	<title>B'TSELEM - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories</title>

&lt;p class="runing-text"&gt;&lt;span class="sub2-title"&gt;B'TSELEM&lt;/span&gt; - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories was established in 1989 by a group of prominent academics, attorneys, journalists, and Knesset members. It endeavors to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories, combat the phenomenon of denial prevalent among the Israeli public, and help create a human rights culture in Israel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="runing-text"&gt;B'Tselem in Hebrew literally means "in the image of," and is also used as a synonym for human dignity. The word is taken from Genesis 1:27, "And God created humans in his image. In the image of God did He create him." It is in this spirit that the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "All human beings are born equal in dignity and rights."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="runing-text"&gt;As an Israeli human rights organization, B'Tselem acts primarily to change Israeli policy in the Occupied Territories and ensure that its government, which rules the Occupied Territories, protects the human rights of residents there and complies with its obligations under international law.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

	<description>&lt;p&gt;The Jewish Fast for Gaza is an ad hoc group of rabbis, Jews, and people of conscience who have committed to undertake a monthly daytime fast in support of the following goals:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1. To call for a lifting of the blockade that prevents the entry of civilian goods and services into Gaza;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. To provide humanitarian and developmental aid to the people of Gaza;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. To call upon Israel, the US, and the international community to engage in negotiations without pre-conditions with all relevant Palestinian parties - including Hamas - in order to end the blockade;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4. To encourage the American government to vigorously engage both Israelis and Palestinians toward a just and peaceful settlement of the conflict.&lt;/p&gt;

	<title>Hakarat Hatov and Thanksgiving Lesson Plan</title>

	<description>BabagaNewz.com presents a new lesson plan entitled Hakarat Hatov and Thanksgiving. &lt;br /&gt;This lesson is a great way to integrate Judaic and general studies, and emphasize Jewish &lt;br /&gt;values in the celebration of Thanksgiving. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this lesson, students will study Birkat Hamazon to explore how its theme of hakarat &lt;br /&gt;hatov, recognizing the good that God provides, resonates on Thanksgiving. The lesson &lt;br /&gt;uses berakhot and includes the following Hebrew texts: Devarim 8:10, Talmud Megillah &lt;br /&gt;18A, Rashi on Talmud Megillah 18A, and Psalm 92. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After exploring the themes and texts, students will create a project that brings the value &lt;br /&gt;of hakarat hatov to their families' Thanksgiving celebrations.
