Recently my GPS stopped working.  The screen had a really weird color pattern and none of the direction options appeared.  I was heartsick because I had come to depend on this  little bit of technology to guide me around whatever city I was in, flawlessly directing me to my destination choices.   It was a gift from my children, who had talked me through my many creative side trips (of course, I was never lost … just traveling a path less traveled!).  Since it was within the 12-month warranty period, I was able to send it to the manufacturer for repairs.  When it came back, better than new because it had been loaded with all kinds of map updates and improved features, I welcomed it into my life like an old friend.    What I love about the GPS is that it is always in contact with satellite communication and I get instant answers to keep me going in the right direction.

MY SPIRITUAL WORLD INTERNAL GPS

Connecting with your angels and inner guidance is like using an “internal GPS.”  There are three keys to successful communication.  FIRST, make sure it is ready to use.  Relaxation allows you to tune into the source of the power.  “Be still and know that I am God.”)  SECOND, set your inner dial and remove all static by cleansing your personal energy (aura) and your environmental energy.  THIRD, go into the presence of your inner guidance.  Angels and inner guidance vibrate at a higher level than our human personal energy.  When we are ready to communicate, we feel a charge of energy.  Some call it “quickening of the flesh,” others describe it as chills or goosebumps.  We all have experienced it and only our  angels and inner guidance can create that sensation.  When we detect that vibration we are assured that we have established a solid connection with our inner guidance.   Knowing you have reliable direction, you are ready to begin your spiritual journey.

Self Mastery Thru Self Understanding

One day, having decided his work was done, he came down the mountain and into the village. As he walked through the crowded marketplace, he was accidentally bumped by a passerby. Ignoring the apology offered, he jumped back in indignation, raised his fist and shouted angrily at the surprised passerby.

Suddenly, it dawned on him that all of his work on self mastery, his years of contemplation in God Consciousness, had been for naught. If a simple “bump” from another person could knock him off-pivot and send him into outworn reaction patterns, there was still much work to be done.

This story is our story too. The journey to self mastery is everyone’s destination and rarely is a straight path from point A to point B. Usually, there are some detours and even backtracking that takes place. As we progress on our spiritual journey, occasionally, we will slip or fall. With awareness, we find that we can catch ourselves sooner and reset our course more quickly.

SELF MASTERY THROUGH SELF REFLECTION

Self mastery is expressing the unique life purpose you were born to bring to the world. Although each of us unfolds our divinity differently, there are certain lessons that all of us must learn; tests that we must pass. One of the fastest ways to get back on purpose when you have veered off track is to regroup, that is reflect, on the situation you are experiencing.

The other day I was traveling from Kentucky to Florida. For some reason, none of the luggage for passengers boarding my flight at Cincinnati got put on the plane.
The airline reps in Florida assured us that the luggage would be delivered that night on a flight arriving around 11:30 p.m. I caught a shuttle to a nearby hotel and put up for the night. Midnight, 1, 2, a.m. … still no luggage.
I had checked out the situation with my angel team, and was reassured that I would be getting my luggage. But something about the experience was triggering feelings of irritation and frustration; obviously, I had slipped off “the path.”
What I should have done was release the problem, get a good night’s sleep and assess the situation the next morning.
What I did, for about two hours before I drifted off to a restless sleep, was allow myself to worry about my “stuff,” how I felt about not having my makeup, and, since my cell phone charger was in the luggage, wondering how the airlines would contact me if my cell phone died. The ultimate mind game was trying to remember everything in the luggage, in case it never showed up and had to be replaced.
My luggage was delivered at 4:30 in the morning. My world was right again. But, by reflecting on the experience, I realized I had “uncooked seeds” about attachment to things and trusting others to do their part. Good lessons to check off my spiritual bucket list. Wonder what lessons spirit has in store for me next?

Intuition as Inner Guidance:

Everyone has a spiritual inner GPS that reveals itself to you through  intuition.  Your intuition may be revealed as a still, small voice that you hear, a dream or vision that you see, a gut feeling that you sense, or a flash of understanding that you just know that you know.  Some refer to intuition as Extrasensory Perception, but this sixth-sense is your birthright and can be developed to give you a winning edge in life.

Can you recall a time in your life when you knew who was calling before you even picked up the phone?  Have you ever been thinking of someone and, within a short time, you either ran into them in person or somehow reconnected?  It is intuitive experiences such as these that started me on my journey to “Self Mastery.”

In 1966 my husband and I found ourselves in dire circumstances.  We had opened our first practice, had our first child, and then lost all financial security when our office failed.  Suddenly my life went topsy-turvy.  My husband was a gifted healer, but neither of us knew anything about the business of running a business.

