And then, there are people who prove it…

I found this video footage on YouTube, and I am outraged that people would form a coalition against alternate realities.

Believe what you want to believe, people. Be as skeptical as you want to be. Deny the truth. Alternate realities DO exist. John McCain has proved the existence of an alternate reality time and time again. If we continue to scoff and turn our noses up at those who live in alternate realities, where children laugh and play with gumdrop smiles; where the economy is strong; where the President of the USA never commits a war crime; where everyone owns at least 3 condominiums, along with a plethora of houses to use for personal financial gain; where $4 is merely pocket change when it comes to purchasing gasoline to fill up the tanks in our motor homes and Cheverolet Subdivisions, THEY WILL PREVAIL!

There’s no such thing as a lower class. Don’t let the liberal media fool you into thinking that there is actually a working class. The only class that exists is the upper class. Everyone’s actually rich. Don’t believe what you hear from people who say that they’re working 4 jobs to pay rent, or to feed their children. They’re liars. Don’t believe the economy’s in a deep recession. Don’t buy in to the idea that things are in a worse state than they really are. It’s conspiracy. These problems don’t exist on Planet McCain.

I know where Planet McCain is, and if you would like to know where it is, I have just stumbled upon a star map. Behold, skeptics:

A good colleague of mine who happens to be a scholar of astronomy sent me this picture along with this description:

Planet McCain, a gaseous planet, is located in the Ford Galaxy amidst other gaseous bodies, such as Planet Reagan, Planet Cheney, and Planet Quayle. Located at the heart of the Bush II system, Planet McCain, much like the rest of the planets in the Bush II system, rotates on its own axis backwards, in relativity to planets here in our own Milky Way. Planet McCain’s atmosphere has not changed for eons, and the lunar pull of the nearby Palin installation ensures that Planet McCain’s atmosphere remains dense. Planet McCain derives its light from a large, round white dwarf in the center of the Bush II system. Although Planet McCain’s atmosphere is comprised of toxic gases, the planet is still capable of sustaining life. The McCain lifeforms are humanoid in appearance, and they refer to themselves as “Republicans”. These “Republicans” are very “conservative” in nature. However, the toxic gases in McCain’s atmosphere are thought to have a very hallucinigenic quality. Scientists have observed during an autopsy of one of these “Republicans” that the toxicity of the subject’s brain was so high that they were living in a delusion in which they believe that on Earth, our planet, a failed economy, denial of equal rights for GLBT individuals, and starting an unprovoked war are all part of a well-balanced government rule. In fact, some of these “Republicans” believe that our Constitution of the United States of America should be shredded and/or burned. They believe that democracy is nothing more than an excuse to enjoy basic human rights, something that we, as humans, don’t deserve.

Well my friends, we are being invaded. The “Republicans” are even using their alien technology to listen to every phone conversation, in hopes that they can find rebellious human beings to capture and assimilate for anal probe purposes. Still skeptical? Well I’m not. I have been given an anal probe by these “Republicans” for the past 8 years. My anus hurts, as I’m sure Uranus does as well.

This November…

No way, no how, no more anal probes…

NO MCCAIN.

I’m Chloë Handler, and I approve this message.

Love and Peace,

Kerry let the Democratic Party down, and we were stuck with Junior. Along came rising gas prices, oil “shortages”, wars, and a complete economic crisis. No doubt the conservative voters are cheering every single time they see a McCain campaign advertisement distorting Obama’s agendas. And yet, at the same time, one can’t help but wonder if the Democratic party is distorting McCain’s agenda. After watching the following videos however, I’m starting to believe the Democratic party doesn’t need to distort anything. Here’s proof:

And this one:

Aaaaaand this one:

This one:

And last but not least, this one:

What is McCain really trying to say? Have our Republican friends become so dumbed-down that they can’t realize what McCain stands for? Are we too blind to see that Sarah Palin is nothing more than a hockey mom? I mean she’s completely against the use of contraceptives because she’s pro-life (…whatever…), and yet there’s nothing wrong with her 17-year old daughter being pregnant?!? I don’t mean to come down on her daughter like that. It’s really not about her daughter, and I honestly don’t believe Palin’s daughter should be dragged into the fray, but seriously… come on. Palin knows nothing about foreign policy or diplomacy, and McCain picked her as a running mate, even though he criticized Obama for the exact same thing. Palin is eye candy. That’s it. She’s a hockey mom from a small town somewhere in Alaska.

