16th July 2013 was a shocking day in the history of India when floods took a massive toll in the Kedar Valley of the northern state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the prime pilgrimage places for the Hindus and i had recently completed my trip on 1st of June.

I thank Lord Kedar for my safe and successful trip to the land of Gods.

Ode to Nice Guys

A friend mailed me this one long time back....

This is a tribute to the nice guys. The nice guys that finish last, that never become more than friends, that endure hours of whining and bitching about what assholes guys are, while disproving the very point. This is dedicated to those guys who always provide a shoulder to lean on but restrain themselves to tentative hugs, those guys who hold open doors and give reassuring pats on the back and sit patiently outside the changing room at department stores. This is in honor of the guys that obligingly reiterate how cute/beautiful/smart/funny/sexy their female friends are at the appropriate moment, because they know most girls need that litany of support. This is in honor of the guys with open minds, with laid-back attitudes, with honest concern. This is in honor of the guys who respect a girl’s every facet, from her privacy to her theology to her clothing style.

This is for the guys who escort their drunk, bewildered female friends back from parties and never take advantage once they’re at her door, for the guys who accompany girls to bars as buffers against the rest of the creepy male population, for the guys who know a girl is fishing for compliments but give them out anyway, for the guys who always play by the rules in a game where the rules favor cheaters, for the guys who are accredited as boyfriend material but somehow don’t end up being boyfriends, for all the nice guys who are overlooked, underestimated, and unappreciated, for all the nice guys who are manipulated, misled, and unjustly abandoned, this is for you.

This is for that time she left 40 urgent messages on your cell phone, and when you called her back, she spent three hours painstakingly dissecting two sentences her boyfriend said to her over dinner. And even though you thought her boyfriend was a chump and a jerk, you assured her that it was all ok and she shouldn’t worry about it. This is for that time she interrupted the best killing spree you’d ever orchestrated in GTA3 to rant about a rumor that romantically linked her and the guy she thinks is the most repulsive person in the world. And even though you thought it was immature and you had nothing against the guy, you paused the game for two hours and helped her concoct a counter-rumor to spread around the floor. This is also for that time she didn’t have a date, so after numerous vows that there was nothing “serious” between the two of you, she dragged you to a party where you knew nobody, the beer was awful, and she flirted shamelessly with you, justifying each fit of reckless teasing by announcing to everyone: “oh, but we’re just friends!” And even though you were invited purely as a symbolic warm body for her ego, you went anyways. Because you’re nice like that.

The nice guys don’t often get credit where credit is due. And perhaps more disturbing, the nice guys don’t seem to get laid as often as they should. And I wish I could logically explain this trend, but I can’t. From what I have observed on campus and what I have learned from talking to friends at other schools and in the workplace, the only conclusion I can form is that many girls are just illogical, manipulative bitches. Many of them claim they just want to date a nice guy, but when presented with such a specimen, they say irrational, confusing things such as “oh, he’s too nice to date” or “he would be a good boyfriend but he’s not for me” or “he already puts up with so much from me, I couldn’t possibly ask him out!” or the most frustrating of all: “no, it would ruin our friendship.” Yet, they continue to lament the lack of datable men in the world.

the Nissan Group , Mangalore in association with the T.APAI MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE ( TAPMI) organised a "Car Park challenge" today at the KMC food court. i was very much willing to participate because since the past few days i wanted to drive a car ( mine is back home in delhi) and voila it was here

but sadly the only problem was the timings, my class would start at 1300, whereas the event started at 1200. but i took my chances( as i love driving ) and went for it. i completed the challenge in one go and became the first in the day to do so , so i was offered to test drive the new Nissan Micra. my mind was jumbled cuz my wish had come true.

i took this opportunity and drove around manipal(since i had never done that before). from the lake, to syndicate circle to the end point everywhere. a sexy feeling to drive that powerfull monster which was very silent as well. what a perfect start to the day.
i was given a Nissan tshirt and a few more goodies. but unfortunately the t-shirt is too large (L) for me.

A graduate from IIT Mumbai and now a research student at MIT,USA; Pranav Mistry made news with his sixth sense technology which has taken humans dreams beyond all limits. Pranav aims to help those who don't have any of the five ones once this technology becomes within reach. Great Job. The nation's proud of you. P.S : i know i am very late about this, its just that i was a bit dormant on my blog and therefore was never able to share it.

