This is Catherine Hennessy reporting A Decade of Courage for Sound of Hope Radio Network.

The 20th day of July, 2009, is the ten-year anniversary of when the Chinese Communist Party (the CCP) began its suppression of the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa also known as Falun Gong by Physical torture and mental torture to force Falun Gong adherents to give up their beliefs. Just the opposite, not only the adherents are affirmative on their beliefs but also survived the CCP’s brutal religious persecution. Following is the recording of Peter and his translator taken at A Decade of Courage Rally. Peter, a courageous Falun Gong practitioner, and his memoir of how he was kidnapped, imprisoned, tortured, sleep deprived, forced feeding, forced slave laboring, brainwashing re-education, has revealed the true nature of the CCP. In order to protect Peter’s family from being harrassed by the Chinese policemen back home we do not announce Peter’s Chinese name. We are glad that he made his way to the religious freedom country, the United States, and now he can practice his beliefs with peace of mind. Here is Peter and his translator:

[recording]

July 20 is a day that deserves commemorating. On this day ten years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) used every means possible to defame and persecute Falun Gong. Their fabricated propaganda even reached overseas and harmed many innocent people who did not understand the true situation. Having personally experienced this period of history, I can testify to the tyranny of the CCP and the kindness and perseverance of Falun Gong practitioners.

Before the crackdown on Falun Gong, the CCP pretended to allow freedom of belief. On July 20, 1999, they used the media to frame and threaten Falun Gong. They used police to arrest and beat adherents. Suddenly, it felt like evil descended and lies turned the world upside down.

On July 20, 1999, my wife and I went to appeal at the provincial government. Because our appeal had no effect, we went to Beijing to appeal. That day, the city was filled with police and armed police. I witnessed them arresting Falun Gong practitioners. My wife and my presence noticed by the plain-clothes police, and they began following us. The atmosphere was terrifying and tense.

Within two minutes of returning home from Beijing, the local police took us to the police station without any proper procedure or warrant. We were interrogated like criminals. We were not released till late into the night.

My company consequently also received pressure and harassment from the CCP. The manager told me that they received dozens of calls in a day to request that the company transform me, make me give up practicing Falun Gong and guarantee that I would not go to Beijing again.

Because I persevered in my beliefs, I was illegally sentenced to 7 years in jail by the CCP on March 2003. During that time, I experienced cruel torture, brainwashing and salve labor as well as a variety of mental and physical destruction and persecution.

In 2001, several police abducted me using gangster methods. They took me to a hotel. They interrogated and tortured me nonstop for four days and four nights under blinding lights. They used both hard and soft tactics. When their threats failed, they stripped me of my clothes. Then they hung me on the window frame so that my feet barely touched the floor.

They sealed my mouth with tape. They screamed and yelled as they stuck lit cigarettes into my nostrils.Whenever I became silent, they would either aggressively pull my hair over and over again or abruptly yank my body downward. The most vicious torture was called “shaking handcuffs”. This is a method used to force confessions out of murderers. They cuffed one of my hands to the top corner of the window frame so that my feet barely touched the floor. A policeman surnamed Yang cuffed my other hand and violently shook it in the opposite direction. After shaking me like that for a period of time, they would take me down and slap my blackened wrists. Then they would hang me back up and cuff me again. I was shaken so hard that my body was ripping with pain. I even had thoughts of wanting to die.

They also hang me on the window frame while twisting my neck. When they couldn’t turn my neck any further, they would fiercely snap it toward the opposite direction. At that very instant, I felt factures in my neck. During those four days and four nights, I never once got any sleep or food. I was continuously tortured and assaulted. I lost a lot of hair, my wrists became black, my tissues were exposed and I had lost a lot of weight.

After the torture, I was sent to a detention center. The police never notified my family or made any documentations. They used all thuggish means. At the detention center, I was forced to do over 16 hours of slave labor every day. Over 20 people were squeezed into a room not much bigger than 10 square meters in area. We had no hot water, were not allowed to brush our teeth, and had limited bathroom times. We were verbally abused and humiliated every day. Because the room was dark, damp and without clean water, I developed scabies all over my body. They were unbelievably itchy. I was locked up for over a year like this.

