As I told you guys, we will be talking about hair care soon...it is here! First thing men notice after obviously the assets is your hair so it is extremely important that you take good care of your tresses.

I have start with suggesting you all to do oiling before head bath, it may sound old fashioned but take my word, your hair will benefit the most, it is simple and inexpensive. Your frizzy hair will become history. Let's see what oil options you got coconut oil is my favorite, you can apply it around the year. It has no bad smell and is easily available in every household for various purposes. Mustard oil is another option though it is not so bad an idea in summers, because it is too sticky to wash away. If you plan to spend a little money on the hair oil then go for Hamdard's Sweet Almond oil. It is the miracle oil, it leaves your hair smooth ans soft. If you got hair problems and you are ready a pay some more money 😦 then go for Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Hair oil. It is specially for hair treatment and you will find less hair fall and better texture of your hair. And if you want to go with my Nani's advice apply Desi Ghee! Just to tell you she is 72 and has almost no grays! My mom followed her advice and guess what, she is 50 and has no grays! I hate the smell and all so you see I might have grays in years to come 😬

I have no advice on using shampoo for washing your hair. The only thing you should see before you buy any of those fancy bottles is that they are not too harsh as in doesn't have too many chemicals and doesn't leave your hair dry and dull. Most of the anti dandruff shampoos that I have tried do that to my hair, so I have stopped using them. If you have dandruff put then you can add lime juice or curd to coconut oil and apply before head bath. Try buying herbal shampoo which are mild and don't leave your hair dry and limp.

We need to discuss about hair styling tools. Don't use hair dry to blow dry your wet hair without using a hair serum which protects your hair from the hot air and doesn't make your tresses frizzy. Don't forget to towel dry your hair before you use the hair dryer! And if you don't need to style or dry your hair urgently then avoid using it. Sundays are best days to take a head bath and wait for your hair to dry naturally and in between the week you have no option but to use the dryer!

Before you use hair straightener, make sure your hair are completely dry, it will ruin your hair forever trust me on that! No amount of oil and spas will fix it. Moreover hair fall would increase in case you straighten before drying your locks.

Always start to comb.brush your hair from the ends so that while you untangle your tresses, you don't break them. Gradually move towards the crown area, it will help you have less hair breakage. The popular wide tooth comb is also a good option but the movement has to be from hair ends towards the crown.

You got the save your hair from the Sun as well. Covering your head will do the trick.

Make sure you are washing your hair regularly and whenever required. Don't delay taking a head bath. It will lead to hair fall.

Don't forget to comb your hair before you sleep. It is relaxing and helps in hair growth (my aunt told me that)

Happy Hair!

P.S: Not that it is important here, but I have nice hair.

Since there are two weddings lined up in my family, I have all the reasons to talk about the beauty regime for brides to be. Though family members getting married are men (My kid brother and my husband's kid brother...both of them are named Karan! Extra information doesn't hurt 😇) but being a woman I have better advice for the brides.

To start with, the most important thing is to avoid stress. You may have time for shopping and preparing for your big day or you may not, but you shouldn't stress. Ask me why? Because it is going to make things worse!

Secondly, bride to be needs to sleep for eight hours on a stretch and eat well. Stay away from oily food and drink lots of water (6-7 litre) and fluids to avoid skin eruptions. If you ain't getting enough sleep because of your work schedule (one of them works for a media house 🙋) then check if your eyes have dark circles, use tea bags for under eye treatment (a home remedy) instead of fancy stuff available for the same. This is not the time to experiment and use products on your skin which you haven't used ever.

Talking further about eating right, increase your Vitamin C intake as it helps flush toxins and makes your skin glow. Remember internal healing of the skin would do better job than applying creams over it. You may use Google for finding fruits and veggies that are rich in Vitamin C, Oranges are one!

Be it Summer or Winter, don'y ever forget to use sun-block for face and arms, preferably SPF-30 something! We (Girls) all know about the problems exposure to Sun can bring upon us. Avoid unnecessary clean-ups and facials, once a month is just fine. Your beautician might tell you to have minimum of a week's gap between a clean up and facial. Clean up is done first!

Don't you forget to protect your lips, yeah that's important. There are number of lip balms which have sun protection factors built in. If they are very dry and often so, then apply cream (malai) before going to bed and if you don't like the smell or taste of it, then you can use glycerin mixed with rose water to do the trick for you.

Instead of dieting, go for a 30 minutes walk and moreover it will leave your skin glowing. Sweating will remove toxins yet again. If possible, go for yoga sessions, it will keep you calm, toned and radiant!

Don't ignore the back of your neck, elbows and heels! Take good care of these too. Use coconut oil to make them soft and lime juice to lighten them.

Hair care will require another blog. Keep reading.

As the popular saying goes, diamonds are girl's best friend, most of us would agree.
The million dollar question is, Are you taking good care of your diamonds?

The thing is I'm on long leave and have ample amount of time to do stuff like these...thought I should revive my blog and talk about things I'm doing. To start with I choose diamonds. (yea, perfect choice..wink wink)

Since you have spent your hard earned money (I'm a University Professor...it is hard earned 😬) to buy this precious stone, you obviously don't want it to lose the look and lustre.
Firstly you should always store your diamonds in fabric-lined case or wrap it in cotton wool.

Secondly you should always remove your diamond ring while you do your household chores, even while you wash your hands, keep it away from cleaning agents!

Picture Courtesy: Karan Mahajan and Apeksha Padukone

Once in three months, dip the ring in lukewarm water with a drop of mild liquid cleanser, you can use a mild shampoo! Avoid using anti-dandruff shampoo for this purpose.

And, finally you must keep visiting your jeweler for getting it professionally clean, though make sure your diamond is secure 😉

he knows everything about sports! (Vidhanshu knows that too and is good at
analysis but then he has been in sports journalism long enough to know all
that) He is also the most misunderstood student but then people who may
matter to you know you well.

No one
would say 'Hey ma'am' or 'What's up' and all other cool stuff in the corridor every
time you see him. That's Shantam. He is passionate about dancing, that's how I
know him being the dance mentor. And he was with his shades on last
evening, though there was almost no sunlight he was like: it’s so sunny!

That
reminds me of our Action Jackson, the dancing star Sunny. I knew him before I
taught him, obviously because of dance and he never wished me ‘Good Morning
ma’am’ and was always ‘hello ma’am, kaise ho?’ But, then he is one of the best
dancers ASCO had.

