I need a laptop. I do believe that’s what I will be saving for after this trip. Because I neeeeeds one. Yus.

Mark has finished digging his trench and wiring up his shop. Well…mostly finished the wiring I think. He got some kind of board today to put on the walls so he doesn’t burn the place down with his torch and hot glass. Teehee.

I started writing a story. I must motivate myself to keep writing the story. This is why I need a laptop. And a longer attention span. I’ve been distracted three times just writing this blog entry. This could also be because I’ve forgotten what I originally planned to write in here.

I can’t believe it’s almost September. Where on earth did 2010 go? I’ll miss you, August. I always enjoy your 31 days.

So, KY this weekend. And then I really want Mark to figure out what we’re doing with the random hole/wire in the stair/hall-place so that I can get up there and paint it. It’s supposed to be the same color as the foyer, but I must plug the holes first.

Yeh, there is some wire sticking out of the wall in the most random of places…and we have no idea what it’s for. It doesn’t appear to come out of the other side of the wall in one of the guest rooms…but it comes out and goes back in to the wall high up in the hall above the stairs. Here…

See? We don’t know what was going on there…but yeh. I can’t paint until we do something with it

Haha I keep singing even though my voice is utterly against it at the moment. It’s not pleased with the fact that even though it’s recovering from all the germies I can’t resist singing along with good musics. Silly throat.

I need to finish laundry. I don’t wanna. Laundry sucks. Why do we need clothes anyway? Boooo on clothes! Boooo I say!

Haha I got distracted having Cam chase the laser pointer. That never gets old.

I want to paint, but all my painting stuff is on the other side of the house in the basement. And my painting floor is currently covered in all the crown moulding that I have NOT painted yet. And by the time I got everything out I think I would be too tired to actually do any painting, since my energy has not yet come back. Soooo…I think that will wait.

Alrighty then…I really do keep getting distracted. So I’m going to go…be distracted.

So Mark was excited because we haven’t been camping in a while plus he didn’t know where we were going. He thought he was going to have to set up the tent in the dark and all on Friday cause we went up after he got off work and things. But, no…there was no setting up. It was glorious. I packed one bag with a few pairs of clothes, bathing suits and towels just in case, I packed 2 plastic plates and cups, some plastic spoons to spread Peanut Butter and Jelly (capitalized because I want to), a cooler with the jelly and some hot dogs, stuff to make s’mores, bread, water, sheets and pillows, the camera, some folding chairs, logs for the fire (and kindlin), books to read…and that was it! So light…so easy. It took us 10 minutes to unpack at the site and about that to re-pack when we left. Sooooo nice.

So anyway…we got there about 9pm Friday night and Mark totally loved it (so did I). It had a little back porch that looked out on the lake-thing in the State Park (and awesomely, this place is only about a 1/2 hour from where we live! So not a long drive). We got all our stuff in and then it started raining. Which was really nice too. So we basically relaxed for about 30 minutes and then went to bed. Yup. 9:30 on a Friday night and we zonked out It poured all night, with some thunder that scared me awake at one point.

In the morning it was still pouring so we just slept until about noon. Awesomesauce.

When it eventually stopped raining Mark made a fire (yup…with wet wood and all…Mark’s awesome like that) and we had some s’mores and hot dogs. Mark then went back to bed and proceeded to sleep all day. Literally all day. I read my book all day. That was what we did. Slept and read. I finally got him up about 8:30 that night and he made another fire so we could have some more s’mores and hot dogs (I had a pbj) and then we just sat around the amazing fire until about 11. Then he went to bed again and I finished my book.

So basically…we did NOTHING all weekend and it was fantastic. And just what we needed. And now I’m happy to be back at my house and I soooo missed my puppy and I am glad to have his wiggly butt back here with me. But definitely doing the yurt thing again sometime. Maybe for longer so we can actually do some other things…but maybe not.

But yeh super happy to see mah puppeh again. AND when he came home (dad dropped him off) Mark and I needed some food, so we left him in the house alone for the first time. Usually we put him in the back yard, but he really didn’t want to go out there. And he was such a good boy! We couldn’t find anything that he chewed or peed on or anything. I just wanted to squish him. AND he has finally gotten the command ‘lay’ (and totally looks excited when he does it). It was frustrating because he’s known for a while what it MEANS he just simply refused to do it. But apparently he’s decided he will now. I love it. Plus he can be out front without a leash because he’s learned to come when called. So nice. Not that we let him run around out there all the time, but I take him with me to the mailbox and if I am going out to the car or something…and sometimes if I’m just doing something in the yard. He’s so good. I luffers him.

So yeh…that’s my update. Mark’s out back digging a trench through our back yard He’s running wires back to his shop so he can get his glassblowing back up and running. He has barely been able to do any since we moved.

Anyway…this is what I am talking about when I say we stayed in a yurt:

Teh hubby is in Ohio at the moment. He’ll be home tomorrow, but he’s up there for work. I misses him. Even though he’s only been gone since this morning.

Weekend weekend…I don’t really remember what I did this weekend. Side job for Mark on Saturday, and then Sunday he and I and my dad went for a drive and then just hung out at the house. No super awesome 4th of July celebration here.

Siblings came over last Thursday and we all had a nice family dinner and watched a movie. That was pretty awesome.

I’m currently hungry and trying to decide what I want to eat. And whether or not I can un-lazy myself enough to actually type up this story. I just dread trying to get all of the little details out of my head and onto the paper/screen correctly. Also, since in most of my dreams my characters lack names, I need to come up with some for the two main characters. Luckily this time quite a few of the other characters were actually named in the dream. Though I think I may have already chosen for the main ones…

Tomorrow I need to clean the house. A super shedding dog means vacuuming on a more frequent basis, and I really really want to get most of the place unpacked finally. The few random boxes still lying around are driving me crazy. Although most of the pictures/paintings won’t be up until we get the last few rooms painted, when we get the monies for that fun stuff. Thenthenthen….housewarming partay! Woot.