In June 2002, I was sent to Lujiang jail. I was locked up in a cell that could only fit one person. There was nothing there but a wooden bed. Two days later, I found out that only Falun Gong practitioners and the mentally ill were detained there.

I fasted twice to protest being persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. When I left the prison a month later, I looked like a holocaust survivor. I could barely see and needed to prop myself up against the wall to walk.

Before I got there, the head person Li Qinhua held a meeting and told over a hundred people that if other criminals talked to me, their sentences would not be reduced. In addition, the prisoners had to monitor me and report my every action to the police. If I needed something, I had to report it to the police. Three prisoners on death row were assigned to monitor me 24 hours a day. Another 3 people were assigned to monitor those who assigned to monitor me. Every day, they had to write a report, detailing all my actions, including sleep and bathroom times. They weren’t allowed to lend me anything, not even a piece of scratch paper.

The police used sentence reduction as bribery for the criminals who monitored me and to tried to collapse my determination and destroy my faith. This type of terror and threat surrounded me. I witnessed a 23-year-old Falun Gong practitioner being tortured to death. His name was Chu Zhiyong. My heart tightened. It was a sense of pain from being enveloped by terror. I reminded myself everyday that I needed to continue living so that I can expose their evilness.

In addition to physical torture, there was mental torture. Once you were sent to jail, you were forced to write reports about your thought processes. Every year, the jail supervisors sent agents to “transform” Dafa practitioners. We were forced to watch videos defaming Falun Gong and write “learned experience” statements based on their standards. They tried to force us to give up the faith to Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. If you didn’t “transform”, you were not allowed to see your family members and not allowed to buy things, including toilet paper.

I returned home after over five years of torture. But I didn’t get true freedom back. The CCP used various methods to tell me that I could no longer have freedom. I was added to the blacklist by the CCP and often received their harassment.

During one of my business trips, the local police search my belongings for Falun Gong books without any warrant. They threatened that I should not go anywhere by myself, and that there would be random inspections. The police also told my business partners and landlord that I was a Falun Gong criminal. My landlord was asked to stop letting me rent housing, and my partners were forbidden from doing business with me. This type of harassment never ceased since my release. Neighbors and friends were all afraid to come to my home because of the fear of being implicated. This type monitoring made me live every moment of my life in terror.

My experience is only one page in the tragedy of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. During these past ten years of persecution, many people were imprisoned, made homeless, used for organ harvesting, and many families have been destroyed. Today, we definitely cannot ignore the CCP’s trampling of the China and the Chinese people. We call on the all righteous forces in the world to disintegrate the CCP, stop the persecution, and bury the CCP, an evil demon that harms humankind.

[ending of recording]

Is there any other government in the world besides The CCP utilized such horrendous torture methods to its own people? The CCP severely violated the international human rights code is unpardonable and criminal. Clearly, by looking at the drastically increasing number of resinding membership to the CCP in China, as of today, there are 57 million Chinese quit the CCP, the date of dissolving of the CCP is numbered. On the 15th of April, 2009, 10 days prior to the 10 years anniversary of Falun Gong persecution 4/25, European Parliament vice chairman Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott summoned China Religion Freedom hearing in Belgium. The hearing agenda is to analyze the reason why Falun Gong is the only group being singled out, blast targeted, and severely tortured by the Chinese Communist Party (the CCP) and what out side of China can do to stop the genocide crime in China.

The penal of this hearing were David Matas, a Canadian Human Rights Lawyer, and co-author of Organ Harvesting Report on Falun Gong Prractitioners, Ethan Gutmann, author of The Lost of New China, Willy Fautre, Chairman of Human Rights No Boundary, Weigwan Zhong, resides in Germany, a specialist of the study of totalitarianism, and activist of Liberty of Chinaese Culture, Elping Zhang, Falun Gong spokesperson, Also, tele-conference joined by Fengzhi Li, former Chinese espionage agent in China, who recently rescind membership to the CCP with his real name.

We will now listen to Canadian Human rights Lawyer David Matas’ report.

David Kilgour and I wrote a report on organ harvesting on Falun Gong practitioners in China which is on Internet, which came to the conclusions that the Falun Gong practitioners are being killed and their organs are being harvested and their organs are being sold to the transplant tourists and the conclusions we came was that this was happening to Falun Gong practitioners and to Falun Gong practitioners only.

