But I came up with a new analogy that I thought I would share with you. LinkedIn is truly a connection place for me – I am connected with clients, business equals, prior work places, friends and people across the globe all in a professional manner. <img class="alignnone" title="connect" src="http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/c/co/cobrasoft/1138686_person_agreement.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" align="right" /></p>
<p>Let me give you just one phenomenal example. I recently received a connection or a connection request. It went something like this, a prior boss of mine wanted to be connected with Sarah Palin and found within my network, someone that I was connected with was connected to her (to be honest, I didn’t know this), so I was able to connect a corporate connection to someone I wasn’t connected to. That is amazing to me.</p>
<p>It is even more astonishing that I was able to connect someone to a figure as well-known as Sarah Palin. Never underestimate the power of online networking!</p>