These
were few of the people I knew before I taught class of 2015.

And when
I started teaching, I was mesmerized by a Chandigarh girl, yes you all guessed
it right Saba Sodhi. The title bestowed on her yesterday was so apt (The
Walking Enclypoedia). She is one super cool girl who can talk about everything
and anything under the Sun. Everyone who knows you, knows that you are gonna
make us all proud. And remember our talk on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, it was real
fun.

Next in
the list is my favorite student, yea I'm announcing it, Sounak Majumder. First
time I took attendance in class and mispronounced his name, he was like ma'am...it's shhh
ou nak. :P . I always thought I'm good with names. He is the rock star of ASCO.
He attends all classes, plays football, mails well-written assignments (pun
intended), sings well, directs romantic college flicks, actually an all rounder
and is omnipresent. Be it class, seminars, guest lectures, sangathan, AYF, Radio
amity, ASCO reel, and yes he was the first BJ&MC student to walk in E-2
Audi yesterday. You can discuss politics, sports, global issues and even
equity deals with him.

Then,
there's Jaspreet, our very own JaSS. :P No offences. She was the CR of the
class but never in class. Though she knew all answers if questioned and her
class mates don't even let you express your shock! Before I expressed my
astonishment at her correct answer, someone said "Yeh toh topper hai"
I was like okay fine, take it easy man! Then I saw her performing for Aaghaz
and I knew she is one great actor. I could also generalize here students who
are good, are good at everything! (Yes, I plan to write on that too)

Now,
it's time I start talking about Section C, whose promotions were done by the
mentor Pritha Chakraborty. (Tagline: It's the best class)

Whom
should I start with?

Let’s
begin with the CRs of the class.

I know
Pawandeep from one of my invigilation duties; he wrote and wrote and wrote. I
would not talk about his writing skills which are well known since he started
working with India Today. But I should talk about his editing skills. He is
ascetically great and can give amazing background score. (In the Mist) I would
miss our discussions on gadgets, music, movies, sitcoms, books, food I mean
chicken, mutton and of course coffee!

Vishal
Darse saved me from slipping on the staircase last summer and I was more than
thankful to him. Then on he never missed to greet me with a smile. When I
started teaching 3C, he was the one with loads of doubts but for change his
doubts were real and logical ones, just in case you don’t know the kinds of
questions students ask only to waste time of the class or to irritate their
faculty! But it was amazing, discussing the ethical standards of Indian media
with Mr. Darcy... I mean Mr. Darse. And
I was pleasantly surprised at the knowledge he had. Though he always saw me
praising Sounak, he was still clam and composed about it. Vishal is one of the coolest guys in ASCO
without doubt with a nice accent and the obvious swag. I will cherish our
discussion sessions and I’m sure Pritha is also going to miss you guys.

And now,
it’s going to be about two sweetest students of the class. Kritika and
Anubhuti. They are both extremely attentive in class and intelligent. Ready
with right answers, not just right answers but good answers (let me define a
good answer: correct answer which is supported with correct examples). I doubt
I would get any good answers in class anymore. They were also good at playing
handball and I hope they ODs for it, since certificates are pending. Anyway, they
are too cute to be forgotten. Yesterday, both of you looked beautiful. And I
was so touched looking at all of you together as one happy family of friends.
God bless!

How
shall I miss to write about Miss Super Duper Cool? She has her own rules and
she lives life to the fullest. She plays football in corridor and uses her cell
phone in class but knows her stuff too. That’s what makes her the coolest one.
She is Phalak Anjum.

BJ&MC
3C was one of a kind class without doubt. I have not interacted much with lot
of students but I noticed how hard working Salina and Shailvi are, how adorable
Salina looks, how naughty Maaz can be, how innocent Ashima is, how talkative
and passionate Sumesh is, how intelligent Riya Kapoor is, how silly Sahil can
be, how creative Aayushi is, how stylish Karnika is, how busy Abhay is, how pink
Herman (Yea, he actually spells is with ‘E’) is? I may be missing a lot of
people but you all are special in your own unique way.

Let me
take this opportunity to tell you that you have been the best batch. Wish you
all the best for future. I hope and pray all of you achieve great success in
both professional and personal. J

Your
Proud Professor

I am literally forced to write this today, after looking at
young girls in the university looking like footwear disasters. Though I am NO
fashion guru but shoes is the part of the dress I can’t avoid to ignore
whenever I see any someone specifically when I have nothing on my mind. There
are three things you should totally avoid:

Causal

1. Socks with Sandals, seriously! It’s a big No for socks
with sandals no matter how fancy, cute or colorful they are. Socks are not to
be seen outside your shoes. Let your feet breathe when your wear sandals or
wear shoes. Avoid

2. Shine, shine everywhere, surely footwear with rhinestones
of all sorts is such a fad but then wearing shiny stuff in morning hours and to
be more precise in college is again a big NO. The immoderate amount of shine
and sparkle is very unattractive and in bad taste. Avoid

Partying

3. Heels have an occasion, I guess Marilyn Monroe was right
in saying that all women owe a lot to the one who invented heels but then we
should not be misusing the invention. If you already was gifted with good
height (5.7 or above) clearly you don’t need to wear heels in office, college
or in the market let the short women have to pain and pleasure to wear them in
routine and you may keep them for occasions. And if you are living in India,
you will have plenty of occasions to flaunt your heels and your height. I won’t
get into the details of the harms of wearing high heels though I would like to
warn you about it.

On wedding day

Nothing personal

No intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Vacations are really refreshing but then in India, we have
summer vacations when it’s scorching hot and it’s almost impossible to move out
in daytime. After spending around twenty days as a summer vacation I guess I
can write about how to cheat the heat this summer.

Generally in summers we prefer light colors, to cheat the
heat, its best to wear no color! White is your cheat sheet for summers. Wearing
white shirts with denim jeans is always the in thing. You may find numerous
stars wearing this combination on different occasions and day parties they
attend. (Hrithik , Farhan , Ranveer and Kareena, Deepika, Parineeti to name a
few) Men can team up with khaki trousers or shorts according to the event.
Girls may dress up their white shirt with ethic maxi skirts, pencil skirts,
ripped jeans, chic skirts or shorts!

We have been using sunglasses to beat the heat for years now
and it’s a known fact that one should wear glasses while stepping out in the
Sun. But this summer go buy circular glasses more popular as teashades!
Remember Beatle John Lennon, yes you got that right. (Others may Google him)
And yes no gender bias herein. All of you can make it yours. Find the
appropriate color of glasses with contrasting thick outline.

