I still had to repair some wiring and supports damaged by the non-stop rains but was given an opportunity to relax in the garden during that rain-free morning. Surprisingly, my bat plant bloomed! I got her sometime in April or May this year and haven't seen her  bloom.  I am so lucky

I had three cuttings of these from our friendly neighbor when they "trimmed" down their tree.  I am not really sure though if this is a member of the Yucca family. I really love the big blooms it gives us all through out the year.  It blooms almost every day!  Sometimes it it attacked by the white monsters and suffers from yellowing leaves, but with simple grooming, my Red Gumamela survives and continuously shows off her great red blooms.