Top Gear

one of my hostel mates introduced me to these 3 wise men who host top gear UK. to be very frank i was never a automobile enthusiasts and in my chart a sexy looking , luxurious sedan will always be on top and the ferrari's and porche occupied the bottom space. i know i sound way different but that is what i used to be like, a guy with very poor knowledge of their types.

but the series top gear, came as a ray of hope in my dying interest for automotive industry. the 3 wise men, namely - jeremy clarkson, richard hammond and james may are such amazing presenters. they changed the way i ever looked at any street car. i was a part of drive train team in my college's FSAE team, Formula Manipal but never in my 8 months of work i ever developed such an interest in automobiles.

From the Bolivian Salt stretch to the North Pole. Racing against the bullet train and even winning it. From driving on the mafia streets of Albania, to being on terrible and manic roads of India. They got themselves struck by lightning and have test driven the Range Rowdy in the Death Valley. They have been to the extremes.

Driving the 54 inch Peel P50 to BBC HQ and wandering about in the Marauder of the South African military forces just adds to the list. And how curious they were to know the faster one, our sexy Veyron or the Euro tycoon fighter.

The three wise men of Top Gear UK have done everything possible to entertain their viewers and themselves. They have seen every horizon every landscape on this planet, in cars that you and I would never expect to last more than a few miles. That is just staggering and unimaginable.

i love jeremy's ultimate sarcasm, richard's reviews ..actually they are pretty nice ones and jame's innocence.

its just the perfect combo of a veteran BBC presenter, a radio jockey and an engineer doing the best job in the world. driving around in cars that are older than my grandpa :D . the BBC , worlds richest broadcasting network has surely given the world a series which will tell our future generations, the car their ancestors drove.

if you have watched it, you know what i mean and if you havent then start as soon as possible.

Igniting ideas to make a difference

It was a glorious moment for the team, when they proudly displayed their car FM-XI at the international conference organised by M.I.T. The conference was attended by notable professors from all over the world. The team gained the praise of all dignitaries present at the conference. They also appreciated the support our various sponsors gave us in making FM-XI a reality.

A new challenge, a new car and a new team overflowing with innovative ideas, changes are bound to happen. The research phase was completed and the design phase is in process. With the FMXI back from Italy, the disassembling of the car began. The learning process started as the teammates began to correlate things practically. The mighty roar of the powerful Honda CBR 600 RR was indeed an enthralling moment for the team.

Engine

The Engine team found out capacity of the oil pump. CAD models of the exhaust manifold were made and the engine model was modified. The collectors of different half angles were designed using CATIA. The ANSYS simulation of the restrictor was set up and Bell mouth was also made.

Vehicle dynamics

The preliminary design for the front suspension geometry has been finalized, which has been changed from push rod mechanism to pull rod mechanism. In accordance to the ergonomic calculations, the position of the dampers has been changed from top to bottom making the design of the car more compact. The turn radius has been reduced enormously to around 2.8 meters, which is a big achievement for the vehicle dynamics team.

Brakes

On the brakes front, the space for brake and accelerator pedal was reduced in the new design. For reducing the space, the master cylinders were tested in various orientations by preparing the mounting jigs. This season they will be manufacturing the brake pedal and brake-discs. Also the new wheel assembly was designed on CATIA for testing.

Transmission

The Transmission team has decided to have a foot operated clutch. Electro-Pneumatic circuit was prepared and the system is implemented on static engine with positive results. This season the final drive ratio will be 4:1 as compared to 3.69:1 in FM XI, which will provide better packaging in the rear compared to FM XI. In order to achieve this 44 and 11 teeth sprocket will be used.

Electronics

The Electronics team is engrossed in Engine-Mapping, Electro-pneumatics shifting, Data acquisition and Display. The new RD Engine Control Unit (E.C.U.) has been purchased. They are also setting up paddle shift along with a fully functional pneumatic system. Elementary programs on Lab View for data acquisition were made.

