It's September! My how time flies. How do you all feel about an early spring meeting?

So it turns out planning these meetings isn't easy! the 21st of October isn't going to work because of the pre-conference for MLA. I'm going to take the night to think about another date and I'll post again tomorrow!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Ok, so the next SOLINET Mississippi Member Forum meeting will be October 21, the day before MLA starts, in Natchez. Next on the agenda. What institutions are available in that area? Our member base in Natchez is mainly K-12s with the exception of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Alcorn State School of Nursing and Homochitto Valley Library Services. Any opinions on any of these sites?

So, the pre-conference is on Sustainable Funding for Libraries. Do you think we should or should not attempt to compete with that? It's being presented by Benevon.

Mississippi Library Association tie-in?

I've just noticed that the MLA meeting this year is in Natchez on October 22-24. Should we attempt to have our meeting around this time since I imagine many of you will be traveling down there already?

Hello to all you folks willing to help plan the SOLINET MississippiMember Forum! This will be our central meeting place to start the planning process. How does everyone feel about a Mississippi meeting in October?

Also, what do you think - should we plan 2 since your state is pretty large or should we just plan to have a centralized meeting?
