As you read this, I should be in Phuket with the rest! :D

Here's just a quick update about a day when we were all incredibly bored so we headed to Illuma to catch a movie (This Means War - which wasn't fantastic...)! Everyone should just go to Illuma for movies because it's SO EMPTY. You'll never have to worry about cinemas being fully booked & you'll have awesome seats! They still have quite a lot of restaurants open too, just that you have to source them out amidst all the construction work.

Eric, Yutaki & I! I wanted to do cute collages & whatnot for these pictures because Yutaki is really good at them but... I couldn't be bothered T_T too much work & I needed to pack for Phuket!

Apparently Miyake does this pose all the time haha.

Thankfully this looks ok from far... If you zoom in on my face I look so bloody retarded winking!

Reminds me of that thing guys say... "hot from far, far from hot" :x

Headed over to Haji Lane after the movie; we went into this shop that does console game rentals! It's kind of like a LAN shop, except for Wiis... etc. Yutaki & I played some zombie game & I kept shouting at him because his gun would be EMPTY & he'd keep shooting at the screen still -_-

Went a little further down to Shisha! We tried Bubblegum flavour & it sort of did taste like it I guess.

Yutaki likes to use the High Key mode on my camera (Lumix G3) & for me it's always incredibly blurry. But... it sort of works for him.

My traitor of a camera decides to blur me out all the time & focus on Yutaki >:(

Nuffnang is 5!

O.O I'm one of the last Nuffnang bloggers to blog about their birthday party!

I think the last person is Yutaki, but he's in a category of his own since his blogposts & photos only turn up 6 to 12 months later #troll.

The birthday bash was held at Swissotel Stamford, in a private function room on the 69th floor!

I first signed up at Nuffnang's website in January 2009! I remember blogging about it too, because my mom had just cut off my allowance then (pre-uni break) hahahaha.

I was allowance-less for 8 months O.O

So yeah... best excuse then to try out the be-paid-to-blog thing!

I officially signed the contract sometime in May last year, so I've been with Nuffnang as a "talent"/contracted blogger for slightly less than a year! :D

The Nuffnang staff (called Nuffies) did up this cute backdrop with accessories for us to take photos with!

It's a really great idea for parties; you can do it for your birthday, wedding, baby shower, miscellaneous vain girls' gathering... Lots of cute photos!

Tim is the other co-founder & he's getting married to Malaysian blogger Audrey! Their meme proposal video has over 2 million views! It's very sweet; I cried watching it hahaha T_T

Chua En Lai from The Noose did stand-up comedy! He took on one of his The Noose roles, which was the Thai newscaster (or random personality, not sure lol)!

They had to do a "pole dance" around the mike stand O.O LOL

One of the other challenges: Drawing a caricature of Ming! It was naturally left to Wendy because she's the best at drawing lol. Our table won because of her drawing!

Overall the items at Stephie's Shop are very wearable & comfortable (pretty much how I described all 3 pieces I received) so it's great for everyday wear, but I know they also sell more formal designs for the office :) I didn't look because I'm not working yet so I prefer designs suitable for school!

Wore the dress out to school + Xiaxue's house that day, so here's how it looks like without flash!

I know my room looks like a wreck :X Unpacking is a major pain... It's all winter clothes anyway, so it's not like I need them anytime soon! So they can theoretically stay in there for...ever.

Anyway Xiaxue (in person we say Wendy of course - definitely took some getting used to) invited us to her house for dinner + movie! We went to Pasir Ris first to buy the ingredients!

Guide to Posting Camwhore Photos

Here are ~~three~~ ~~four~~ five ways to post camwhore photos of yourself on your blog without looking like it means ~ too much ~ to you. Like you know, you're just ~ casually ~ inserting these nice photos of you.

No, no, you didn't spend any time at all checking the picture, re-taking it, editing it...

1) Be outrightly shameless about it. This is called Le Bongqiuqiu.

This makes you look like you are too cool to care about people thinking you're a show-off/arrogant about your looks. You got it? You flaunt it! If your skin is thick enough, no one will bother trying to insult you because you are too outrightly shameless already.