And while FOX News anchors are cracking jokes about Isis, the transgender woman on America’s Next Top Model, they’re too busy to realize Sarah Palin is nothing more than America’s Next Top Humilating Affront To Women. As if it’s not bad enough that McCain is a misogynist creep, he has to go and choose the person with the least experience simply because she’s a woman. McCain pulled the gender card on this one, and it was a bold attempt to try to draw some of Hillary’s minions over to the dark side. All of a sudden, there’s another woman in the White House race, so a handful of Clinton supporters decided to jump ship. One last thing to mention about Palin: McCain is in his 70’s. He’s likely to be in office for a few months before he croaks. With Palin as his VP, guess who’s going to be running the country?

I know that’s morbid to think about, but you know it’s true. You know I’m right. Palin was the governor of Alaska, which has a bigger population of seals than it does human beings. Even polar bears outnumber the people in Alaska. Does anyone else view this as I do? It’s like a 3-year old playing with matches.

And about FOX News…

Anchor Gregg Jarrett and special guest, editor at large of US Weekly, Ian Drew joked about Isis, the transgender contestant on America’s Next Top Model, calling it a “trend” to place a token transgender person in a reality television show. They laughed as they bantered on about Isis, calling her “him or her”. Jarrett even quotes Isis, “‘My cards were dealt differently”, to which he muses, “Boy, that’s an understatement”. Luckily, GLAAD stepped in, along with countless members of the GLBTQ community, and flooded FOX News with complaints.

In a wise move by FOX News, Anchor Gregg Jarrett apologized on the air a few days later.

McCain, say what you mean, and mean what you say.

Gregg Jarrett and Ian Drew, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything.

As usual,

Love and Peace,

How many people have ever suffered from the “Music Consumer’s Lament”?

How many people don’t know what I’m talking about?

Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so vague. How many people have heard a song that you really liked, and you went to buy the CD just because of that one song… or maybe two songs that you “kinda” liked… only to find out that the rest of the CD wasn’t worth the $16 you paid for it? Be honest… I know I’m not the only one!

That’s the “Music Consumer’s Lament”. I’m not going to say anything bad about the music industry, suffice it to say… what happened to music? MTV started up in the early 80’s, and it was great. They aired music videos all day long. Now MTV plays reruns of ‘The Real World’, ‘Road Rules’, and the only music videos they play… well… they aren’t really music videos. Most of the “music videos” they air are either promoting ridiculous wealth as an ultimate goal, or the notion that objectifying women is actually a “good” thing… and I’m not just speaking about hip-hop… rock promotes these things as well. As Lewis Black once said, “MTV is to music what KFC is to chicken”. And he’s absolutely right.

Don’t get me wrong. Some of the music MTV plays is catchy… when they do decide to air a music video. But how many of those music videos do you watch, and you think to yourself, “Wow! What a great message! It’s universal, and I can really relate! And the musicianship was brilliant!”? Chances are, not too many. Right? Gone are the days of epic Michael Jackson, Madonna, or Guns n’ Roses videos. Gone are the days of “Rock the Casbah”, “99 Red Balloons”, and “Video Killed the Radio Star”… ok, the last one’s not a great example because I miss the radio star, too.

The point is: MTV has spent the last two decades destroying music as we know it.

