Article by Rick Walkending

The most important part of any solar power system is the solar panels. These are what actually collect the sunlight and convert it into electricity. The electricity generated by these panels is DC which is suitable for powering many small gadgets and devices. A lot of appliances will operate on AC power which may mean you will also need an inverter.

The inverters are used to convert the DC power into AC power to be used by your appliances. These are similar things to what the police use in order to power coffee makers and power tools in their car. You need an inverter to run household appliances that do not otherwise convert the electricity into DC. You can purchase a solar power system which includes batteries, the electricity which is generated will be used to charge the batteries. This means that electricity will be available even if it’s dark. The bigger the solar panels you choose to install, the more power you have available. A single panel system will normally power lights for a number of hours, however if you add more devices you might need more panels.

Solar panels are still fairly expensive and so creating a system with lots of solar panels it may seem too expensive. If you want to run your whole house from solar power then you will need a fairly large array of panels in order to generate enough power. You will also need batteries and some form of backup just in case your system cannot provide enough power. At today’s costs it will take around 5 years before the solar panels will have paid for themselves. This means that after five years the electricity generated will be completely free. Solar panels should last for a very long time and need very little maintenance, so if you intend to live in your house for a long time then solar panels could be a viable option.

Credits And Tax Breaks Take Sting Out Of Cost

There are some tempting tax breaks and other incentives that are offered by federal and local governments. These make the idea of renewable energy more inviting, these tax breaks will sometimes be as much as half the price of your system. Solar panels can be expected to last for 10 years before they need replacing, plus you won’t need to purchase power from a utility company ever again.

Many people are reluctant to make the switch because they think that they won’t be reliable. We all need electricity all day and all night, we need electricity no matter whether it is sunny or overcast outside. Batteries really do let these systems down as they are nowhere near as advanced as the solar panels themselves.

It is true that solar panels won’t generate as much power on cloudy days, and may not generate any during the night. However it is possible to store this power in batteries which will see you though the night. You can also sell your excess power back to the grid and then buy from them during the night. This works like a battery in a way, and it is more efficient.

Article by Kiki Heis

Homemade solar panels are an extremely cheap and efficient way to generate power for your home. Building your own is a simple, fun, and inexpensive project that can literally save you and your family thousands of dollars per year. When you create your own energy, there is no need to buy it from the utility company. In fact, if you generate more energy than you use, the energy company will buy the remainder from you. The key to this DIY project is finding the right plans. The best plans will show you step-by-step instructions, video directions, and also tell you where to find high quality parts at a budget price. The supplies are just as important as the instructions.

ADVANTAGES OF FINDING CHEAP PARTS:

? Keeping your project under 0

? Easy to set up and use

? High quality look and functionality

? Saving you time trying to locate the supplies

I have tried three of these systems. The first two failed miserably. The instructions where very confusing, and I couldn?t even find a couple of the parts needed to finish the build in stores or online. The third system I tried (linked below) worked amazingly. I am not a ?Mr. Fix-It? kind of guy. I can use a screwdriver, pliers and a hammer. That is about it. These written instructions were crystal clear and there is also video step-by-step directions to assist you incase you get mixed up. My solar panel that I built cost me 3.54 and took me exactly 2 hours to finish. I found where to get the parts for a great price and my unit looks professionally made.

Read more about homemade solar panels and how to find the budget supplies and plans

Can you believe this, a professionally built unit can cost more than 00!? A homemade solar panel costs roughly 0. The biggest reason for this is because of labor and parts/supplies. When you purchase a professionally built model, you are paying for over priced parts due to inflation associated with retail and the labor required to put it together. Guess what, when you build you own, you eliminate the cost of labor because you are building it yourself. With the proper kit/guide/plans (like the one mentioned below) you will find out how to buy the supplies dirt cheap like the professional companies do.

Read more about how to find the best and cheapest supplies.

What are you waiting for? Creating a homemade solar panel costs 0 and takes 2-3 hours of you time. You could be spending up to 0 per month on your energy bill. When you make a homemade solar panel for 0, you could say goodbye to your energy bill for life!!! Don’t hesitate and start saving yourself money and saving the environment.

I told my husband about how I found a site that sold homemade solar panel plans. He built it in 2 hours and now we only pay the energy company – per month. Our May 2009 bill was exactly .74! Follow the links to get your own plans.

If more than one thousand two hundred million rural households by province basis, household equipment Solar water heaters Collector area of 1.5 square meters, the installation rate of 30% of households calculated for one year could save 620,000 tons of coal equivalent.

Hefei National leader in solar technologyThe province that started early solar market, a good foundation, solar energy companies on the development scale and technical strength, the fourth in the national rankings, and solar energy enterprises are concentrated in the provincial capital of Hefei. Such as: Meiling, Rongshida brands, are called the National Solar Water heater The “leader.”

In recent years, driven by national policy, Hefei solar industry has developed rapidly. Up to now, with dozens of solar water heater manufacturers, such as Meiling solar, Rongshida solar energy, solar energy on the source, tulip solar energy, etc., are all famous brand in Anhui. In particular, Rongshida, Meiling solar water heater, home appliances as enterprises in Anhui crack, solar energy industry has ranked among the top ten. Meiling solar state inspection has passed validation.

