 2009.

AF1/SB Homer Simpson

Ok a lot of people missed the chance to grab the Homer Simpson dunk. Some people were either not into dunks at the time or they just missed them. Some people who were fortunate enough to get the chance to go to NIKEID255 were able to ID their version of the AF1 Homer with their twist.

Well a few people have seen post with DjCK mashing together AF1 & SB's a lot of people are not to fond of the ideal. Others like them, but to DjCK he doesn't care. He's doing them for himself. I must say that this pair is tough. Oh yeah their won't be a release for these.

MORE THAN A GAME. A movie based on the life of Lebron James will be coming out soon. You can bet that Nike will do everything to help promote this movie. The movie has a soundtrack and the first single has Drake, Kayne West, Lil Wayne and Eminem on it. Moving forward with effort to promote the movie The NBA store has a little something going on.

MORE THAN A GAME Hoops Competition
Where: NBA Store, 666 Fifth Avenue @ W. 53rd St.
When: Thursday, October 1st
Time: 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
What: Play a game of P-I-G to for a chance to win a the grand prize: a MORE THAN A GAME poster signed by LeBron James and other prizes valued at $150. Mini posters and trading cards will be given away to everyone while supplies last!

Here are the rules of the game for everyone who participates.

Rules (list of rules will also be printed and given out to participants. These will be the rules in use
for the competition and not any other variation of the rules):

H-O-R-S-E or P-I-G

In H-O-R-S-E, the object is to be the last to accrue the five letters, H-O-R-S-E. Often, the shots in H-O-R-S-E are trick shots and/or lucky shots designed to make the other person miss. H-O-R-S-E is played with two or more persons.

In H-O-R-S-E, player #1 is allowed to shoot from anywhere on the court. If he makes the shot, then player #2 must duplicate the same shot from the same position. If player #2 misses, he/she receives the first "letter" from the word "horse", "H".

However, if player #1 missed his original shot; then player #2 would be free to shoot from anywhere on the court and, if he makes it, force the next player (player #1 if there are only two players; or #3 if there are more than two players) to try and duplicate his made shots.

The first player to spell "horse" loses.

Auburn 98 Retro for sale on ebay for $549.99

While browsing on eBay for some old SC Trainers one auction caught my eye. This particular auction caught my eye for two reasons. (1). The auction had a DS pair of Auburn SC Trainers from 98 for sale. (2). The price was just crazy in my eyes. I must admit I’ve been looking for a DS pair of Auburns from 98 for some time now. For the simple fact, that I expected the 2009 pair to have less quality of the 98 version. Sure enough I was correct.

For all the SC Trainer heads out here please express your opinion via blog or email and elaborate on the price of this auction. Let us know if you think that price is just crazy or would you spend that price on that beau2ful retro. The link for thought.

Who is Vincent Edwards? pt.2

Who is Vincent Edwards you may ask? Well for those of you not in the knowing. Vincent Edwards is one of the greatest athletes ever. He played two Sports Football and Baseball. If that doesn't, give you a hint yet. Vincent Edwards is better known as Bo Jackson. He was a running back for the L.A. Raiders. He played left field and designated hitter for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and the California Angels. Bo was such a great athlete that he was named an all-star in both sports. Before his professional career, he earned the 1985 Heisman Trophy.

Let’s take a trip back to the year of 1989. Bo did so much that it was only right for Nike make ties with the man himself. A campaign started the BO KNOWS campaign. At that time Nike just launched their Cross Training shoe. The Cross Training shoe was designed to do everything in dam near. So it was only right that Nike picked BO to represent that shoe since he played every sport. BO played football, baseball, basketball and he ran track. BO even stepped into the video game world with games for Nintendo and Gameboy. He even appeared in a cartoon called the Pro Stars (BO KNOWS EVERYTHING)

Most of you may be wondering, where is he going with this? Well let me explain before SB's, Air Max and Air Force 1's. BO Jackson's were the sneakers that everyone wanted. They purchased them in multiply colors. The kicks were comfy and just plain HOT. From 1989 until 1995 BO's were dropping like someone clumsy was holding them. My favorite BO is the SC Trainer. The two hottest color ways are The Auburn which will be retroed soon and the Raiders color way.

If anyone from Nike is reading this. You need to know that their lot of SC Trainer heads out there. Were in hiding as of now because were waiting on those O.G. color ways to come back please don't disappoint us. With that said SneakrAddicts DVD decided to add some pics from a few BO heads.