The only other source of organs there were victims in this way were prisoners sentenced to death. Prisoners sentenced to death have been source from many years of the past. The volume of transplants shoot up with victimization of Falun Gong and the source was Falun Gong practitioners? Now we came to the conclusion that was only Falun Gong.

Obviously we cannot interview the people who was organ harvested, but we interviewed many people who had been in Chinese prisons and who has got off from the prisons and got off from China and what they uniformly told us Falun gong practitioners and none Falun Gong practitioners alike was that there were only Falun Gong practitioners and prisoners sentenced to death who in prison were blood tested and organ examined. And blood testing is essential for organ transplant because you need to compare the blood compatibility between the source and patient in order to have a transplant so what we
were getting was only Falun Gong practitioners. One of the questions we have to address why only Falun Gong practitioners?

There were many people in Chinese prisons and many people in prisons are for their believes. China doesn’t tolerate any believe systems; it does control the churches; who does authorize because it does control them someway or the other. But as far as we can tell it was only the Falun Gong they were being organ pillaged or organs sourced or organs seized.

Now there were a couple of superficial explanations for this. There was one that there was a large number of Falun Gong practitioners in prisons which meant there was a large organ source bank, which really needed to have organ transplant functioning effectively. We can also see in a term of a vocabulary that infective the communist Party used to against Falun Gong far exceeded the infective used against any other chosen enemies calling them “evil cult” so on and whereas the Tibetans they call them splitters, it was just a different vocabulary. Those were superficial explanations because the
questions become why were they using this excessive vocabulary against Falun Gong and why were they detaining Falun Gong in such numbers.

So I want today to just run through I identified a dozen different reasons and explanations why the Falun Gong became the number one target of all the various targets that China has decided to pick upon. We can see it is not for organ sourcing but you torture according to Manfred Nowak they represents two third of the torture victims and next largest number are Uighur 11% and everybody else is single digit. When you can see a huge detention centre labour camps U.S. department said half of the people in Labour Camps are (Falun Gong practitioners) We have got a huge number of death and disappearances over 3000 identified deaths and so on. Why, the nature of the communist party is repressive country of belief, on all the country all the independent beliefs picking up Falun Gong more than on any others.

One of the explanations I would say first of all simply the numbers. There were even government indicated there were more Falun Gong practitioners before it was banned than there were the members of Communist Party. These people at the time were not anti-communist but certainly not communist either. That causes the Party concern.

The second, it simply they need for enemies, the communist party, they have to justify the power someway. One of the ways it does manufacture enemies and the Falun Gong represents a good target simply because the large numbers.

The third, the ethnic of the Falun Gong, which is in nutshell, is compassion, tolerance and truthfulness. The principle has to give the communist caused concern, because they state themselves were cruel, intolerant and dishonest. And had a necessity to drag the country into this.

The fourth was the collapse of the Soviet Union and communist through out the eastern to the central Europe not that long before, which gave them and caused concern and then seen tens of million people don’t believe what they believe in frighten them.

The fifth: the lack of structure of Falun Gong. Falun Gong is not a people and it is not a organization. It is not a movement it is an exercise. It is a set of exercises with a spiritual foundation. Now with the Roman Catholics, the communist appointed a bishop, with the Muslims they appointed Yemenis? With Buddhists they appointed the Lama, but they couldn’t do that with Falun Gong. Because It doesn’t have a structure that allows for.

The sixth phenomenon was the mirror imaging. The Chinese communist party thought the Falun Gong as they saw themselves as an organization with a structure even though it wasn’t. When you hammer everything looking like nail absolutely saw the group of people they were doing things at the same time the same place and they thought there was an organization there. And that concerned them.

The seventh was the mobilization deposity We heard what the Government said, there were people who were able to gather ,to gather into a large group at the same time at the same place and that gave them constant concern.

The eighth was the use of modern technology. The Falun Gong community was able to get together with use of the internet, with use of the cell phones and the communist party hasn’t seen that before in China and they won’t be really familiar with the phenomenon because they are not aware of this was happening in this way, it was fueled into paranoia and feeling as if it was structured.