Structure

The greatest success for this month was the manufacturing of the ergonomic apparatus. The first test chassis design has begun in full swing. One half of the Structure team is engaged in designing the chassis while the other half is planning to devise the jigs for mounting and un-mounting the engine on the

chassis.

Room 413 of the 16th block MIT hostels was at pin drop silence. no one spelled a word. nothing - it was exam time. This room was my study room after 11pm as it’s the most quite, clean, easy access to coffee and of course my 10 pointer book buddy. A few nights before the chemistry exam we all were tensed-200 pages of polymers, 150 pages of batteries and 75 slides of corrosion had already screwed everyone when something terrible happen. One of us was thrown out of the room. Now , I know you are smart enough to understand that, it was me.

" My friend Kush Somani has a habit of saying 'BOKA' which means 'idiot' in bengali( the bengali effect from Kolkata) and so we named him BOKA .i still don’t know from where and how my lost mind thought of this;

"guys, what special name could we give to this room??".

all started gazing at me, wondering how did that relate anyway to chemistry or any other subject and why out of nothing i broke their flow of tension filled study.

" nahi bhai..why?", they said and with no further delay, i replied "BOKARO".

Yes. I know that’s a bit annoying and out of nowhere.

Next is what, 5 people held me from arms to toes, opened the door and swung me out of the room making the next room 'anna' wondering what happened. The whole corridor came out as i also took fun and started screaming for help. Their faces read that they were tired of my PJ’s and also that this wasn’t a correct time to’ crack ‘ one.

" Abey Boke!! (see, he said again) teri books yahin hain...chem mein back laga le , but never enter this room again", said Kush.

A few days back, 4 people (two unknown guys) came running after me; I understood it was my previous day FB status::

"tears are salty....and so is monaco"

Ask any third year here and you find none who never heard about the killing PJ's i made up and the best part, i so loved to see people scratching their heads out or trying to jump off the window. it’s some "magical" ingredient in my PJ's because everyone tries to jump off, but not to push me.i just can’t stop laughing looking at them and they call me a sadist as they got paralysed hearing the joke and I laughed at them being so helpless….hahaha…I ‘m loving it.:D

They say PJ's kill you, i say no. it's not something that i do purposely but merely by chance. They are just pure creation of mind, like the rajnikanth jokes (they are the epitome , heights of cranky and weird jokes) but it manages to get you smile. you think about how weird it is but most of all...its something you can discuss the next day , for example, the good jokes are stored in the inbox but, my PJ's or for the fact anyone else's are discussed in school, college or mess the next day. you can have your ultimate laugh anytime cuz they are short and cranky- something out of the regular. specimens of wild and creative imagination unfolded to others. Muahahaha!!!

"for a magician, its the look on its audience that matters and for a PJ king -hmm...more than just looks like scratching of head, hitting against the wall, trying to jump of the window, running away from you , throwing you out , hitting each other is just so amazing . now i know i might sound like a crazy guy to you, but this is what i admire about PJ's.

Creativity , blowing your mind off. :D

But the most important of all is that, jokes are not roads on which you run your loaded trucks of brain. They are to be absorbed, be it of any kind. Take it as it and you will enjoy every ounce of it, like I do. It forces you to smile, open your mouth and say hahahahha!!!! .

Dr. Howard Kelly is a famous and reknowned doctor. But he was very poor in his childhood. This story starts from his childhood.

One day, Howard Kelly, a poor boy, was selling goods from door to door to pay for his way through school, found that he had only one thin dime left, and he was very hungry.

He decided to ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young girl opened the door.

Instead of a meal, he asked for a glass of water.
She thought he looked very hungry, so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"

"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness." He said..."Then I thank you very very much, right from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man also became stronger.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to a big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Howard Kelly was also called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. He recognized her at once & determined to do his best to save her life.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He then wrote something on the edge of the bill & sent it to her room for settlement.

She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally, she opened it , and something written on the side, caught her attention. She read.....

“All was going well; there were only reports of burglary in the neighbourhood and to no surprise that was me. In my search for the box, I actually never stole anything , just showed them what they wanted to hide but kept pieces to join the links ”

i got this very interesting mail, long time back..thought to share with all of you...its time that we all stop cribbing and accept the scenario and the system we live in...have a read...