And the record industry? I just got a memo from A & R online, complaining about how the poor record execs aren’t going to keep making their $300,000 to $700,000 a year salaries. Pobrecitos (Poor babies). I think I hear the “waaaahbulance” coming. What about the artist? What about the songwriter?

Who cares? They’re just the ones writing and performing the songs. They don’t need to make a living. Right? Well, the truth is, a lot of professional recording artists make a living for more than a dozen people. Many of them are making less than an A & R executive however… especially the hundreds of thousands of artists who send their unsolicited demos in to the record companies waste bins. That’s usually where a demo CD goes these days. I understand the talent scouts in charge of listening to demos have a lot on their plate, and it’s a bit too time consuming to listen to 3 or 4 demos a day, let alone 3 or 4 hundred. Enter the indie musician.

We are unsigned. We don’t have to give 70% of our profit to lawyers, agents, managers, and record executives. We don’t have to sign a record deal if we don’t want to. We also don’t make a living at it, unless we’re really lucky… or we’re really good at networking. Enter the music consumer.

A lot of music consumers like certain types of music for one reason: Simplicity. And there’s nothing wrong with enjoying music that’s simple, as long as it’s catchy, and it means something. Some of the most simple songs in the world are also the catchiest, most meaningful songs. Enter the music genres.

There are so many music genres and sub-genres of music that it’s hard to keep track of them. Orchestral, opera, folk, folk rock, blues, jazz, big band, swing, fusion, country, country-rock, country-pop, pop, new wave, pop-punk, post-punk, goth punk, alternative, alternative rock, rock, hard rock, goth rock, emo rock, doom rock, pop rock, glam rock, progressive rock, metal, hair metal, pop metal, speed metal, death metal, black metal, progressive metal, thrash metal, rap metal, hardcore, “mathcore”, thrashcore, electronica, techno, house, drum and bass, industrial, industrial rock, industrial metal, r & b, hip-hop, rap, gangsta rap, and the list keeps going. Even my mp3 software has a sub-genre available entitled “Primus”. However, I would like to introduce a new sub-genre:

Trannycore.

It’s got a certain ring to it. And to let you all hear what “Trannycore” sounds like, here’s a music video they WON’T play on MTV:

And another:

That, my friends, is Trannycore. And there’s more where that came from.

My latest musical creation, ‘Transformation Synergy‘ is now officially available for purchase. And because I don’t want anyone to suffer the “Music Consumer’s Lament”, I have posted a few of my songs on my website for your listening pleasure:

www.transformationsynergy.synthasite.com

Go to the media section to listen to clips from both albums, ‘Pariah‘ and ‘Transformation Synergy‘, and please check out the rest of the website while you’re there. For purchasing information, please check out the store section.

Now here’s the catch:

‘Transformation Synergy‘ is available for $20, and there’s a reason it’s so costly. Every penny from my album sales goes into the Chloë Handler SRS Fund. And here’s the scoop on that:

SRS (Sex Reassignment Surgery) is really expensive, and as stated by the AMA, is medically necessary. I don’t have insurance, and even if I did, SRS would not be covered by insurance. It is completely out of pocket, even though it has been declared medically necessary. Insurance companies will cover hysterectomies and mastectomies for women with cancer, and orcheidectomies for men with testicular cancer, but they refuse to cover the exact same things for transexuals. And so, I’m offering ‘Transformation Synergy‘ for a $20 donation. But wait! There’s more!

If you are one of the first 50 people to order ‘Transformation Synergy‘, you will receive an autographed copy of the CD, plus an autographed copy of ‘Pariah‘, plus an autographed limited edition DVD featuring the same music videos featured above.

If you’re one of the next 100 people to order ‘Transformation Synergy‘, you will receive the CD, plus the limited edition DVD.

Not too shabby for a $20 donation, eh?

This is where I need as much help as I can get from everyone. If you like the music you hear, please donate. I will soon be posting more music clips on the website, so everyone can get a good taste of what ‘Transformation Synergy‘ has to offer. Our goal is 1,000 copies, so please help us reach that goal.

