NEW Online Store Imminent

The Soul Inspirationz Online Store is expected to be launched in the next few days.

Currently NZ customers have only been able to purchase via Trade Me, and this service will continue to operate, especially for new release and bargain titles. The Online Store lists titles over and above what is available on Trade Me, both in stock and to be ordered in.

However, the store is for New Zealand customers only. International visitors to the Soul Inspirationz website are encouraged to use the various links to Amazon.com on the main website, especially on the Author Showcase pages. Purchases made there will still be supporting the efforts of Soul Inspirationz.

So stay tuned for the announcement of the launch of the Soul Inspirationz Online Store!

The first phase of the relaunch of the rebranded "Christian Fiction Site", now called "Soul Inspirationz", has now begun. The new website can now be previewed at http://www.soulinspirationz.com/

While there are only a few pages to browse at the moment, more will be added over time, especially the two main sections: author showcase pages, and the online store (which is planned for launch the first quarter of 2011).

Happy New Year!

The first day of 2011 means that it won't be long before the refurbished http://www.christianfictionsite.com/ is relaunched, with new focus and an additional website URL to match it's new identity: http://www.soulinspirationz.com/

While the site will continually be a work in progress, a few author pages have been created in time for the launch, and they include the following: Beverly Lewis, BJ Hoff, Bonnie Leon, Deborah Raney, Deanna Gist, Francine Rivers, Karen Kingsbury, Kathleen Fuller, Kaye Dacus, Kim Vogel Sawyer, Lynn Austin, Mary Connealy, MaryLu Tyndall, Rita Gerlach, Tamera Alexander, Wanda Brunstetter & Wanda Dyson.

I've just completed my first author page and thought I'd give Francine Rivers the honour of being the first one. Here's a quick preview of what the page will look like:

The page has more to it but all will be revealed when the site goes live. I have a few more author pages to create before considering going live, plus I need to sort out a few other things as well.

Any suggestions for which authors I should be working on first? The few I'd like to target first myself are:
Mary Connealy (an author I am reading at the moment and LOVING!)
Karen Kingsbury (of course)
Lynn Austin
Wanda Brunstetter
Beverly Lewis
Brock & Bodie Thoene
Ted Dekker
Kim Vogel Sawyer
Lauraine Snelling
Tracie Peterson
Judith Miller
Terri Blackstock
Brandilyn Collins
Tamera Alexander
Deeanne Gist
Hannah Alexander
Rene Gutteridge

The majority of the above authors currently have titles in the ECPA top 20, others are a few personal faves.

Ideally, the less titles an author has, the quicker it will be to get a page created, so ones like Karen Kingsbury and Tracie Peterson will take AGES to create! And other authors I've always loved such as Gilbert Morris & Janette Oke have the same issue. ESPECIALLY Gilbert Morris!!

Any comments or suggestions are gratefully appreciated. Let me know your thoughts on which authors I should focus on first :-)

Due to increased interest, I had to make the effort on beginning the revamp of the website. It may be a while before it goes live with a new home and extra features like an online store, but I have started on the main pages. And now that I've begun, I'm itching to move forward. So here's hoping it won't be too long before you can all see what I'm beginning to see take shape :-)

As a sneak peek, take a quick look at the index page slowly taking shape:

It has a good way to go yet, but I'm happy with how it's looking after a few hours of work.

Now it'll take mega hours to get all the content added, plus an online store. I only know "old school" html, so it's going to take a while to build. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end....

I'll keep you posted with how the progress is going :-)

Time to start a blog. Have no idea at this stage how this works, but will give it a go!

After running The Christian Fiction Site for 10 years (first known as "Ellie's World of Christian Fiction") and losing the ability to keep it updated on a regular basis, I'm now endeavouring to start up a new web presence for the site with a real online store for NZ customers, as well as links to Amazon.com. It will have a makeover done, complete with new identity - no longer will it be simply "The Christian Fiction Site"... this will become a byline for the new name: Soul Inspirationz.

Already Soul Inspirationz has a web presence: on the top NZ auction site Trade Me (with approximately 50 titles listed for sale every day, both new books and bargains), on Facebook, and on Twitter. Also, an email address: soulinspirationz@gmail.com Next up, this blog, and finally a revamped website. This Soul Inspirationz blog will hopefully track the progress in this area, as well as highlight some great titles up for sale to NZ customers, and book reviews of titles that I've been reading from my private collection, and may or may not have for sale in my store.

So join me for the ride... I'm believing for great things ahead :-)
