In Microsoft’s September 2010 Patch Tuesday company will be releasing total of 9 Security bulletins which are going to address total of 13 vulnerabilities in Various Windows Operating System and different version of Microsoft Office.

Out of 9 bulletins 4 have been rated as “Critical” the affected software’s are Windows Xp, Windows 2003 and Windows vista. Microsoft Office get 2 bulletins which are rated as “Important” and affected version are Microsoft Office Xp. 2003 and 2007.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 gets 3 bulletins which are rates as “Important”.

iOS 4.1 for iPhone, iPod Touch Released

Apple has released updated version of iOS 4.1 for latest iPhone and iPod touch screen versions. The update resolves various bugs in previous iOS 4 version. Download is available via iTunes for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G and iPod touch.

iOS 4.1 includes patches for iPhone 4 proximity sensor, Bluetooth issues and iPhone 3G performance issues.

New features introduced in this version includes new game center for multi-player gaming, ability to take HDR pictures and upload High Definition videos to YouTube.

Next version of iOS 4 is scheduled to for November 2010.

Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.3 Released With Security and Stability Fixes

New version of Thunderbird email client is released raising the version count to Thunderbird 3.1.3. The update version fixes several security and stability issues. Minor fixes are done to user interface which might go undetected by users.

Firefox 3.6.9 Update Released with X-Frame-Option Http Header Support

Mozilla Corporation has updated it’s web browser with the release of Firefox 3.6.9. The updated version is fixes several securities and stability issues found in previous version.

Apart from security and stability fixes the updated version has also added support for X-FRAME-OPTIONS HTTP response header. which can be used by web developers code the way their website is displayed in a frame.

You can check the complete list of changes in this updated version. Bugzilla has a lists of total 67 bugs that have been fixed in the new version of Firefox, out of which 11 are rated as critical.

Users are recommended to update their browsers as soon as possible.

Mozilla Firefox Mobile Browser Fennec Alpha Released

Mozilla has released Alpha version of Firefox Mobile browser code named Fennec. The released version is available for all Android based devices and Nokia N900. Fennec is termed as worlds first mobile browser with capabilities to install add-ons .

This Fennec released had it focus on improving the performance and responsiveness. For getting the desired results two new technologies are introduced or implemented in this release, ” Electrolysis” and “layers”. Electrolysis improves the browser interface to run as a separate process from web content rendering process, making it much more faster that it’s previous release.

Another interesting feature included in this version is Firefox Sync which is build into the browser, because of which you can share your browser history, opened tabs, bookmarks, passwords between multiple devices or computers. The data being shared is first encrypted and then it’s send to Mozilla Sync Server.

Psensor is one such pc temperature monitoring software you should install on your Linux operating system. The software can read real-time temperature from sensors of your motherboard and cpu. It also supports NVidia GPUs but you require NVidia library XNVCtrl for this purpose. Speed of your cpu fan is calculated by using lm-sensors.

The color of each sensor can be changed by clicking on the corresponding color cell of the information table in the right panel of the window. The background color of the graph can be changed by clicking on the graph.

Firefox 4 Beta 4 has been released by Mozilla Corporation. Latest version include two new features called Sync and Panorama.

Firefox Sync enables you to share your history, bookmarks, form-fill and tabs opened between multiple computers. The data transfer between two computers is encrypted before being send to Mozilla sync server to be shared.

Panorama is a visual tool with a very user friendly interface which let you organize open tabs into groups. Panorama can be accessed from button on the right of bookmark bar which takes you to your tab playground, where you can expand or delete your tab sets, create new ones and organize them around the canvas as you see fit.