Additional points:

Put a disclaimer. This slightly decreases your cringe-worthiness because you are shameless about being shameless. You can also say things like, "I already had nice makeup on that day" (possibly true).

2) Make it seem deep/Tumblr-ish.

Attention seeking? Moi? Not at all. I photograph myself to convey my emotions. Don't you see my black & white photos? Don't you see how I look off into the distance? Can't you see my pain & suffering? Yes, the boobage/cleavage is absolutely necessary. It's all artistic license.
This is just ~ me ~, shedding (literally) the superficiality of the world.

Lots of these photos of me are in fact candids! I didn't know I was being photographed! You caught me in a moment of deep intellectual though *wink*. Oh right, except it's a PHOTOBOOTH PICTURE. *giggle* Must have been my cat! Naughty thing, loves stepping on my laptop; hits the "capture" button!

3) Mix your camwhore photos with completely irrelevant quotes about life.

Ralph Waldo Emerson! Einstein! Margaret Atwood! Charlie Chaplin!

Never mind that you don't know anything about these people, or whether they even said it. You just know they're somebody, because they're always written on pretty images on Tumblr! But it makes it look like you know... this is from your ~ personal ~ collection of favourite quotes that you live by.

Better yet, don't even credit them! It'll make it seem like you came up with it! The more quotes the merrier, because you can slip in more photos of yourself. Dear readers, do ponder the wisdom of this quote I've included while gazing at this picture of me.

4) Talk about how insecure you really are. A favourite across ages! Timeless classic!

Omg I'm so fat & I'm so ugly & I wish I was prettier (don't we all)! I'll never be pretty, I'll never be good enough, I failed because I'm not pretty enough (irrelevant). I hate my looks so much, that's why I take all these photos of myself & post them all! But other girls will feel they can really ~ connect ~ with me because I'm so ~ real ~

Bonus point: Sit back & wait for the "omg you're SO NOT fat/ugly/etc"!

Personally I prefer method (1). The one I dislike the most... probably (2).

For (4), it's normal to be insecure. Lots of girls don't usually feel comfortable/happy with their photos/looks. So it's great if there are some photos of you that you really like & you want people to see it! We all pick flattering photos of ourselves for Facebook, Twitter etc... to portray the "us" we want. So if you do find some you like, good on you, go ahead & be shameless! But you say you feel like this all the time... but also post camwhore photos of yourself all the time? Don't make a mockery out of girls who genuinely feel this way. It's not empowering. It's not girl power. They don't feel any better seeing photos of a supposedly "ugly" girl who... is actually pretty & complains about it.

Also applies to slim/skinny/healthy girls who moan about their weight all the time.
Skinny-girl-mon used #FISHINGFORCOMPLIMENTS! It's very effective!

Better shameless than a liar (2 - 4). Actually (3) is relatively harmless. Just very poseur hahaha.

Heard of the new movie coming to cinemas?
JOHN CARTER!

I watch a lot of movies so I've been seeing the trailers for this movie & it looks super exciting!

O.OBIG, CREEPY MONSTERSHOT GUY(thought process) LOL
AND WAIT...This is happening on Mars!
Are you lost already?WATCH THE TRAILER! :D

Alaric has been super keen on catching this movie ever since we first saw the trailer! And aren't you, after seeing the trailer? It looks damn exciting!
Lots of fast-paced action & the monsters/animals (animals on Mars? haha) & setting look super real!

The great cinematography is because this movie comes from Academy Award® – winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton! John Carter is an action-adventure movie set on the mysterious & exotic Barsoom (Mars). The story is actually based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures have served as inspiration for many filmmakers both past & present!
Wait, so who's John Carter?
Handsome guy with a hot bod - what's there not to like? :D

The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is somehow inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions among the inhabitants of the planet!
In a world on the brink of collapse, John Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom & its people rests in his hands.
If Taylor Kitsch (the actor) looks familiar to you, that's because he was Gambit in X-Men: Origins! When I told Alaric (thought I'd impress him with my knowledge haha) he was thoroughly unimpressed - "I recognised him when I first saw the trailer". Ok my powers of observation have failed T_T
Never mind, let me impress you guys with some stills from the movie then!