The ninth was what I would call petty personal jealousy of Jiang Zemin. Because we heard a lot of anecdota information about Jiang Zemin. At one time it simply isolated of leading this charge against the Falun Gong and one can see as he is the author of three representatives which was attempting to explain the communists in a post-socialist world which nobody could understand. Wikipedia which attempt to neutral course incomprehensible, they had no one following, no comprehension. In the mean time, at the same time, outsider Li Hongzhi writes this book which gets the following of tens of million of Chinese and Jiang Zemin seems simply to be jealous of Li Hongzhi.

The tenth is the phenomenon of the people in prison; Falun Gong in prison, many of them, most of them who don’t identify themselves once they get arrested. This was done in order to protect the people back home, who didn’t turn them in maybe they should do, the friends and relatives the workplace but as a result, nobody knew where they were nobody knew why they were in prison and they became particularly vulnerable. It was a lot easier to do to somebody who had no identity than to
somebody who was identifiable.

The eleventh, it is simply that this crime was easier to get away with because these people were not known outside of China; the words Falun Gong don’t mean anything in English. This was a group where it was easier to spread, liable to against them because if you are liable of Roman Catholic as good as the way Chinese people do outside known enough about the religion to know what the Chinese are saying. It is nonsense when they liable the Falun Gong. People don’t know enough about Falun Gong to know whether the Chinese Government’s saying is true. And it demobilized the concern.

The last phenomenon is the Chinese roots of Falun Gong. The Falun Gong is based on Buddhism and Tao principles from Qi Gong exercises regime so it is authentically Chinese and the communism, of course, it was Western thoughts, so what we have it is a movement in China at the time the collapse of communist world-wide. And it is based on Chinese tradition. The Chinese Communists can see this movement just wiping away the Communism completely. That scares them.

As a result we have a group who were victimized more than anyone else, worse than anyone else, and we have to be concerned the fact that they don’t have or they didn’t before they started in 1992, had counterparts in the west. Shouldn’t get us, or distant us from this phenomenon. They share our common humanity. What is happening in China is genocide crime against humanity. We have to do what we can to stop it.

Thank you very much.

David Matas further expressed his view in the interview, by the SOH staff reporter after the hearing, of what outside China can do to stop the genocide crime in China. Following is the interview

[INTERVIEWING]

with the increasing awakened Chinese inside China quiting the CCP, and with kind hearted people ourtside of China aware of the genocide crime that the repressive CCP committed, we can for sure counting down the dates of dissolving of the Chinese Communist Party. Thank you for listening. This has been Catherine Hennessy for the Sound of Hope Radio Network.

<itunes:summary>On the 15th of April, 2009, 10 days prior to the 10 years anniversary of Falun Gong persecution 4/25, European Parliament vice chairman Mr.

We will now listen to Canadian Human rights Lawyer David Matas' report.

Episode 1: My Path
1a The Time of being lost
I was in Beijing, China, in a family with a “bad” background. My parents had “political” issues (Kai chen’s parents wedding photo), plus relatives in Taiwan. Due to a civil war, my parents’ 10 sisters and brothers were separated to Taiwan and the mainland. My uncle Li Bangxun was an air force hero. During the anti Japanese war period, the American Volunteer Group granted my uncle, with 15,000 hours of flight time with no crashes, the award for best pilot. My grand father and father stayed in Beijing.
Other relatives of mine and my grand mother went to Taiwan. My grand father and grand mother were never to meet again.

