This week we take a look at the cult classic Fright Night, the original, not the shitty remake. This is a new style of bad movie commentary, as this clearly is not a bad movie, and it’s cut up with the best parts rather than the full length film.

We plan on releasing a new bad movie commentary over the next few months with most of them continuing the trend of being truly bad films, with a good one or two sprinkled in for fun. We also plan to have some more audio podcasts, so stay tuned.

Meet Howard Langston, a salesman for a mattress company is constantly busy at his job, and he also constantly disappoints his son, after he misses his son’s karate exposition, he tries hard to come up with a way to make it up to him, this is when his son tells Howard that he wants for Christmas is an action figure of his son’s television hero, Turbo Man. Unfortunately for Howard, it is Christmas Eve, and every store is sold out of Turbo Man figures, now Howard must travel all over town and compete with everybody else including a mail man named Myron to find a Turbo Man action figure, and to make it to the Wintertainment parade which will feature Turbo Man.

This week we touch on the Tom Holland masterpiece, Child’s Play. With it’s gaping plot holes, a filthy mouthed doll, Andy the falling kid, and so much more this film has everything a cheap horror film should have. This is our 4^th installment of bad movies, but our first Hollywood film that actually had some mainstream success raking in almost 5 times what it cost to make. However this is still a classic bad movie with all the corny lines, unbelievable events, and plot holes galore.

Child’s Play Plot:

Gunned down by Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon), dying murderer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) uses black magic to put his soul inside a doll named Chucky — which Karen Barclay (Catherine Hicks) then buys for her young son, Andy (Alex Vincent). When Chucky kills Andy’s baby sitter, the boy realizes the doll is alive and tries to warn people, but he’s institutionalized. Now Karen must convince the detective of the murderous doll’s intentions, before Andy becomes Chucky’s next victim.