Why life is a race, can’t it be a peaceful journey? A big question before all of us…..

Always at every point of life, we compete with others to win and retain our position in the society.

From the birth of a child, initially he is forced by the parents and teachers and they are themselves forced by the society itself, to win and become topper in every competitions and studies. Then after completing education and having a job, he compete with his collogues. Then, the competition to get high position in the society in terms of money, reputation, standard, facilities e.t.c. the competition is still not over when he grows old, then he do competition between his children and other’s children and the process continues……..all this is forced by the society, and we blame the society for that. I want to ask one question-what is society actually? Isn’t it made of us only? Aren’t we blaming ourselves.

I am not saying that race is bad, infact race is important for our development and progress of humans and thus society.

But race is necessary to a certain extent and its excess can be very dangerous for us. In its excess, a man become selfish to such a great extent that he started thinking of himself only and as a consequence of it, all his friends, relatives start leaving him alone and at the end, he become such isolated and alone that he has nobody to talk to, nobody to share his feelings e.t.c and then he feel his life a burden on himself and become unhappy and sad.

Remember that happiness comes in giving more without selfishness and not in getting something.

So, we should compete but we should not be jealous and selfish. then the life will be healthy and peaceful race for us…………………….

plants dont grow automatically, they compete for their survival..the universe always wants the best to stay..the older slowly dies off...thats the law of universe..every one has to run in this race..

(the following article is my compilation which i did after searching through net, in order to get these hidden figures out and so, the world knows more apart from Henry Ford..)

By the early 1900s, gasoline engines started to outsell all other types of motor vehicles. The market was growing for economical automobiles and the need for industrial production was pressing.

the first car manufacturers in the world were French: Panhard & Levassor (1889) and Peugeot (1891). By car manufacturer we mean builders of entire motor vehicles for safe and not just engine inventors who experimented with car design to test their engines

- Dailmer and Benz began as the latter before becoming full car manufacturers and made their early money by licensing their patents and selling their engines to car manufacturers.

Rene panhard and Emile Levassor

Rene Panhard and Emile Levassor were partners in a woodworking machinery business, when they decided to becomecar manufacturers. They built their first car in 1890 using a Daimler engine. Edouard Sarazin, who held the license rights to the Daimler patent for France, commissioned the team. (Licensing a patent means that you pay a fee and then you have the right to build and use someone’s invention for profit – in this case Sarazin had the right to build and sell Daimler engines in France.) The partners not only manufactured cars, they made improvements to the automotive body design.

Panhard-Levassor made vehicles with a pedal-operated clutch, a chain transmission leading to a change-speed gearbox, and a front radiator.
Levassor was the first designer to move the engine to the front of the car and use a rear-wheel drive layout. This design was known as the Systeme Panhard and quickly became the standard for all cars because it gave a better balance and improved steering.
Panhard and Levassor are also credited with the invention of the modern transmission – installed in their 1895 Panhard.

Panhard and Levassor also shared the licensing rights to Daimler motors with Armand Peugot. A Peugot car went on to win the first car race held in France, which gained Peugot publicity and boosted car sales. Ironically, the “Paris to Marseille” race of 1897 resulted in a fatal auto accident, killing Emile Levassor.

The first standardized car was the 1894, Benz Velo. One hundred and thirty four identical Velos were manufactured in 1895.

Charles and Frank Duryea

1. America’s first gasoline-powered commercial car manufacturers were Charles and Frank Duryea

2. The brothers were bicycle makers who became interested in gasoline engines and automobiles and built their first motor vehicle in 1893, in Springfield, Massachusetts.

3. By 1896, the Duryea Motor Wagon Company had sold thirteen models of the Duryea, an expensive limousine, which remained in production into the 1920s.

Ransom Eli and Dash Olds

1.The first automobile to be mass produced in the United States was the 1901, Curved Dash Oldsmobile, built by Ransome Eli Olds (1864-1950).

2. Olds invented the basic concept of the assembly line and started the Detroit area automobile industry.

Olds designed his first steam-powered car in 1887. In 1899, with a growing experience of gasoline engines, Olds moved to Detroit to start the Olds Motor Works, and produce low-priced cars. He produced 425 “Curved Dash Olds” in 1901, and was America’s leading auto manufacturer from 1901 to 1904.