Again, the website is www.transformationsynergy.synthasite.com

Thank you in advance.

Love and Peace,

Outside, citizens who have had enough of war in the Middle East, and enough of torture and the PATRIOT Act at home, dared to exercise their right to peacably assemble and demand redress of their grievances. For their troubles, they were ambushed by cops, pepper-sprayed, beaten with riot batons, falsely imprisoned, denied access to counsel. That was in Denver. The crackdown has just begun in Minneapolis, and already appears to be at least as ugly.

http://news.infoshop.org/article.php?story=20080831125400727

So now we have an interesting juxtaposition. Alleged democracy taking place inside convention walls, citizens beaten down and falsely arrested for attempted democracy outside convention walls. “Free speech” cages. Gitmo on the Platte. Warrantless searches and a laundry list of violations of basic constitutional rights. The media is not covering it. But what is most significant is that both parties are apparently OK with it.

Obviously, both Obama and the organizers of the Dem Convention were well-situated to express public concern about Gitmo-like detention facilities being set up for protesters, about an 80 year old man being beaten with a riot baton, about a Code Pink protester being struck and then arrested, about hundreds of protesters being ambushed, beaten, pepper-sprayed and arrested during a peaceful and legal march.

They did not do so. Nor have the Republicans.

This is the picture worth a thousand words. This is what “democracy” looks like. Ivory towers inside of which the influential make speeches and schemes, and outside of which citizens are beaten and imprisoned for seeking to be heard.

Look upon this country, and rage, and weep.

It has so many uses..clothing , beauty products..and the list goes on and on. It grows in every state in the country..Its a weed ! A weed from the earth that requires little to No pesticides..and the crop is ALWAYS dependable -* We need to get the now forwarded so called Green Economy to include Industrial Hemp- corn fuels are not the answer, corn is food, soy is a food.

The difference between cannabis smokable and industrial is like night and day the rationale for keeping it illegal stupid and greedy. We the people are being deprived of our birthright, to farm, and harvest this plant.

This country needs to legalize Industrial Hemp. Also while we are at it - legalize smokable cannabis - both kinds are gifts from this our mother earth - HEMP - could make us a strong exporter of fabrics, and thousands of products that are biodegradable, easy to manufacture , all that is holding us back are archaic laws based on STUPIDITY - time to end the drug war and consider this herb for the tremendous GIFT it is ! - Free the prisoners and free the plant.

Its time for america to use some common sense that will benefit the workers and not the uber rich - the working class is all of us - there is no more middle class - Labor needs these products , innovation with hemp products will lift us out of being hostage to debt as a nation. Support groups like the Industrial Hemp Council and the Marijuana Policy Project - we also need to get the herb off of its schedule one status..there are too many people languishing in prison for smoking a joint.

Our country needs to address the war on Hemp and stop the endlessly non productive war on drugs , which has swept up hemp and cannabis users in its dubious efforts to fight drug abuse. Too many people are in privatized jails for non violent crimes that involve cannabis the smokable kind and it is a cruel and unusual punishment - These victims of draconian drug policies cannot be forgotten in our quest to get industrial hemp, and smokable cannabis back to its rightful place in our culture, a medicine, for the economy and the person, an herb that is our birthright to utilize in all of its various forms.

Take away the black market , reduce crime. Industrial Hemp does not deplete the soil like other crops either..Ignoring this resource is cheating our country. Its time for common sense to trump hysteria and out dated attitudes. The History of Hemp shows at one time it was considered UNPATRIOTIC NOT TO GROW IT ! - we need to get back to notion.

