I'm so happy to announce that my new collection of stencils by Latina Crafter is here! they’re my first stencils so I’m so excited with this release.
They come on two sizes so you can use them on your cards, crafts, mixed media and more. And with different materials like inks, chalk pastels, acrylic paints, gesso, etc. As always, the sky is the limit! only be creative and have fun :)

Although the images are magenta the stencils are clear, so you can position them as desired.

Some days ago I was invited to publish on LinkedIn's blog, so today I'm writing my first post there. It's here too and I hope you enjoy it!

I know, we hate Mondays and think it’s the worst week’s day. But why? Is it because we have to be back at work? Is it because our weekend, the time for relaxing and having fun, ends? Maybe. But I have stronger reasons to consider Mondays one of the best week’s day.

First, you’re starting a new day and that’s always great! then you’re starting your work week, very positive, too! Since every beginning gives the opportunity to a fresh start, to try new things, to live new adventures, to be better in every way, why don’t we love Mondays?

Starting today, let’s love Mondays! and think, what would you like to accomplish this week? What steps are you going to follow to be closer to your goals? What good things could happen in your life this week? and don’t forget to be grateful for your weekend!
All of that will empower you to start your week with a very positive attitude… and love Mondays! With this mindset I’m sure you’ll be able to achieve wonderful things!

The new shop is up and running!

Hello my friends!!! how are you today? ready to know the new Softpencil Studios shop? so here we go!

I'm so excited to share with you these whimsical goods! I was working so much and designed more than 300 products. Yes, 300! and it was very fun! love designing and especially for products. But if you click on the image above you'll go to the shop and find only 150 items, so you'll be wondering, where are the other 150??? well, I still have to write the descriptions to make them available, but I couldn't wait for opening and giving you a huge dose of cuteness! ;)

On the new shop you'll find greeting cards, ceramic ornaments, notebooks, watches, keychains, buttons, necklaces, candy tins, tote bags, baby stuff like clothing and pacifiers, pillows, stickers, gift boxes, magnets, flip flops and acrylic cut-outs that make great gifts for babies, toddlers, kids, tweens, teens and kids at heart. Just in time for Christmas shopping!
The images featured on the goods are mainly from the Cupcakes Collection. I have five more collections ready to be added on stuff, so keep checking the shop regularly, there will be much more Tinytwinies® for you!

New shop, new agents and new stuff!

Happy Tuesday, my friends! how have you been? I’m glad because Spring has sprung here! well, not exactly since it’s still being a little cold, but I’m glad anyway. So happy Spring to my southern friends and happy Fall to my northern ones!

In these last couple months exciting things were happening at Softpencil Studios! I've signed with two agencies who are going to represent my characters/brand Tinytwinies® in Asia and Turkey: they’re Empire Multimedia and Kaynak Licensing. They have amazing plans for my brand so we have much work to do. I’m a happy, happy girl!!!

I’m also happy to announce that the new Softpencil Studios shop is coming soon and will be full of cute stuff! I’ll be sharing more details in the upcoming days, but I can say that I’m working so much to get everything ready for the grand opening :)
And I have more! a new release by Latina Crafter: stamps + dies (click on the photos to go to the shop)

• “Sunny days” is a new set of clear stamps that matches with the set of dies recently released. You asked for it, so you got it!

• “Building your house” is a stamps set that matches with a dies set and you can use them to build custom houses and add them to your projects. They’re perfect for mixed media, cards, scrapbooking layouts, altered objects, paper crafts and so on!

• "Lilly and Timmy - Baptism", "Lilly - First Communion" and "Timmy - First Communion" are three stamps sets suitable for your cards, layouts, albums and crafts Baptism and First Communion related. You also could use the images on other types of projects, just be creative and have fun!

New product, 1300 likes on Facebook and a GIVEAWAY!!!

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I wrote my last post here, time really flies! how have you been? I´ve been very busy designing new sets of stamps and dies, and today I want to share the new release with you,

This is the new set of dies for cutting machines that Latina Crafter has just released. It´s called “Sunny days” and matches with some of the designs of the stamps sets "Molly and her tiny friends" and "Garden of Friends". It also has a tiny butterfly that match with the one in the stamps set "Charming Collection".

I´m so excited with these dies because designing them was a challenge for me: I had to learn how to properly vectorize (I´ve always used Live Trace) so now I have a new tool to use on my illustrations... and that feels great! learning new things by myself always feels great!

There are more designs to come, and even a new product... but I can´t tell you more now, it´s a secret! shhhhhh ;)

So, to celebrate this launching, and that 1300 fans have joined our Facebook page (yes! 1300! thank you sooooo much!), I´m going to give away the set of dies and the two matching sets of stamps. Isn´t it a great prize? I´m sure you´re going to enjoy creating gorgeous crafts!