We like wearing cotton in summers which is cool enough but
then why carry huge tote bags in leather! Ladies avoid carrying your expensive
bags in this heat go for colorful floral printed cotton handbags. And don’t
just avoid the huge bags but also the unnecessary heavy accessories and jewels.
Keep it light. This goes for make up too; in summer the less is more for sure.
Stop using your extra shine lip gloss and milk based moisturizer instead use
compact powder.

Personally I hate sunscreen lotions; they smell good no
doubt but make you glow a little too much (Women glow, men perspire and horses
sweat!) so it’s better to wear a hat than applying a sunscreen. A hat would
keep you cool and also protect your eyes moreover hats are attractive and fun. Girls
may go for wide brimmed hats (3 inch or more), tie back caps, straw hats and
sun hats. Men may try wide brimmed, bucket hat or even a sun hat! I know most
of you will buy the super stylish golf hats! Try in front of the mirror and see
how the hat goes with your body structure or built.

In summers, we desire to drink more than eat. We have been
listening to this now since long enough to know that you should drink plenty of
water and keep ourselves hydrated. I would suggest you to have frozen treats
like ice creams and popsicles. You may eat fresh seasonal fruits, have juices
and yoghurt. And cool your tea and coffee as well. Try Ice tea and go for
frappes!

And do take a shower whenever possible.

Keep it cool.

Usually people think that teaching is boring job, and I had
a similar viewpoint until I started teaching in 2008! LONG TIME

Anyhow, it’s not that boring at all. As a teacher to get to
interact with youngsters who are so much different from you and many a time
learn a lot from them. As far as the interaction part is concerned, I have
always loved talking to people and interaction with students is really good.
When I was working with a University in Punjab, the interaction was very different
from what it is here, in a university located in NCR. But then the student – teacher
relationship has changed and so has the interaction. I have been a witness to
that change as a student when my teachers started giving that friendly vibes
and I could go to them for all sorts of discussions on a career choice to a new
found love interest.

While studying in MJMC, I was approached by my HOD to do her
favor and teach my super juniors two subjects whose faculty had gone for a long
leave. One was film studies and the other was Public Relations! I was more than
happy that she trusted my knowledge so much and I was extremely grateful when I
was told that I would be paid for it. True story! (No worries HIMYM is over but
you will see, view, read and few may write phrases we all loved)

I had great beginning, and made great friends with all my
students actually my juniors and they still have place in my Facebook account. :P

Teaching is one thing and invigilation is another. Yeah! It all
started in January 2009 and goes on and on. In my first invigilation duty I was
so surprised that I called my momsy and kept on chattering about students’
faces in examination for one and half hour. Yes, my mother has lot of patience.

And these days since examinations are on and I have like 6
hour invigilation duty per day, I have made few observations and would like
share them with my readers. (thoda formal ho gaya. I hope you are still
interested to read further! Never mind)

There are around 20 different categories of students, you
can see in an examination hall. Let’s begin…

As soon as a faculty distributes the answer books the first
category is of students can be identified, they are the ones who have not
brought their own writing supplies and keep on asking for it from nearby
student or sometimes the faculty as well.

After distribution of question papers, the second type is
visible, the questioning type, who start turning around and asking for word
meaning and definitions from their class mates.

Once they are all settled and writing the paper and the faculty
is done with the major task of starting an exam, other categories starting
surfacing.

The most interesting one is of ‘Head banging’ students. They
are music lovers I don’t know, they are trying to move their head and think I can’t
say or probably trying to keep their cool after realizing that they don’t remember
a word said in class by the teacher or can’t recall what their friend told them
just before entering the examination hall.

The most boring ones
are who keep on chewing gum all the while they write their exam! I can’t stand
looking at them and shout at them to go outside and spit it.

Then there are ones who keep looking around and smile at
everyone and anyone. They are not cute but they try to seem so by smiling fake
smiles!

Another set of students are there in an exam hall who can be
called as time checkers, since they keep a keen eye on their watch or the wall
clock as if waiting for the clock to tick for half time they can go or pay a
visit to the washroom. Some of them run out to class after signing the movement
sheet. It’s funny to see them do that run!

Every examination hall has four to six thinking pots. They
keep on looking at the fans posing as if they are thinking. They keep on
staring at the floor as if they are thinking. They keep observing hair and back
of the student sitting in front of them as if they are thinking. (The pun intended.)

Then there are students who keep on playing with their hair,
most of the times these students are girls but that doesn’t mean boys are any
less. I guess after this Tattad tattad
song boys have got some special affection towards their hair falling back on
their necks and doing various versions of the original move. :D

With the image of Ranveer Singh flashing in my mind, I
recall the category of students, who doing nothing but gaze at the beautiful girl
or the good looking guy who sits in their room.

There’s
another related category that knows either the beautiful or the good looking
and try to impress them by trying telling them answers. Even if they get zero
success they are able to impress I guess. But seriously what a cheap and unethical
way to impress the opposite sex, I would actually like to know if this act of
theirs was fruitful ever…ever!

(Share your
story sonam.mahajan524@gmail.com)

Fairy tales had
sleeping beauties and modern examination centers have sleeping students, who
start the exam with wide yawn and after an hour or so they sleep. Since I am
all bored and have nothing much to do, I call out, “XYZ, Are you sleeping?”
Sometimes they thank me for waking them, and sometimes they stare at me with
questioning eyes. Either asking, why hell do you know my name? or why are you
so loud?

This category has been fascinating me, CRAMMERS! They mug up
the entire syllabus or the notes or whatever they have and while writing in
exam they repeat the whole thing after writing each sentence. (Word by word)
This category is more prevalent in first year students but nonetheless. If you ask them to repeat in their heart, they
nod and continue what they were doing. :/

I find them amusing, these are the students who bring color
box with them literally crayons or pencil colors and even sketch pens! They are
suppose to write a media paper with obvious zero usage of color but they bring
in decorate their answers. Dear students, you can highlight the key terms with
a pencil. Why you need neon orange?

Some students take their photography class too seriously and
try zooming in and zooming out for peeking at other student’s answer sheet. Their
success rate is almost zero but they can’t stop trying.