Looks exciting right? Alien armies, alien fighter planes, green men...Haha the scenes that impress me the most are those with lots of aliens because they look funny! But in the trailer one of the aliens tells John Carter that he's ugly hahaha.
Ok so who's who you say?

This, unfortunate guy, is clearly John Carter. You'll have to watch the film to see how he gets out of this prickly situation!

This umm... ugly-looking thing... is well, Barsoom's version of a dog!Meet Woola - he's super fast & has very sharp teeth, but he's fiercely protective of John Carter! Awww.

This alien's name is Tars & he's the leader of the warriors (the good side)!Despite how tough he looks, he's actually very lovable ^^

This is Dejah Thoris & she is a PRINCESS! But she's no prissy one, because she herself fights to save her people in the battle.
And wait, the actress was ALSO in X-Men: Origins! She was Kayla Silverfox, Wolverine's wife!
So naturally aside from all the action, I'm GUESSING there'll be some romance :DBut I really have no clue so I'll be waiting to watch this movie too!

If I were suddenly on another planet... well clearly I'm not going to be the hero that fights all these monsters & then helps an army win against their enemies. Let's be realistic here LOL.So I hope that I arrive on a peaceful planet & I will then be able to explore EVERYTHING! Can you imagine a whole new world *cue music* with so much for you to discover? Maybe people can fly there? Or they can ride flying animals? Maybe they can teleport? Maybe you'd acquire powers/skills?w(^o^)w

HELLO MARCH!

It seems like just a week ago that New Year's Eve passed O.O

29th Feb - The Leap Year Day - bears zero significance to me beyond reminding me of that local movie (creatively titled The Leap Years)

I LIKED the movie.

The annoying part was how illogical it is to wait meet a person every 4 years.

And then lie & tell him you no longer have feelings for him -_-

Did a blogshop shoot for LadyHaute the other day so here are some photos from it!

This is an ASOS-inspired piece & I got to keep one!

I also got a pair of grey shorts from them which are really comfy! LadyHaute was actually around quite a long time ago but the owner stopped & then decided to re-launch it properly again; she's super nice so you're in good hands!

These shorts are actually DIY-ripped by the girl anyway (obviously I paid her to do it!) so that means anyone can do it really! One of my all-time favourite shorts is cut from old jeans.

I misspelt it both times above. Thank goodness for auto-correct.

Sultan Mosque near Arab Street. I didn't go in because females have to wear this robe thing to cover up.

We had to do a few short interviews for our Soci of Religion project so that's how I found out that Muslims have to tithe 25% of their earnings! For Christianity it's 10%. According to my Hindu friend, there is no stipulated amount in Hinduism.

LOL so now you know which religion to pick.

Headed over to the Perumal Temple (Hindu) at Serangoon Road after that, passing through Little India.

INSANELY CROWDED!

I'm stunned to see this many people in a single place & this was basically the sight everywhere. So that makes A LOT of people in Little India alone! Machiam music festival hahaha. Almost as crowded.

Friend: "You mean like a mosque?"

General knowledge fail. (Social Studies)/(Moral Education)/(Misc 30 minute timeslots teachers hate because they can't cover schoolwork) fail.

Tokyo Day 1

Blogging this on our last night in Tokyo! I'm done with my packing; winter wear is so bulky but I managed to close my suitcase without even using the extension! #victorykid.jpg

Alaric & I are coming back with over 10 stuffed toys though -_- of which 8 are the big kind. They're taking up 3 whole hand-carrys of their own. #dafuq

And the worst is that only 2 are mine.

So anyway on Day 1 (the day we reached), we simply headed out to Shinjuku to get dinner. Our hotel has a pretty good location because we're really near a metro station, which is only 2 stops away from Shinjuku. Had Japanese curry that night!

The Japanese love umbrellas O.O Umbrellas sell everywhere & even the hipster/punk guys carry them hahaha. And I notice they all love the transparent one!

I love the transparent umbrella too & my mom has had one for years (like for as long as I can remember, so 10+ years) but it's the non-foldable kind so you can't put it into your bag. SAME AS THE ONES THE JAPANESE USE. They literally walk around with the long, unfoldable umbrella in their hands! What dedication.

