After trying to juggle running the conference, getting speakers and sponsors, and running our blogs simultaneously, we’ve decided to open up registration. We’ve had over 500 people apply to attend Social Ad Summit but it was becoming increasingly challenging to manage the invites. As such we’ve opened up for a large venue and hope to attract social networking and advertising executives to the second annual social ad summit.

If you are interested in registering you can now visit http://socialadsummit09.eventbrite.com to purchase a ticket. To provide a few days for those that did not receive invites but would still like to attend, we’ve extended the “First Speaker Announcement” discount through Wednesday. We will also be announcing the second wave of speakers this week.

For those that spoke at last year’s event we are trying to rotate speakers to keep the event fresh so don’t be offended if you haven’t been invited to speak. We may have a few additional speaking spots available over the next week or two and will be reaching out to potential speakers to lock in spots. Let us know if you would like to speak or sponsor by emailing socialadsummit [AT] gmail [d0t] com.

We haven’t been updating the Social Ad Summit blog at all but I figured I’d post to let you know about the 2009 Social Ad Summit. This year we’ve decided to host the event again at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City since it turned out to be a great venue last year. If we decide to grow the event we will be switching venues. This year we will be hosting the event on Monday October 5, 2009.

We are in the process of lining up speakers and sponsors and will be posting updates over the coming days and weeks. If you do not receive an invite in the next couple of days, please register on the homepage to provide us your information so we can get in touch. We greatly appreciate your continued support of Social Times and the annual Social Ad Summit!