Due to their relationship with Taiwan, our family was “exiled”, to a small town called Tonghua in the Northeast of China, close to North Korea. During the Cultural Revolution, all young intellectuals were sent to the countryside. I had just graduated from middle school and also went to the countryside. I got an opportunity, i.e. I worked in a grain warehouse, instead of farming and planting. I worked in the Liuhe grain warehouse as a temp. Everyday I carried grain bags which weighed 100 kilograms. At that time I was only 16 years old and my body was not yet fully grown. Try carring a 100 kilogram grain bag walking on a swinging bridge. It was a dangerous job. During that period of time as a temp, I never stopped playing basketball. Every morning, first thing, I played basketball for an hour.
There was a water well, I had some water, then I took a shower with it. Later I thought about why I did it like that.
It looked odd. I also used to wonder why I had such a passion to play by myself . It was absolutely hopeless back then. I didn’t have any expectations. During that period of time there were no nation wide gymnasiums. None of the professional teams were performing at all. No careers at all. None of the career development in athletes existed. Despite all that, in the end I made it indeed. It was amazing stuff. As far as why I did it, I think it was because I found a way to let out my passion for life while playing basketball. I felt like I was living in that way, my spirit did not die. That’s why I always talked about how the US, to a great extent, saved my life because the US invented basketball. Basketball is where I started my relationship with the US. My passion for basketball has never changed, from the very beginning till my retirement, till I coached my daughter to play . I’m very committed to it. At that time Zhou Enlai instructed that they wanted to play the sports card to break though the diplomatic bottleneck Therefore the National team sent out a bunch of people to look for talent with professional potential. They were told that there were some tall young men including my brother and myself. I was selected and went to Beijing. I was put into an intensive training camp when I was 16 years old, not yet 17. Something happened during the training.
1b Potato skin affair
Once we had potatoes for our meal. Since the potato skin was dusty and dirty, my best friend and I peeled the skin away. Our so called “political in charge” saw us and instructed us to give a self criticism in front of the whole team for wasting the potato skin. I thought that my hope for my life and my career would vanish because of this piece of potato skin. Your life could be gone because something like that, because your life was controlled by others. I did the self criticism, ate “ bad food” and swore in front of the People’s Hero Monument, as well as went through propaganda sessions and brainwashing. Thank God ! this “political in charge” had an affair with a married woman. He left, therefore my friend and I survived. He was involved in such a scandal , even though he was educating us about ethics. That woman died by jumping off a building. That’s why that guy was expelled and sent back to his hometown. At that time I made a judgment based on ethics. What these people taught us is fake. Since that time, I began to doubt them. These people looked professional and taught us ethics, but what about themselves? Their behavior made me feel everything was deceitful. Nothing was true. However it was a big decision if I wanted to pursue the truth. The only truth for me was in basketball. I simply tried to play basketball well. When the “youth team for camp training” was dismissed, only I and a best friend of mine stayed in the “National Sports Committee”. We were treated as special talented candidates for further training.
Of course, for me, the only true relationship I could have was the truth between my basketball and myself. Because I was unable to find anything true among Chinese people. Therefore I concentrated on playing basketball and I played it well. Finally the youth intensive training team was dismantled. Only my best friend and myself stayed with the National Gymnastic (Sports) Commission, as special talented candidates for further training.
My best friend stayed with the National Track & Field Team. After a year long training program, one day he suddenly showed up in my dormitory, telling me that he was not allowed to take training here anymore since he had a family history issue, i.e. his father used to serve in the Kuomingtang’s Army. He was kicked out on account of his background. I went to the Beijing train station to see him off. I was full of despair but I didn’t let him notice it. He didn’t know anything about my family background, as my best friend. I understood that it would come to me sooner or later, i.e. I would be kicked out for sure. At the Beijing train station, there was a song called “Dong Fang Hong”(Red in the Orient”). When the train started moving, my friend tried to lean out from the window to wave at me. I never realized that it was the last time I would see him. I never saw him again! It is an eternal pain in my heart.
He returned to Harbin, Heilongjiang province, and was in despair. He began to drink alcohol. When he was drunk and fell asleep, he was killed by gas leaking from his stove. I had already been kicked out when I got this news. Of course after a while, the National Sports Committee found out my family background, and they gave me the “death penalty” – that I was not allowed to go overseas for games and that I couldn’t stay on the National Team because of my family background. I couldn’t believe it. I knew some well known coaches on the National team and gymnasts who went overseas for games. They also had some family background issues. However I thought I would be able to go overseas if my technical skills reached a high level.
In this respect, all Chinese athletes were simply a tool of the Communist government. They could dump you anytime, humiliate you with no regard for your dignity. At that time I made up my mind. I was kicked off the National Sports Committee, I was wondering what I should do. I loved basketball unconditionally. I told the people in charge that I could play basketball inside China if I wasn’t trusted to go overseas to play . However they didn’t give me any answer.
Then I tried to find a solution myself. I contacted some coaches in Guangdong Military Division to join the team and play there, as a new start in my basketball career. I didn’t tell anybody, since somebody from the Liuhe grain warehouse came to Beijing to look for me. I didn’t want to go there because there was no hope for basketball in the Liuhe grain warehouse. I didn’t tell anybody and left for Guangzhou Military Division.
Escape _ Fall 1971