Discovering My Life Purpose

One day as my husband was driving home, he heard about a lecture that was being presented in our area.  The topic was how to develop intuition to gain a winning edge in life.  We both attended and our lives were forever transformed.

I was introduced to universal principles that gave me a larger view of my place in the universe.  I learned that intuition is the language of higher consciousness.  We have the five senses of taste, touch, sight, sound and smell, to navigate the physical world.  We also have the intuitive senses of clairaudience, clairsentience, clairvoyance, and claircognizance (prophecy) to navigate the unseen world; the world of spirituality and imagination.  By balancing the world of fact and of faith, my sense of self emerged.  I learned that To know yourself is to know God. To understand yourself is to understand the world.

As I worked with the program, my level of consciousness increased, my intuitive abilities blossomed, and I was able to make inspired decisions that moved me forward on my path in life.  Within a few years, we built what was for many years one of the largest chiropractic practices in the state of Kentucky.  Large numbers of patients came to us for healing.  Abundance flowed into our lives.  What started out as an impossible dream became our reality.

My husband passed in 2003.  As I contemplated what to do with the rest of my life, I was inspired to share the message and tools that had transformed my life.

Intuition and a Blueprint for Self Mastery:

I realized that in my “Search for Self” I had discovered a Blueprint for Self Mastery that can work for everyone.  Today, my passion is to coach others so that that they too can step into their greatness.

Today I would like to share how developing your intuition can give you a winning edge in life.

The word intuition means “inner teacher.”  Some people call it a “hunch,” but we all have experienced this beyond-the-physical senses “aha!” moment.  Perhaps you knew who was calling before you picked up the phone, or had been thinking about someone you had not seen for a long time and they suddenly appear in your life.  This “sixth sense” is our internal GPS that is meant to guide us through the maze we call life.  We have the 5 physical senses of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch to navigate the physical world.  According to Quantum Physics, we also have at least four additional senses to navigate the unseen world of spirituality and imagination.

Developing your intuition is a trainable skill. 

Tuning into your intuition is like fine-tuning the dial on your radio.  When you have clear channel, the information can be easily understood.  There are four distinct intuitive perceptions; I call them the four “Clairs”:

1.   Clairaudience (clear inner hearing) – people high in this intuitive sense obtain their insights through thoughts or words that they “hear” within.   This is referred to as the “still, small voice.”

2.   Clairvoyance (clear inner vision) – people high in this intuitive sense obtain their insights through visions, dreams, images, and symbols.  Often they have a “photographic mind.”

3.  Clairsentience (clear inner feeling) – people high in this intuitive sense obtain their insights through “gut feeling” and sensations.  They are “touchy/feely” people who may pat your arm or shoulder when talking with you.

4.    Claircognizance (clear inner knowing) – people high in this intuitive sense obtain their insights through inner knowing.  Their insights come to them in a flash and “just know” that they know.

Forty years ago, my life was transformed when I learned to use my intuition. From near bankruptcy to building one of the largest chiropractic practices in the state of Kentucky, there were many “aha” moments between dream and reality.

By 1979 our practice was growing and we were ready to expand into a larger facility.  Our intuition led us to a prime piece of property that was part of a subdivision that had restrictions against business use.  Two chain stores had tried to have the subdivision restriction lifted by going through zoning appeals; both failed.

We were advised to attempt lifting a subdivision restriction by signature.  The process involved going door to door to the 124 homes and getting the signature of every homeowner (husband and wife if both were on the deed).  That is 100%, not majority; almost would not be good enough.

We were down to the final signature.  We had talked to Bob several times, but he had drawn a line in the sand and he was not budging.  He had been part of the previous “stop businesses” campaigns and he wanted to stop it again.

What transpired is the stuff that movies are made of and to this day it still amazes me to think about!

Our dreams hung on his decision.  It appeared as though this was the way our hard work would end … a single signature short of 100%.  As we prayed and meditated, my intuition sent me a vision of a man opening a letter and holding it over his heart.  I checked further and received the message that this man was a feeling type of person, a clairsentient who made decisions based on how he felt about a situation.  He needed to be touched heart to heart by us.  We had shown Bob the architectural drawings, we had talked to his logical mind, but we had not conveyed our “feelings” of how our office would be a good thing for the community and that all his neighbors “felt good” about our plans.

Our final effort was to write him a letter, straight from our hearts to his.  I knew that if we touched his soul, it would work. This time, Bob was touched.  He felt the honest intent we represented.  He signed the document and personally delivered it to us.

There are three “aha’s” I learned from this experience:

1. My biggest breakthrough was that I “got it” … I finally knew exactly how intuitive messages were communicated to me.
2. I also learned that I could rely on answers I received through intuition to make important decisions.
3. And last, I learned that it was by acting decisively on my intuition that my dream came true.

May the dreams that you dream today be the tomorrow that you find.