Tokyo has lots of Italian & Indian (North) restaurants/cuisine!

Curry for dinner:

This restaurant has a Japanese curry for EVERYTHING! Aside from your usual pork/chicken cutlet (I always get chicken) they have shrimp, calamari... even veggie!

And you can select your rice + spiciness level!

This place, has AWESOME curry by the way! It seems that it's a chain & it's also 24hours!

The place is very no-frills; almost like fast food but the food is really good! And at least they have English menus so ordering is much easier.

We actually went back twice in our 8 days just to eat their curry! Would like some now :(

We bought back one of their instant curry mixes to try. Probably the only food I'll miss from Tokyo; the rest I feel that I can get the same quality (if not better) & greater variety in Singapore because I already know where to find what.

While Tokyo has good food, the annoying thing is that they all specialise in one thing, e.g. Japanese curry, ramen, sushi etc... You can't even enter a sushi restaurant & hope for sashimi (although the ingredients are the same lol). They serve ONLY sushi, in which the choices are already very limited (like 20 options). This basically means both you & your friend(s) have to want to eat the same thing!

In that case I'd rather go to Sakae Sushi & be able to eat both udon & sushi :(

The Japanese also love strawberries! They have so many strawberry-related desserts & they are all very pretty & look super yummy! But... they are damn expensive :(

The above small strawberry shortcake costs S$8.50... I've even seen some selling at S$15/slice! As much as I wanted to try one, I can't bear to pay S$9 for a small piece because their portions are even smaller than those in Singapore.

Anyway today I found one selling at 400+ yen! Omg so happy. And it turned out really yummy!

Oh yeah they also like to RANK their products hahaha.

You'll see many shops doing this (food/clothes), highlighting their top 3 bestsellers.

Bought a Japanese magazine because I know they're pretty famous (like ViVi) so I wanted to see what one is like! I didn't see ViVi selling so I got this one; all their mags come with a free gift & this looked the best lol.

I also (primarily) picked this because I saw the photo had a Chanel powder/case/makeup of some sort, so I thought maybe it came with a small sample. It didn't. T_T

I love these kind of floaty-floaty warm photos!

But one thing... the Japanese models all look the same. The 3 girls above are 3 different girls & in this photo it's already more obvious. When I first flipped I thought it was the same model used a few times.

Another thing... I love the pictures & styling but... it seems a bit blogshop-ish? The way each page is spammed with one pose of each outfit with a simple studio background... looking at these pictures I think some of the Singaporean blogshop models could easily copy the poses & look similar!

But well I guess it's just different from the conventional magazine spreads!

And at least their outfits are wearable, not weird ones done according to the shoot theme.

Tried apple tea from another brand, also sucked. Got an orange juice thing another day, also very average. Bottomline, not a fan of the Japanese drinks!

Oh but they serve Oolong tea at a lot of places though!

Haha found it strange because it seems so Chinese to me.

Bundled up in long & sensible clothing!

My hair has super bad static here in Tokyo! It sticks ALL OVER.

Sticks to my face, coat, shopping bags, hat...

I think it has something to do with the insanely dry climate. My skin dies in dry weather too.

Super big can of Coke from the Family Mart near our hotel! Hehe that's really what it's called.

We have a 7-11 right across the street too; no real preference between the two but Family Mart is on the way from our MRT exit (super near our hotel - props to me for sourcing out the hotel!)

Hehe bought the ear muffs & bath sponge from Daiso! It's a 100 yen shop; 105 after tax - tax isn't included in shop prices but will be displayed on the price tag -> a bit bohliao.

Might as well just put the final price instead of two prices!

1) I don't use a bath sponge.

2) I don't even like bathing.

Hello from Tokyo!

This will just be a mini-post to say Konnichiwa! We didn't do anything at all after landing except to grab a dinner of yummy Japanese curry at Shinjuku!

Our flight landed at 1pm Tokyo time, then we had to sit on a (very expensive) train into Tokyo itself, which took 1.5hrs. Then... we got lost among the train system. For over another hour O.O

So we only got to our hotel at 5.15pm, at which I promptly conked out for a nap.

