Victor Paul of Victor Paul Salon in Costa Mesa, CA, is making waves in the pageant circuit…literally! A two-time nominee for the North American Hairdresser Awards, Victor Paul has a wide spectrum of creative and technically abilities that make him perfect to style Ms. Texas’ marvelous mane. Representing Texas in the 2012 Ms. United States pageant competition, Corinne Devin brings a mix of beauty and brains to the event. “[Pageants] let me flaunt my girly side and balance out my all-business naval career,” explains the United States Navy Lieutenant. “They also afford me the opportunity to do some good in the community, for which I am very proud and honored.”

To create timeless looks for this Renaissance woman, salon owner Victor Paul designed two styles to emphasize Devin’s femininity. For her first look, he added mousse to her damp hair and blow-dried with a round brush for added volume. Small sections of dry hair were ruled around a curling rod, pinned to cool, unpinned and finger-styled lengths for a loose look.

To create Devin’s carefree upsweep, Paul smoothed her hair and created a center Mohawk of knots. After twisting sections on each side, he knotted them together on top—pinning each section into place and misting with extra-hold hairspray. Talk about making a statement! Her stunning style is ready for crowning.
