Signing up and getting off the ground is a breeze as del.icio.us walks you through the steps of setting up a button in your browser to get started bookmarking sites. The no-thrills design means there is not much to confuse you, so it is very easy to begin using right away. One feature that could be done better is the standard button that is installed onto your web browser.

Although you can’t place your own code in like MySpace, you can choose a color scheme pick from one of their pre-made skins and themes. Although PerSpot is a secure site, reviewers felt that there wasn’t enough attention or focus geared toward networking with people you already know.

Although, reviewers liked that they did not have advertisements on their site. hi5 provides a long comprehensive list of FAQs to answer account questions or how to use the various features of the website. hi5 allows you to be really specific when setting your privacy options.

It is easy  to find anyone you may be looking for on Friendster. You can also browse through videos from YouTube, Metacafe and Break; watch the latest movie trailers from Video Detective and music videos from Singing Fool.

Reviewers found navigation and friend finding on Bebo to be a bit difficult. Bebo performs most of the basic functions common to social networking like adding comments, photos, blogs and apps. Bebo still has its work cut if they want to oust the top two social networking services, but judging by their popularity in the UK and Ireland it is only a matter of time before they become a United States sensation.