And to think I was thinking of slotting in a visit to DisneySea on the first day... hahaha.

Also... it's freaking freezing O.O (it was -2°C!)

Tokyo has lots of different train lines & some are rapid ones, some are subway lines, some are metro lines (yes, apparently there's a difference). So basically I think what happened is that we were circulating for a while on a more major metro line looking for our stop, when in fact we are on a subway line :S

And omg... Tokyo has bloody complicated, sophisticated & cheem toilets (NO JOKE I TOOK 5 MINS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CLOSE THE DOOR) but their train stations have NO escalators/lifts.

Dragging a suitcase up & down steps is no fun :(

Seemed more like rain, but I guess at least it doesn't wet you as much.

(After we got to the hotel I changed & bundled up in as many layers as I could haha)

Didn't see much within the vicinity of the Shinjuku metro station except a 4-story Uniqlo... Had a look but they had nothing that isn't available in Singapore. And we were actually refused by quite a few Japanese restaurants because they were completely full O.O I mean, that like... never happens in Singapore right? Guess all the people in Tokyo like to eat out on Friday night!

Oh & we noticed that a lot of Japanese men eat alone!

Most Singaporeans seem quite self-conscious about eating alone.

And... they EAT DAMN FAST OK.

I was totally like "Omg the Japanese are gonna hate me because I eat damn slowly!" -> hence decreasing the turnover in their restaurants, which is very chop-chop eat & leave in 30mins.

Anyway I'm super tired; we're probably going to visit Shibuya (shopping district) tomorrow!

I hope the weather gets warmer soon or DisneyLand + DisneySea is going to be rather painful.

And I totally wanna go to a cat cafe! But I just Googled it, it seems damn expensive... 10USD for 15minutes in the cafe, excluding food & drinks. And you can't pick up or wake up the cats O.O

Wahlewz. Might as well call it a cat zoo if I can only look at them!

Went to Yutaki's house the other day with Eric! Surprisingly it was actually quite nicely decorated! Most boys have messy and/or boring rooms haha. He did just spend quite a bit of money at IKEA getting it re-decorated though. I wish I could move house all the time :) Room-decorating is so fun!

I don't know if you can see it clearly, but there's actually a mini Eiffel tower beside the lamp! Miyake & I were with him when he bought it from this shop in Far East Plaza for $50 or $60. But... it was black colour then. He actually used leftover wall paint to paint it off-white, then tied Chanel ribbons on it!

Saw this hanging-photo thing at IKEA the other day, so if anyone wants it for their room you guys can still buy it quite easily! It's really impossible to go through IKEA & not end up buying something lol. I just bought new curtains, a lap-cushion thing for my laptop & a towel.

I know. Towel also wanna buy.
It was only $5.90 & came in bright blue, green or purple! I got it in purple & I find that it has a good texture (unlike some that are so smooth you know for sure it can't absorb water for nuts).
Haven't used it though.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Alaric & I didn't do much; doesn't really bother me. I was thinking we could do a picnic, but not on Valentine's Day itself because the usual picnic spots are bound to be crowded. In the end we just got dinner (wanted La Petitie Cuisine but even they were fully booked O.O) at an average coffee place & I bought back dessert.

Then we tried Poppin' Cookin' (DIY Japanese edible mini-foods) &... we sucked at it hahaha.
Didn't dare eat it because it smelt so sugary & I'm sure it's probably not healthy.

Alaric bought me flowers (I tweeted a picture)! I really wasn't actually expecting any (OOH HE GOT HIMSELF A GEM WITH ME EH) but since he has done it... he'll be obliged to do it every year hahaha. And frankly I don't remember what we did for Valentine's Day last year O.O

In 2008 my friend Jeannie & I actually had "Lonely Hearts Club" badges made for Valentine's Day & gave it out to our single friends hahaha. Club of which we were then part of.

Mermaid Waves

I've been wanting to get a perm for a while now. Although my hair is naturally wavy, it isn't enough to look well... nice? Lol. And I'd rather not have to waste time tong-ing my hair if I want bigger curls.