The rhetoric has been quite inspiring..however its gonna take poll watchers, e voting watch dogs. I suggest ahead of time that We the People make sure we do not have another coup - what i mean is this : if there is a close race..that the Supreme Court does not decide who is the president - that we as a Nation have a new vote taken even IF IT TAKES SIX months. We know caging votes continues. We know there are still irregularities. We must insist locally that conflicts of interests are addressed Prior to Election day - No party chairs in their states or counties ought to be Election board members ala Kenneth Blackwell or visa versa with the democrats. The platform of the democratic party must be honed.

Also not surprising protesters are already being arrested..people who came to peacefully assemble to address their government with their grievances..Pelosi has a lot to answer for - We have somewhat of a choice in November. My thing has been getting anyone who will listen that they need to vote. Now one could argue that voting is a way of placating the people and yes to a degree that is true - we live in an oligarchy - we need to get the Patriot Act repealed. We need an end to our occupation of the middle east..A cleaning house of the Justice dept , the FCC, and other government institutions. WE need to get people to understand that without taxes , there can be no public services and public services that are faith based violate the separation of church and state.

No candidate is perfect - but another Bush term is out of the question and they are stooping very low - i.e. hot button issues and disinformation , the swift boaters are afloat and we need to call them on this tired old Bullshit. Putting our differences aside will help , at least give the country a shot at rehabilitation. Some respect for the rule of law..I mean really the gall of Mucasey not prosecuting political firings at the DOJ, The violation of the Geneva Conventions. The torture that continues in our name.

Free speech Zones , and a fascist bunch of jack booted thugs already thowing snow fence around protesters, and using pepper spray on those who came to protest and raise their concerns about serious issues. AND there is a warehouse with barbed wire waiting for those arrested..and one can be sure there are provacatours in the crowd -

Hopefully as the convention continues there will be pointed answers to the serious issues the democrats have been colluding with - There is a lot to answer for including Obama’s advisors who are hawks. I remain hopeful - despair passed awhile ago. Our country is FUBAR as of now - we have a candidate who once empowered will lead the country to a more reasonable place. The rhetoric of the first day was for unity of the party and given the primaries its an important place to start. There are still many problems with the hawkish wing of the democratic parties..We must have peace, and hopefully the war criminals and those who broke their oath

I remain hopeful - and feel that the most important thing we can do , is on a one to one basis encouraging people to put their differences aside and realize that it will take local and state elections and lots of time to clean up the devastation of the last decade - that government can be good, its needed in order to deliver services back to us for our taxes. The democrats realize the problems are systematic - They too realize that they must get the lobbiests to stop writing the laws. Its a one business party our government - but some business managers are better then others. Now is the time to come together. The working poor, the uninsured are getting ground in the wheels of horrible policies - many of which the democrats have colluded with , however this is our reality today and we need to work , to build alturnatives locally but no one can afford to ignore this election in our over reaching empire..We need to get the dems in office and insist this war is ended. The profiteers prosecuted. And hold their feet to the fire - We the people want this occupation ENDED - we never wanted it to begin in the first place. There are some progressive democrats who will have a greater voice under a democratic president who is fundamentally decent like Obama is, to work with all the personalities involved. All the people cannot be pleased all the time. Things and postitions must be taken to even get a foot in the door of the Oligarchy - WE need a filibuster proof House and Senate. Social Security must remain public - we have a decent shot at this if we can get a majority we can pressure for serious systematic changes like dismantling private prisons. ending the death penalty and making college accessible for everyone. The illegal wire tapping must stop.

This thread is for those of you who just want to share your observations during this week. I will also concede that Hillary has been gracious. I applaud her for coming to the convention in the spirit of unity. Credit where credit is due. There is a lot at stake. The job situations, the drug war, public education , housing, responsive government - its gonna take at least a few congresses to get some of the wrongs righted. We need a new deal , and we needed it - from 2000. We need reason vs. a diet of fear. For where Obama stands on lgbtq issues see the blog From the left . To see where he stands on all the issues go to the Obama website.