Henry Ford

American car manufacturer, Henry Ford (1863-1947) invented an improved assembly line and installed the first conveyor belt-based assembly line in his car factory in Ford’s Highland Park, Michigan plant, around 1913-14.

The assembly line reduced production costs for cars by reducing assembly time. Ford’s famous Model T was assembled in ninety-three minutes. Ford made his first car, called the “Quadricycle,” in June, 1896. However, success came after he formed the Ford Motor Company in 1903.
He introduced the Model T in 1908 and it was a success. After installing the moving assembly lines in his factory in 1913, Ford became the world’s biggest car manufacturer. By 1927, 15 million Model Ts had been manufactured.

Another victory won by Henry Ford was in a patent battle with George B. Selden. 3 hours,seem to be very small but not for those sitting in box for the full time.their senses receive only one thing as their stimulus .The cinema hall also known famously as the “silver screen” is a place where multiple minds focus on one particular source of energy ,their emotions and thoughts which are actually considered scientifically to be cosmic waves in the universe are continuously emitted and that makes all the difference to the success or failure of the movie. ”moving pictures”, or now days known as “movie” ,I consider it to be a highly powerful source of energy which has the ability to change human emotions .all beings in the universe vibrate as per their own frequency ,measurable or not,but they do. Believe me .there are very rare “powers” in nature which can influence so many vibrations simultaneously .these powers include natural disasters , famous/motivational speeches by people or some sport events etc. “motion pictures” also come in this category and as per a study ,a well showcased movie makes a strong impression on the viewer until the next 30min of his exit from the multiplex that signifies ,his state of vibrations were influenced strongly.

The origin of movies goes back to 1881,when William kennedy invented his kinescope and the first ever motion picture, “MONKEY SHINES “ was showcased on trial basis.it was later re-released after coming up of modern day technologies and accessories.it wasn’t a big hit,though peole gathered to watch it ,as it was the first ever made.movies have always been a source of entertainment and a “few good men” knew that it’s a profitable venture and these men are today shaping the movie industry of tomorrow.with people’s interest coming up,investment in movies increased and being new ,they were viewed by a large section of the society.

initialy they were considered as a source of entertainment but gradually people started linking it to their lives.their mind developed images of the actors and altered them with their own subconscious projections. John beards contribution made life more easy.now more people can enjoy them while not even stepping out of their homes and movies became an integral part of our lives.it was something new to this world,something that was never known nor was expected to come up.initailly any one having funds investement but not all movies succeeded.there was felt a need of those actual “Few Good Men”, now popularly known as directors or film makers .

An auto to the bus stand- Rs. 25 , a Volvo to Mangalore –Rs. 65 , paying for full and getting half way down- loss of Rs. 35, again an auto for a stuffy and sweaty 5km journey-Rs. 30..stepping on fine, hot coarse grains of sand and still feeling comfortable –PRICELESS.

Walking under the fake shades of coconut and date palms and slowly feeling the wetness and coolness of sand that pushes cool and positive vibes into your soul till you reach the shore is the best thing to experience Sunday morning and just when you feel it’s the best day of life…the fake shades are gone and here comes the scorching sun. Welcome to the Kaup(Kapu) Beach.

I have always loved beaches and the sea beauty is always a mesmerising for my eyes. Just as you reach the end, you hear those angry thrashing of the waves and slow movement of back currents which reminds me of the power nature holds and how its strength has given us the 2 form – rocks and sand. The variation is clearly demarcated – “ green, brown, light brown and the blue..” . Blue till the farthest end your eyes can see. Stalls made of bamboo and fillings of inside with plastic chairs are your soul source of food and chilled beer are scattered throughout the long stretch. To the right stand stills the vigilant eye, mounted on a huge rock( untouched) and with standard white and black stripes. the light house, which is a cites the tales of the ships far at the harbour and those below it. A beach has so much to offer.

Every one’s got their own reasons to make a visit- some spend family time, some for business, lovebirds for “secret” place and talks, some visit the nearby temple and for students like me- a priceless way to stay calm, rejuvenate my mind, hang around with friends and get clicked to cherish the memories. Lying on beach sand, closed eyes and feeling the breeze passing by ….nothing matches it. Some just slog around from their frustrating lives.