This category is new to me, as in I had not seen something
like this happening earlier. Neither when I was student (but then I was hardly
paying attention to this detail), nor when I working in the previous
university. The show stoppers are the one who remove all their accessories and
jewelry while they write their exam and believe it or not there’s pile of
things lying on the left side of their table. It usually includes a watch,
rings, bracelet or a bangle, bands, sunglasses, wallet, card holders, cap, hair
pins, hair bands and the like. With the category your good ten to fifteen minutes
can pass.

Then there are students who have come to write an exam, the
good types who start writing as soon as you hand over the answer booklet to the
end of the three hour duration. And the best part is that if it’s an easy
paper, they complete early and leave.

Finally we talk about the bad ones too, who had a plan to
cheat and write the exam. The category is named as trouble makers, who keep on
moving their head all around and keep murmuring all the time which not just
angers the faculty but also disturbs all others who are writing the exam.

P.S: There’s category for social media influencers, who send
friend request on Facebook on the very day you invigilated in their class,
start to follow on twitter as well.

When I came to Delhi after marriage, it seemed as if it’s
the coolest place to live! But after eight months have gone by I’m back to my
earlier opinion that Chandigarh is the coolest place to live. Many of my
friends have been asking to write about my previous employer and my experience
with them, some have been asking to write on life in Delhi. Today, since I have
got some spare time, as the students have not reported for classes because of
rains and a sandwich working day, I’m about to write on the Metros in Delhi.

My first journey on metro was from Chatarpur station to
Rajiv chowk. I was to meet my husband at CP. No assumptions please! I was not
working so was bored at home, though DLF promenade and Ambience was at walking
distance from our place but it’s no fun without him :P

I’m skipping the ugly details of how I entered!

Once the metro doors closed behind me, I could see all sorts
of people! The first sort consisted of ‘Gazers’, their eyes followed me. I can’t
guess it was the chura I was wearing which made them think I just got married
and the rest vulgar thoughts or they were just wanting my seat or simply
checking my Vero moda blazer! I ignored a few and stared back at some.

The second kind is of ‘Chatterboxes’, they kept on talking
about something or the other. Someone had a terrible fight with her boyfriend
so she was narrating the whole story to a friend. Someone else was complaining about
juice cartons not delivered yet. I plugged in my ear phone and heard to “Rise
up”

The third type is of ‘Gourmandizers’, they were the ones who
looked around and then with a sweep popped chips or grapes or unfinished lunch.
I hated the smell of that half finished lunch and tried looking for something
from my own bag! And I found a chocolate; a girl sitting exact opposite to me
took out momos out of her bag and started to much. Believe me silk was not at
all smooth or silky!

The fourth category is of ‘Liars’, they lied all the way. A man
in tie lied on phone that he has reached Central secretariat while we were
crossing Jor Bagh and when we were at Central Secretariat, he lied he has
reached Rajiv Chowk! A college student lied too in a similar fashion.

The fifth variety is of ‘Bookies’, they entered by pushing people
aside and rush for a seat as soon as they enter metro without looking that it’s
a for old and physically challenged. Interestingly a guy seemingly gay rushed
inside and got a seat, before he could relax himself rather even remove his
satchel and elderly woman came and started to shout at him to get up and show
some respect to his elders. It was scene! He changed the compartment within few
seconds of getting up.

Before I could notice any more people Rajiv Chowk came and
before I could look at any faces I saw Vivek pulling me out of the crowd.

(for husbands)

Around 4pm a wife called her husband in office, “Hey hubby,
Do buy a bottle of shampoo before you come home.”

Husband replied, “Sure, anything else”

On his way back home, he stopped by a shopping mall and got
confused when he saw various brands of shampoos.

He called his wife and asked, “Honey, which brand would you
prefer?”

She replied, “Ahhh, Dove…”

“I’ll reach home in ten minutes, see you”, he disconnected.

Next day around 11:30am, he received his wife’s call at
office

“COME HOME RIGHT NOW WITH A SHAMPOO BOTTLE, YOU MORON” his
wife shouted from the other side of the phone.

“Hey honey, I brought you shampoo yesterday evening. Is
everything all right? Why are you shouting?” he inquired

“Mr. BLIND, YOU BROUGHT HOME DOVE CONDITIONER, YOU JUST COME
HOME NOW…” she shouted

“But right now, I’m in office and its 11:30…how am I suppose
come home now”, he explained

“I have applied heena to my head and when I tried washing it
off, there wasn’t any froth and then I read that its conditioner and not a
shampoo… am I to stay this way till your office is over” she demanded.

The husband took the day off and stopped by the shopping
mall again and read the label on the shampoo bottle bought it and went home.
She was angry at him so he had to take her to movies and later nice restaurant
for dinner.

Moral: Shopping is not picking up products, read before you
buy!

The Sun rises

The Sun sets

Days are passing

Time is fleeing

Neither the sky nor the dark clouds are changing.

I seek the sparkling clarity

But what I see is inky blackness

This reality of world is full of dirt and darkness

Moon and the stars are the witnesses of impending vagueness.

Would they ever help the World?

Or would they just stand silent watching all goodness depart
the planet Earth?

Suddenly I recall the words of my Grandmother who had
immovable faith in God

“Surrender your heart and soul to God and He will purify and
strengthen them, to save all.”

I wish her words come true and every Indian gets his heart
and soul purified so as to serve the society

Then, all prevailing darkness will be swallowed by the
bright ruby sky rising like a diamond in the East

People will no more be beasts

There we will have a new beginning and a new dawn!

Don’t know, should I be happy for the New Year

Or should I regret the mistakes I made last year

It’s really hard to decide…

I never made any resolutions

But this time I want no problems and only solutions

So maybe I should set my priorities and fix some
resolutions.

Life need not to be great and beautiful to be enjoyed…

A beautiful life is the one which fulfills the mission of a
great life.

Life is never a bed of roses, thorns are always there,

To remind you the pleasure of having the roses by your side

Success is never final

Failure is never fatal

It’s the attitude that counts.

So, live by it.

Life is a game

Be a Sachin Tendulkar and win it

Life is a Struggle

Be a Mahatma Gandhi and overcome it

Life is a movie

Be a Shah Rukh Khan and rule it

Life is a book

Be a Chetan Bhagat and write it

Life is a song

Be a Sonu Nigam and sing it

Life is fun

Be a Govinda and enjoy it

Life is music

Be a Pritam and compose it

Life is a song

I had been planning to watch this movie on the very day of
its release (14.09.2012) but somehow could not and watched the next day…then I wanted
to write about it on the very night I had seen it but anyhow I could not…

It’s such a pleasing movie to watch with lovely story line, delightful scenes, radiant
atmosphere, good looking cast, captivating plot and amazing performances. I got
so engrossed in the story line and it had such an influence on me that I have
been thinking about the character barfi and jhilmil ever since the day I saw the
movie, it’s been more than ten days and the hangover is still there. I keep
humming the title track all day long!