People died for the right to vote no one can afford to sit this one out no matter how disgusted with the process we may be. Voting does not preclude doing alturnative activities in your localities such as developing gift economies, environmental work and building the momentum to get a constitutional amendment or two that make elections even more democratic and allow third parties a better chance - eliminate proprietary software in our voting machines and the mandate of a paper trail. So many issues we cannot expect a perfect progressive candidate to get elected. We have to start where the country is at and its FUBAR - His presidency will be an improvement. American Politics have always been screwed but walking away on voting day is not an option , if one gives a shit - again it does not preclude doing other alturnative things in our localities. *The corporations must be reeled in - as those in the democratic party are further empowered under a new administration to set things from the far far right at least to the middle - from the middle we go to more progressive place. Step by step. The pendulum will swing back - we have more chance to enfranchise more people then we have in the history of our republic. None of this will be perfect - but look Bernie Sanders and others are already elected - VOTE and help people get registered to VOTE.

Attorney General Jerry Brown’s updated opinion from the SF Chronicle on the ramifications of prop 8 aka the prop that is destined to fail and if it does succeed would create a whole heap of crap , way more then allowing gay marriage has or would. The ariticle dated Aug 5th and states if it did pass it would not be retroactive…so why don’t the fundi’s just go back to their pews ..oh wait rhetorical question..they are too busy feeding the poor doing charity and praying - NOT !

Ok first and foremost let me say right of the bat for those who want to see the fundis put back in their pews and out of public life - we are winning see their latest defeat here.

Second donate your money to EqualityCalifornia - these state by state groups such as EqualityNM etc. have great grass roots success. Much greater than the HRC and they the state Equality groups are in a federation with eachother..so people send your bucks to yours and if you have extra to states that need it -

..you will get a big bang for your buck. If you are not on yours or California’s eq mailing list - do so right away. Gay Marriage is a civil right. Its one that people deserve because of the Bill of Rights and the Separation of Church and State. The fundi’s have had their decade and i think the majority of regular folks out there are sick to death of fear tactics and having religion shoved down their throats..

That being said , Same sex marriage is good for humans - good for society..more opportunities for health care coverage, and the over 1000 civil laws and rights that come with “marriage” hey call it what you want to but marriage is the parlance WE will not tolerate separate but equal - marriage is both a religious and civil action..Its a legal binding contract. This is about equal human rights. so here are a few resources. Prop 8 will be defeated. But not with any of us sitting down , or at least sporting a bumper sticker and/or putting them everywhere Because indeed WE ARE EVERYWHERE and our gay agenda is to live in peace with the same rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness as any other person in this country..We pay our taxes , raise our families, work our jobs..and LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Equality for all - nothing less with do.

..And just a note for those who say the Transgendered somehow do not do enough for lgb rights - wake up and learn your history..we have always led these battles ! ALWAYS - in fact Shannon Minter who argued the marriage case in the Supreme Court in case you were un aware is a Trans MAN. ..so when it comes to ENDA demand a brand new bill - period nothing else will do - and don’t blame the Trans people for the shit created solely by the insider lay down with dogs liars know as the HRC - they are a brand, they are a mega corporation - give your money where you choose, but if you think the HRC is gonna win this one YOU are sadly wrong - It will be EqualityCalifornia — none the less - all lgbTq organizations are important and follow your conscience its your money..but unity around supporting the HRC is NOT where we need to be or what needs to be said Unless of course you are an elitest who thinks insider Washington politics is just fine and dandy..

We are all transformers at the very least. Whether we are transforming our life styles i.e. due to the economic situation in this country, or our own spiritual journey, or gender journey - all of life is change. And together we are transforming this culture. Sometimes quietly in our localities, sometimes loudly nationally, THEY WILL HEAR FROM US. WE will Keep speaking out, doing small acts of honesty and activism (and in my book no act is too small) - it might start with keeping ourselves healthy as possible , it could be supporting a friend one who is burnt out on politics or other inner struggles…we can be the change we want to see. First they fight you , then they laugh at you, then you win. Ghandi.