Some changes at Softpencil Studios... and Happy 2013!!!

Hello everyone! hope you´ve had a wonderful Christmas day! I´ve spent a great day with my family :)

To make you smile, here is a photo of my very dear cat, Michula, and our Christmas tree. Can you spot "Michu with a candy cane" hanging there?

Now, onto the latest news.
As you probably already know, I´ve closed my digi-stamps shop and EAD Designs has closed their doors too, so my stickers, rub-ons and wall decals that were manufactured by them, are no longer available.
But don´t be sad, I also have good news! three of my most popular designs were turned onto clear stamps and you can find them at Latina Crafter!

A new year is coming and a new period is starting at Softpencil Studios: I´m working on a complete Tinytwinies® Style Guide and when it´s finished, I´ll be ready to find a rep and see my critters on all kind of products! so... stay tuned! I´ll be posting the news here and on our Fb page as always ;)

One more time I want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to every of my fans, customers, friends and colleagues. This was a great year and you were a big part of it! I wish you a very happy 2013 plenty of love, joy and happiness!!! ♥

Mixed media and Rub-ons

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! :)
If you read my last post you already know I was playing with my rub-ons by EAD Designs and creating some mixed media artworks to hang on my studio´s wall. It was so much fun and I love those rub-ons! they´re made of a great quality vinyl available in 43 colours and very easy to apply on all kind of surfaces.

Besides the rub-ons I´ve used colored pencils, chalk pastels, glitter, twine, tiny sequins, paper and... Photoshop! Hope you like them!

A Christmas ornament tutorial and the latest news

Hello!!! how have you been? I´ve been soooooo busy! working on designs for new goodies and giving the final touches to the Style Guide for the Tinytwinies®, hope to finish it soon! It´s taking me so much work and time but it´s turning great so I think it´s well worth it. When it´s totally finished I´ll be hunting for a rep. Wish me good luck!
I know I´ve not been a good blogger (sorry!) but I´ve been posting updates on my Facebook page. Be sure to like it if you didn´t do it yet :)

Many things have happened on these last months so here we go with the news!

• New Halloween stickers and digi-stamps have just been released, and you´re invited to visit my shopto know them. Then click here to see the gorgeous projects that my Design Team girls were making with them, get inspired and make your own spooky creations!

• New fabrics are available at my Spoonflower shop. Two lovely designs featuring Amy and Sunny on a repeat pattern and perfect for curtains, dresses, skirts and more for your girls.
And there will be wallpapers and full-color decals soon since Spoonflower has just added these new options. Isn´t it great? Tinytwinies® everywhere!

• I was playing with my rub-ons and creating mixed media artworks to hang on one of the walls of my studio. I had so much fun! Come back on the next days to see them, I´m going to post the photos here and I´m sure you´ll love them! ;)

• New stamps will be released by Latina Crafter. In addition to my latest collections and the Christmas stamps, new designs will be available soon. They´re some of my most popular digi-stamps that will be retired as digis and turned into clear stamps. More info soon, stay tuned!

• I´ve closed my Card Gnome shop. And I´m sad for that. It´s a great site to sell your designs on greeting cards but they don´t ship internationally (only U.S.), and it´s important to me that my products reach every corner of the world.

• And a big announce: Tinytwinies, bringing joy and lots of smiles® is an official registered trademark! I´m so happy for that!!!

These were the news, now onto the Christmas tutorial!

I´ve used the cut & sew pattern featuring the Tinytwinies® and available through Spoonflower to make ornaments, and did a step-by-step and very-easy-to-follow tutorial. Anyway, if you have questions don´t hesitate to write me, I´ll be happy to help!

• That´s the way I´ve received my fabric from Spoonflower. Just lovely!

• On a fat quarter you have five ornaments and the instructions to make them.

• First step: cut out and iron the ten pieces to make the five ornaments.

• Besides the fabric you will need: scissors - ribbons - needle and thread - pins and polyester or cotton filling.

• For this tutorial I´m going to work with "Michu with a candy cane", isn´t he so sweet?

• Second step: place the two matching pieces right side together. Insert some pins.

• Third step: stitch all around by hand or using a machine, and leave a gap to stuff (preferably at the top of the ornament) and then, turn the piece right side out, press and stuff it.

• Attach a ribbon where you left the gap, stitch by hand and embellish it. I´ve used red and translucent glitter, a glittery flower and tiny sequins, you know I love sparkly things!

• And voila! your Michu is ready to hang! :)