I had been listening to the songs long before I saw the movie
and knew it would have lot tragedy in it, ala barfi song says a lot about his
childhood and his loss. But I had never imagined that the movie will have a
happy ending, laughter in almost every second scene and magic in every shot.

Viewers had a lot to learn from the title character of the
movie. His attitude towards life even though he is not as gifted as so many of
us are, is the first lesson. His happy go lucky nature is part of the lesson. His
make believe tricks another lesson for guys on how to allure girls and also how
to choose the right person for life.

B-a-r-f-i teaches to differentiate between love and
attraction/infatuation. He is attracted at once to elegant looks of Shruti and
still continues his friendship with him after she fails in his dosti test. I
almost got angry at her when stepped away from him and hated her in rest of the
movie. But when Barfi falls in love, he never get to know he falling for it, it
just happens so smoothly and sweetly. Jhilmil’s love for Barfi is so pure and
innocent… oh my my! The way it is portrayed by Anurag Basu is awesome, hats
off. She runs after the bus, follows him everywhere, tries a saree, dresses up,
tries to attract his attention, and gets upset at his indifference, runs away
when she feels ignored L

I have written and rewritten the best scene, before I finish
off; it feels like another scene was little better so here’s the best scene
list:

Barfi proposes Bengali Bombshell.

Barfi offers friendship from over
the top of the clock tower

Jhilmil and Barfi first meeting

Barfi’s papa likes Bengali beauty
for his son

Barfi dances in a high class party

Barfi vents his anger

Barfi tries making Jhilmil smile
when she is terrified (Fireflies)

Jhilmil runs after the bus for him

Barfi and Jhilmil are chased

Jhilmil passes the dosti test

Barfi meets the Bengali Bahu again

Barfi brings her home and makes
her meet Jhilmil ina new dress

Jhilmil tries a saree

Jhilmil calls out for Barfi out of
the window

Barfi passes a kiss to Bengali
oldie

Jhilmil sleeps with Barfi before
they die

The most wonderful thing I learnt from the movie is that ‘Love
will never require words.’

I had been thinking of removing lot of songs from my phone playlist…but
always something came up and I delayed the deletion. Finally this afternoon it
was THE DAY and I deleted the whole playlist without any selections, 267 songs
gone! As I stepped into bed and thought of listening to some music, I had to
switch on my laptop…grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh

As I started to explore the music folders and sub folders I took
up an additional task to sort it out. So I created first folder naming Filmy
songs and added all movie song folders, named them correctly and arranged them
in alphabetical order…then created a non filmy folder to add all other songs…debarring
genre, singer and language.

While I started to see some songs and movie folders which
can be deleted… first to come was Himesh’s Aap ka Saroorrrrrrrrrrr :p It is
funny to see yourself hating something that you liked few years ago!!! I loved
Himesh’s music and even wrote few lines for his music (oh man what was I thinking?)
I guess excess of something and pride always brings some kind of downfall.

Then I looked for the folder named SRK…was curious as soon
as I had seen it when I added it to ‘filmy songs’. Simply because I could see
all his movies as other folders! And to my surprise… it had old songs of SRK…
the type I loved in school…I know it is going to be little awkward but then I want
to share with you all… list goes like kitaben
bahut, Ek din aap, jati hoon main, jadu teri nazar, deewana dil deewana, kuch
kuch hota hai, badi mushkil hai, kuch toh bata, suraj hua madham, main koi aisa
geet, tumhe jo maine dekha, bas itna sa khawab hai, ban ke tera jogi, ae ajnabi,
suniye toh, zara, tu mere samne, ae mere humsafar, mere mehboob mere sanam, lot of them love songs! And I played them all
one by one and then searched for all SRK movies and right now listening to
Tuhje dekha toh yeh…awesome awesome and awesome! Lined up DTPH songs!

In about an hour I have relived my school recesses, bunked
college lectures and so many train journeys!

At present, in India if girl weaves some dream guy in her
thoughts, all credit will go to Shah Rukh Khan and some thanks to Yash Chopra.
His movies actually sold dreams to little girls in 1990s and today all those
girls must be at a marriageable age just like me…some must have got married
just like some of my friends and many must be about to get married just like me
again! And sincerely I’m sure all of them had had liked their men to be like
Rahul or Raj played by Shah Rukh.

I was a…I mean I’m Shah Rukh Khan fan. My Papa often recalls
how I use to wake till midnight on the night of Filmfare awards to watch SRK
receive his black lady… especially in 1998…when he got Best actor award for Dil
toh Pagal hai… I was in 8th grade! I can still feel the chills I got
when his name was announced and I clapped…my sleepy momsy, “Manuuuuuuuuuu” :D
while my papa smiled his best smile at me.

After so many years when I recall those beautiful, peaceful
and joyful days I wish I could have them back. Shah Rukh Khan’s poster on the
wall, magazine cuttings of his latest movie on the study table and lamp had SRK
scribbled on it with silver pen! (I still own it… though it is lying uselessly
on the bedside)

Back then every boy
was judged on the standards set by the King Khan and I guess that’s the reason I
hated almost all guys in my school days :p

(Do read http://sonamwriting.blogspot.in/2011/12/back-school-i-got-to-know-real-men.html)

The parameters set then seem hilarious now! If I have to
share a few… he should have silky hair…the
kind which fly in the air as he moves and dimpled cheeked smile, his name
should be something close to Raj or Rahul, should be able to raise his left
brow! Seriously how crazy kinds I use to be…

And then suddenly like a wave came Hrithik Roshan and the SRK
wall poster was replaced my 3 different posters of HR, scrap books were made since
I thought I should not lose Hrithik’s pictures and interview cutting, stopped
buying comics and started to buy all filmy magazines other than Filmfare (Papa
reads it…some pocket money saved J). What crazy stuff I did as a Hrithik fan can’t be
summed up here… so good night for now little confused about today’s dreams…SRK,
Hrithik or my personal SRK and HR combo
pack Vivek J

P.S: I guess I have written a write up on HR already… but I’m
sure I must have had missed lot of details.