So I headed down to Bugis Essensuals with Yutaki last week (but I realise I only have photos of myself hahaha), planning to do both a perm & colour touch-up! The stylist warned me that dyeing my hair right after perming it would make it lose some of the curls but that didn't bother me because I just want wavy.

Not perm-perm.

But anyway. In the end I got too bored of sitting there so I gave up after doing the perm haha. And besides it's bad for my hair to do both at the same time.

Yutakis bought lots of Taimei food for us! But at first I freaked out because I only saw fried veggies (yuck); thank goodness he bought the yummy chicken too.

I showed the hair stylist a photo of the curls I wanted, but he said that effect can ONLY be achieved by tong-ing! Omg I was so sad :( After all the whole point of a perm was so I wouldn't have to tong it...

Anyway so I pretty much left it up to him & he gave me mermaid waves!

Cut bangs too! But it lasted like... a day.

Haha as in obviously my bangs are still there, but I changed it to my usual side-swept.

My hair didn't take that well to the perm though I think. It naturally became frizzier so now I've to start using hair masks & stuff more.

Oh & I was told not to wash my hair for 2 days!

*fist pump* #legitreason to avoid washing my hair.

Bukit Brown Cemetery

Had an assignment for Sociology of Religion to take photos of something to do with a religion/faith different from your own. I decided to go to Bukit Brown Cemetery, which is one of the few remaining cemeteries with graves since all bodies thereafter have to be cremated.

I wanted to learn the meanings behind burning offerings & grave features, like how there are these lion statues at the "entrance" to the grave. Most of the time people think of religion with respect to the living - how religion controls/guides your life - so I felt religion & death would be interesting.

So anyway... I completed my assignment, handed it up on time... & then was told I had to re-do it simply because I am half Chinese, so it's not "different" enough. Alaric too, had to re-do his, although both of us can't even read Chinese.

I suppose the assumption is that Chinese = Buddhist. And European = Protestant/Catholic. Which means that as mix-blood I'm left with Hinduism & Islam. Which 90% of the class also did, since obviously a vast majority are Chinese & Christian churches are boring hahahahaha (no seriously what... they're too modern compared to temples!) (at my church I could maybe take a picture of a Powerpoint slide)

P.S. I'm doing Hinduism in the end!

It's a shame because Buddhism (my project would have eventually culminated in that) is interesting to me, because of how it's actually more of a way of life/philosophy rather than a worshipping faith.

But since my photo-taking went to naught, I might as well post up some of the photos here!

I actually wanted to Act Yi Ge fashion blogger & just post outfit photos with some of the surroundings & no words so I would look cool but... I can't do it. I always have nonsense to say one way or another. And I don't channel that "cool" vibe hahaha #fail.

These behind-the-scenes photos of a shoot date way back... almost a year in fact. I had forgotten all about them because as usual I never got to see the end product of the shoot :(

Anyway this was a simple shoot for PhotoYou, a photography magazine managed by Reader's Digest. If I'm not wrong this is meant to appear in Autumn 2011? If any of you happen to be/have a photography enthusiast in your family who might have bought it... LOL.

So yep this was a half-day shoot and it was just supposed to be a simple photo to accompany an article about... flash photography? Or something like that?

Since it was supposed to be natural/stock-photo-ish (like the kind that accompany articles of love/work/health/etc in e.g. Cleo) I could wear my own clothes!

Photographer in the background. This was not long after I had DIY-ed my hair orange hahaha.

Makeup area! Bulbs not lit.

I had to be taught how to hold the camera in the "proper" DSLR way because at that point I had zero prior experience handling them before. Big, bulky, expensive alien-looking things.

Tried out different colour background + top + hair combinations in case! I don't know which was picked/preferred but I personally think the hair down ones were better!

Sending off some sample, unprocessed shots to the client.

This was so long ago that I don't remember very much about it... I just know that it was quite short and that I had worked with the photographer before for a L'Oreal editorial (if you're an older blog reader you might remember it's the one where I had a stye on the day of the shoot haha).

I have a 6-hour school day tomorrow and still so much to do first now :(

I know I haven't blogged in quite a few days! I should blog now but I'm busy reading the Stomp Singapore Love Stories! Hahaha some are so funny...