Speaking of woot…I need to browse shirt.woot.com. I haven’t checked it in a while.
Meh…nothing awesome since I last checked. Oh well. Less chance for me to spend monies anyway

I can’t seem to find my actual book journal. I found the full one, but not the current one. I guess it must be in a box I haven’t unpacked yet, though I did look through most of them. It will turn up, I guess. I hope it does…it has about 3 years worth of stuff in there to add to the other 6 in the full one.

Wendy’s? Maybe.
Zaxby’s? Meh…think they’re closed anyway.
Steak n’ Shake? Meh.

Wendy’s is sounding best. Chick-fil-a is closed. I had it for lunch but it still sounds pretty tasty. Must please the chicken gods. Although…I think that might only work at breakfast. Dunno.

I might go to the pool again tomorrow after cleaning.

Later tonight I’m headed to the BIL’s house to hang with his wifey. Staying there tonight since it’s her day off tomorrow.

Probably taking in my brother’s friend’s puppy who needs a home. With our awesome yard and me being at home all the time, it’s a good time for it…plus he’s uber sweet and so well-behaved, especially for just being 6 months.

The stove issue has been resolved, so yay for that!

I just want to go hang out by the pool all day again. Maybe my sister has a day off this week and we can go chill at the pool. I don’t think there are really any other set plans this week…or the rest of this month! Muahaha.

Everything is out of the other house, now it’s just down to unpacking in this one. I seem to be missing a box of kitchen items…I hope I find it cause I like the stuff I seem to be missing.
I’ve made 2 1/2 gallons of fresh-squeezed lemonaid this week…I just can’t seem to make it fast enough to keep any in the fridge! Apparently I need a bigger container. And maybe a juicer…all I have at the moment is one of those juicers where you twist the fruit on the spindle thing.

There is a bird’s nest with three tiny eggs in it in on of the hanging plants on the front porch. I want to get pictures, but it’s high up and I don’t want to really disturb them. I went to water all the hanging plants today and I watered the one next to it and mama bird flew out…so I checked it before I watered that one, luckily. So…that plant might not make it, but it’s for a good cause.

There’s also a male writing spider in a web on the front porch. Creepy. And I can’t seem to find a female anywhere, which is freaking me out a bit. I do NOT want to be surprised by that massive thing.

*yawn*

Anyway.

What’s been up, you wonder?

Well…I suppose if you haven’t actually talked to us in a while you wouldn’t know we bought a house. We’ve been in it a little less than a month now. There’s still a lot of unpacking to do. Heck…there’s still PACKING and moving from the old house to do! But, we’re planning on knocking that out tomorrow.
So…I love our house. Almost every day I do an excited little dance and seem to love it more and more. Finding it, offering on it, and closing on it seemed to be super fast and take forever at the same time. But we got back a nice amount from them overestimating our closing costs, and so we were able to do a lot of the repairs and some cosmetic things we wanted to do right away. 3 out of 5 of the main floor rooms are painted, so that’s awesome. We just have the foyer/entrance room and the master bedroom to do there. The bonus room upstairs is going to stay as-is for a while…it’s brown but not hideous. Haha. So upstairs it’s just the hallway, because the 2 bedrooms will be done being painted pretty soon as well as the bathroom. And the basement is staying white…except for my painting room which I am sure will eventually be an array of colors from my splattering and painting experiments.

Oh…I guess I haven’t specified…it’s a 3 bedroom 3 bath house with a bonus and a basement (all finished but one storage room). It’s on a 1/2 acre of land so we have a huge yard in front and back, and the back is already fenced. Half of the back is wooded and the rest is grassy…it’s super nice. We have a screened back porch.

The only thing we currently NEED is a stove!! Haha…we bought a refrigerator, and I was supposed to trade painting some tiles for a guy Mark works with for a stove he was getting rid of because he was upgrading his kitchen…but when he was bringing the stove over he didn’t tie it down in the truck and the front part of it got smashed.
So the trade isn’t happening on that one, and we hadn’t budgeted for a stove since we thought we had that taken care of.

But…it’s OK. Whenever the side job check comes we’ll get one…that or when we get the tax credit refund.

My trip fund got sucked into the closing of the house, but once the credit comes in it will be replenished and since I checked today and tickets are still awesomely cheap, I’ll be off to see mah Lizzie in Sept.

So I guess beyond moving and things there hasn’t been too too much going on. Trips to KY and OH are planned soon, and…general hanging out with siblings and things while they’re back home for the summer. I have a massage waiting for me whenever I wanna cash in on that…

I was going to delete my MySpace, but then I noticed the blogs and haven’t decided what to do with them yet. Goodness, I still have a Xanga up and out there…and I’m pretty sure there is a DeadJournal hanging around too. Maaaaan…DeadJournal. Weren’t those the days. Updating during skool. Madness and drama abound!

Now I want to wander off and see if I can’t find that.

OMG what a crazy spaz I was when I was 16/17! I’m like…what the crap am I talking about?! And so. Much. DRAMA! Whew…I’m glad there’s 90% less of that now. Srsly.

How can someone rant and rave about the fact that people should be able to say anything they want. Voice their opinions to the world. FREEDOM OF SPEECH MOTHER FUCKERS! And then BITCH when they get a phone call advertisement.

But it’s raining and cold. And 12:20am. Not that that matters, I went at 12:30am yesterday.