Don’t misinterpret this post as review of the book ‘Namesake’
or the movie ‘Namesake’.

This is post is about the NAMES and about the natural
inclination towards namesakes. It is a feeling hard to be defined, and this
doesn’t imply that the feeling is positive one. Around 20 years of my life I
had hated my own name. Earlier I thought it is too short, I had many students
in my school with long names like Harpriyageet (no offences!) and later I left my
name was too long when I loved watching Remix on Star one and leading lady had
a short name (Tia). I tried my level best in all my school years to get my name
changed but my parents were more in love with my name than me (Mind you! It was
feeling I had back then L now I think otherwise.)

Then, on one fine day my papa told me a short story on why
was I named Sonam! The day was fine but the moment was not I was fretting as
usual about my name. My papa is fond of movies and read a lot of entertainment
based content, especially filmy magazines. On hot June day he read a news
report in Screen telling about newly born Anil Kapoor’s daughter and her being
named as Sonam. Papa first read it as Sanam and thought such filmy name. As he
glanced at it again he read it right and told momsy that they will name their
daughter as SONAM!

The story is part of fairy tale called Sonam’s life :p but I
was hardly impressed by it since I had never liked hairy Anil Kapoor and had
never known the existence of Sonam Kapoor. Readers must have guessed after so
many posts about me and my life that I was prejudiced to the core. And this
rift in thought came in later years of college. J And yes I’m happy
about it. Why to judge anyone?

Later, in 2007 when Saawariya was all over the idiot box, I being
a media student at that time and almost in love with Ranbir Kapoor started to
like Sonam Kapoor too. I use watch even the repeat telecasts of all reality shows
where both Ranbir and Sonam appeared to promote their upcoming flick and always
told momsy I’m taking notes luckily that very semester I was studying Film
Studies.

Now, I can look upon that sudden like as a liking for my
namesake. Earlier I was so blinded by the liking for Hottie Ranbir. Before this
I had never known any of my namesakes. Now I don’t like Sonam Kapoor much but I
love my name! Without doubt some credit is to be given to her.

Two years ago I read the book ‘Namesake’ and liked it,
though movie was utterly depressing. And since then I keep finding namesakes,
not just my own but of others too. Last semester I had two Kunal, two Aditya,
three Sumit, two Rohit, two Swati, two Ranjan and two Sandeep in the section I taught.
I was always wondered how different namesakes are, do they know each other, do
they like each other, are they friends and stuff. I even introduced Kunal Dubey
with Kunal Paul and still wonder if they are friends now! Fingers crossed.

Interestingly I have never known my namesakes, though I have
known many namesakes of my brother, Karan. He was named after Shashi Kapoor’s
son Karan Kapoor who had appeared in the movies around the time my brother came
to our family. J
Two of my class fellows were named
Karan, one of my college friends’ name is Sukaran but everyone calls him Karan,
one of my colleagues currently in my department is named Karan… I tell you I
see him every now and then and get such brotherly feeling… oh I miss you bhai
so very much. Pretty recently I made friends with a beautiful girl named
Karanvir, faculty in university where I work. Strangely I have never had any student named
Karan and I wish I don’t…for the fear of being biased!

I have known namesakes of my papa many times somehow I avoid
calling them by their name, it an awkward feeling and same goes for my momsy as
well.

Hoping and praying to find my namesake soon…to be continued
if I found one! J

Before 2010, death was unknown to me. I lost my dear friend
Sanil Khanna on 5th June 2010 and actually experienced the void of someone
leaving the planet earth forever. It was so hard for me to stop thinking about
him, and I started to miss more than ever I thought I would. Then on 4th
October 2010, my beloved Badi Ma (Dadi) left the world with such silence that I
could not believe it. But as I saw every ritual going on in front of my eyes,
the whole world seemed to be an illusion. It was the saddest year of my life. I
wish I could erase the bitter memory of that year.

Today, as usual I logged in to my facebook account on my
phone and read Divya’s status telling the world that Rajesh Khanna is no more! I
felt like crying but controlled myself being in office.

As a student of Journalism and mass communication, I have
read a lot about him. Back in Grad years, our film studies teacher gave us a
project on film stars life, being absent in her class. I missed the opportunity
to choose Hrithik, Shah Rukh, Aamir, all present day stars were already taken…
I was asked to choose by myself and tell her as soon as possible. I called my
papa for guidance. My papa is fond of watching movies and often tells us how he
use to bunk his school and go watch movies!

I called Papa...

Me, “Hello, papa”

Papa, “Hello, haan beta!”

Me, “Pops, film studies ka project mila hai…koi film star
batao…matlab koi acha actor…”

Papa, “Dev Anand”

Me lying to him, “Rabi, bana raha hai Dev Anand par, koi aur”

Papa, “Rajesh Khanna”

Me, “Zinda hai?”

Papa, “Hai pagal, haan”

Me, “Chalo theek hai, byeeeeeeee”

Papa, “Bye”

I called Poona ma’am to tell her that I’ll be working on
Rajesh Khanna’s life and filmography. And then the Google search started…I read
all available articles of him and watched may of his films as well. Most of his
movies were super hit. The list went on and on.

SUPERSTAR! He looked so young and handsome in the movie that it could anyone’s
breath away. All men look hot in uniforms and he was no exception, that too of
Indian Air Force. I watched it around four times in 24 hours and went mad for
his character in the movie and decided to get married to an Air Force Officer! He
had looks men die for and women drool for. The way he looked at the leading
lady was amazingly romantic and his eyes said too much to be easily understood.

I was told that the term “SUPERSTAR” was first used for Rajesh Khanna, girls use marry his photograph
back then, and send him letters written in blood! I also read that he was the only
Bollywood actor who struggled to get into movies in a luxury car and that he
enjoyed godlike status once his movies were released.

I don’t exactly understand why I am writing this…I guess it’s
a reaction to the sad news I was touched by and wanted to share how I got to
know him as a great he is.

I wish his
soul rests in peace.

It’s been 8 long years I owned a book called ‘The Guide’ by R. K Narayan. Although my
momsy calls me a book freak I never touched it in all these years…but recently
I did. And I am glad that I finally read it. I myself would have never bought
this book…because of my prejudice that Indian authors don’t write good English novels…I
apologize for it now! I’m seriously embarrassed about it at present.

