Regardless, as I&rsquo;ve said before, it is clear now that delivery was the big issue for Governor Stitt. That&rsquo;s actually helpful to know for sure. I don&rsquo;t think the seed to sale system has anything to do with that, and the statement reflects a lack of full understanding how that works, but I believe he believes it&rsquo;s essential. I&rsquo;m not sure where he sources his information, but we need to work to get him better and more educated sources.<br />&nbsp; We have to take it upon ourselves to educate him and those that advise him and the legislature on these areas where they seem to have terrible information (It would be helpful if Governor Stitt would take a meeting about this, hint, hint). I&rsquo;ve expressed my own concerns that delivery could present a myriad of problems, so I understand some hesitation.</div> </td> <td class="wsite-multicol-col" style="width:34.429400386847%; padding:0 15px;"> <div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none " style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"> <a> <img src="https://www.soonerpolitics.org/uploads/1/6/2/2/16224166/published/226119499.png?1591744807" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%" /> </a> <div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div> </div></div> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div></div></div> <div> <!--BLOG_SUMMARY_END--></div> <div><div style="height: 20px; overflow: hidden; width: 100%;"></div> <hr class="styled-hr" style="width:100%;"></hr> <div style="height: 20px; overflow: hidden; width: 100%;"></div></div> <div><div class="wsite-multicol"><div class="wsite-multicol-table-wrap" style="margin:0 -15px;"> <table class="wsite-multicol-table"> <tbody class="wsite-multicol-tbody"> <tr class="wsite-multicol-tr"> <td class="wsite-multicol-col" style="width:50%; padding:0 15px;"> <div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none " style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0px;margin-right:0px;text-align:center"> <a href='https://www.soonerpolitics.org/uploads/1/6/2/2/16224166/edited/stitt-hb3228-solutions.jpg' rel='lightbox' onclick='if (!lightboxLoaded) return false'> <img src="https://www.soonerpolitics.org/uploads/1/6/2/2/16224166/published/stitt-hb3228-solutions.jpg?1591745022" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%" /> </a> <div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div> </div></div> </td> <td class="wsite-multicol-col" style="width:50%; padding:0 15px;"> <div class="paragraph"><span>&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;I do not agree it was rushed as it was in a bill filed at the beginning of the session, but arguing that point isn&rsquo;t going to change anything. We need to make clear that the patient caregiver license isn&rsquo;t an option for everyone and has its own inefficiencies making delivery an essential future service. It&rsquo;s my position we don&rsquo;t need a statute to make delivery happen, and I will be pushing for the will of the people via the regulations that OMMA will be adopting. I&rsquo;m confident we can, if we do this right, make this happen for those that need it. The only think I think in HB3228 that we can&rsquo;t get done without a special session is the 90 day temporary license for people from out of state, but I&rsquo;m keen to see if I can figure out something.</span><br /><span>&nbsp; I am still confident that a way forward to resolve the big hurdles will be achieved including protecting patient information, resolving the residency problem for people that moved here, and the mess of the 1,000 foot school and preschool change made last year. I will have more solid information on how that&rsquo;s going to happen for everyone tomorrow.</span><br /><span>&nbsp; Finally, I am going to venture out to a meeting on Friday with the director of OBNDD. It will be my first in person meeting since the last procedure, so clearly it is important. I need to know, from you all, what ways do you see people illegally bringing in products from out of state. How are they doing it? How are they covering it up. Post comments below or message me. I know the ways I&rsquo;ve seen, but I&rsquo;m curious to see what you all are experiencing. We need to protect Oklahoma patients, farmers and processors, and stopping the illegal activity is essential to preserving this vital program.</span><br /><span>&nbsp; Sorry for lack of updates.