"thanks for standing by me when your parents objected to us because of me being a vegetarian" - What? Why are these parents so anal? Race, age, social background... I get it. But diet?!

"I love you uncle low" - *shudders* Calling your boyfriend your "uncle" is kinda creepy no?

"He treats me differently, sometimes like a princess, a Barbie doll or even a kitten. He likes to dress me up and calls me his 'prisoner of love', which I feel is is weird." - Sounds like her boyfriend has a weird fetish!

It also seems like quite a majority of these couples met via Facebook, Tagged, Skout.. etc. I use Facebook obviously, but only knew about the existence of Skout because it's an annoying pop-up ad that appears after each move on Words With Friends. I didn't know people really bothered with these websites O.O

And from another story based on how she told it...

I gather she got together with her current-boyfriend by cheating on her then-boyfriend?!

Day 1: She is with her bf, when her bf introduces her to X for the first time. X is her bf's friend.
Day 1 night: Add each other on Facebook, chat blah blah
Day 2: She asks X out for lunch (YOU GOT BF LEH! SLUT!)
Day 2 continues: They meet, get along well & become girlfriend-boyfriend. (DAFUQ?! BITCH YOUR BF LEH?!)

Hahaha omg I seriously have nothing better to do. Of course it's not that you can't meet a male friend at all, but bitchplease.jpg -> you just met him, he's your boyfriend's friend, you were FB-chat-flirting him the whole night -> YOU KNOW WHERE THIS GOING

Don't mind me. I shout "SLUT" at the TV/cinema screen all the time hahahaha. Especially when I wanted the male lead to fall for another girl! *angry* Ok ok obviously in the cinema I don't shout it.

"When we went back inside the club, he approached me and said, 'you dance really well for a Chinese'" - WAHAHA what is this?! Chinese people can't dance meh? So bad!

CNY 2012

Hope everyone is having a good CNY!

It's one of the few holidays where you don't get to sleep in at all T_T

I'm wondering what CNY will be like in a couple of decades. I think when I'm a parent it'll still be relatively traditional & early because our parents (turned grandparents) would still be around, but by the time I'm a grandmother I think everyone will only roll out of bed & go to each other's houses at night lol. And maybe we'll order KFC (as their advertisements repeatedly try to make us believe...)

This is a Tokidoki unicorn that Alaric bought for me because I saw the picture & thought it was cute!

CNY for me this year was at Siglap at my cousin's place, where my grandma is right now.

Thought it matched better with this black bottom at first, but you know what they say about black for CNY... So I unearthed this floral skort which I never wore (recent purchase) because it's too small for me T_T

Bunned up my hair & put in a bow. Haha CNY is one of the occasions where I feel like... I can dress weirdly. I think that actually applies to most festivities, because you're somehow pardoned for any fashion faux-pas. Like no one thinks I'm weird for wearing a reindeer hairband at Christmas.

I only just realised that I didn't take pictures of anything else other than the house & the dogs hahaha.

Count a total of 4 dogs! They belong to my 2 cousins (so they have 2 each).

Can you tell which is the hyperactive dog?

You can't even see her because she's always an excited blur, but it's actually a 5-year old beagle that my cousin recently rescued from a puppy mill :') I guess that's one reason why she's SO excitable now, because as a breeding dog she never experienced any warmth or love.

I think even if she wants to get excited she can't even move around much on her stubby legs hahaha.

Wah I have no clue how this happened haha. GHOST DOG!

This is a mongrel! I mean clearly he isn't a purebreed, but this is still a really rare mix-mongrel! Never seen anything like this before. This dog was found abandoned at Pasir Ris.

It was probably mistreated previously because it had serious issues warming up to people; it would growl if you tried to pet it. But now it's all good already & he's become quite manja.

I'm actually not one of those crazy-for-soft-toys types (I'm faithful because I only hug one to sleep every night!) but this big, white Care Bear was selling for only $10! :O

I swear, I was really tempted to buy it for friends too hahaha, but I wasn't sure who would want a big Care Bear lol. But anyway it's super soft & fluffy so I'm happy!
