As reported earlier, SNSD performed at a special edition of KBS Music Bank in Paris!  Our girls performed “The Boys,” along with “Hoot,” “Gee,” and “Mr. Taxi.”  About 10,000 fans were in attendance at Bercy Stadium.

Another picture backstage was taken with MC Sohn Mina along with this message to SONEs.

“Tada~ A proof shot with Girls’ Generation! I was a Girls’ Generation [member] at heart at this moment, too~ㅋ An unnie’s heart flutters this much, I wonder how it is for oppas and samchons. These girls with lovable smiles despite their deadly schedules. I hope they become more mature and great, and that they take steps towards becoming world stars”

And of course you can’t have a concert without a group shot!

Our dear maknae has been chosen as the most likely idol to shine in a plain white t-shirt and jeans.  A poll was held from January 31st to February 7 2012 on an online community.

Seohyun garnered 2,206 (23.6%) of the total 9,356, taking her to the top!  She was chosen due to her “golden” body proportions, being tall, slim waist and small face.  Surprisingly (or maybe not) Jessica came in second with 1,883 (20.1%) of the votes.

Going back to maknae, I think she totally deserves this poll win.  The plain white totally shows her innocence and what a good person she is.  Always being our maknae, always doing the right things!  Congrats Seohyun, hwaiting!

After only coming back for a short week, it looks like the Big Apple will be getting some more of our ‘Black Pearl’.

As we all know Yuri recently stepped down from her position as Music Core MC to shoot her upcoming SBS Drama Fashion King.

The cast and crew of the Korean drama has been confirmed to be heading to New York City according to SportsSeoul.com to shoot some scenes for the first episode. Yuri Kwon, Yoo Ah In, Shin Se Kyung, and Lee Jae Hoon left Korea on February 13th and arrived in New York City for a projected 2 week stay. The metropolis will serve as the setting where the 4 characters first meet.

According to a source close to the production, the cast and crew will be shooting in particularly trendy neighborhoods and a unnamed Fashion school in New York.

While nothing is officially confirmed, I can’t help but think that we can expect to hear more Yuri english in the drama. It’ll be interesting to see how her character ‘Anna Choi’ interacts with the city since she appears to be Korean American.

With that, it appears that some NYC SONEs will get a chance to meet and greet her during her stay.

As we all know, the 9 ladies of SNSD were recently chosen to be advertising models for the Korean gaming brand “Freestyle Sports“. Well, following that, our favourite So Nyuhs have recently been featured in the Korean gaming magazine “IT’S B” for an article on “Freestyle Sports”, the brand that the ladies are currently endorsing.

To that end, extremely gorgeous solo shots of our favourite beautiful ladies have been taken and posted online for all SONEs to enjoy. I must say that ALL 9 look positively radiant and beautiful here, no exceptions whatsoever  !

Being hi-res images, I’m pretty sure some tech-savvy SONE will be able to make some beautiful wallpapers for their computer screens from them.

Well, the 9 ladies of SNSD are certainly approaching the status of achieving true worldwide recognition.

Their recent appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman” and “Live With Kelly” during the Girls’ visit to the States to promote the international version of “The Boys” album was deemed news worthy enough to be featured in several countries’ television news channels; a credible feat indeed.

Here’s a brief line-up of the various TV news channels that featured this bit of news about our 9 ladies’ foray into the US music scene:

1) Malaysian news channel “NTV7″

2) Ukrainian news channel “News One Channel”

3)  French television show “Morandini”

 4) Italian entertainment channel “RAI 5″

5) Indonesian network channel “TransTV”

6) Spanish news channel “La Sexta”

(In fact, “La Sexta” even went so far as to feature several clips of the Girls’ performances and interviews in New York, music video clips and even a video clip that documented the 9 ladies’ visit to a Korean army camp. According to netizen mrotaik@twitter, the news clip actually stated that this is the first time that a South Korean pop group has appeared on a Spanish music chart  ).

The future aspirations of our favourite 9 ladies may actually have been unwittingly revealed during their recent interview by Japan’s “TBS News”, who travelled to New York to attend the press conference held by the Girls. Amid a series of questions posed, it was asked what the objectives of the Girls were, to which Tiffany jokingly replied ” World domination. Just kidding.”

