It looks like the feud between rapper Ludacris and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly has ended following a recent conversation that took place between the two men.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Ludacris revealed that he confronted O’Reilly at an event the two attended and things went from there.

"The first thing I said to him was, 'I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me'," Ludacris told RadarOnline.com. "He wasn't expecting to see me, at all. The look on his face when he saw me approaching…priceless."

Although it’s still unclear how exactly the feud between the two began, O’Reilly constantly expressed his distaste for the rapper on his show The O’Reilly Factor and was even successful in getting Ludacris’ endorsement with Pepsi dropped.

"From there, we came to a common ground,” said Ludacris. “To be honest with you, we came together and did an event for charity - as crazy as it sounds. Perhaps everything happens for a reason...It took about seven years for that to happen, but it finally happened. And the joy that came over me, well, it was outstanding."

News of O’Reilly and Ludacris’ conversation comes only days after the release of Ludacris’ latest project Battle Of The Sexes

Erykah Badu Gets Sample Cleared with Help of Twitter

Erykah Badu was working on her new album New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh, and she came up with a song that uses a sample of Wings’ song “Arrow Through Me”. The rights of this song are actually owned by Paul McCartney, from the group the Beatles and Wings. She could not go through the regular legal bulllshit to get the sample cleared because she had a deadline before having to submit the final version of her album. So she took to her Twitter and tweeted, “less than 24 hours or song wont make album . help . it will happen!!”

That tweet made it to the feed of Zoe Kravitz who then passed it on to her father Lenny Kravitz, who then told his friend Stella McCartney, who is the daughter of the famous Beatle. Just 11 hours after Paul McCartney found out about Badu’s situation, He cleared it and we will have New Amerykah Part Two on March 30th (hopefully).

The much anticipated album by my standards of course comes out tomorrow. It is only right for me todo a review for one of my favorite cartoon character monkeys. It seems like each album is nothing like the last and this one is no exception. If you are looking for another Demon Days, you are sadly mistaken. The only similarity is the De La Soul feature. Demon Days pretty much starts the bar for me because I consider it a classic, but will Plastic Beach do the same?

Beats 10- I don’t even want to call them beats. They are a bunch of greatness. You can tell that the band put an epic amount of effort in their music. Most of their features are not even singers and rappers, but music ensembles to help with the sound they are trying to create. Gorillaz seem to be in their europop phase in music, but I don’t mind it at all. Instrumentals like Rhinestone Eyes, Stylo, and On Melancholy Hill keep my head nodding. It is easy to say that the beats are the strongest part of the album.

Lyrics 7- This is where the album lacks. The lyrics are not that great and I mainly blame all of the artists that they have on the album. Yes Demon Days had a lot of features, but they were artists like De la Soul and MF DOOM. When Snoop Dogg is introducing the album something is clearly not right. Not to diss Snoop, but I think the Gorillaz are too abstract to his kind of music. I was listening to his lyrics and I honestly didn’t understand much of what he was talking about. Bobby Womack and Mos Def in Stylo has to be the best song on the album, but the rest of the cast does do much justice to the greatest instrumentals I heard in a long time. I wish I heard more Gorillaz than I did other people if you know what I mean.

Concept 8- The concept is easy when you get to know once you figure out what the songs are about. Gorillaz are very abstract and it takes a couple spins to get the message. I believe that the concept of the album is to show people how the world should be in their eyes. This is evident in songs like White Flag and On Melancholy Hill where Gorillaz and their guest artists talk about the basic features of the Plastic Beach. I am not going to tell you what Plastic Beach is comprised of because it took me a while and you should give a real listen to it.
Dope Tracks

04 - Rhinestone Eyes- Unfiltered Gorillaz with no guest artists. This is what I’m talking about.

05 - Stylo (feat. Bobby Womack and Mos Def)- It’s just nice to hear Mr. Womack on a recent rack. Maybe it’s time for a new album?

10 - On Melancholy Hill- Another Gorillaz track that I put on repeat.
Not-So-Much Tracks

12 - Sweepstakes (feat. Mos Def & Hypnotic Brass Ensemble)- It’s the longest track on the album. I just wish it were shorter.

Conclusion- If you are a fan of Gorillaz and/or you are fan of euro pop (I go both ways PAUSE), you should definitely pick up this album from your local website. No one goes to the store

Concert Review: Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 Tour, Verizon Center

The Verizon Center was lit on fire after Jay-Z took the stage to a sold out arena Wednesday night. Accompanied by fellow artists Trey Songz and Young Jeezy, the show was truly an unforgettable evening.

The night began with an opening number by Trey Songz. Though his set lasted only a few minutes, he performed a few of his hits including "I Invented Sex" and "I Gotta Go" before bringing out surprise guest Wale, and although he only performed the first verse from "Pretty Girls" before returning to his seat in the VIP area, this was the first moment the entire audience was brought to their feet. Trey's 30 minute set conclude when he brought two females to the stage with a bottle of champagne for a drink. He soon realized that he only had one glass to pour the drink into, so after pouring one for one girl, he asked the other to "Say Aah" as the song of the same title played it's opening beats.

After a short break, the screens above the stage appeared with a 10 minute countdown accompanied with the Beastie Boys song "No Sleep Til Brooklyn". After the countdown concluded, the curtains on the stage parted to reveal Jay-Z's live band "The Roc Boys", all standing in front of screen cut out in the shape of New York's sykline. The band began playing "On To The Next One" as Jay-Z rose from the stage (wearing "all black everything") to an electrified audience.

Despite this, Jay-Z remained very mellow as he played through his most recent hits "D.O.A.", "Run This Town" and "Empire State of Mind". Even after bringing out former label mate Memphis Bleek to accompany him on various tracks (as a hypeman for the rest of the evening, very sad considering he once had a budding career...but that's another story), Jay remained very low key during his performance.

Not until Young Jeezy appeared to perform the track "Real As It Gets" did the energy in the room spike, as Jay-Z breifly left, leaving Jeezy to perform hits such as "I Luv It" and "Put On", while occasionally dropping his verse from Circulate "And they love me out in DC, just like go-go", sending the crowd into a frenzy.

When Jay-Z did return, however, the party was in full swing. After showing the now famous video of President Barack Obama "brushing the dirt off his shoulders" and performing said song, Jay proceeded to inform that audience that he was going to take it back, and that fans of recent albums "Blueprint 3" and "Kingdom Come" should go home as the "roads are empty, there's no traffic". He proceeded to perform snippets from his catalog, including "Big Pimpin'", "Excuse Me Miss" and "I Just Wanna Love U". "Let me know if I'm going to far back!" Jay exclaimed as he removed his leather jacket and wiped sweat from his head. "I got a million of these!

After the nearly 30 minute "best of" medley, Jay turned his attention once to the audience, pointing out fans as the camera panned around the arena. After thanking the audience and some attendees personally (one girl wearing a pink shirt with pink highlights was affectionately referred to as having her "all pink everything"), the horns blazed as "Encore" began. Finishing the set, he returned back to the trap door he appeared from nearly 2 hours ago, disappearing from the crowd while concert goers raised their diamonds to the sky and the performance faded to black.