But to more often, I feel the sea is a sink of our sorrows and dullness which we discard off when we come near to it. It absorbs everything, from the last words/prayers of the drowning sailor, to those of the killed fish, the fishermen who return with empty hands, pirates who mix red with blue, the man on the lost island, to a daily worker tired of his strivings. All open up in front of the sea and funnily the sea takes them all. Never ignores anyone. The waves take them from your feet (as the flow of energy if from head to toe), thoroughly stirs them continuously and mixes them with all other thoughts , thus keeping your privacy. They take them to the storehouse (sea bed) and you always wondered why it’s dark at the bottom. Leaving you feel enlightened and that’s how nature maintains its cycle. Your environment gives you moments of cherishing and living, but you feel low when they turn ugly. The sea takes them back and when its saturation level is reached, all of it blows out on us again in one form or the other. Everything has some price. Right now I am feeling the light and can absorb the sunset but who knows I won’t get this the next time. As very well said by Christopher Morley (U.S author and journalist)

And so we get different sounds at different times. Everyone has two faces of their life and they perfectly live up to them. So does this vast ocean which mesmerises you but has the ability to dwell you within itself because the third law of Newton holds true for every thing that ever occurred to us, is happening and will happen. Sitting on the shore, dwelling in the past and thinking of future is what we do, I did and now its evening, I must reach back on time as the sand is itching me now.

With my eyes catching the glimpse of the horizon, I bid farewell to the mighty sun who sprinkle’s the last rays and to the waves who again freed me today while my valet is still full cuz I don’t need alcohol or drugs to rejuvenate myself or feel good but I got a “priceless” solutions to my problems.

While my guitar weeps..

For the first time that evening I got a feeling that tonight was going to be a good night. with my guitar in one , I waved her with my other hand who had been practising for this very show. She smiled and I knew something was cooking in her heart, but mine was already turned into an overcooked cake, burning out emotions and smelling of the upcoming time. I was the only guy in the colony who never flirted with her, because something within me stopped me from doing that. That evening, sitting in my balcony at the second floor, I saw actual “love “ in her eyes for me.

As the days passed, I would notice that she stood still watching me playing my guitar and I feared that what if I played the wrong chord..what would she feel. I was on my nerves. Soon we became good friends and she came close to me, sat in the balcony learning guitar from me. Omg!! I was never that good , but still I was enjoying the time and so was she. We sat and used to chat for long hours- thanks to the summer breaks. Gradually we started spending lots of time together and we became very close..

She was a fast learner and picked up guitar really well. Soon the guitar lessons turned more than just learning time and then one day we kissed . our first kiss.

It was her birthday today, I had arranged for a surprise for her and a lovely gift and was waiting for her to return from college. It was getting late, not her usual time of return. Now I was tensed. She didn’t turn up at the café I told her to, so I decided to call at her home.no reply . no one picked the phone. I went back home waiting for the day to end.

Next morning I coudnt meet her, her parents restricted me . I was now scared, after all what’s the matter and her friend told me later that she had been raped.

My world came to a a standstill, the earth shook beneath me, tears fell down from aggression filled eyes, I just couldn’t believe her words. I headed for my way back home and cried while driving. A complaint was done, I just wanted to see her, be there with her. Why did all of this happen??..why? and why wasn’t I there with her at that time..??..i wanted to kill those bastards.

standing alone in the balcony, I just couldn’t stop thinking about her . I was full in tears as I myself was mentally shocked of these “sudden change of events”. I threw my guitar of the floor in aggression , down it went and broke.

All strings detached, cracks over the surface, nuts drowned in the drain.like a man who committed suicide it lied down on the cemented graveyard.-My guitar.stuck in the graveyard of life- My love.

The “dhai kilo ka haath” swing across my face, maintaining a physical contact with it for the time it transferred the P.E following the impulse-momentum theorems-bringing my face(initially at rest) to a state of motion and then the eyes caught loose motions. All following the newton’s third law of action and reaction, when you are late with your project. This is when I first got the idea of the laws of physics and later learned that the laws of universe are were so precise that we had no problems in sending spaceships to moon and timing it’s landing to the fraction of a second.my brain sensed the “touch” of the palm. A day full of emotions.