I grabbed first position in English in the Mid Terms held in
first year of grad year and I was given this book as a Prize. It was the year 2004;
I had already read Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel, Paulo Coelho and the like.
With lot of enthusiasm I opened the warped prize and was depressed to see “THE
GUIDE”. I hated the college authorities for doing this to me, though I’m
thankful now. I cursed the English teacher I had in first year and wished she
may never teach me ever again. The whole life was squeezed out of me and rest
of the day was so gloomy.

I came home and kept the book in between the discarded
clothes…from my side, though according to my momsy…those very clothes were in
and I looked gorgeous in them. (Maa ka pyar…you see!) I deliberately did not
give The Guide, any place in my book
cabinet. After all these years I had long forgotten about it, but this summer
vacation I came across the book by chance. It had somehow got some place on the
magazine rack. I picked it up and opened it and went to a flashback how I
received the gift wrapped book and was so excited to have it until I opened it and
the day suddenly became blue!

As I held the book in my hand I thought…2012 damn it’s been
so many years and the book looks so fresh. Back in 2004, I had not read Shobha
De, Chetan Bhagat and Durjoy Datta…and as per the literature history R. K
Narayan had been a leading writer.

So, I started to read it…

Much to my surprise, it is an amazing work of art. The book
is beautifully written in such detail that I imagine myself in Malgudi railway
station and wished to see railway Raju. The characteristics of both abstract
things and human beings are so discreetly described and illustrated that I felt
as if I know all of them in person. The so called villain had awesome shades of
grey that you feel pity for him at times. Being a girl, I wished I too could do
Bharatanatayam which leaves all spellbound. You got to read the book to feel
it.

And the social issues are explained in such a realistic way
that I felt ashamed of the society I live. I would share one of the hard truths
of Indian mind…both Rosie (a married woman) and Raju (Guide/friend to her
husband) fall in love, literally live together and have sex but when inquired
about their relationship (by different people at different times) Raju says that
she is like his sister and Rosie says that Raju is my brother. Mind you they
have not discussed this that they would say that in case someone asked, they
hardly had time and sense to talk. The book was written in 1958…even after 54
years the psychology of Indian young mind has not changed much…I know many who
call their lovers pr beloveds as their cousins. Then again the blind faith of people in Sadhus
and Babas still prevails just the way it did in the novel. I never felt I’m
reading a book written in late 1950s.

First time, I felt like yes I have read an Indian novel, Indian
author, Indian thought and Indian way of life. You got to read the book to feel
it.

First day I saw you

I felt I had known
you since ages still I resisted to talk to you much

Now when I relive
that day as one of the most beautiful days of my life

I came for shopping,
you requested me to stay so as to raise a question to me

“Why don’t ever
smile, Sona?”

My heart roared a
heavy storm of emotions, I went speechless

Later that night I thought
about it

And I am thankful to
you for showing the concern which gave me a new life

Now I always smile

Once upon a time I
had a dream, now I don’t even try to recall that dream

Earlier I tried

Earlier I happily
looked at rains, now I don’t see the dripping water

Earlier I loved long
chats with a friend, now I don’t remember that friend

Earlier I thought of flying sky high, now I don’t look up at the sky

Earlier I loved
gardening, now I don't want to see the flowers

There’s lot of
difference in then and now, and that’s reason I write…

Everyone who knows me well knows
that I've always been in a habit of correcting other people's English. It was
my favorite subject as a student and I did ponder for quite some time on the
question of pursuing English Honors. But, then decided on getting enrolled in
B. Mass Comm. Another story! J

I'm writing this post only to help readers speak good English. No offences. I hope you don't mind.

The title "Grammar Girl"
was selected after lot of thinking and rethinking. I gave this title
because many people use inappropriate words and I keep correcting wherever I’m
able to judge it’s incorrect. (It also sounded somewhat like Glamour girl :p)
The incorrect English speaking people often defend themselves by saying that it’s
not their mother tongue or it’s not their first language or the one they speak
is Indian English. So the title which
I thought at the beginning was ‘Indian English’ later I thought the title to be
degrading the image of my beloved nation so I gave another thought to it and thought
of personalizing the write up.

One of my friends even presented
me a book titled "Indian versus British English". I refused to accept
his gift, because I was offended. (Big time) The reason behind my habit of
correcting other people's English is not my profession. I use to do this even
when I was a student.

I squirm whenever I hear poor English, not only in day-to-day life even on
radio, TV, billboards... I mean media channels.

So, now let me recall the common
mistakes…

Less is used when comparing quantities that can not be counted but measured. 'Milk'

Most irritating one being: ‘Anyways’. Dear style freak, it’s ANYWAY and
not anyways!!! To be explanatory ANY means koi
bhi and WAY means rasta. So, be
logical and think how you can say koi bhi
raste. Similarly 'NO WAY', how it can be 'no ways'.

Then, people also use some words
twice, like, different-different. The reason behind this wrong usage is: people
translate Hindi or Punjabi to English. Different means alag alag…so when you
say different different it will mean alag alag alag alag. Sounds funny!

Another funny usage is of the word
‘they’ for single person if he or she is elder or as a sign of respect for him
or her. True Story! I would have been very glad to disclose the name but then…it
will hurt her and maybe someone I love won’t like me in such an ugly avatar!

Talking of respect…sometimes
people tend use salutation and title together! E.g. Ms. Sonam Ma’am!!! By god, I
could not resist the giggle.

Often I receive mails says ‘revert
back’ revert means to turn so it’s understood that turn will be in opposite
direction, why waste a word telling the direction. Many a time people say ‘repeat
again’ ignoring the fact that repeat itself means to say or do something again,
so by saying repeat again you are again wasting a word.

There is no word 'proudly' in
English, but it commonly used by people. The word ultimate is used a lot
by some people (everything is ultimate for them, the chilled beer or barbecued
chicken) only if they knew that it means something which last in the list or
greatest extreme.

Then there’s different two used
for single meaning like disinterested
(without interest) and uninterested
(Not interested). I hope the difference in meaning of without and no is
known!!!

A simple way to prevent these
errors is to think in English whatever you plan to speak or write in English. Even
simpler is to read good books with an open eye. Unfortunately our generation
mostly picks up English from people in media specially the idiot box, which is
no longer educating!

