Single Conference- Jason Sciscoe 2011

2011-09-25T16:21:00.000-07:00

Rev. Jason Sciscoe came and preached to the singles in the Oregon District this last week in Salem, Oregon. As always Brother Sciscoe ministered to not only the singles, but to all that were in attendance. These sermons are timeless and filled with immense revelation and understanding. Many people had a tremendous experience with God, especially on Friday night and you could literally feel a tremendous spirit of freedom throughout the sanctuary.

The sermons below aren't high quality, but I'll shortly send a link, where you can buy some better quality sermons, if you desire better quality.

Billy Cole Videos- You Probably Never Knew About

2011-02-08T09:00:00.000-08:00

Surfing one day on the web I came across a collection of videos that the Tabernacle of Joy had posted on youtube by the late great Billy Cole. Every one of these videos is so powerful I have compelled to put the links in order so that you can watch them all unhindered.

Billy Cole was unlike any man that has ever walked the face of the earth

among the people of the United

Pentecostal Church. From the videos you can sense his burden for the lost and a deep desire to allow God to flow through him. I have found that as I watch these videos there is a transformation that is taking place. Brother Lee Stoneking said in a sermon, that the Gifts of the Spirit are "caught and not taught", I have found this to be true for me personally and I can feel a transmittance of power that I have only found by listening to those men of God that have walked in this dimension. God is calling us to a place of true repentance and dedication to God's will working in us and through us. No matter what the cost we must have revival, in ourselves first and then in those around. John Wesley once said, “Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn.” Let it be even so in me and let it be so in you!

Frank's Book Review of "The 5 Principles of Powerful Prayer" by Margaret Banks

The 5 Principles of Powerful Prayer by Margaret Banks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This books is written by a master of the art form of prayer. With years of experience behind her, Sis. Margaret Banks reveals what she has learned about prayer, effective prayer. From the opening pages of this book there is a sense that this is not just another book about prayer, but something special; as it is not difficult to sense and to feel the power of the anointing on these pages. Unlike other books you might read about prayer, you can sense from reading the book she is really trying not to teach at you; so to speak, but wanting you, the reader to really grasp prayer and to be in tune with God.

Though many of the principles will be familiar to those of the Apostolic faith there is a fresh anointing and a deeper understanding and revelation that can be found in Sister Bank's writings.

This book I believe is a must for new converts and a refresher to those that are looking for a fresh love for prayer. This book will change you for it is not just the power of man's wisdom, but God is in this book and He is confirming His word with signs following.

Why the Valley, God?

2010-11-06T11:12:00.000-07:00

Why do we go through dark valleys in life? This question has been on my mind this week a lot. I know that God can take care of every situation and answer every need, but sometimes he does not. God has been talking to my heart this week about why he allows us to go through these times, when he could just as easily take us out of the valley. Why can’t life always be on the mountain top?

The past few years were a very dark valley for me and my husband. I know there were many times I was frustrated and asked God why he could not just answer and take care of our problems. Until about 6 months ago, I could not even see a light at the end of that long black tunnel that I seemed to be looking into. Many times I thought there was no way in the world I was going to hold on and keeping going. I believe that God is finally bringing us to the end of that dark stretch and I can now see the sunlight shining brightly again and hope for the future is strong. I cannot say exactly when it ended or when God finally answered our prayers and I definitely do not understand the means that he used but as my husband keeps reminding me, he understands what he is doing and he has a reason for it.

But the question still remained for me, why did I even have to go through something that I would far rather have never experienced ever in my life? This week I believe that God shared part of that answer with me for this particular time and valley in my life. I found myself in a situation for the second time in a year where someone was asking me for help. To be honest, it was help I did not want to give and a situation I really wanted no part of. After all, I already know the dark valley they are in and I understand the hurt and the pain they are going through and why in the world would I want to deal with that pain and emotion again? But then God spoke to my heart or rather it felt more like gave me a gentle scolding. He told me quite bluntly that this was why he allowed me to go through this particular situation, to help others in a time of their life that someone that has never experienced could not understand or help them through.

How could I not find the time to care? How could I not be a friend in their time of great darkness? It would be so much easier to step back and put up a protective wall around myself, but then the valley that I had gone through would have been for naught. How could I forget what God had just brought me out of and turn my back on someone in the same place? I find it can be so easy for us to be a friend to those who have everything going right in their lives and turn the other way when everything has gone wrong. It takes too much time, I will probably get hurt or I don’t want to ever remember that time in my life. Whatever the excuse, we so quickly let go of those who need us the most. Oh, we may assuage our conscience and do a little for them now and again so that we can say that we helped someone in need, but have we really?

God help me if I cannot find the strength in me to be a pillar for someone else. It does not matter what it might cost me, if I can help someone along the way to God. God has placed me in the unique situation to be able to help certain individuals in a time of great hurt. I cannot forget the valley and what he brought me through. My prayer is that my valley and my experience will instead become my greatest testimony and witness. God help me to never forget.

Welcome to my blog!

2010-11-06T10:01:00.000-07:00

I have made a commitment to try to move into the 21st Century. Keyword there is try! My goal is to blog at least once a week. Who knows I might get inspired and write more often. I really do enjoy writing even if no one reads it. I am not sure yet what type of a blog this will be. If I have something that I feel God has laid on my heart, I will write about it. It is kind of like singing for me, I can only sing a song I really feel at that time. If not, you will probably get to hear about the two loves in my life - pictured here! What a couple of hunks! I will try to keep it interesting though. Please feel free to comment. Our goal is to establish a website and traffic on this site with a goal of my husband having his own business when he is finished with school we will see how it goes. Enjoy and please provide us feedback.