I carried only a handbag with me, with no languages for travelling. Written on my bag in yellow was the slogan “Serve your people”. I had been keeping this bag with me for all of my basketball career. Why? Whenever I saw “Serve your people”, I thought about how this society lacked any ethics. The so called “people” were the Communists and its government.
The National Sports Committee paniced because somebody had escaped. They sent a team from the police department to look for me. When they were in Guangdong Military Division and saw me playing basketball, they didn’t notice any wrong doing. Cao Cheng, the chief director of the National Sports Committee issued an order – that Guangzhou Military must send this guy back.
I was in total despair when Guangzhou Military Division had a talk with me, trying to send me back. Before I came to Guangzhou, I thought I could start another career life here and move on. That little piece of hope was crushed when I was told that I was not allowed to stay. At that point in time I felt that there was no difference if I lived or died.
I was not allowed to make my own choices. I was like a doll. I cried indeed, with total despair. I was in my room alone, thinking of what I was supposed to do. I felt a big anger in my heart. At that time I didn’t have any idea about God. I thought that I shouldn’t give up, I should give it a try. Well, I decided to go back to Beijing with them. I could imagine what was waiting for me in Beijing, nothing good. Then I was isolated in Beijing, in order to confess my motivations for escaping. They thought that I would escape to Taiwan from Guangzhou and then Hong Kong because of my Taiwan relationship. That was their guess. I didn’t think of it at all. I did it for my basketball.
At that moment I made the most important decision of my life, I refused to be in despair. It is a significant choice when you refuse to be in despair. You can choose hopelessness in your life and you can reject it as well. Even though I didn’t see any hope, but I still rejected despair.
I went back to Beijing and made a self confession for a week in an isolated place. Then I made a complete self criticism in front of all of the National Basketball Team members.
The National Sports Committee was afraid that I would escape again. They sent 2 people to go with me to Liuhe. I remembered it clearly, I was sent back to Liuhe, lying on my small bed with a small oil lamp. There was no electricity in Liuhe at that time. I was staring at the oil lamp, wondering what I should do next. Should I wait and be manipulated by somebody else? Should try to survive by myself again? My elder brother came to see me and encouraged me. He said, if you stayed, the leaders of the grain warehouse would not be nice to you since you run away from here before. Besides, they knew that you didn’t want to come back to the warehouse. It was no good for you to stay here. I agreed with him. Then I escaped from there again through the wired fence.
This time I ran to a team in Jilin province in Changchun city. The province team knew me and my potential. They needed me . I stayed there for a couple of months, and I thought I could start my basketball career there. It didn’t happen either. Why? Shengyang Military Division took away my personal file and they knew I left the National Basketball Team. They also knew I was very talented. They needed me, and as a result of it I was serving in the Army. During that time I had an expectation to join the Army, because that would help my parents family benefit from it and they wouldn’t be discriminated by neighbors. My parents got investigated by their employers. If I served in the Army, it would be good for them. Then I went to Shanyang Military Division, wearing military uniforms. Then I thought I could start playing basketball. It didn’t happen then either. I was told that I had a record for running away.
The Army wouldn’t trust you. I was sent to the front for labor work, for brainwashing. Since I had been sent to the front, I wasn’t able to play any basketball.
In the Army there wasn’t enough food. I was starving. There was a war in Zhen Bao Dao (Treasury Island) against the Soviet Union. I am tall and eat more. I was often hungry, plus the heavy, labor intensive workload. At that time we were building a dam, in addition to the regular military training. My health was getting worse, I got stomach bleeding. I didn’t know it and didn’t know that it was a serious illness. When I returned to Shenyang Military Division basketball team, I was too weak to play any basketball. It was not a problem for me to shoot the ball into the net anytime before, now I could not reach the net even once. I thought, my God (even though I didn’t know the existence of God at that time), what should I do?. I still played with others, no matter what. However my health was getting worse and worse. I didn’t accept it and nobody could have known unless they had checked it out.
Till one day I couldn’t get up anymore. I remembered that I had a fever, but nobody came to visit me. It was popular the idea ,“love each other and help each other”, but unfortunately nobody came to help me at all. During the meeting,I felt dizzy due to the fever. But they sang a song of words like “People’s Army is a university, we held Mao Zedong’s thoughful red flag high up”. It irritated me. I was so angry and shouted with the dirtiest words in the world. My throat was sore due to the fever. Somebody heard me in the hallway and reported that Kai Chen talked fudge. I didn’t. What I said was true. They sent me to the hospital. I was there for a week and my fever was gone after pennicilin injection.
I continued training after my return. I did not recover at all. I had a gastric ulcer, but it wasn’t discovered , and stomach bleeding, which caused anemia, and almost caused my death. I was also bleeding. Then I was sent to the hospital again, for a month.
When I was hospitalized, I received a letter – my best friend had died. I got this letter when I was in the most hopeless situation. Needless to mention other unhappy stuff, not even talking about my basketball career. This bad news came. How would you deal with it? Usually people would be defeated and get it over with. No matter what, hopelessness was indeed hovering in my mind. My best friend had died. Death was also awaiting me. There was no hope then. But I still rejected despair. I refused it.
I asked to get out of the hospital once I heard my best friend had died. I wanted to work hard for my future. I started training right away. At least my stomach stopped bleeding, even if it still hurt. I somehow gained some motivation through the training, i.e. I wanted revenge for my best friend. Of course it was not an individual hatred. I had a vague idea: the most effective revenge in this society was to make myself happy. I didn’t see anybody happy in their lives, none.
I gave myself a promise – I wanted to be happy, and I believed I could find happiness. I must pursue it. Even though I didn’t see it, from people around me. They were not happy. But I believed I would be able to find it

