NUJLS is the National Union of Jewish Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex Students. NUJLS was founded in 1997 by a small but dedicated group of thirty students. In the ten years since then NUJLS has held a national conference each year at a different university around the United States and reached more than 750 students. These conferences feature speakers, text study, and workshops on topics such as Judaism and queerness, activism, relationships, ethics, coming out, and politics, as well as providing an opportunity for students to build community, network, and practice Judaism in a queer context.

NUJLS welcomes Jews of all backgrounds and practices from Orthodox to Renewal, from those just beginning their conversion process to those born Jewish.

Starting in 2007 NUJLS also offers a small grant and training program for queer Jewish students organizing on their campus, beginning queer Jewish student groups, or existing student groups.

Ta'anit Tzedek - Jewish Fast For Gaza

The Jewish Fast for Gaza is an ad hoc group of rabbis, Jews, and people of conscience who have committed to undertake a monthly daytime fast in support of the following goals:

1. To call for a lifting of the blockade that prevents the entry of civilian goods and services into Gaza;

2. To provide humanitarian and developmental aid to the people of Gaza;

3. To call upon Israel, the US, and the international community to engage in negotiations without pre-conditions with all relevant Palestinian parties - including Hamas - in order to end the blockade;

4. To encourage the American government to vigorously engage both Israelis and Palestinians toward a just and peaceful settlement of the conflict.

B'TSELEM - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories

B'TSELEM - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories was established in 1989 by a group of prominent academics, attorneys, journalists, and Knesset members. It endeavors to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories, combat the phenomenon of denial prevalent among the Israeli public, and help create a human rights culture in Israel.

B'Tselem in Hebrew literally means "in the image of," and is also used as a synonym for human dignity. The word is taken from Genesis 1:27, "And God created humans in his image. In the image of God did He create him." It is in this spirit that the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "All human beings are born equal in dignity and rights."

As an Israeli human rights organization, B'Tselem acts primarily to change Israeli policy in the Occupied Territories and ensure that its government, which rules the Occupied Territories, protects the human rights of residents there and complies with its obligations under international law.

PANIM seeks to inspire every individual who participates in one of our programs to pursue their own vision of a better world-by working in homeless shelters and food pantries, by lobbying for policies that support Israel in her quest for peace, by advocating for a more compassionate and just society, by raising ecological consciousness. In this way, we believe we are doing our part to ensure that the Jewish youth of today will bring the legacy of the Biblical Prophets into the world that they will soon inherit.

OTZMA's Israel Teaching Corps (ITC)

OTZMA's Israel Teaching Corps (ITC) is a 10-month program for North American college graduates to teach English in under-served Israeli public schools.

The goals of ITC are to:

Provide North American college graduates with an opportunity to participate in a grass-roots volunteer/service program in Israel;
Impact thousands of young Israelis through people-to-people exposure with North Americans;
To provide volunteer teachers in under-served schools throughout Israel, and;
To connect ITC volunteers with North American Federation partnership communities and educate participants on the programs Federation invest in and the people who live there.

The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation RESIST Curriculum

The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation has produced a comprehensive and thought-provoking new curriculum called RESIST. The lessons of RESIST transmit ethics and enduring understandings arising from the stories of the Jewish partisans. RESIST is designed for 6th - 12th grade students in formal and informal settings, and is divided into four main subject areas: History, Values, Leadership, and Heroes.

The Teva Learning Center, North America's foremost Jewish Environmental Education Institute, is a non-denominational educational service for participants from throughout the Jewish community. On1Foot, a project of American Jewish World Service, is a searchable online database of Jewish social justice texts designed to support rabbis and Jewish educators who want to teach about Judaism and social justice. Users can allows users to search and browse hundreds of biblical, rabbinic and contemporary Jewish texts about social justice, upload new texts and create custom source sheets using the texts and suggested discussion questions.

The mission of the Jewish Women's Archive (JWA) is to uncover, chronicle, and transmit to a broad public the rich history of American Jewish women.

A national non-profit organization founded in 1995 and based in Brookline, MA, the Jewish Women's Archive presents the stories, struggles, and achievements of Jewish women in North America. We create and disseminate educational materials, develop partnerships, sponsor programs, conduct and support original research, and maintain an innovative website all designed to help us understand our past and shape our future.