Learned from the Hefei City Solar Energy Society, the city’s solar power production enterprises lead the nation in scientific research. China’s first solar water heater on the window shade produced in Anhui, bid farewell to the roof of this water heater can be installed in the windows above, using the space shuttle using superconducting heat pipe as heat-absorbing tubes, both interior can also be installed using the pinch inside wall, no matter how installed, it is invisible pipeline, the products in the technology, installation, appearance won three national patents; country’s first health food grade materials all use made of the health of solar energy development was born in Rongshida Solar.

Solar is expected to introduce national standards by the end of

According to the promotion of rural energy service station in Hefei PAN Zhi-bin, director introduced, the existing national standards for solar water heaters are not mandatory standards. The end of 2008, national standards for solar water heaters will be revised, then, the solar water heater will not be as cold environmental factors, which influence consumers to use the normal hot water.

Article by Roberto Sedycias

Solar panel heating is increasingly becoming more talked about. With the prices of everything going up and incomes unsteady, many home owners are wondering what they can do for the long term. Saving money on heating bills is always a great idea, but also knowing that it is helping the environment makes it an even sweeter deal. There are four solar panel PV (photovoltaic) modules that are comparative to each other and all provide quality solar heating for the comfort of your home.

Sanyo makes a PV module that is 190 wattage. It is 17.4% efficient which is even higher than the going average of 12%. It takes ten years to pay for itself, but experts feel that with new emerging technology that it will soon decrease to 3-5 years. It contains patented heterojunction with intrinsic thin layer HIT technology. It can maximize its power in a fixed space which makes it an excellent solar panel system to have. It also provides a lower de-rating temperature than its rivals.

A lower de-rating means that as the temperature increases, Sanyo produces more electricity than conventional crystalline silicone modules.

Evergreen is another top solar panel maker. It contains evergreen spruce series and the PV modules are maxed out for grid-tied solar power. This system can work with high voltage input and MPPT charge controllers creating OutBack power MX60.

It features anti-reflective glass, anodized aluminum frames, 108 cells per panel and water tight junction boxes. This system is great because you can out weight the manufactures energy with solar panel energy in as little as 18 months.

Kyocera is another quality solar panel provider. It works on a 190 wattage solar system and delivers exceptional quality. This product is 15% efficient so just above average and offers a 20 year warranty. This solar system is also a few hundred dollars less than its competition.

Uni-Solar is a solar panel manufacture that can provide three types of solar panels. Framed, flexed and foldable. The framed modules are for permanent placement and contain no glass technology and come in a twenty year warranty. The flexed panels are idea for any curved edges or slopes and the foldable are the most durable. They are easy to carry and mount and are designed for ruggedness performance and reliability.

These panels contain amorphous silicon technology and contain no glass for a more durable experience.

When you are searching for the right solar power panels it is best to do your research and find panels that are right for your house, neighborhood and climate. If you are prone to hail storms or high winds, there might be a company that specializes in hardy panels. Areas with lots of sun or not very much sun in the winter might find that there are companies that design modules to look after those special needs.

The government provides many incentives for going greener and installing solar panel heating to your home, so it pays for itself in more ways than one. In a few years you will have paid for your system and then get reaped with the rewards of free electricity!

Solar panel modules have come a long way in technology and feature products and features that can really blend into the roof of the home and look like they were supposed to be there. There is nothing ugly about them, in fact they help a home to look more beautiful because it lets everyone know that you care for the environment and are making a productive change and contribution to the planet.

You find what you are looking for inside when you actually purchase the Green DIY Energy guide.

I like how it tells you have to build solar panels. The videos reminded my of the show Home Improvement and how they show you how to build the solar panels. The exact step-by-step process was given to me by this. It took me sometime to grasp and proceed, nevertheless it was far more helpful than mere diagrams.

The hands down winner is Green DIY Energy because Green DIY Energy shows that actually video rather then diagrams. It’s cool that I get to finally have a project to do around the house.

I was able to find the materials for the a lot less, after researching Green DIY Energy for a built solar panel. I found less expensive materials for solar panel than Green DIY Energy’s solar panel for .I can’t believe I only spend a cool 90 bucks. The funniest part was that I actually had to whip out my receipt when I showed my friends I built the solar panel for under 0. You can build solar panels for a lot less than what companies charge.

If one thing has everything then why purchase from somewhere else? Also, this company uses its revenues to do ongoing research, so you know that all of their materials are up to date.

The GreenDIYEnergy System.:

- Solar Panel Handbook with Blueprint- The ” Solar Panel” E-Book Guide- “Solar Energy Bundle” Available Instantly- Electrical Wiring Plans for Solar Panels (Instant Download)- Installing and Mounting Solar Panels Guide- Energy Consumer Guide- Solar Tax Credits and Rebates- ,?Video Library,- Build Your Own Wind Turbine- The 0 Wind TurbineAs soon as I bought it, I went ahead and started because I didn’t have to wait for it to come in the mail.

This is what you need to get Green DIY Energy.:

- Over 4,000 are sold each month so you know that it works- You save thousands of dollars over retail manufacturing companies- Reduce your carbon footprint and go green- You can cut your energy bills in half or stop getting them- It,s fun to build things and show your family and friends what you created

My advice is that if you truley want to save money and the environment with solar panel, or even if you just want lower your month electric bill, then this is the guide you should get. You need to think of the environment first. GreenDIYEnergy does a good job helping you put the solar panel together. It’s such a relief that GreenDIYEnergy was able to help me through each step. I made it a family affair and had all the kids and family members help me out. Now I am the envy of all my friends and family for being able to save money.

I got my sources for this review in the author box and also from trying it. I give Green DIY Energy two “green” thumbs up!