 <itunes:summary>Episode 1: My Path
1a The Time of being lost
I was in Beijing, China, in a family with a ldquo;badrdquo; background. My parents had ldquo;politicalrdquo; issues (Kai chenrsquo;s parents wedding photo), plus relatives in Taiwan. Due to a civil war, my parentsrsquo; 10 sisters and brothers were separated to Taiwan and the mainland. My uncle Li Bangxun was an air force hero. During the anti Japanese war period, the American Volunteer Group granted my uncle, with 15,000 hours of flight time with no crashes, the award for best pilot. My grand father and father stayed in Beijing.
nbsp;Other relatives of mine and my grand mother went to Taiwan. My grand father and grand mother were never to meet again.

Due to their relationship with Taiwan, our family was ldquo;exiledrdquo;, to a small town called Tonghua in the Northeast of China, close to North Korea.
I didnrsquo;t have any expectations. Thatrsquo;s why I always talked about how the US, to a great extent, saved my life because the US invented basketball. Basketball is where I started my relationship with the US. My passion for basketball has never changed, from the very beginning till my retirement, till I coached my daughter to play . Irsquo;m very committed to it.
Our so called ldquo;political in chargerdquo; saw us and instructed us to give a self criticism in front of the whole team for wasting the potato skin. I thought that my hope for my life and my career would vanish because of this piece of potato skin. Your life could be gone because something like that, because your life was controlled by others. I did the self criticism, ate ldquo; bad foodrdquo; and swore in front of the Peoplersquo;s Hero Monument, as well as went through propaganda sessions and brainwashing. Thank God ! this ldquo;political in chargerdquo; had an affair with a married woman. He left, therefore my friend and I survived. He was involved in such a scandal , even though he was educating us about ethics. That woman died by jumping off a building. Thatrsquo;s why that guy was expelled and sent back ...</itunes:summary>

Falun Gong Organ Harvesting Confirmed

CNN Caught In Genocidal Correctness

John Kusumi has recently published a commentary titled ‘CNN caught in Genocidal Correctness’ express his opinion that two years ago CNN should have reported the story of China’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong prisoners of conscience since the apparent evidence is confirmed by Lu Guoping, David Kilgour, and David Matas. If CNN have exposed such crime of bloody harvest, it would lead to the international community taking action to stop what is akin to a holocaust in progress or perhaps they could have stopped the first villain – CCP from killing for additional two years.