There are many ways to feed our spirits, many sources to draw inspiration from - we need to go to those wells, and study the history of all the human rights struggles for social changes, be they in labor, womens sufferage, racism, the pro peace movement, religious freedom or the lgbtq liberation …there are lessons there and there is perspective to gained - where are we, in this long human history of human struggle in a barbaric world ? Where did we come from ? Where are we going? How do we continue to move forward towards a more humane and just world ? There are books, roadmaps, and new trails to blaze. We have our leaders, our cutting edge thinkers..we can study and learn…onward we go..there is no turning back !

Transformation never comes in an instant either..its often a slow and grinding process - BUT can we ever stop? rest yes, but change is worth fighting for , all civil rights struggles are paved in blood - Ours as lgbTq is paved in blood as well. Its for those who went before me, suffered even greater outrages and even more isolation often giving their own lives its in honor of their memories, pain and deaths that i will keep going. They did not die in vein. We can make their lives matter even more by our actions today. Our actions can honor those who went before us. We must never forget them and the sacrifices they made for the causes.

No i not a great writer, but i am one voice. And silence = death. Apathy is not an option - to many have died, for voting rights, for human rights, to end wars, - me “i feel like i owe it to someone” - to quote Crosby Stills and Nash from the song - Almost Cut My Hair.

Well we have been busy reading, networking, and simply have not been in front of the computer that much doing our usual blog rounds. The blog remains important , but currently not my top priority. I have been reading , that has become my top priority. Heaven knows there is no shortage of political outrages of every shade - More then ever i want those in office who have torn our Constitution, Bill of Rights and seperation of Church and State punished. My book pile , is slowly getting chipped away at - since killing my TV but for Free Speech TV.

Recently read books Whipping Girl by Julia Serano - its a must read road map towards all of our liberation her concepts of cisgenderism and cissexism are the concepts that will liberate US - this book i cannot reccomend enough.

Leslie Feinberg ’s Stone Butch Blues..wow, its not what i expected and you will find Ze is a committed Workers World Activist as well as a Transgendered Warrior who wants to see not just safe spaces for lgbtQ people but a safer world, much like Julia’s Serano’s vision. Fienberg also has two other books out and a third on the way. She is a voice that if you have not heard it - seriously consider turning your eyes and ears Hir way.

Also the Riddle of Gender , and Nature’s Rainbow books books books ! - there are so many more - What are some of your suggestions ? And don’t forget Naomi Klein’s the Shock Doctrine, all of Chalmers Johnson’s trilogy, Howard Zinn a People’s History of the United States.

so basically , keep going to your go to spots on the blogosphere..Bilerico, Pam’s , Joe.my.God. From the Left. Bloggernista and the many others..Sirens Chronicles. Angry Black Bitch, Truth Out, Bluebloggin, Common Dreams, Buzzflash Alternet - we all have our favorites. And there are so so sooo many issues. Thank goodness there are more than just a few of us , who care and care deeply.

- many of these websites are on the side bar here. Have a great rest of the summer ! And for those of you that are blogging regularly THANK YOU !

I am deeply thankful for the better writers/ bloggers out there and must allow the ebb and flow of my own stream of life. Notes is not dead , nor sleeping - just taking a little rest. Please do not forget us. Sure as the Sun Rises , new wind will fill our sails..and who knows a gale could come when i least expect it , in fact i am counting on it. Seems thats the way life goes for me. No sooner do i say i am resting , when shazzam back at it again.

PS. Those books on your list to recommend would love to see them in the comments, and hear why you feel they are not to be missed. Summer after all is a time for reading. Alas for me, multi tasking is hard. My eyes are on politics, social change and how we achieve it. Soo again , just resting here for a bit. Don’t forget us. And hopefully i will be back and blog rounding again very very soon.