Well, jokingly or not, our favourite 9 talented young ladies are slowly, but surely, achieving that dream of world domination in the music scene. SNSD Daebak !

Official pictures from the SBS drama “Fashion King” have been released!

The show will first air March 12th at 9:55PM.  The drama is about young aspiring fashion designers all the way up to world class designers battling it out for supremacy.  It’s based at Dongdaemun Market in Seoul (known as a hot spot for cheap, trendy clothes).  And, of course, it wouldn’t be a drama without love triangles.  So watch the fireworks fly in this drama!

SNSD’s Kwon Yuri will be playing the role of Choi Anna, a girl in her early 20′s who looks perfectly polished on the outside, but deep inside, desperately longs for companionship. She worked so hard to appear confident, and developed a thick skin in order to endure her life that is full of pain and heartache. But now, she’s ready to stop pretending.

Actor Lee Jae Hoon will play the role of Jung Jae Hyuk, a male in his late 20′s. He has always had it all, and never felt like he was missing anything in life. That is, until he meets a girl that gives him something to live for.

Shin Sae Kyung will be playing the role of Lee Ga Young, a woman in her early 20′s who although lived a difficult life but never gave up on hope of better days. She was determined that she too, would one day become a designer just like her mother. One fateful day she meets a new man, and the two of them seek out to fulfill their dreams together.

Actor Yoo Ah In will play the role of Kang Young Gul, a male in his late 20′s who has never had real goals, or dreamt of a bright future. He let others walk all over him his entire life, and only prayed that he would never cause any harm to hinderance to anyone. In a world where he was told that having a vision for life was foolish, he meets a woman who inspires him to run towards his dreams.

SNSD had their first US fan signing event at Best Buy in Union Square, New York City on February 2nd!

Many fans lined up with enthusiasm to meet the girls up close and personal for the first time on US soil.  And, of course, they brought all sorts of souvenirs with them to be signed, including CDs, posters, photo books and more!

The fan sign was a big success with 8 of the 9 girls in attendance.  No Jessica though  .  Sorry Gorjess Spazzers, maybe next time  .  Let’s hope they have another fan sign soon here on the West Coast so us West Coasters can make you East Coasters jelly this time  .  Below are the official SMTOWN pictures from the event!  SNSD daebak!

Attention all SunShiners! Sunny will be making her musical debut for the Korean production of ‘Catch Me If You Can’.

The script of the musical is based around the famous hollywood movie of the same name (which is based around the auto-biographical book by Frank Abagnale Jr and Stan Redding). The story is centered around real life con-artist Frank Abagnale Jr. and his famous run from the FBI. He travels the world depositing millions of dollars worth of bad cheques, pretending to be all sorts of people, ranging from a pilot, attorney, teacher and even a doctor.

Sunny has been casted to play the role of ‘Brenda Strong’ who plays the main love interest of Frank in the story. The con-man falls in love with her, and eventually divulges his real identity, and makes plans to runaway with her. The only thing standing in his way is FBI agent Carl Hanratty, who has been tasked with catching the illusive man.

Other notable SMTown members will participate in the musical alongside our lovely Sunny. The cast will include CSJH The Grace’s Dana (who will split the role or Brenda with Sunny), and SHINee’s Key and Super Juniors Kyuhyunwill split the lead role of Frank Abagnale Jr.

Interestingly it looks like SM stars are taking all the starring roles as Tiffany just finished her musical ‘Fame’ just last week. Now Sunny can join Tiffany, Taeyeon, Jessica as the the members of SNSD who have done musicals.

‘Catch Me If You Can’ will be playing at the ‘Blue Square Samsung Card Hall’ in Seoul and will have its first show on March 28th. The production will end on June 10th, so be sure to pick up your tickets soon as they are already being sold and the fans from the 3 big SM fandoms (SONEs, Shawols, ELFs) have already crashed the site with orders.

Performances will be happening every day of the week except for Monday’s with showtimes that begin in the afternoon and end in the evenings (3-7PM Sunday, 4-8PM Tuesday-Saturday).