Including Wall Street Journal, many U.S. main stream media discredited the evidence of audio and video recordings from Dr. Lu Guoping who admits that he and his colleagues went to prison to select Falun Gong practitioners for involuntary organ donations to be used in transplants, the doctor also admits that he was the person interviewed in the audio recording. The audio is part of a series of recordings, taken by investigators for Kilgour and Matas.

They called hospitals throughout China, posing as relatives of patients who needed transplants. They asked the hospitals if they had organs from Falun Gong practitioners for transplant. The callers got recorded admissions throughout China that hospitals did have Falun Gong organs for sale. The video is a documentary by Phoenix TV and is being distributed by Chinese embassies and consulates; its authenticity is therefore endorsed by the Chinese government.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room has Wenyi Wang as a guest. Dr. Wenyi Wang is the heckler on the South Lawn of the White House. With an Epoch times press pass and shouting at the U.S. and Chinese Presidents who were meeting together, “Stop the killing!” On the way in during the elevator ride, Blitzer’s producer coaches and warns Wang: ‘Don’t talk about organ harvesting’ on TV, Blitzer proceeds to act like a school headmaster, scolding Wang as though the only story was her disruption at the White House.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper did a report about ‘organ tourism’, about a California man who went to China for an organ transplant. Cooper did raise an eyebrow at China, saying that a prison population was ‘vulnerable,’ but, he stopped short of mentioning Falun gong, so there was no exposure of that persecution / crackdown campaign, and no indication that the organ sources may be prisoners of conscience.

Journalists file the first draft of history while historians file the later drafts of history. Wenyi Wang was there with a message. CNN didn’t get the message. 40,000 Falun Gong practitioners are dead will be documented by many historians, and will stand as a black mark against the regime of Communist China, makes CNN look bad.

Around the world, Kilgour and Matas got their points across. Their publicity was well received by Australian Broadcasting Corporation, The Calgary Herald, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Sydney Morning Herald, CBC News, China Post, NZ Scoop, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Christian Science Monitor, The Ottawa Citizen, The Toronto Sun, Abbotsford News, AFP, Asia News, Canadian Christianity, Chronicle Herald, CounterPunch, Cowichan Valley News Leader, CTV, Free Market News, Langley Times, South China Morning Post, Taipei Times, The Halifax Daily News, The Leader-Post, The Vancouver Sun, Times Colonist, Victoria News, Times of India, Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun, the Chicago Tribune, the Irish Medical Times, the Guardian, and the Washingtoin Times.

Who is missing from this list? United States Opinion leaders are missing. They are The Associated Press, UPI, New York Times, and Washington Post, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and CNN. Their omission is now exposed, at least to history.

Kilgour and Matas got the story, and CNN didn’t.

Everyone else knows about China’s crimes against humanity, the last to know will be NBC News anchorman Brian Williams, and International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge who cannot be happy as this organ harvesting story tarnishes the Olympics.

The world swore, ‘Never again’ after the Nazi holocaust. Rather than expose the story CNN left space for the Chinese goverment to add two more years of killing into the record of history. The release of the Kilgour-Matas report did not cause a ripple. The American public was kept in the dark for the next two years.

John Kusumi also commented in his commentary that if it was his to arrange, he would have Nuremberg-style trials for Peter Jennings (ABC News), Tom Brokaw (NBC News), and Dan Rather(CBS News) who accessories to genocide.

Today we have phone interviewed with John Kusumi and further discuss the reasonings why U.S. opinion leaders dodge The Organ Harvesting story. Here is the question from Qing Yue, a news reporter for Chinese Sound of Hope Radio Network.

Q 1: The U.S. main stream discredited the organ harvesting story but why do you and your organization credit it?
Q 2: What is the reasoning behind the U.S. media discredited the organ harvesting story?
Q 3: Do you believe Chinese Communist Party behind U.S. media?
Q 4: Why media remains silent?
Q 5: How does Chinese Communist Party make U.S. media stand with them?
Q 6: Who controls U.S. media?
Q 7: Media should be independent. But, why do media look at White House’s attitude?
Q 8: What made media swing from independent to State control media?
Q 9: Are the U.S. media under pressure of White House?
Q10: Why media sometimes cares more for human rights and sometimes not?
Q11: What is the force push that pendulum?
Q12: Some media pro for communism. Is U.S. media under that influence?