The major question that puzzles everyone after a sci-fi robot classic is” will ever machines be able to capture such a scenario, will they ever be like humans-autonomous???”. Can humans creations ever catch the essence of a human?. Can humans actually find the answer for “existence of god?”

Last Sunday, I was at the nearby beach. After loads of fun, I sat under the scorching sun for some “relief”. The waves cuddled my feet; the breeze rejuvenates my lost soul. The waves smash the rocks somewhere to my right; I can hear such a pure sound. The fish remains left by the back current- remind me of my origin and how far I have shifted from the “ANIMAL KINGDOM”. The black and white stripped light house tells me tales of the brave ships who were now beneath me into the blue and of those who safely rested in their harbours. The merry children enjoying the day, the estuary which feeds on the ocean, the mangroves born out of sea, the eyes wondering at the sea and searching for those twenty thousand leagues under the sea. An abyss cultivating life.

But far off in the middle of this I see a coast guard boat, rudely making way against the tenderness of the waves. “Poor boat “..i said to myself.

can a machine ever feel the two emotions mentioned above??. well- "HUMANS WERE NOT IN AIR 100 YEARS AGO"

Delhi is “the capital of india” . yeh hai “dil waalon ki dilli”.A place well known for its historic heritage sights, the huge variety of food , the shopping centres and most of all- the people who fill all these places. Divided into many parts, Delhi is actually a mixture of different section comprising of different types of places holding equal importantance.one such location is , Central Delhi. It’s the region where prime minister and president reside. Off course others also, but its more of a strategic location.

Connaught place market is the key of central delhi and is the heart of the city. Built about 200 years back in the British rule, the white structure (recently renovated for CWG 2010) still stands tall. some about 10yrs back, this place was full of cars, scooters and buses, but thanks to the Mr. Sreedharan travelling is now not a hectic task. Metro surely smoothened the ride. One can see all sort of crowds here. College students who bunked the classes and are hanging around, ladies shopping in the state emporiums , teenage girls and guys stalking the street shops for clothing and accessories , Mrs. Sharma roaming throughout the inner circle dragging her daughter along, looking for some bride stuff, Mr. james-a tourist is in the search for true Indian goods and land up at Fabindia or The Rajiv Gandhi State emporium, Mr. Thomas has a meeting tomorrow and is looking for the right suit to match his newly purchased Louis Philippe shoes. Some like wandering around for their “jewels” in the scorching heat, while other just circle the periphery in cars from the outer circle or some prefer to stay under the shades of the Metro trees-the central park. food doesn’t cost much, especially in the pallika bazaar but far from this crowd are “people” who are sandwiched between the inner and outer circle—those below the line.

Their major food source is the temple remains or those who feed them someday- flaunting their generous behaviour. The society has never been kind, so govt. steps seem immaterial. Their smile increases with each rupee given and inreturn all they have and can give the society is their wishes. Elderly say, that “unki duaaon mein bahut asar hota hai, who sacche dil se dua dete hai” . If to trust the NATGEO documentary, india has the max. no. of eunuch(hijra) and majority are illiterate. Its not their fault. This could happen with anyone. It was their fate, but I believe that society should think beyond the everlasting set conditions of marriage and sustainance. So what they cant carry forward a family—they never asked anyone for that. All they need is care, love and modes (by that I mean better ones) of “living” their life and not just dragging it.

Their world is limited within the circle and unless we don’t step up, they will just keep on imagining the life of the madding crowd that’s beyond their reach. I ask you

“if reservation is for caste, “SEX”, and religion then what the harm in fighting for a EUNUCH who’s potential is just getting wasted. Its time to stand up for something apart from caste and religion, and fight for the true cause because the reason for all reservations is THEIR FATE

from bacterias to multicellular,we grew but our needs grew faster and in this chase of thoughts and desires, we lost our harmony with nature...ironically, in this "modern" age, nature sighting is the sole source of rejuvenation for your soul..around the world , man has created a havoc..now let see some mind stirring moments of my place, manipal..god's own city