I, like many others, have always been interested in knowing
about my future. And to know about the future I read a lot of ‘Horoscope’
columns and strips in newspaper and even online. The kind of curious I’m, I
read not just about my own sun sign (Libra) but also about my Pops’ (Virgo), my
lil brother’s (Cancer), Momsy’s (Aries) and recent addition is my fiancé ‘s
(Pisces). And I have got into a habit of reading all stuff about their
characteristics, thanks to the 6 subject notebook of N***N**** publications
which is all I carried in 5 years of my college life and of course to Linda
Goodman!

This made me know a lot of about people, their behavior,
nature and personality, which sometimes becomes a problem…I start judging
people accordingly. Many a time the judgment is correct but not always. And
this is dangerous…I’m at the threshold of losing good friends and acquaintances
just because I thought otherwise about them. So recently I have started to avoid
asking people's sun signs, so that I don’t assume anything about them before
actually knowing them. And now if I ask
your date of birth, it implies that I am impressed and want to know you better.
J

I wonder if I’m a typical LIBRAN, only because I have been
reading so much about ‘what a Librans are like’:p

Interestingly, Librans don’t have good compatibility with Cancerians,
all my best buddies (my brother, from school-time best friend Pslam to best
friend in college Shivani Mehra and at workplace Harpreet sir (Harry Potter),
Gazal ma’am, all are cancerians. I can claim no one knows Cancerians better
than me, even they don't.

Here presenting my readers... how they can be popular at
their workplace.

People wonder someone is so known, popular and hhmmm WANTED…there is no magic
wand with that person it’s just that the person is an open minded human being!

And when I say, open minded it implies he/she is friendly
and polite to everyone. He/she shows empathy to all who talk or discuss with
him/her. Being friendly is the easiest thing to do…and so much fun. You may get
to hear to real awesome stories of other people’s life and learn from their experience.
Of course display of empathy can be a difficult
task but believe me it’s not a roadie task!

At the age of 25, if I’m pleased to get any compliments,
then it seems normal to all…but the actual thing is that we may grow as old as
we can but we still fish for compliments…for instance my chemistry teacher in
school at the age of 45+ was too happy to get any compliment…even a comment
which seemed to a compliment!!! I hope you got hidden pun. So the point is…DROP
A COMPLIMENT whenever you see someone looking good or doing well. J
Talking of my daily give and take of compliments…there’s this young married
lady, who is faculty of CSE/IT named Dalveer Kaur Grewal and seriously I love her dressing sense specifically
because she is married and still able to look decent, sober and beautiful in
western formals she has to wear as an employee. Every morning as I see her…I give
a compliment about her looks: ‘looking good ma’am’ and she replies with ‘same
to you Sonam’ and recently I have started to ponder I compliment her because I know
she is modest enough to say ‘same to you Sonam’. Whatever it is, I like it.

People would rarely listen to your problems…it’s not matter
of having solutions to them…but generally it seems to be employee tendency to avoid
other employees who are cribbing all the time! Atleast true to me, for the simple
reason that while complaining about their over load and stuff they will soon
start talking about your over load and try to set up a relation in which both
the person and me become friends because we have overload of work or someone else
is under loaded. So the point here is
NOT TO CRIB all the time! You are here (your workplace) for whatever time enjoy
that time making sweet happy memories.

And if you are to make really happy memories…then you got to
tickle a funny bone! Yes, very clearly I’m asking you to BE LITTLE FUNNY. Now this
does not imply that you will keep on cracking jokes every time you like to, but
to find appropriate space and time to do so. It would have made my PH shout at
me or even fire for that matter in case I would have told him he looked funny
wearing yellow colored socks and that color of his teeth matched exactly with
his yellow socks! I shared this shitty information all my friends at work and
also my classmates. (I was an intern back then)

And when I said human being, it implied that you have to BE
THERE FOR YOUR COLLEAGUES or co-workers! Call them as you like them to be
called. You have got a heart…which has emotions…hopefully. So, you are
requested to display those emotions atleast in bad times. God listens to all
our prayers even if they are silent…but destiny is cruel and can turn things
upside down any time on anyone. You spent eight hours of the day working,
talking, eating and making merry with those very colleagues so it’s like your
moral duty to be helpful to them.

Needless to say, HAVE POSITIVE BODY LANGUAGE which is a sure sign of positive frame
of mind and positive attitude to work. I can count numerous names of people who
talk to me just because I talk lot of positivity! True Story: p Jokes apart it
is good to talk to people who are low! Even if you are able to help in the literal
sense but they will be relaxed after sharing their experience.

Have happy working hours!

I have been thinking of writing to all the single ladies
from quite a long time but was delaying it on second thoughts worrying I may
not hurt them. But the irony of the situation is that they are already in no
good mood to get in a bad one! So there is no more wasting of time and I’m going
to write this…yes!

Unfortunately I’m surrounded by many of single ladies and
hear a lot about their oh-not-so-real problems that I get confused, if all my
twenty five years have been an illusion of happiness and not actually
happiness.

They crib about being single…for god’s sake women why you
want to lose your freedom!!! Is it not enough that you mom calls every ten
minutes when you are out with friends mind you your female friends…why you wish
to have another man asking you about your whereabouts every now and then! (It is
sweet if like caring men mind you most of them are possessive ones: D)

They complain about not being able to enjoy life…is life
enjoyable only when you can walk in hands with someone??? That’s another feeling…why
don’t you walk holding loads of shopping bags and chatting dramatically with
your friends about all the stuff you
bought or call your mom to the things you bought for yourself and finally for
her! (You should buy gifts for your lovely parents too and make them smile…remember
how mommy use to buy all the ugly stuff just to make you stop crying for it)

They also nag about being tired of looking for someone
somewhere…all thanks to YashRaj and some credit to Shah Rukh Khan! If you are
tired of searching for the right person then stopping finding him…whenever it
is to happen it will happen. Waiting is suffering one of them quoted when I suggested
this solution… I think somewhat differently…ENJOY the wait!!! All life you are going
to be the person you are wishing to be now…and what about the person you are right
now...though I have no personal experience on this but still I can say that,
then you will desperately want to be the person you are right now!!! I too
watch lot of Hindi movies: p

Most importantly never be jealous of a girl who has found
someone…ultimately you too are going to find one!!! Instead plan what all you
will do once you get into the courtship period! Plan what all fun things you
will do with him…what all you will do with your look…what all you will do to
please him!!!

My first sincere request to all the single ladies is to “GET
A LIFE” and my second sincere request to all the single ladies is to “BE
AWESOME”

Life is too small to crib…enjoy it to the fullest! Be happy
ladies you have got the power!
